in! Let's be honest - planning a wedding is freaking stressful. I've planned many different events including huge corporate-related events and nothing beats the planning of your own "once in a lifetime" event. With that said, I just KNEW I had to partner with a planner that not only knew what they were doing but was also kind of OCD-organized like me. I'll tell you, my friends, after vetting 8 different planners, Korie came in the strongest for the following: 1. BUDGET 2. experience 3. approachiveness. Out of the 8 planners, Korie was THE ONLY ONE who was able to visually share with me Google Excel templates and examples of how she would plan, keep track of, and explain in detail how she would keep us aligned throughout our wedding planning timeline. The other vendors, needless to say, only shared with me verbally "Oh yeah, we track things through Google Docs and Excel..." but had nothing to show me which only told me one thing - they had something to hide! Not Korie or Bliss Events. Transparency was the constant thing that was exemplified throughout our planning experience which allowed us to stay on top of it the entire way through, and all with a smile on my face. Suffice it to say I did NOT experience any bride meltdowns during my conversations with Korie. From the start of the planning almost 14 months before the wedding, Korie was already setting up time to meet with me and begin those strategy conversations. Most "partial planners" would wait until the final 3 months to help you plan, but not Korie! Her goal was to have you pretty much ready to go 3 months before the wedding. That frame of mind is what reassured me that I was in the right hands. The month leading up to the wedding, Korie took it up a full notch by taking on the reigns and working directly with each of our vendors to ensure everyone understood their arrival and set up times as well as break down times. She also ensured that our transportation vendor arrived at the hotel to pick up our guests and drop them off at our ceremony location right on time! There were no shuttles or guests for that matter who took the shuttles who were late to our ceremony! On the day before the wedding, Korie partnered with our ceremony location day-of planner to coordinate the ceremony in a very organized manner. We were able to get through everything within the 1 hour allotted timeframe as well! Our entire wedding party complimented how well-organized and lovely Korie was. On the day of the wedding, Korie went full send on wedding planning. Ensuring every single vendor arrived on time to set up and take care of us, even down to our hair stylist/MUA vendor. She also arrived early at our reception venue to drop off the items we brought down for the wedding and she and her team along with our vendors started setting up the venue accordingly. She also oversaw the other vendors, ensuring things were getting done and double-checking to make sure that the table decor was being set up properly. During the ceremony, she came in clutch as a backup photographer since we only were able to hire 1 photographer within our budget, and captured amazing photos of me before, during, and after walking down the aisle. During our reception, she continued to keep everyone organized by ensuring cocktail hour and reception needs were being met, including, coordinating my husband and I with taking photos at each table within a reasonable timeframe that also allowed for the both of us to eat and finish our dinner! Suffice it to say, our entire wedding timeline was met accordingly, all thanks to Korie. We cannot thank Korie enough for all the hard work she has done to help us bring our wedding vision to life, while still having fun. In the months before Rachel officially took over, she assisted in the communications with our venue’s representatives, provided us with invaluable vendor recommendations, attended our menu tasting to ensure all selections and questions were addressed and brought to our venue’s chef, and was able to answer any pressing questions we happened to have. was skeptical at first to have a wedding planner but it was required by the hotel and we had ambition plans for the event with little planning time. Throughout the process, Korie kept us on track, had great vendor referrals, and is overall an extremely organized and alpha personality--which is what we needed. There were times we disagreed but Korie is a master at disagreeing without being disagreeable. In addition, whenever there was a problem, she found a solution. The day of the event went off flawlessly. The run up to the event was actually low stress unlike many horror stories you hear about weddings. I had the pleasure of working with her last Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa for a beautiful small wedding with a Korean couple. Despite the ceremony being in Korean, which I didn't fully understand, Rachel orchestrated everything seamlessly and beautifully. She was incredibly thoughtful, ensuring the couple had ample opportunities for stunning wedding photos without missing any part of their reunion, cocktail hour, or reception. Initially, the couple booked me for just 4 hours, thinking it would suffice. Rachel, however, reviewed their timeline and advised them that they needed 6 hours of coverage. Planning a wedding is hard enough, but doing it in a different state, in a different time zone is even tougher. Ashley made the entire planning process feel more organized and less stressful. I interviewed 5 wedding coordinators and knew immediately within the first few minutes; Rachel would be easy to work with and would offer advice/tips throughout the whole process even though I only requested the month of coordination package. She also provided advice for asking a friend to officiate for the very first time during the free consultation. She was very responsive throughout the entire process and has a very professional demeanor. The month of the wedding she was SO organized. We had a lengthy appointment to review the vendor contracts in detail, then she communicated the necessary changes to each vendor prior to the wedding, which ultimately ended up saving me some money! She would color code all her documents and timelines so I could keep track of changes easily. I did not have to communicate with any of my vendors the month of the wedding and could refer them to Rachel at any time. This alleviated A LOT of stress leading up to the wedding. The weekend of the wedding she was calm and collected which helped everyone including the wedding party, my family, and myself enjoy their time and soak in the experience. We were always ahead of schedule per the timeline she created so we could enjoy the day of wedding as much as possible. When I began working with Rachel, I had many of the vendors already booked, so I decided that having month-of coordination was best for me and it ended up being perfect. I still had a few vendors that I needed to book and Rachel shared her recommendations with me so quickly after we signed our contract. She has connections and amazing relationships with vendors which made for a fantastic and easy experience! Rachel is so organized and has helpful planning worksheets that she shared with us or met with us about that helped us address everything prior to the wedding day. Rachel took over all communication with vendors at the critical time, so that I could enjoy more of the month leading up to the event and she was able to coordinate everything on the day more easily given she had already communicated with the vendors.  I HIGHLY recommend Rachel and Bliss Events!!! Every vendor she recommended was fabulous- especially Sharon at Organic Elements, DJ Jimmy Grizzley, Raphael's Party Rental Lounge Furniture, Ritas Chiavari white aisle runner, and all of her wonderful assistants. I trusted Korie to make certain judgement calls about the wedding knowing that she is a pro at this, and I am so glad I did. She truly knows how to make the day run smoothly and she will make everything happen according to plan. My husband and I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day. Rachel’s expertise. She is one of the most organized people I’ve ever met which made for a seamless planning period and wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, Rachel asked so many good questions including many things we hadn’t even thought of. Her kindness and knowledge put our minds at ease. We knew our daughter’s big day was in good hands because Rachel is so reliable. Rachel was the best point-person on the day of the wedding. She was prepared with whatever we needed; band aids, Advil, scissors, hot glue gun, bobby pins and most importantly a reassuring attitude that made us confident that all the details were being handled. We followed a detailed wedding day timeline that Rachel prepared which helped us enjoy every moment of the wedding day – stress free!
