Abby and the team at Blakemore’s are incredible! We gave Abby a vague description of what we were going for and let her run with the idea. The results couldn’t have been more perfect and she completely nailed our style. She mixed everything together so perfectly to achieve such a beautiful look that I’ve never seen before. Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without these special details!

our color scheme, a few favorite flowers, and told her to go wild with it. And the result was breathtaking, almost everyone at our wedding said something about the florals. I work at a wedding magazine, so I knew the impact flowers/greenery can have on a space and Abby made all my dreams come true. My bouquet was exactly what I wanted, bright and unique, I had an artichoke in it, after all. Blakemore's also did the decor for my ceremony and reception and, big surprise, it was incredible! We're so happy we hired Blakemore's for our wedding and we can't imagine our big day without them. Thank you, Abby and team! We wish we could get married again so we can use you all!

Our entire experience working with Abby was incredible! From the first time we met her we were in love! She has an amazing way of capturing your dream and making it a reality! She came up with a design I could not have even thought of and it was absolutely perfect!

I am still in shock and awe at how amazing the floral arrangements and bouquets looked at my wedding. Abby exceeded every expectation I had; I could not have been happier with how everything turned out. I began working with Abby and immediately she felt like a friend and not a vendor. My bridesmaids were all wearing different color dresses so I was really unsure of what colors the flowers should be - but I knew I wanted a lot of greenery and texture. Abby suggested a few different types of flowers plants to get a feel for my aesthetic, and once we were on the same page I pretty much trusted her to design everything as she saw fit. I also have to shout out to Abby's assistant, Jenn - she was super responsive to my emails and made sure Abby and I were in touch leading up to the big day. Abby created centerpieces, bouquets for the bridal party, boutonnieres for the groom's party and a flower crown for my flower girl. The biggest piece we asked Abby to design was some decoration for a hexagonal shaped arch my husband built. I cannot overstate how absolutely amazing everything looked. It fit in perfectly with our boho theme; even my husband commented on how pretty the arrangements were. I am so impressed at how unique everything looked and was so proud to carry my bouquet down the aisle.

We were interested in doing our own floral design but needed help with choosing the correct flowers and greenery for the look we wanted within budge. Abby at Blakemore's helped me to realize what was needed to accomplish our vision as well as the amounts necessary. We arranged all the florals with the help of family and friends, and we came out with a totally professional looking result. We never could have afforded the designs without the help from Abby! She was so incredibly helpful, and her eye for design and floral knowledge is unmatched. Blakemore's also provides full service floral design which I have also witnessed and is wonderful as well. We highly recommend for all floral needs!

I cannot speak more highly of the quality and artistry of Blakemore's - Abby and her team went above and beyond to make our wedding more than I could of ever dreamed. Abby was so easy to work with, even if I wasn't sure about how to explain a flower or specific look. She was able to take these ideas and craft some amazing concepts and examples. Prior to the actual creation of the arrangements and bouquets she drew a design based upon the concepts we had discussed and made any changes/tweaks until my vision was brought to life. For my florals I really wanted unique and truly nontraditional items that flowed with our themes, and Abby delivered! She was beyond enthusiastic and created exaclty the kinds of designs I had envisioned on time and within budget. One of the 'unique' items were wearable florals for my bridesmaids instead of the traditional bouquets. Abby made me feel so comfortable with the look I was envisioning, all of the pieces feel into place and helped to create the most special day in our lives. Joe and I cannot wait to work with Abby and her team again! Blakemore's florals are pure art y'all!! xo Britt & Joe

I visited Blakemore's flowers back in January (3 months ago) and talked to some very sweet ladies. I told them about my wedding in August, and they told me they would send me a PDF that I could fill out with all of the necessary information pertaining to my wedding. I ended up emailing it to them, had a conversation back and forth about how they would get back to me with a quote for all the flowers I needed. I really didn't need too much; just a bouquet, flower crown, and some corsages. However, two weeks went by after I sent the completed PDF over, and I emailed them twice asking if they would get back to me, and I got no response. I called about a month later, and one of the workers said they will get back to me as soon as the florist came into work. Needless to say, it has been another month since that phone call. I am sure they have great service for higher-paying customers, but they did not even bother to tell me that they did not want to go through with my order based on the size (this is what I am assuming). I am extremely disappointed, because I was really looking forward to working with them.

Abby is a flower wizard. She did such an amazing job creating, designing and setting up all of the flower and greenery arrangements at our wedding, I am still in awe of it all. She created exactly what I was envisioning and went above and beyond my expectations. She also stuck around until well after my ceremony to help transition pieces from the ceremony field to the lodge where our reception took place. During our consultation, I had a hard time trying to explain the look I was trying to achieve but she understood me right away and took suggestions from pinterest photos I had pinned and her prior experiences and workshops and helped me make my vision clear. Prior to meeting with her, I had no idea what to do with my centerpieces or favors, but she helped me not only decide on both but it worked out that we ended up saving money with what we did and we were able to double part of the centerpieces as favors, which were a big hit. She also worked with my budget and was on point with what I was willing to pay. Her shop is located in Harrisonburg but she traveled to Charlottesville for our wedding. I would highly recommend her! Especially if you want someone who is able to achieve the latest and greatest wedding looks.

Blakemore's provided all the flowers for our wedding this September, and I could not have been more thrilled with their service and our experience. The bouquets and arrangements they made were simply stunning- elegant, but simple and so unique. They went above and beyond to provide us excellent service, meeting with us on multiple occasions to discuss our plans and adding personal touches to many of their designs.

I got so many compliments on my flowers from Blakemore's at my wedding! They bouquets and centerpieces turned out even more beautiful than I imagined, and they were really open and receptive to my ideas! Communication was difficult, though I'm not sure from whose end. There were a few times my emails went unanswered but in the end they really did a lot to help bring my vision to life. I highly recommend them!

We worked with Abby for flowers for our wedding (9/13/14). She was amazing from start to finish. I told her what my budget was brought in some colors that I wanted to work with and I have to say the flowers turned out even better than I could have imagined. She was always available for any questions, did a trial run before the wedding and always took into account any comments I had for her. I have to say the flowers (along with my dress) were my favorite parts of the entire day. Abby is a pleasure to work with and I would gladly work with her again in the future or recommend her to anyone looking in the Harrisonburg Area

Abby helped me choose flowers that were within my budget. She also arrived at my reception venue to arrange all of my centerpieces and make my bouquets. Excellent customer service and exactly what I wanted!!! The flowers were beautiful! Thanks!!

Jade provided me with the most amazing display of flowers. I wanted to incorporate sunflowers in an orange and red fall arrangement, and she came up the most beautiful way to display them. She was so easy to work with.

I absolutely loved the bouquets from Blakemore's Flowers. I brought in pictures of what I wanted my bouquets to look like and they made ours to fit our budget. When I saw them on our wedding day they weren't quite what I had in mind but they were lovely anyway. They forgot to make one of our boutonnieres for a groomsman but we were able to catch them and get another easily. They did seem to be trying to work on too many orders at one time and it took them a long time to send us an estimate of the cost and to get the contract together. But overall we loved the flowers.
