Blair Images is a wedding photography business based in Boston, MA. Christopher Blair of Blair Images is originally from the West Coast and moved to New England in 2014. His first career out West was in newspaper journalism. He won recognition for his news and feature writing and won the Society of Professional Journalists’ Rookie of the Year award in 1994. Writing and editing for five Oregon newspapers, Chris learned how to shoot from some of the Pacific Northwest's finest news photographers. Their techniques and storytelling methods influence his work to this day.
After earning his master’s degree in education in 1995, Chris enjoyed a 17-year teaching career. He used photography to teach astronomy to at-risk youth in Portland, Ore. He moved to New Hampshire to become a school administrator and now lives outside of Boston.
New England’s people, culture, and landscapes inspired Chris to devote more of his time to photography soon after he arrived. He began selling his work in 2014 and helped shoot his first wedding soon after. His scenic images have been sold in restaurants, coffee shops, and craft fairs around New Hampshire and Maine. Chris has experience with every kind of photography, from weddings to parties to corporate events.

Great communication, very easy to work with, he got so many pictures without being intrusive. We trusted his process to get the kind of shots we wanted and he delivered over and over again. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with Christopher, I would hire him again in a heartbeat!
Chris is a true professional. Not only is he talented behind the camera, but his kind, energetic personality made him enjoyable to work with. He arrived on time, maintained a friendly demeanor throughout the day and with our guests, and made us feel at ease throughout the day. He was patient and listened to our ideas/suggestions and was able to get shots of everything we wanted. We love our photos and would highly recommend him.
From just contacting for preliminary pricing at the very beginning of our wedding planning process, to meeting up for our engagement shoot, straight through to the minute he left our reception, Chris was a pleasure and a delight to work with for our big day! His ability to communicate clearly and his flexibility with our hopes and requests, as well as his clear instruction and the calmly positive vibes he brings made Chris the perfect fit for all of our photography needs. His second shooter for our wedding day, Brittany, was also a treat to work with, and was so bubbly yet professional throughout the day. Before Chris left for the evening, he checked in with me to make sure we got any last shots we might not have already gotten (you know - those group and couple photos your mom and aunts *need*), and was the epitome of patience and fun while we gathered people and got those last pictures. Even our guests and family remarked upon how fun, funny, and patient both Chris and Brittany were with every interaction.
Chris' pricing is far less than he could be charging for such quality photography, regular and clear communication, and pleasure it was to work with him.
I can't speak to the speed at which we receive our actual wedding photos, as it's now wedding season, and our day was merely 3 days ago. However, when we shot our engagement shoot (exactly a year prior to our wedding), Chris had those pictures ready and sent to us less than three weeks later! He is more than fair with his time and talents, and my husband and I think you should all do yourselves the favor of booking Chris before he gets booked by someone else!

My husband hired Chris to photograph our proposal and he did such an amazing job that we had to have him at our wedding! Chris knocked it out of the park at our wedding with the help of his lovely assistant Brittany! We couldn’t have been happier with how the photos came out and we highly recommend him!

Blair Images is absolutely amazing to work with! Chris took our wedding pictures this past January up in Jackson, NH. We live in Merrimack but he drove up to Jackson and back home that same day for us! He also took my son’s and my daughter’s senior pictures, going above and beyond with both of them! Chris is such an easy going, relaxed and fun person to work with. He communicates very well with you throughout the entire wedding process and makes sure to capture any and all pictures that you want! Absolutely amazing communication. Great energy and fun to work with. He is very thorough in creating an outline for your event and knowing ahead of time the shots you want. I have been recommending him to everyone I know for everything they could possibly need a photographer for. Could not be happier with our wedding album!
Christopher did a wonderful job for us as our wedding photographer. He was a pleasure to work with and fit right in with our guests. He gave us hundreds of fabulous shots at the church ceremony, on the beach after the ceremony and before the reception. (We lucked out with the nice weather and full moon that evening which Christopher took full advantage of!) and priceless photos of the reception. Christopher was punctual, professional and came through with everything we had hoped for in a wedding photographer. Christopher promptly sent us a gallery so we were able to go through of all the photos at our leisure and request edits if wanted. We actually didn't need any edits as the pictures were fine as they were. I highly recommend Christopher Blair Images!

Chris was responsive, easy to work with, and the photos came out really well. He was willing to work with us to edit a few photos as well. We wanted to go for minimalism with our wedding photography and more candids than staged photos, and Chris was very willing to follow our lead on that. Highly recommend!

Chris is amazing! He took our engagement pictures, photographed our first small COVID wedding and our later big blow out party wedding, and created a wonderful photo book that seamlessly combined photos from all events. Chris really did it all. He took great photos, from the traditional, the candids, and the group shots, all the way to the portraits — he nailed all of them. Chris is also just genuinely a good human being and fun to work with — everything you want on your wedding day. He listens and is observant, capturing all of the important moments and more. We’d hire Chris again and recommend him to anyone.

Working with Chris has been the very best! Even with us having to postpone our wedding in 2020 due to the pandemic, from the moment we first reached out all the way through to after our wedding day, Chris has been so responsive and easy to work with! He genuinely cares about making sure your wedding day is captured just the way you want it, and the pictures he captures are as gorgeous as can be...even with clouds coming in and it being way windier than expected on our wedding day! I can say both my husband and I are not the most comfortable people in front of a camera, but he made us feel so at ease. He also flawlessly fit in with our friends and family, feeling almost like he was a guest at the wedding himself. The candid shots he was able to capture on the dance floor are also some of our favorites! Along with him for our wedding day was Brittany who also did an exceptional job at capturing so many beautiful moments! The two of them made a great team! We also had an "engagement" photo shoot with Chris on what would have been our wedding day back in 2020, and it was the best way to get used to his photography style and build a relationship that definitely made us trust him even more on our wedding day! We got married on August 29, 2020, after having postponed our first date due to COVID. Chris was amazing every step of the way. When we first met Chris, we had such a good feeling about him, we really liked his personality. We could have never guessed that our wedding would be postponed, but Chris was fantastic, was always responsive and always was there to settle our worries. On the day of the wedding, Chris was wonderful. It was raining but you'd never know it from the shots. He was completely flexible when we had to go inside, outside, and on the porch to get different pictures. The whole night he was working so hard, and the pictures show it. He got some incredible photos of us and our guests, and it really made me feel like I got to relive the entire day when we got the photos back.

Everyone in both parties made my job easy by being so mellow and fun to work with. Your wedding was a lesson for me (and the rest of the world, why not?) in how to roll with it and just celebrate good company and special occasions. We got married July 12, 2019 at Fuller Gardens in North Hampton, NH. Chris was amazing! He captured the most intimate and beautiful moments. All our family and bridal party were incredibly impressed with his go with flow attitude and willingness to capture every shot! Chris has an eye like no other. My wife and I got married June 23rd 2018. Chris did an amazing job! He got a lot of awesome shots of my wife and I but what I really liked was he shot a lot of everyone just having a good time and enjoying the day which I loved. My father in law passed away about a month before the wedding and we had a picture of him on a chair and Chris really made it a point to get some really good shots of that picture. That's not what we asked for but he just knew that it meant a lot to us that he couldn't be there in person and now we have those pictures that last a lifetime and its something we can really look back on and cherish. Chris is the best and I would highly recommend him for any event!

We got married on December 31st, 2017 at the Exeter River in Exeter, NH. Absolutely loved having the opportunity to work with Chris and feel very lucky that he was available to shoot our winter wedding!

Christopher Blair lived most of his life in Oregon before moving to New England in 2014. His first career was in journalism. He won numerous awards and was named the Society of Professional Journalists’ Rookie of the Year in 1994. Chris learned photography from some of the Pacific Northwest's finest news photographers. He began an education career in 1997, and used photography as a way to teach astronomy to at-risk youth. Chris became a professional photographer in 2015.
