We chose Blue Elephant Catering for our wedding and couldn't be happier. The food was absolutely delicious and we received so many compliments from our guests as well....several saying it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Fausto and his staff were unbelievable. As the bride and groom we had the friendliest lady taking such good, attentive care of only us. We had a plated meal and all 100+ guests were served nearly at the same time. The food was cooked perfectly. Late night tater tots were passed around to the crowd and were a huge hit! A no brainer - book them now!!! My wife and I used Blue Elephant for our Sept 2021 wedding - as our day of coordinator and caterer. Fausto and Jessica were phenomenal to work with from Day 1. Through my many questions, changes, strong opinions, etc., they were always a step ahead and extremely communicative on all fronts. A "day of coordinator" does not feel like an appropriate way to describe the many ways they helped me leading up to and on our wedding day. Fausto kept me in the loop on any and all COVID updates as we were from out of state. We had a rental furniture crisis the day before, and they stopped everything they were doing to help us resolve in just a few hours. They remained flexible when rain through off our day of schedule. And they smiled big at all the special moments we had throughout the day, all while serving fresh, hot, delicious food to our ~120 guests. Everyone involved with set up for our wedding knew who Fausto was, and that he was who you needed to get stuff done. Blue Elephant is absolutely phenomenal! My husband and I cannot thank Blue Elephant enough for making our wedding so incredibly special ❤️ During the planning process, Fausto was extremely communicative, helpful, and supportive in our conversations. He gave a number of suggestions, which we used to make our wedding as beautiful as we could have ever imagined. On the wedding day, Fausto and his team made my husband and I feel incredibly special. They consistently checked in with us to make sure we were feeling comfortable and happy. Before walking down the aisle, a lovely team member helped me with scrubbing out dirt that had gotten on my dress while taking pictures prior to the ceremony, and she even offered to bustle my dress before our first dance. Fausto was attentive and supportive through major events. He helped our wedding party with timing cues while walking down the aisle, reminded us of key transitions throughout the night, and was there to take my bouquet during our first dance. Fausto and his team paid attention to details like this throughout the entire day — and it is the reason our wedding flowed like a dream! And the FOOD!!! We had an all vegan/vegetarian wedding and my guests are STILL talking about how amazing the food was! (It truly gets brought up to us by someone at least once a week haha). The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully plated. This was one of the major highlights for our guests! Blue Elephant made our wedding an absolute dream. I highly recommend Blue Elephant for wedding catering. Jessica and her team could not have been better to work with - so kind, communicative, organized, adaptable, punctual, talented. They worked with us to create the perfect wedding menu that was within our means and captured our vision. They were so patient and understanding while we finalized these details. We hired Blue Elephant to cater our small at home wedding back in 2020 - queue covid - and we ended up postponing to a large event December of 2021. Not only were they ready to make our small ceremony an unforgettable night, they pivoted with us to turn our small wedding ideas into our big wedding dreams! Dominique kept us on track with timelines and vendor management and made sure that we didn't have a thing to consider the day of. We walked into the venue to find that she had made our fairytale come to life! The food was beyond incredible and all our guests raved about it. They even sought out our guests with dietary restrictions to bring them their own plate of food at our cocktail style reception. The staff was all extraordinary and made our wedding a night well worth the wait!

Reuben and Blue Elephant were absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding! The food was absolutely amazing and a huge hit, from the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres to the salad to the main course. Reuben himself was so invaluable as a coordinator, from helping us structure the day, to suggesting and negotiating with vendors, to running the show the day of and coordinating rental pickup. He even came to the rehearsal and church ceremony to help make sure the flowers were set up, the groomsmen were ready to go, and to time/signal when the party members and I should walk down the aisle. The goal as a couple for a wedding is to never feel like you need to work on something the day of the wedding, and Reuben gave us that comfort and security that allowed us to fully enjoy the day. I would highly recommend him to anyone getting married in the Portland area!

I am so happy we decided to book Blue Elephant to cater our wedding. The food was amazing and we never even did a tasting. My other vendors spoke highly of Blue Elephant and they went above and beyond my expectations. Nicki helped not only with the food but venue layout and rentals, which was extremely helpful. Extremely helpful and professional staff who clearly have experience with catering weddings. Highly recommend!!

11/10! We worked with Fausto and his team at Blue Elephant for both wedding planning and catering and we had an incredible experience. We had an absolute blast on our wedding day and we know that that it would not have been possible without Fausto and the Blue Elephant team. From every moment of help during planning, to countless emails, to helping us at our rehearsal to guiding us on our actual wedding day, we appreciated Fausto’s calmness, professionalism, and experience at every turn. During planning, Fausto and his assistant Jessica fielded countless questions and always steered us in the right direction, even if we didn’t intend on going that route (one example was his expert call to forgo wedding favors and put the funding elsewhere – he was 100% right, another example is to absolutely include coffee service in your food budget. We wanted to nix and we’re glad he convinced us otherwise – we both needed coffee ourselves that night). If he thought we wouldn’t love something he was honest but patient, and we were so grateful to have that perspective. My husband has repeatedly said that he wishes Fausto could be saved on my phone's speed dial since I always calmed down significantly after a call or visit with him - that is the mark of an incredible wedding planner and an even more incredible person. Fausto is such a calming presence for a stressed out couple, especially if you are planning from out of state, and having him and his team by our side as we navigated through planning was such a blessing. The day of, us and our guests were wowed by the venue space decor and especially wowed by the food. We still have guests talking about how much they loved our dual-protein dinner selection and we have been attempting to re-create several of the appetizers here at home (get the Cuban sandwiches and thank us later). Fausto also made sure to have a member of his staff assigned to help us during our reception to make sure we were happy and that got the chance to try every type of food. We were able to eat a bite of virtually everything on the menu that day, which was unexpected and so so wonderful, since many of our pals never got to eat much during their own weddings. Fausto even stepped in to decorate our wedding cake with florals and it turned out amazing. Blue Elephant made our wedding day so special, memorable, and incredible. We had an amazing time and are Blue Elephant fans for life. We highly recommend working with them, especially Fausto, for any special event.

I have been planning weddings in the Boston market for 10+ years and as a Type A, self-diagnosed control freak, I was genuinely concerned with how I was going to "Let It Go" on the wedding day and truly be in the moment to enjoy every second. But, thanks to Fausto and his entire team I did!!! Blue Elephant Catering came highly recommended by a caterer I work with often in Boston. I booked them before ever tasting their food and honestly (the control freak in me) was nervous. HOWEVER, the moment we stepped foot into the tasting room all of my concerns were put to rest. The food was AMAZING!!! Then, in the weeks leading up to the wedding we threw a crazy idea at Fausto... everyone in our family / friend circle often jokes about how much my husband enjoys McDonalds so we wanted to serve McDonalds fries and chicken nuggets as a late night snack... Fausto didn't skip a beat and quickly embraced the idea helping us figure out just how to make it happen. Thanks to Fausto & the Blue Elephant team I was TRULY able to forget about the wedding details/plans and enjoy the day, all of our guests enjoyed the most delicious (Blue Elephant Catering) meal, and we all were seriously WOWed by the most elegant (haha yes!) display of McDonalds chicken nuggets and fries to cap the night! Like I said, I have been doing this for a longgg time and truly think that Blue Elephant Catering is the best of the best! Thank you so much Fausto!!!!

If I could give them 100 stars I would! Not only was the food amazing the staff was even more amazing! They never stopped all night they went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly, I would hire them again and again!

We worked with Reuben as our catering coordinator and our day-of coordinator, and we can’t recommend him highly enough! We did the bulk of the planning ourselves, and we felt so lucky to have Reuben as a reference and sounding board. He helped guide us through the process and was happy to offer help. He is unshakably calm, which was totally key in helping us relax throughout planning and in the days before the wedding. He is so experienced and took the time to get to know us, which meant that he helped us focus on what was important for our day. He has an incredible rolodex of other professionals in the area - most of our vendors were recommendations from him, and we loved working with every single one. We told him we wanted as little waste as possible, and he worked hard to supply sustainable solutions for the catering and bar. And, most importantly, our guests love the food! He worked with us to make our menu perfect for our guests, and was super flexible, open, and knowledgeable about how to build a menu for a group of our size (140). On the day of the wedding, we were able to completely relax and enjoy our day knowing that Reuben was on it. He was totally essential in making our day go so smoothly and we can’t recommend him enough.

Fausto and his team at Blue Elephant were amazing! They pulled off three flawless events over four days for our wedding (rehearsal dinner, reception, and brunch). He has a great team that has worked with him for years and everyone was very nice and professional. They take the extra steps to make sure that everything is just right and were very organized in their approach to the day – showing up early in the day and getting everything ready well in advance. They also did a great job of cleaning up their space and leaving everything just as they found it. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Our rehearsal dinner was more traditional food, but for our wedding we decided to go with a Latin menu. They can do it all and everyone commented that they really enjoyed the food. The dinner was also executed flawlessly (for over 180 people) and they made sure that everyone got fed in a timely manner. Fausto was also fantastic to work with as we were planning our wedding. He made multiple trips to visit the location of our wedding and was very accommodating in his schedule (visiting with us on weekends – important since we lived out of state). He has great ideas and was very helpful in translating what we wanted into reality. One example of this was the set up of the tent. He helped us map out long Tuscan style tables and coordinated a simple but very tastful lighting plan. When we look back at the pictures from the day the tent was absolutely stunning and his input was a big part of that. As we met people that could be our day of coordinator, we wanted someone that would listen to us and help execute our vision, but that could also take charge and make things happen on the day of. Fausto fit this role perfectly. He is attentive and supportive, but he also has no problem running the show and making sure all of the vendors are where they need to be. This allowed us to enjoy our day. We were very impressed with Blue Elephant and would highly recommend them (and we already have)!

Rueben and Dominique were amazing through the entire 7-month process of planning our wedding. Right from the first meeting, we could see how knowledgeable they are and felt extremely comfortable in trusting them to handle an event that meant so much to us. In fact, Rueben’s visualization of how our wedding could be laid out was a huge factor in choosing the venue. Rueben was always available for a quick call, text, or email as questions arose. Leading up to the week of the big day, Dominique ensured all vendors were on schedule with their pick-ups, delivery, set up, etc. Everything was set up exactly as we wanted it and part of this was due to their amazing floor plan website where we could literally see our wedding plan come alive. To walk in the day of and see it exactly how we pictured was amazing. We felt so comfortable with Rueben, Dominique and everyone on their team. Thank you so much for making our wedding day an event we will never forget.

When we started to look at venues for our wedding reception, almost every place we went to seemed to recommend Blue Elephant. When we finally chose our venue, we hired Blue Elephant immediately and we are so glad we did! Planning our wedding from Florida wasn’t easy, but Fausto was highly responsive and was always so accommodating to meet with us whenever we came to Maine. So many people commented on the delicious food for cocktail hour and dinner. Fausto is so knowledgeable and recommended all of the best vendors! Our day was perfect thanks to Fausto and his team.

Blue Elephant was the reason our day was absolutely perfect. I don't think it is possible for them to create an event that is less than stellar! Anytime we spoke with Reuben about our 200+ wedding, it was like taking a liquid Xanax. He was patient and creative, gave suggestions, took charge when requested and did all this with calm and ease. Quality food is very important to me and because of this, I am often disappointed with wedding fare. Justin Badorek, the chef, did an outstanding job! The meat was cooked perfectly, vegetarians raved about their butternut squash ravioli and as I walked from table to table I saw somthing I have never seen at a wedding before: clean plates.

Blue Elephant truly sets the bar for professionalism and dedication in catering. I used this company for my September 8th wedding at Shady Lane farm in New Gloucester. Throughout the entire planning process Fausto and his team were attentive, responsive, and accommodating. We worked within my budget and customized a buffet menu that worked for my venue and guests. I was honestly completely pleased with Blue Elephant already going into the week of my wedding- but when it came to crunch time- they exceeded any expectation and truly made my wedding perfect. I ran into some issues with rentals and with one email to Fausto he had the problem solved- within 10 mins (not even enough time for me to have a melt down). The team was absolutely meticulous with set up and worked so well together you could barely tell they were there. During the event Fausto and his team were incredible. They were three steps ahead of the game in every aspect, and ran the show flawlessly. Someone followed my wedding party, making sure they had food. The cards were counted and organized- I could go on and on. With this alone- I wouldn't even have cared if the food was good- but it was AMAZING. Every guest was raving about the dishes- and I just had a simple buffet. To sum it up- if you are thinking about using Blue Elephant, please do, it will be the best choice you make for your event. I am endlessly grateful for Fausto and his team. They have truly found what they are meant to do and mastered it. Bravo

My husband and I loved working with Fausto. He had previously catered my sister-in-law's wedding so we already knew his food would be fantastic. We decided to also have him as our wedding planner and we are so glad we did. Planning a wedding from across the country was stressful, especially with 9 vendors to coordinate. We were not sure how it would all come together on the day-of but thanks to the Magic of Fausto, everything was better than we could have hoped. He made great recommendations on rentals that added lovely finishing touches to our venue. When one of our vendors dropped the ball, he stepped in to make sure everything would be perfect. When it rained up till the last minute before our ceremony, he convinced us to do the wedding outside anyways - which was absolutely the right call. His team kept everything running on time while being unfailingly polite. We are so glad we had him on our side on the big day. Great job, Fausto & team!

We chose Blue Elephant Catering for our wedding and it was the perfect choice! Not only was the food incredibly delicious (our guests are still talking about it), but the planning process with Reuben from the initial meeting to the wedding day was more than we could have ever asked for. Reuben’s attention to detail and organization over the wedding weekend (rehearsal dinner and wedding) was exactly what we needed. Everything went off without a hitch! I completely trusted him and his team to coordinate the day and they absolutely crushed it. From setting up the venue, owning the itinerary/schedule, to the impeccable food and service - they made our wedding day picture perfect. There is no way I could’ve pulled off the wedding of my dreams without Fausto and his team at Blue Elephant! My wedding was 16 days ago and I am still blown away with how seamless the day was. My expectations were far surpassed and I couldn’t have been more happy with how everything looked and especially the service! Fausto played a major part in helping me with the wedding process. He made me feel so comfortable with my food choices as well as the décor selections in making sure everything would look to what I had envisioned. He absolutely nailed it and I couldn’t be more appreciative! I was worried about having to set up everything in the venue the morning of because the venue was a blank canvas so I had several different vendors I was working with which made me even more worried about everything arriving to the venue in time, but Fausto completely took charge and was in contact with each of the vendors and his team set up everything so I didn’t have to do a thing but relax and get ready with my bridesmaids. When we arrived to the venue for the reception, there was a server solely dedicated to my husband and I making sure we had food and drinks throughout the day/evening. I know a lot of my friends whom have had weddings that said they never got to drink because they could never get to the bar, so having this server dedicated to us was amazing! And not mention, the food was the cherry on top to the perfect day! The food was outstanding! We did a plated dinner, and when the food got to us it was still hot! There were no issues with people getting their food, the food was delivered to people right on schedule, and everyone complimented on how delicious the food was! And after the wedding ended at 11, Fausto and his team cleaned up everything so quickly and loaded all of the cards, gifts and décor items in my parents car so none of us had to pick up a thing. Fausto was super organized and kept inventory of everything I brought and all of the gifts and cards so nothing would go missing. I cannot express more how thankful I am for Fausto and his team at Blue Elephant for catering my wedding! I didn’t have to worry about one thing on my wedding day because of them! I highly recommend them to anyone, you will definitely be more than happy with your decision like I was/am!

I can not say enough incredible things about the Blue Elephant team. Fausto, Brooke, and the entire team were supportive, creative, attentive, and went above and beyond our expectations from both an event coordination and catering perspective. They were responsive during the entire planning process, and the day of the wedding they were on top of every little detail for us so that we could just enjoy our day. They took care of us while attending to guests, helped solve last minute changes to setup, and of course served the most spectacular meal and appetizers for us and our guests! They did the work for us the day of our wedding and allowed us to just enjoy the moment, including bringing us drinks and appetizers. Hands down, we never would have been able to get through this entire process without Fausto and his team, let alone the day of the wedding. It is hard to put into words just how much appreciation my husband and I have for Fausto and his team at Blue Elephant Catering. Going with Blue Elephant for our September 2017 wedding was a no brainer from the beginning. At our first meeting with Fausto, we felt welcomed like an old friend. He made us feel so excited about what was to come and had wonderful recommendations. Along with catering your event, they will also act as your day-of coordinator. This is an invaluable service, as it took so much of the stress and guess work off of us, allowing us to be fully present in our day. Fausto and his team were attentive, respectful, and professional throughout. He met with us on different occasions, and answered any silly question we had - even putting my mind at ease with a "Plan B" just in case it rained for our outdoor ceremony. The food was fabulous, with many of our guests saying it was the best they have ever had at a wedding. We were so lucky to have Fausto himself as our day-of point person, and I am forever grateful. From helping me with my veil and helping us cut the cake, to keeping vendors to our timeline and making my vision and DIY projects come to life before my very eyes, we could not have done it without his expertise. I will recommend them over and over again. Without a doubt, Blue Elephant is the event and catering company for your big event! Thank you Fausto and team! Hiring Blue Elephant was the BEST DECISION we made planning our wedding. The Blue Elephant Catering team was a group of absolute professionals that were also a tremendous joy to work with. We can’t say enough about how much support we got from Fausto along the wedding planning journey. From help and guidance on wedding 101 basics, to tablescape design, to coordinating our vendors, to navigating challenging family relationships on the day-of, and to calming us down when we got too stressed. He’s a pro through and through with a sense of humor and great attitude to boot. He was additionally our day-of coordinator (which we can’t recommend enough) and everything on our special day exceeded our expectations, 10 out of 10 for every detail, we wouldn’t have changed a thing. If you hire Blue Elephant you will be putting your money and mind at ease and the event will go better than planned!!!!!

Blue Elephant is a like a well-oiled machine. They are by far the best in the area and can work on any budget. I had the privilege of working with Fausto and his team for my June wedding and looking back I know that my wedding went off without a hitch because of them. They are full service and are there every step of the way in your planning process. They coordinated the ceremony, reception layout, timelines, and worked well with all of other vendors to insure everything went according to plan. The food was amazing, we had the filets which were cooked to perfection, everyone loved it! After the ceremony my husband and I were even given your own personal staff member who tended to our every need. (We had Mariah- sorry not sure of the spelling – but she was fantastic!) Can’t say enough good things about the Blue Elephant team and I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

It’s impossible to put into words how incredible Blue Elephant is to work with. Not only are they the best caterers in the region—the food is amazing and served perfectly—but they also are absolute pros when it comes to the entire wedding planning and coordinating process in general. It’s shocking how much Reuben did to help us find the right vendors, get all the little—but critical—vendor-related details right (such as the right types and sizes of tents or the number of glasses for the bar...), and then ensure it all came together the day-of. He even orchestrated the ceremony and all the various transitions throughout the event. And he was there to close the door on the barn after the last guest left around 11:30pm—no less than 14 hours after getting to the venue. And his whole team worked just as hard. To put it bluntly: if you’re reading this and trying to decide on a caterer—do yourself a favor and quickly reach out to Blue Elephant and book them. You will not find any operation that can come close to their level. No aspect of planning will be difficult if you hire them. I had high standards for our wedding and am not easily impressed. our wedding ended up being a 10 out of 10, and I’m still sitting here, weeks later, in awe of Blue Elephant. Just an incredible operation in every way.

Blue Elephant did such a wonderful job catering our wedding and the day after brunch! We had worked with Ashli for about 10 months and before we started working with Kaitlyn. The transition was painless and Kaitlyn did an amazing job catching up on all the details for our wedding. She stayed in touch via email (we were planning from out of state) about our vision and then executed it even better than we had envisioned it! Our wedding was held at a private residence and everything really had to be carried out by scratch. Since we were planning from out of state, we really had to rely on Kaitlyn for a lot and she really turned our vision into a beautiful and fun event. Everything went off without a hitch, and that was really due to Kaitlyn’s tireless work coordinating all of our vendors as well as her own staff day of. She then arrived at a second private residence at 8am the next day for a brunch for all our guests (quiche and pastries). We got so many positive remarks from our guests about the food at both events and about Kaitlyn and her staff. We were especially grateful to have an assigned staff member who made sure we ate at the event. Wedding menu: lobster rolls, pulled pork and brisket sliders; appetizers: potato pancakes, chicken satay, caprese salad skewers + cheese and crudité station.

Blue Elephant was FANTASTIC! We booked 2 years out and our original coordinator ended up leaving and we worked with Kaitlyn from our tasting onward. Kaitlyn was amazing :) She listened to all of my ideas and thoughts and gave me advice when I needed it/had questions. I felt like she really understood my personality and knew that I would want to make sure everything got delivered & set-up for our ceremony and reception -- so she took pictures and sent me updates throughout the day which really eased my nerves. I was worried about letting someone else take the reigns and run the show -- but with Kaitlyn my worries were unfounded. She is truly a talented professional and I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat. The food was delicious, they cut our cake up for our guests, made sure our gifts/cards made it into a locked closet for us to pick-up the next day, and kept us right on schedule. Several family members commented they had never seen a wedding run so smoothly. Thank you for making our day & night amazing!!!

Blue elephant was a great service to work with. From offering a wide variety of food options, being open to custom orders, executing well and providing friendly, attentive staff they helped enhance the wedding day exponentially. The part I really want to rave about though was all the pre-wedding/day of coordination services. We had a change in consultant midway through our planning but the transition was handled really well. The lovely lady who took our event over, Kaitlyn, was quite possibly the primary reason I was able to keep my cool as well as I was (don't get me wrong, I had my moments.. lol). We had a tight schedule to set up because of restrictions with the venue so she got together a large team to bust everything out in a short time. She made last minute rain changes with a quiet, comforting poise that made me comfortable with the changes even when I was disappointed about the weather. She coordinated all the vendors day of, carried out any mundane request I had, answered emails at all hours of day or night, made sure the groom and I had food and beverage throughout the reception (even during pictures), decorated our cake BEAUTIFULLY, set up our tables thoughtfully.. I could go on and on. I'm sure she had much help to get all this done but she orchestrated it beautifully. We didn't have a choice of caterer due to an exclusive contract with our venue, but we were not disappointed with the quality of food and definitely not the quality of service. Certainly recommend.

A little late to the review process my wedding was on October 22, 2016! Blue Elephant went above and beyond my expectations. They were so friendly, personable and there staff was just as amazing. They were all so great and made my day go off without a hitch. They made everything not only run smoothly, but also look beautifully. They were there every step of the way and helped me stay on budget which was huge to my mother and I. My husband LOVED the food and he is hard to please! They catered our rehearsal dinner and that was just as good as everything else they did for us. I am truly grateful for the experience Blue Elephant was able to give my family and would give them the highest recommendation. They really made me feel comfortable and I can not mention enough the way the staff was. They were so helpful, polite, and respectful! LOVED THEM!!!!!!! :)

Blue Elephant is fantastic. The food is delicious, which is important, but even better they were a huge help in making sure the wedding day went seamlessly. The staff worked amazingly with all our other wedding vendors to make sure things went according to plan. They were in touch with my mother and the other contacts I had assigned in my bridal party to keep us updated with snags and helped to sort them out, too. They were really vital to the communication chain throughout the day! Plus they were all awesome people!

Where to begin with Blue Elephant? Before we even had a venue, we were booked with Blue Elephant - and it was the easiest, and most rewarding decision we collectively made. Blue Elephant is not just a catering company, but a full service event planning and production company, which is something they take great pride in and is evident in every little aspect of their work. Planning our wedding in Maine, from New Jersey, required that we find someone who was trustworthy, reliable, patient, and had as much energy as we did to make sure it was The Best Day Ever - and we found that person in Kaitlyn, a long-time veteran but newly promoted Event Producer who inherited us just four short months before our wedding due to an unforeseen staffing change. Lucky for us, she didn't miss a beat! Kaitlyn did so much for us and kept us on track every second of the way. She went above and beyond our expectations, picked up quickly on the exact vision we were going for, checked in on us regularly in the weeks leading up and more importantly, the day of the wedding, to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Her whole team was just outstanding the day of the wedding, and everyone from the servers to the owners of Blue Elephant were nothing short of a pleasure to work with. They somehow took all of the stress involved in planning a wedding, out of the equation. Everyone at our wedding was remarking on not only how professional and kind everyone was, but how amazing the food was. Another thing, we had requested a rather unique array of passed appetizers for our cocktail hour and we weren't completely sure about how they would be executed - Blue Elephant did it better than we even imagined they'd come out. All of our guests were raving about the quality and diversity of the food. If you're planning a wedding in Maine and you're from out of state, not sure where to start - start here. You'll be grateful to have done so. We certainly are!

I'm not sure where to even begin, because these guys are absolutely amazing in every way! Fausto was our coordinator and he truly brought our wedding to life! I would say that at least 95% of our guests even came up to me at some point during the rehearsal, reception, or brunch the next day to comment on how impressed they were with his ability to keep everything on track and organized! Everyone also loved the delicious food!! His staff are all fantastic and we had a waiter who brought food and drinks out to us when we were taking pictures and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. As a bride who had no idea how to plan a wedding, I truly couldn't have done it without Blue Elephant. Fausto made sure we had all the rentals and even looked through our contracts to make sure we weren't duplicating anything. All we really had to do was show up at the wedding and everything was done and perfect! Thank you Fausto, and Blue Elephant, for allowing us to have a stress free wedding that was more beautiful and amazing then we could have ever imagined!

It was an honor to work with Reuben and Fausto! They were both so extremely professional, flexible, and accommodating. From our allergies and dietary needs for our guests, to transforming our family camp (reception) to a beautiful reception, they really delivered. We had a beautifully served dinner at our reception, and everyone raved about the delicious food. Their waitstaff were outstanding--professional, helpful, and friendly. Aside from the food, they really are amazing coordinators. They set up everything we had for decor and centerpieces the morning of the wedding. It was stress-free for us, and a wonderful surprise to walk into at our reception to see it all put together! They listened to us to make the vision a reality. Our wedding day was simply perfect, largely in part to Blue Elephant Innovative Events & Catering. I can't recommend them enough!

Blue Elephant is amazing!! We wanted a unique wedding dinner menu and Blue Elephant made it happen. The food was delicious! We had so many compliments about the food, especially the tacos! Not only does Blue Elephant make amazing food, they also help make the wedding day run smoothly. I can honestly say we don’t know what we would do without Fausto and his team. They were amazing! Fausto came hours before our wedding and made sure everything was set up perfectly. He even got rid of a hornets nest so our guests wouldn’t get stung! He really went above and beyond. Fausto made it so we (and our family and friends) didn’t have to do anything or worry about anything - just enjoy. He made our day run smoothly. Amazing people and catering Planning a wedding can be expensive and stressful, but from the first moment I talked with Rueben at Blue Elephant I felt much better. Their food was absolutely amazing, their pricing was best I had come by for what’s offered, and working with them made my day that much more less stressful. When you hire Blue Elephant you get more than just an amazing catering company, you get a day of wedding coordinator and planning consultant. They were happy to share their contacts and any ideas of how we could make our wedding better or save money. They go above and beyond, I was feeling nervous week of my wedding because we had so many pieces and Fausto agreed to meet me Thursday before my wedding at my Portland rental home. I felt so much better and it really proved they care about your day and overall experience. My family is still raving about all of the great food and my uncle wont stop talking about the best cheese of his life and the lobster sauce haha. We had a lot of moving pieces day of the wedding and everything went off with out a hitch thanks to Fausto and the Blue Elephant team. Also shout to Lisa who was with us all day reminding us to eat and getting us drinks and completing tasks so we didn’t have to do it. You were a lifesaver and made the day that much more relaxing. Leading up to our wedding day interactions with the Blue Elephant were chaotic and stressful. We had an appointment for a walk through scheduled for 3 days before the event and after waiting 20 minutes finally called to see where the event coordinator was. We were told that he was ill and would not be able to make it but they could send someone else. An hour after our original appointment our walk through began and the woman was fantastic. Come to find out she would not be at the wedding but assured us all the notes would be given to the person that would be there. The following day my mother-in-law called me and stated that the individual we were told would be at our wedding was no longer in charge and we were on to a 4th person from the Blue Elephant. When I got to the venue the cocktail hour had been set up inside rather than outside, like discussed at the walk through. When I brought this up to the woman in charge she rolled her eyes and stated that the flatbreads would be ruined in the heat and it wasn't possible to do. I walked away feeling frustrated and belittled. I finally got the courage to tell her that I wanted everything outside and she came off extremely irritated. My mother-in-law stepped in at this point and eventually everything was moved to deck. The food was fine, the guests seemed to like both the filet mignon and the salmon so no complaints in this area. On a positive, the wait staff were incredible. One woman named Dee continuously checked in with us to make sure my husband and I didn't need anything and brought us our own platter of appetizers while we waited for introductions.

Amazing! Fausto and Reuben were awesome to work with. Everyone loved the food. The service was great. Having Blue Elephant relieved so much stress, they set up everything the day of the wedding, calmed my nerves in the weeks prior to the big day, and just did an outstanding job to make our day go smoothly.

Reuben and Fausto delivered nothing short of perfection and helped make our dream wedding day come true. Fausto personally delivered us our first glass of wine to toast as husband and wife and assigned a wonderful server to make sure we didn't miss out on the delicious appetizers and that I (the bride) was well fed at the wedding! They also did our rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch for an entire weekend of deliciousness. Don't miss out on the chance to work with this fantastic duo. I could not be any happier with the service of these guys! Fausto was incredible for the ENTIRE event. My in laws hired this company for the rehearsal dinner and we had hired them for the reception of the wedding. Words honestly can't express our gratitude for everything that Fausto did for us during those few days. From the decorating, to the directing of the wedding itself to the actual cooking and serving. When we chose them to do our wedding I didn't expect some of the things that they did that just went WAY above and beyond. The decorating was beautiful and the food was five-star. It was perfect. I truly don't know any other way to say it. I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking of hiring a catering company for any type of event. 100% amazing.

Catering by Blue Elephant was included as part of our reception package. the food at the tasting was wonderful, and we actually had quite a hard time narrowing down our options. the hors d'oeuvres were very good, and plentiful. For the main course we had (buffet style) parmesan crusted chicken (which was delicious!), a roast beef carving station (the meat was a bit on the rare side for most of our guests), grilled vegetables (which could have been a bit warmer), and roasted red potatoes. For guests 14 and under they had plated meals of chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese. The parents of smaller children appreciated that the kids were served a plated meal, which saved them from having to juggle plates while they were in line for the buffet. All of the children were fed first, which also made for happy parents. I'm told that the kids meals were great!

Reuben and Fausto were so easy to work with. They were extremely flexible and professional. They took care of all the details so we could focus on our guests and having fun.

I had my heart set on the Masonic Temple in Portland for my reception since my family is involved in the Masons. Blue Elephant is the exclusive caterer for the Masonic Temple, so I had to go with them. For starters, they booked my wedding day after we'd been communicating for 2 months about the menu and they made me change my date. They are absolutely terrible with communication in general. They rarely returned emails or phone calls. When I did manage to schedule a meeting face to face, they often came poorly prepared to talk about what I told them I wanted to discuss (menu, pricing, layout, etc). I've heard from many other brides that they changed caterers because the communication was so terrible. But I was stuck so I pushed forward being as detailed as possible so things would go smoothly the day of. They said they would take care of pick up and drop off of the linens for me, but I had to send my mother-in-law on a hour long errand the day before to pick them up. They wouldn't let me set up the day before insisting that they would take care of it so I gave them a detailed list of everything I brought for decorations and where I wanted it to go. When I arrived, not all of the decorations had been used, the bench covers were not put on the proper sizes, the fabric draped around the wall was all uneven, the uplighting was not against the pillars but shining in the guests' faces, the tables were all out of order so our best friends were in the back of the room, the escort cards (also the drink tickets) were put in a weird place so not everyone found them and guests were sitting at the wrong tables, they forgot the champagne for the toasts so guests were awkwardly toasting with water, and to top it all off: THE FOOD WASN'T WORTH IT. The chicken was dry and the fish was greasy. All in all, there wasn't anything I could do about their terrible service because I wanted the venue so badly, so I just had to laugh it off each time something else went wrong.

Blue elephant did a fabulous job! We had an all hors doeuvres wedding and let me tell you all of our guest went home full! They were able to customize me reception just the way I wanted with a macaroni and cheese bar, lobster rolls made to order, and so much more! There pricing was so reasonable and we had 3 things that had lobster on it! they took care of setting up our reception and so much more! Every single person commented on how good the good was and were so excited to find out they have there own little cafe too! I highly recommend them!

Reuben and Fausto were absolutely amazing with the set up of our wedding site. Everything looked beautiful and exactly how we wanted it. They did a great job with helping us and our ceremony. Letting everyone know where to be and when to enter. There were however a couple things that I was a little disappointed about. They were sometimes really hard to get a hold of and I know one of the reasons being is they have an incredibly busy summer with wedding after wedding so that was understandable. Once they did answer they took care of what I needed. The other one was the food was a little different from our wedding than it was from the tasting. The tasting a few days before was amazing, but when we actually were able to sit down and eat, our food was cold and there hadn't been enough of some things made to let everyone have it. We had chosen to eat last so we could visit all the guests at the tables so that did contribute to why it was probably cold. Now with all that I do have to say they were extremely nice, they did give us what we wanted and helped us out a great deal with most of the ceremony and reception. Their staff was amazing with all the help and being professional. All in all even with the couple hiccups, I would hire them again because the food I did have from them was great and they are amazing people. They did what they could with what we gave them and it all came out great at the end.

I absolutely love Reuben and Fausto! They were just amazingly easy to work with and warm from moment one. By the end of our search for venues with them a year and a half ago my mother was practically ready to adopt Fausto as her son while they chatted over the trials and delights of raising little girls. It was evident to me and my fiance from the get-go that they are true professionals who love what they do and take absolute pride in creating every couple's dream wedding. My fiance is a picky man who loves good food and good cocktails. Reuben and Fausto were endlessly patient and cooperative with my fiance's seemingly endless quest to tweak and perfect our ever more specialized menu. They had excellent suggestions for our menu and when it came time to taste we were so delighted. Just delicious! On the day of the wedding we were assigned the lovely Colleen to tend to all of our needs. I cannot emphasize enough how professional she was and how much her presence just made our day so easy and delightful. Anything we needed, she had already anticipated. Reuben and Fausto are your guys! They don't disappoint.

I cannot say enough good things about these guys. Their willingness to act as a coordinator and stylist is a huge plus for any bride. They were able to work within my budget without batting an eye. And responded to all of my emails, silly questions and all. They were also able to come up with a slightly more unconventional meal style to cut down on place setting rentals and the hassle of transporting dishes to the island that our wedding was on. We asked them to cater a wedding on a slightly more remote island they had never been to and they agreed without any hesitation - AND pulled it off without a hitch. And I received compliments on the food all night long. Delish! These guys are just awesome. Hire them before they are all booked up. They are busy!

Yes, I do! I literally do not think I can put into words how much I adore this caterer! Reuben and Fausto were recommended to us by my photographer (the lovely and equally amazing Brea McDonald) and were equally--if not more--incredible than what she described. From the moment that I met with them I knew it was a perfect match. They were just as excited as I was about my wedding and we spent the better part of two hours pouring over ideas for not only food, but decor and our infamous candy-apple bar (yes, we did this!)!! I remember leaving feeling like I not only found the most amazing caterer for my wedding, but a new best friend. Talk about a warm and fuzzy feeling! As the months went by, I'd email Reuben and Fausto occasionally to ask questions pertaining to my day and they were always prompt (24 hours or less...everytime!). They even met us and our wedding coordinator at our rehearsal to scout out the site (Thompson's Apple Orchard in New Gloucester, Maine), get the lay of the land, do a mental "rehearsal" of how the day would play out, where the kitchen would be set up, how the flow of the evening would go and finalize the itinerary with us. They were also the ones who suggested utilizing the old, vintage apple ladders as part of our decor. (which just happened to be a focal point inside our tent. AWESOME!) On the day of my wedding, Reuben, Fausto and their fantastic team were instrumental in ensuring EVERYTHING was not only perfect, but 100% us. They learned who our guests were, how they were connected, what the dynamic was. They acted as security when the bridal party and I wanted pre-ceremony privacy from curious guests. They gave us time checks, so we knew how much time until the ceremony. Coordinated entrances for the groomsmen and bridal party. They even fluffed my dress before I went down the isle!!! These guys are AMAZING...and I haven't even gotten started on the food!!!! Delicious!!! Deciding on our dinner was easy. I struggle with making decisions when everything sounds incredible, so Fausto suggested a duel plate of filet mignon and salmon (that way I had the best of both worlds) and a scrumptious vegetarian dish for the non-meat lovers. ;) I was sold. Both were prepared to perfection. I actually cleared my entire plate (this is a wedding first). They also catered, thoughtfully, to our under 10 crowd by offering mac n' cheese with chicken nuggets. How great is that? The HD's were the hardest part to select because the choices were so fabulous! They were creative, unique and not your typical wedding appetizer selection (which was a huge plus for us). My husband is still craving the sirloin and Gorgonzola cheese wrapped in bacon! Mmmm... So, if you're looking for a caterer who truly invests themselves in YOUR special day and goes above and beyond simply making an amazing meal. Look no further. The Blue Elephant is the real deal. We love, love, lovvvvveeee them and look forward to working with them in the future for other events.

Blue Elephant Events and Catering was absolutely wonderful, we can't speak highly enough of them. The food was amazing, beautifully presented and delicious, but the food was only a part of their contribution to our wedding. They assisted with every aspect of the event, and worked tirelessly to ensure the wedding was perfect!
