We honestly do not know where to begin. Our wedding was nothing less than BLISSful. There is so much that Darren and his team did for us leading up to our big day and we cannot thank them all enough! We hired Darren for full service and we are stoked that we did. It was evident among the vendors working with Darren and his team was awesome. Throughout the entire process Darren was patient and attentive. He communicated to us every concern and left no detail out. With much on his plate, he made us feel special and important as if we were his only clients. We wanted our family to experience something they’ve never experienced before and Bliss Maui did just that and much more. Our family even noticed how amazing they were. They captivated and imprinted in us, memories that will be cherished and talked about forever. Every journey begins with a single step and we are grateful that Darren was there to help us take it. Like the masterful pavers they were, Bliss Wedding made clear and beautiful a path for us to happily take. No scene or event could be more perfect than what they created. The Bliss team was a dream come true. We live in Australia and Shane and his team made it so easy to work with. We met Shane and Darren a few years prior when they planned our best friends wedding. We knew we had to have Bliss when we decided to get married in Maui! They truely are top notch and will make the wedding of your dreams!!

My husband is from Australia and we met there in 2013 when I was working in Sydney on a global deployment assignment with my firm for three years. We moved back to the states together in summer of 2016 and got engaged in January of 2017. Hawaii was a natural choice for us given it is half way between Australia and the states and I have always wanted a beach wedding. We quickly decided on the island of Maui and began researching wedding planners. We decided on Sugar Beach Events as the venue (which is amazing!) and spoke to the event coordinator there. We researched wedding planners more and Bliss quickly came up. From the moment I saw their gallery I was hooked.I loved their clean and simplistic style and grace. There was no looking back after our first call with Shane and Maria. I cannot say enough about these guys and the company they represent. Planning a wedding in Maui from Atlanta, GA has its complexities (conference calls, time differences, etc.) but we never felt concerned or nervous about ANYTHING when working with this team. Pinterest become very important and my vision for our day was shared via Pinterest posts. Shane and Maria got everything right. We had a Hindu/Christian fusion ceremony so worked through those details as well. The officiant, flowers (From Petals), DJ, event space, cake, food, absolutely everything was perfect! We want to do it again!!! I cannot recommend these guys enough - they presented us with the best vendors to chose from and our photos and everything are amazing! If you are getting married in Maui - they only way to do it is BLISS!!!

The Bliss team is beyond amazing!! Darren was absolutely fantastic and I cannot say enough good things about him and his team. Our photographer described Darren as a "wizard" with florals and she was exactly right!! His expertise and creativity are unmatched. I had a vision of what the day would look like, and Bliss exceeded my every hope and dream!

The Bliss staff seriously made our day blissful!!!!! We decided to have a private beach elopement at Ironwoods beach in West Maui. I'm very particular about my vision and every step of the way Shane and his staff made me feel at ease and they totally saw what I wanted! I've worked with planners in the past for other events and the comfort level the Bliss team made me feel by far surpasses anyone I have worked with. We planned our elopement via phone and email in less than 6 months. Every phone call and email I was treated like no question was too small and every idea and request there was a lovely choice of the absolute best vendors. My flowers by Maui Petals were breathtaking! I sent so many photos of what I wanted and Darren knew how to make it all come together better than I could have imagined! We planned our day from Massachusetts so I put a lot of trust into Shane and his staff and they went over and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect! When a power outage happened less than an hour before hair and makeup was to arrive at my hotel, Shane and his executive rockstar Maria seamlessly organized a plan B and it worked out well. I never sweat it because I knew Bliss would take care of me...That's the kind of people they are! It was an absolute joy to work with them! 5 stars is an understatement for the Bliss team!!!

I always imagined I would be stressed planning my wedding and especially on my wedding day. Darren made sure that this did not happen. My husband and I could not ask for a better experience. We began planning our wedding with Darren about a year out. He was willing to work with our budget and we could tell it was important to him to include elements that we valued to ensure we had a unique, special day. He would Skype and email with us and made us feel like a priority even months away from our wedding day. Even when unforeseeable changes occurred, Darren remained calm and handled everything for us. On our day, I had nothing to worry about. It was the most perfect day for my husband and me. The decor was flawless and definitely Pinterest worthy! Also, when I mentioned the Bliss Boys during our stay on the island, everyone had nothing but good things to say. Darren and his team have definitely earned their prestigious reputation. We are forever grateful!

The staff at Bliss Events are absolutely the best. Darren took our vision and made it happen within our budget. He went above and beyond to help us plan the important details of our hindu/american ceremony and reception. His floral design was better than we could have imagined. We are still getting complements on our November wedding from friends and family. Their phenomenal service allowed us to have a worry free day and we truly enjoyed every minute. When I first started researching wedding planners on Maui and came across their website, I immediately knew that I wanted Bliss to do our wedding. I gave them a call, talked to Darren, and the rest fell into place smoothly. We had a long engagement so we had like 15 months to plan. We emailed each other a lot. We even skyped a couple times which was great. Luckily we had a chance to go to Maui 8 months prior to the wedding and meet them. Darren organized meet and greets with various vendors and arranged tastings which really helped to solidify our choices. It also helped us get to know each other better so that Darren could get a sense of what we wanted. And he delivered. Even with a major snafu occurring that was out of anyone's control 4 days before the wedding that resulted in us having to move the entire event to another location went smoothly. Darren was calm and collected through all the changes. And the day of I didn't have to worry about anything except enjoying the day. Darren and Shane took care of every detail and the flowers and décor were gorgeous. Our guests had a blessed and magical time. It was simply perfect. It was everything I wanted our wedding to be and more. I wouldn't change a single thing. Reliving moments from the day still brings tears to my eye. It was the best wedding I've ever been to, that's for sure. I may be biased...but it's true. Thank you Bliss for what I can honestly say was the Best. Day. Ever.

I told Shane and Darren that our wedding day was the best day of my life. I was so glad that I worked with Shane for my wedding at Kukahiko and it was a pleasure to work with not only Shane, but also the entire team. Planning a destination was not easy, but Shane made the entire process less stressful. Kukahiko estate was a beautiful place. Lots of my wedding guests told me that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they've been to. One thing to mention is that at rehearsal I realized I needed high heel protectors to prevent heels sinking into grass, however I couldn't find out where to buy them. After calling a few drugstores still no luck so I gave up. Of course Shane came to my rescue. On the wedding day Shane showed up with a bag of high heel protectors - he had his assistant got them for me. I couldn't be more thankful for his help and without him my day won't be that perfect. We were so excited after the wedding and we forgot to take the wedding cake with us. Darren even dropped it off at our hotel the day after the wedding...I enjoyed working with team Bliss so much and I recommend them to anyone who's interested in having a destination wedding on Maui. Shane and the Bliss team were such a pleasure to coordinate with. They were helpful in planning the specifics of the wedding and very accommodating to schedule sessions to speak on Skype. As living in a foreign country and with Shane at a disadvantage being 19 hours difference from us, he never seemed overwhelmed or incapable of meeting our requests. From the flowers to the cake, each aspect of the day was handled professionally and with great care. Shane’s positive attitude, helpfulness and sincere personality put us at ease and made us feel that he truly cared about our wedding and making it the best it could be. In finding out what specifics we were interested for the wedding colors, to the minutiae of recommending a place to iron our wedding garments, to waking up early and picking up our mothers for make-up, Shane made us feel as though we were always the only wedding on his mind and the most important client he had. Shane Canada and the Bliss Team were fantastic to say the least. We had a last minute wedding (started planning 3 or 4 months prior to the actual wedding), but after having an initial consult with Shane, his enthusiasm, passion for weddings and energy made us feel at right home with him, and he reassured us that we would be able to have the wedding that we dreamed of. Once we locked down the date/time for the wedding, we started the planning process. With only a few months to plan, we knew it would be busy and tight from both sides (given that it was the beginning of wedding season). We were in contact with Shane weekly (usually through email, text and some phone calls) and he took us through the planning process step by step with securing the officiant, photographers, caterers, then the final design, etc. We set up a pinterest board and were able to coordinate and share a lot of the details of the wedding through that board. Being a destination wedding, and not having a chance to meet Shane and his team prior to the wedding and only seeing the Kukahiko Estate online, we were a bit nervous over how the wedding would turn out. But having the pinterest board provided for an easy way to convey the theme we were looking for. When the wedding day arrived, it was the first time saw the wedding venue and design, and Shane and his team absolutely nailed it. Shane had captured exactly what we wanted and the Kukahiko Estate was perfect. Our biggest fear with the venue was that we did not want a space so big that it would swallow up the wedding. We had about 25 guests, and with how everything was setup and laid out, the space and size was perfect. The ceremony and reception were all done on the lawn and it wasn’t too crowded or too large. They also just installed air conditioning in the bridal suite, so getting ready was comfortable as well. Shane and his team did a great job capturing our vision for the wedding and working with him and his team was seamless and easy.

Darren and the Bliss team surpassed all of my expectations for my wedding! Darren was so accommodating and quick to respond to e-mails. He set me up with the best catering and hair and makeup I could have asked for. I didn't have to stress or worry about a thing! The wedding and whole experience was so perfect and dreamy!

We cannot say enough great things about Darren and the Bliss Team. Our wedding was beyond perfect and each and every detail that they had a hand in was beyond anything we could have ever expected. The vendors that they work with are top-notch and everyone that they enlisted to play a part in our wedding exceeded all expectations. The level of professionalism left me feeling at ease throughout the entire planning process and when the day came, I enjoyed every minute of "our day" without having to worry about anything. Things went flawlessly and I couldn't have imagined a more perfect, stress free, BEAUTIFUL event! Each detail, from start to finish, was personal to us and was exactly what I asked for. I worked with Darren at Bliss and he was wonderful! I always wanted to get married in Hawaii and originally planned for a beach wedding, but once I seen all the beaches were public, I started to look into venues. I got married at the Kukahiko Estate and myself and my guests loved it! It was so nice to have privacy, get ready together, and have the intimacy you would want on your wedding day. Darren listened and worked very well with me and exceeded all my expectations. You will not regret hiring Bliss.

I worked with Shane to coordinate our wedding at Ka Hale Olinda in upcountry Maui. Neither my fiancé or myself had ever visited Maui before, and we also decided to get married less than 3 months from getting engaged so we definitely needed help! Shane was fantastic, super responsive to emails, and helped us plan a gorgeous , intimate wedding. Even though we had a relatively small wedding and Bliss probably had bigger events to plan, we received top-notch service the whole way through the experience. An awesome experience - highly recommend!

The Bliss Team helped to make my wedding day a dreamy reality! Darren, Shane and their entire staff went above and beyond when it came to listening to our ideas, planning everything out, connecting us with our vendors, smoothing out any bumps or stresses along the way, making suggestions, being flexible and making sure our wedding day flowed beautifully. Bliss Wedding Design was an incredible team of talented, genuine, and wonderful people who created a wedding of our dreams. (Special thank you to Shane and Darren) When we pictured and imagined our special day and Bliss Wedding Design made it a reality with every detail...from the colors, the setting, the view, lighting. If we had the opportunity to re-do, we would do it exactly the same way.

My husband and I were married at the Kukahiko Estate on 25th September 2015. We had a couple only wedding and it was all arranged by the fabulous Shane Canada at Bliss Wedding Design. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Bliss. Shane was instrumental in arranging our day, and such a pleasure to work with. His amazing personality and professionalism is a credit to him. We only contacted Bliss the first week in August 2015 to see if they had availability to accommodate our wedding in September. Shane did such a great job turning it around for us in such a short space of time. We live in Scotland, UK and so all communication was done through e-mail. Shane was quick to answer all my mails and I always felt completely re-assured that everything was coming together nicely. All of the vendors we had were amazing and we couldn’t have had a nicer day even if we’d had 2 years to plan it. Darren from Bliss made by bridal bouquet and it was truly stunning, I couldn’t have wished for anything more, it really exceeded any expectations I had. Fran from the Bliss team was also fantastic in getting me ready. As it was just myself and my husband I had no friends or family to help me with my dress and she was there to lace me in and made me feel so comfortable, what a beautiful lady. If you are looking for a planning service then look no further, please do not hesitate, Bliss are truly top class. Also if you still haven’t set your heart on a venue then please consider the Kukahiko Estate, absolutely breathtaking location.

Bliss Weddings absolutely exceeded my expectations! From the first time I spoke to Shane the processed flowed. It was so obvious they put their hearts into what they do. From the artistry with the flowers, the arch and the food, everything was perfection. I gave Shane a Pinterest board with my ideas and he and his team made them a reality. I am beyond grateful. They made our wedding so magical!

June 7th, 2015 Wedding Darren, Shane and the team at Bliss Weddings. Where do I begin? We had this insane idea to plan our wedding all the way from the East Coast. As with previous reviews, we had a hard time finding someone who understood what we wanted of our wedding and also kept up with our demanding work schedules. We managed to get everything down to the day of and the team was able to wing a monsoon on our wedding day with the grace and practicality of seasoned event planners. We did not do a package deal with them but they gave us a flat fee and went above and beyond with everything from the flowers, arrangements and random extras just for our wedding. They loved our customizations or at least let us run wild with what we wanted. We cannot thank you enough. Our friends and family had a blast as well. The wedding despite the weather or maybe in spite of it was absolutely perfect. They come with our highest recommendations.

Darren gave us a wedding that surpassed our dreams! We gave him ideas and he ran with it; with so much enthusiasm and excitement that it resulted in exceeding our expectations 10 fold!!! Everything from the venue, incredible floral arrangements he designed (WOW), music, catering, and cake (we wish we had room to take it home on the plane with us!!!) We had previously booked with another venue whom we were continually told over and over again, “its not part of "your package", and were nickeled and dimmed at every decision telling us “thats extra”, and then made us do all the footwork. They cancelled our contract on Valentines Day, and that’s when we met Darren and the team from Bliss. Within a week we had more planned with Darren, then we had with the previous venue over a period of 4 months!!! Darren never said “NO”, only “I love it”, or “We can make that happen”, or “That gives me some great ideas” It was so stress free that we went snorkeling the day of the wedding instead of rushing around or worrying about things getting done, infact the months leading up to the wedding were totally stress free knowing he had it under control. When we showed up at the venue, everything we had hoped and dreamed of for our “Big Day” was exceeded in every aspect!!! Because of their passion for what they do, Darren and everyone at Bliss took our ideas and made them into something even better and more wonderful than we ever expected!!! All the Vendors Darren selected are top notch, from the caterer (who was a finalist on Top Chef) to the bakery for the cake, and musician, everything couldn’t have been any better!!! Darren and Shane from Bliss were wonderful. We hired them as our Day of Coordinators and therefore had planned the wedding ourselves. Darren was our main contact and was absolutely instrumental in helping us plan our wedding. He was always there to help me with questions I might have, vendor suggestions and to confirm I was on the right track. Darren has such an amazing personality and always made us feel comfortable. The wedding day itself was perfect. Darren and I had discussed the details on decor, timing, etc. before hand. Darren and Shane made sure the decor was perfectly place, the timing was going as planned and that everyone was having a great time. Darren even helped pull off a surprise from my parents to have Hula Dancers perform during dinner. We had no idea. It was absolutely perfect. I have no doubt that with Darren and Shane there, it wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it did. Our wedding day was amazing and they had a big hand in making it that way. :)

Amazing experience... Nick and I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Bliss and the amazing Darren & Shane. They are the most organized, friendly, hard working and personable team we could have hoped for. Our wedding went without a hitch and was perfection beyond what we could have ever imagined. Darren let me be a huge part of the planning process and had many excellent recommendations for the best services such as makeup, hair, catering, bar, photography, suits rentals and more! He also helped me choose flowers within my very tight flower budget and did all the arranging/assembling himself. Stunning! He was quick to respond to my many many emails as I worked with him to plan our destination wedding from a different country. Can't say enough good things!!!

My husband and I thought (hilariously) that it would be easy to plan a wedding in Maui from California without ever meeting or scouting any of our vendors or locations. Boy, we were in for a big kick in the pants. Thankfully, the universe provided us with two angels known as Darren and Shane aka Bliss Wedding Design & Spectacular. Not only were the two of them BEYOND knowledgeable about fantastic vendors for us to work with, but they also completely respected and stayed within our budget. We always felt like we were being taken care of with Darren and Shane. They responded back in a timely manner to all of our crazy emails and phone calls. If they didn’t know an answer to a question we had posed, they went out of their way to help us find one. From helping us find a great vet to guide us through getting our pup to Maui to auditioning lion dancers for us, they always went the extra mile. Darren and Shane are some of the most down to earth and hard working human beings we have ever met. They genuinely care about their couples and only want to make people’s dreams come true. If I could go back in time and give myself one piece of information when we were just starting to plan our wedding, I would say, “go hire Bliss Wedding Design ASAP. Stop messing around on the internet, looking at reviews, and second guessing yourself at every step. Hire Darren and Shane right now.”

I worked with Shane and Darren for my brunch wedding in October 2014 at Kukahiko Estate. They took my vision and ran with it. Everything ended up better than I could have imagined. It was wonderful working with people that obviously love what they do. Shane was able to make great recommendations for all of the other vendors I needed as well. I was thrilled with the people who did my hair and makeup, catered my brunch, provided music, took photos and married us. Everyone in attendance commented on how wonderful everything was and how amazing the venue was! I truly can't recommend Bliss Weddings and Spectacular Events enough!

I had my wedding at the Kukahiko Estate back in April of 2014. Being that I live all the way in Minnesota I was very hesitant and worried when I began my journey to choose a wedding planner. I have to admit that I spent a good 2 weeks solid searching online for different vendors and planners (don't tell my work that most of it was during the day haha!). I had originally reached out to Bliss where I immediately got a great vibe from, however I then did my due diligence to speak with other planners to make a more educated decision. I found someone who was slightly cheaper, however the quality of the service was definitely sub par. I then ended up going back to Bliss and I can honestly tell you that it was the best decision I ever made, besides marrying my husband of course :). I must admit I'm a bit of a cheapskate so paying for a planner when I tend to like to do things myself was a bit hard for me, however it was truly worth it since Darren and Shane were able to help me find not only cost friendly vendors but they were also absolutely amazing!!! I had found quite a few vendors I liked online, however once they provided me with their suggestions the quality and professionalism of the vendors simply blew me away and I went with exactly what Darren and Shane suggested. I'm always worried about being scammed and taken advantage of and I am so relieved that I was lucky enough to have Bliss plan my wedding since I walked away from my wedding without regret. It was an absolute fairy tale. The attentiveness of Darren and Shane was unreal. Even after everything was planned out and set into place they still reached out to me just to check on me, even sometimes just to check to see how my stress level was! I must admit too there was a few occasions I vented a bit about how certain guests were getting on my nerves with some of our wedding travel plans and Darren was there to listen – didn’t even charge me a psychiatric counseling fee either! Haha! I really could go on and on about what a great experience I had with Bliss weddings, it was simply unreal. Another thing to add was on my actual wedding day there were some times where I wasn’t quite sure what to do next, and literally all it took was a look to Darren or Shane and they knew to come over to me immediately to help. They guided me and my guests through everything during the wedding and being able to not be stressed during my wedding day is something I hear most brides dream about. Not only did they have the utmost professionalism, but they were funny and a joy to be around!! I truly love these two, the moment I met them in person it was like we were old friends that have known each other forever. Trust me ladies, when you plan your wedding you will want to be as carefree as possible and Bliss is definitely the place that will do this for you. I can honestly say I am so blessed that years from now when I look back on my wedding day I will be able to say that it was perfect and that my FRIENDS Darren and Shane made it happen. I've never planned a big event before let alone a destination event, so I knew I needed planners that were local to the venue. Bliss came highly recommended from a friend's friend. I did my research and compared based on reviews, photographs, and conversations and knew that Darren was it. The one statement that got me was he told me not too worry too much about budget, just let him know what I want and we'll make it work. And he did make it work. For instance, I didn't budget that much on floral design so I gave him a $ number that's lower than what is typically quoated, and the day of, the flowers looked phenomenal. I was very focused on the budget and expenses (even if Darren did say to stop worrying about it) but I'm very particular with statements. Darren was patient and walked me through each one to confirm everything was accounted for. I also relied heavily on him on vendor recommendations, and the vendors that he suggested, and I used, had outstanding service. I was nervous to entrust so much on someone I have not met, but on my wedding day, it just came together so perfectly.

Darren and Shane fell from the sky to make our dream of having a wedding in Maui a reality. A year prior to our wedding my husband and I went to Maui on a half vacation half scouting trip to explore the possibility of having a destination wedding in Maui. Long story short we had given up all hope about a Maui wedding when a woman told us about the Kukahiko Estate, she immediately provided us with Darren’s number and information. We got in touch with Darren at the last minute and we set up an appointment to meet him later that afternoon to view the estate. When we got there, we immediately knew that was it! Not only was the venue breathtaking, we immediately felt super comfortable with Darren as his interests have always been about helping us bringing to life the wedding we envisioned and it was never about selling us on unnecessary costs. We left the venue that afternoon and left Darren a security deposit check. It was that immediate comfort we felt with Darren we knew we made the best choice and that we were in good hands. We came back to Los Angeles feeling super excited and happy that our dream was one step closer to being a reality. We worked with Darren throughout the year via, phone calls, text messages, emails and Pinterest and it was the easiest process on earth. Darren and Shane are very easygoing and caring people that treat their business with the utmost professionalism. They have always been accessible and responsive to any questions and concerns we had throughout the entire planning process. They were always flexible and always provided us with ideas on ways to save money, they facilitated and referred us to professional vendors that were easy to work with and met our needs. My husband and I feel truly blessed to have found Darren and Shane. We will continue to keep in touch with them when we go back to Maui. We love them!

Shane & Darren and the Bliss Wedding Design and Spectacular Events Staff are truly spectacular!!! From the first few minutes of our initial call with Shane, we knew immediately that we wanted them to coordinate our destination wedding. From the start Shane took away the stressful feeling of planning the perfect event for 70 guests, and made us feel at ease throughout the entire process! Shane and Darren were on top of everything from the beginning and provided us updates along the way. Our event was better than we could have ever imagined, and it went off perfectly without any issue or worry whatsoever. The flowers that Darren put together were so beautiful, everyone complimented on them! These guys go above and beyond expectations, and really put their hearts into their work. They are passionate about what they do, and it shows. This team is truly amazing, and if anyone is considering them for planning their event, we highly recommend them!

Planning a wedding accross an ocean has stress written all over it, but with every quick response to all my random questions I soon realized there would be no stress at all! The day was perfect, the location was beautiful, and I was happy to have them be part of our day. If you're planning a Maui wedding, in my opinion this is the only company to go with. Love and gratitude is all I have for them.

We had an amazing experience using Bliss Wedding Design & Spectacular Events for our wedding. Shane & Darren truly lived up to their company name & created a spectacular event for us. I was nervous about planning a destination wedding from the West Coast, but Shane completely took away any hesitation that I might have had, with our very first phone conversation. As my contact person at Bliss, Shane instantly made me feel like I was a long lost friend. He continued to calm, listen & plan with me over the proceeding months. When our wedding day arrived, Shane & Darren completely embraced me, my fiance, wedding party & guests, while taking great care with anything that we needed. We had our wedding event at the Kukahiko Estate & it was magical. Darren designed our flower arrangement & bouquets. All were were thoughtful, beautiful...above & beyond what I was expecting. We were blown away when we saw the final product of the wedding venue, & what the boys of Bliss had created for us based on only long distance phone calls & emails. They went above and beyond with every single detail of the day, & I truly felt like Shane & Darren had read my mind over months of conversation & had created the most magnificent event that we could have ever wanted. Our wedding day was truly one of the best days of our lives & we owe it all to Bliss! Shane & Darren have an extensive knowledge of all things related to weddings in Maui. They also have an impressive, network of wonderful vendors to choose from. Most importantly, they work very well together, and they work really hard for their couples. Man..this is hard... how can I put into words how flawless an experience it was working with BLISS. Seriously if you need a wedding planner on Maui...please stop reading this and pick up the phone and just call and talk to Shane! Your life will be forever changed for the better!! (not even exaggerating!!) Shane and Darren as a team are truly remarkable. They can help make your vision a reality (as cheesy as that sounds!!)...they handle all the details and let you just ramble on and on about everything you think your wedding should be...and they listen...and make it happen! Super friendly and super professional! If you want to call them 12 times a day, cause you like to change your mind...you can...if you think you should have taco bell at your wedding...they will find a way to make it classy....if you have no idea what you want...they can help you with that too! Again...they are amazing...But I think i said that already!!! If your looking to have a beautiful wedding on maui...that is not your standard cheesy "hawaiian" wedding, BLISS will blow you away! (however they probably do "cheesy hawaii" good too!!)

The 'bliss boys' truly are amazing! They were the reason my wedding was as spectacular as it was. Every worry I might have had, from our rather difficult food allergies to every small detail of both the ceremony and reception were handled beautifully. Without them I would have been a total wreck trying to plan a wedding from 5,000 miles away, (literally, We live in Ohio!) but Shane and Darren took care of every bump in our road. And it wasn't an easy road at that! Their talent and keen eye for the perfect ambiance is unmatched by anyone I have met in the business! If you are having your wedding in Hawaii you NEED these guys in your corner! Not to mention, they are SO much fun to be around and can and will lighten ANY mood. They make me smile and I just can't say enough about them!

Planning a destination wedding was a scary thing for me considering we had only been to Maui once, didn't know anyone locally who could recommend vendors, and had no idea how to plan a wedding. We had interviewed multiple coordinators in Maui and on the mainland but after speaking with Darren, I knew Bliss was the perfect choice. Darren & Shane recommend a very small number of vendors on the island who have proven to be reliable, creative, professional, and fun to work with. I can honestly say that we loved every single vendor that we hired for the wedding and that's PRICELESS. They were very supportive and collaborated well with the professionals we brought over from the mainland, too. Darren & Shane encouraged us to create a Pinterest board and share examples of the colors and styles we liked so they could start putting together design ideas. The flowers and tablescapes they created were gorgeous! They even surprised us by painting the starfish on the tables blue to match the Seahawks table numbers and added white lanterns to the outdoor tables because I had mentioned in passing one time that I loved lanterns. Sadly, there were supposed to be TWO hurricanes hitting Maui on our wedding day, so needless to say, we were a little stressed out in the days leading up to our wedding. Darren & Shane visited us at our condo with backup plans, reassurance and a level of confidence that calmed our nerves and reaffirmed our belief that everything would be ok (and it was). When my hair and makeup artist told us two days before the wedding that she might not make it to Maui due to the hurricanes, Darren & Shane worked quickly to find a trustworthy backup. They worked with Sugar Beach Events Hawaii to move the ceremony indoors, secured safe transportation for our guests, and then just a few hours before the ceremony was going to start, they learned the hurricanes weren't going to hit, and proactively moved the ceremony back outside so we could enjoy the crashing waves and gorgeous scenery as originally planned. One of the greatest things in the world (and why it's critical to have a coordinator) is not having to worry about details on one of the biggest events of your life. Darren & Shane were constantly reassuring us, checking in with us and doing anything and everything we needed in order to make the day spectacular. They are experienced, knowledgable, creative, patient and fun to work with. Darren & Shane are good people and we feel like we've made lifelong friends. What can I say Darren and Shane made my wedding day the perfect day ever! My first wedding planner fired me two months before my wedding. she said I wasn't "organized enough". But really it all came down to I wouldn't give her how much my budget was $$$. I didn't know how much I wanted to spend. I just knew what I wanted.... good music, good food, open bar and a hell of a good time (and to look and feel beautiful)!! I asked around and I was told the best was Bliss. I called them up. Both of them came over to my house with their superhero capes on and save the day. It was the first time someone asked me the question....what do you want; not how much do you want to spend. They listened and together my dream wedding became a reality. I kid you not when I say I had the best day ever!!! My wedding was even more then I dreamed of. Shane and Darren went above and beyond the call of duty of any wedding planners. I cannot thank them enough for the memories that they created in my life forever. We hired Darren Keala and his company Ku O Lani Floral Designs as our florist- WOW!! Darren is the kindest, most creative and talented person I have ever worked with! He is incredibly artistic, helpful and worth every penny. He went above and beyond our expectations- I can't say enough nice things about him. I would hire him as a wedding planner in a heartbeat. We had already booked our wedding planner when I found Darren also owns Bliss Wedding Design, or I would definitely have hired him for wedding planning. I saw he just created a private wedding luau option-it looks awesome! I wish he had this option available when we got married. It includes everything- guest transportation, flowers, cocktails, dinner, photography, entertainment etc etc, so as close to an all-inclusive option in Hawaii as you will get! Check it out if you are interested in a private wedding luau- ceremony and reception at a private oceanfront estate (where we got married!)- looks incredible, and really reasonably priced for Maui. Darren is the best of the best on Maui- you will not be disappointed!!
