About this vendor
“Blue fire” was originally the name of a special effect used in Victorian theaters in which a mixture containing sulfur would be ignited to create an eerie blue glow on stage. The effect astonished audiences at the time, who had never seen anything like it before, hence "blue fire" came to be used to describe anything equally amazing or sensational, or that astounded an audience. Let us astound your guests with a culinary experience like they have never seen!

We are so glad we chose Blue Fire Catering for our wedding! Jessica was incredible throughout the entire process, helping us with everything from the tasting to finalizing the menu. The tasting was especially helpful in guiding us toward the station-style cuisine we ended up with, and we couldn't have been happier with the choice.
The food was an absolute hit with our guests, who continued to compliment us long after the wedding. Blue Fire went above and beyond to accommodate all of our guests' dietary needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options, ensuring everyone was well taken care of.
The cocktail hour was a standout with their lobster risotto balls, bacon-wrapped chicken, and berry bruschetta. For the reception, we enjoyed wood-grilled chicken and roasted prime rib au jus, along with the most delicious sides. The presentation and flavor were impeccable, making it one of the most memorable parts of our big day.
If you're looking for a caterer who offers incredible food, excellent service, and can accommodate dietary preferences with ease, I highly recommend Blue Fire Catering. It was a true highlight of our wedding!
I am an assistant planner with Stunning & Brilliant Events and we loved working with Blue Fire Catering! They were so easy to communicate with and the food was delicious. They were extremely helpful on the wedding day and that's always a huge plus. Cannot wait to continue working with them!
I was impressed with Blue Fire when I went to the tasting. However, on my wedding day... not so much. I had a plated dinner with two choices, and one of the main entrees was very different from what was agreed upon at the tasting (different sauce and missing a side). We requested that no spinach be used in the salad (just out of personal preference), and even though this was reflected in our quote... on the day of, the salad was completely spinach. Also, the food was very cold (even though, as the bride, I was served first). They provided the servers for the seated dinner, which was extremely slow. It was agreed upon that there would be rolls on the table at the beginning of the reception, but there were no rolls to be seen. Even though this was a separate charge (paying for the bread itself and renting the bread basket), I had to have my planner go and get it, and it wasn't until all the entrees were served. Honestly, the food wasn't terrible/unedible, but the event management was very unprofessional, and it was the least favorite part of my wedding day.
Blue fire catered our wedding back in May, and honestly it was not a great experience overall. From the get go, they were frustrating and confusing to coordinate with - constantly sending us wrong proposals, incorrect meal choices, things missing, ex. Multiple basic things were missing even from our original quote which made our final total much higher than expected, which was frustrating. But definitely not as frustrating as not getting what we paid for day of the wedding. We came in under count for the wedding guests, and accurately accounted for all vendor meals. However, they ran out of passed hors d’oeuvres before 15 people ever even saw them which was super weird and embarrassing for us, considering we were under the guest count we provided them. No real complaints about the plated meal, except that they didn’t pack any extra for myself or my new husband which from my understanding is very typical. So we went home with literally zero food or leftovers (again, very strange since we were undercount). And then we paid for a late night bite (basically a second round of hors d’oeuvres just after dinner) which was never offered to me, my husband, or basically any of our guests. A few people mentioned they saw them but weren’t offered/never got some (they were specifically passed late night bites, not set out on a separate table somewhere). Overall, we felt like we absolutely did not get what we paid for and after the headache of dealing with the company they were by far our most disappointing vendor from the whole wedding. The only good thing I can say is that our guests loved both the chicken and steak that was served and said it was exceptionally good for wedding food. Everything else was mediocre. If I had a choice I would not choose blue fire again.
We loved Blue Fire Catering for our wedding! The process was smooth and easy. Kaitlyn was great to work with and answered any and all questions quickly. Our guests were thrilled to have a menu that wasn't typical wedding food. We chose the fajita menu + queso, which was delicious. For appetizers, we did the brie grilled cheese sliders and jalepeno deviled eggs- also delicious. Can't recommend them enough!!
What won my husband and I over about Blue Fire Catering:
1. Kaitlyn. She's beyond fantastic, adaptable and communicative.
2. Tasting Experience. We decided to do a tasting with our venue's 4 catering options before booking. I have ZERO complaints about the tasting meal we had with Blue Fire. All the options were SO TASTY. The chef even said hello and was so open to our food preferences (we're not spicy food eaters) and was presenting easy changes to the menu options to customize them for us. We even were presented with an additional entree with sides as a bonus beyond what we picked to try. Well worth it - gave us all the confidence to go with them!
3. Planning Process. In the month before the wedding, you're making changes left and right, yet they were always ready to get responses and answers back quickly.
4. Day of. All of our guests raved about how great the food was which was a huge priority for us. I'd rather spend a little more and have better than "wedding food" served. We had a plated meal with three options with passed appetizers and everything from food presentation to service went perfectly. My husband and I had a personal server too and that was such a great and sweet touch.
5. Just book them already. I'm already planning to use Blue Fire for future events and parties - they are that good!
Kaitlyn and Blue Fire were phenomenal and I loved working with them! Kaitlyn was a great communicator and quick to reply to my emails and phone calls. The chef was extremely flexible and accommodating to any dietary restrictions, and we got nothing but fabulous compliments on the incredible food! The chef is so talented with such a great variety to offer on his menu. Our favorite things that we received the most compliments on were the appetizers and the late night bites. I would highly recommend Blue Fire for anyone's wedding or any other occasion!
Blue Fire was amazing to work with for my wedding! Kaitlyn was such a great help and was understanding with all of the last minute headcount tweaks. The food was AMAZING and everyone loved the stations we chose. The tasting we went to was beyond our expectations and we left full and happy! I highly recommend them for your wedding!
Blue fire is amazing. Its not your average basic wedding food caterers. The food was so flavorful and unique. You will not regret hiring them. Our guests were licking their plates clean. A week out from our wedding and people are still raving about the food!!

Oh my goodness!!!! I cannot say enough kind things about Blue Fire Catering! The food? INCREDIBLE!! It was delicious, creative, and presented so beautifully! The staff were the KINDEST people throughout the whole process! Since COVID-19 happened, my plans must have changed at least 3 different times and every time they were flexible and understanding! On the day of the wedding was in my backyard in August. It was the hottest day on record and not a single person on the staff complained. They were all so kind and had wonderful attitudes!
