I attended my son 7 daughter-in-law's wedding on Saturday November 20,2021. To say this catering company was professional would be untrue, first the meat was half raw, the chicken very dry the salad OH MY GOD they had a head of lettuce cut in half smothered in Blue Cheese dressing with chunks of blue cheese on the bottom of the plate! I don't know about anyone else but I don't care for blue cheese at all. They didn't bring the right utensils to eat the food & when asked about it they just shrugged & said nothing they could do about it. The bartender was a very nice guy but the choices were minimal, went up to order something they didn't have it had to choose something I wouldn't normally have then they ran out, I don't like to mix alcohol at all. This company was a piss poor excuse for a professional catering service.

We attended a beautiful wedding last Saturday evening. The cocktail hour was not kid friendly, no utinsels were put out for it, the dinner...where to start...the chicken was dry & my Granddaughter (she is 4) had a hard time eating it, there was hard chunks of something in the potatoes, the gravy was a very small dish & people were using it sparingly, no spoons or knives, servers seemed "put out" and frustrated that they had to be there, they were not friendly at all!!!! We had to eat the prime rib with our bare hands as there was nothing to cut it with!!! The blue cheese dressing on the salads tasted funny, napkins seemed to be in short supply as well! The bride & groom deserve a full refund for the food since it was a disaster!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish there was a zero stars because I would NOT recommend Blue Moon Catering

All I can really say is i was disappointed and honestly it was pitiful. Issues with plates, eating utensils, the food itself, the dessert etc. Really disappointed to be honest. Not even worth the one star. Dreadful.

To say we're disappointed is an understatement! This was an absolute shit show from this catering company. So let's start at the beginning of them being a little late and slowly setting things up. The cocktail hour was cut short. They didn't put out all the food, nor did they bring it all either. There was supposed to be fruit, crackers, cheese, ect... Well we had lots of cheese but not much else. Next up is dinner. Let's start with not having proper cutlery, and plates. We had appetizer size plates and they only brought FORKS!!! The meals was mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, chicken and prime rib. See the issue? Only having forks made all of our guests eat said food items with their fingers... That is not okay! Now let's get onto the food. All the food was cold. Chicken was dry and even adding gravy didn't help. Even having the burners underneath it did nothing, except burn the food directly under them. They weren't stiring the foods but told the guests to do it if they wanted warm food. The Prime rib was sliced paper thin then cut in half. We didn't get full slices. Even though they had an entire othe prime rib they never even cut into. None of the food was labeled, so there was an allergic reaction with one of the guests. Then the main Girl doing the stuff (looked like a lead) decided she wanted to do dessert and so she placed out the chocolate covered strawberries (before all guests had even been served). She then proceeded to lie to the brides mother about how many they had, there were supposed to be 50 only 30 were there and when confronted she became confrontational and with an attitude. She did this with everything we brought to her attention. The more we tried to just explain our disappointment the more she got an attitude and then she decided they were done and cutting out (4hrs before they were supposed to) so some guests still didn't really get to enjoy their meal. When all this was brought to the manager and owners (Bill is his name) attention they told the bride she had big emotions and that none of this was a big deal, and that she needed to wait a few weeks for her emotions to calm down. The only compensation they are offering is a dinner to the bride a groom for ruining their reception! absolutely disgusting and disgraceful. I do not recommend this place to anyone for any event unless you want to be treated poorly and then told you have big emotions when things go wrong.

If I could give no stars I would. Was at a beautiful wedding this weekend and we watched BlueMoon Caterers ruin the reception!! How? Man where to start… provided only forks. No spoons or knives in sight. Only cocktail plates not a dinner plate. All was included in their service agreement. Actually the Bride family paid extra for an “upgraded” plasticware. It was awful watching the poor Bride have to pick up her prime rib and try to eat it with her bare hands. Potatoes were cold and had hard pieces of plastic in them. The string beans were straight out of a can. No one bothered to heat them up. Just placed them on a heating candle plate that’s designed to keep warm not cook. They stopped severing before everyone was served. Yes, that’s correct. Then just placed the dessert out before the Bride and Groom were ready for the cake. Before anyone realized they stopped serving the caterer took it upon herself to “throw” the left overs away. Dumped she said it was out too long. Health Dept states food that is served buffet style can be out a max of four hours as long as temp is kept and regulated. Time from service to food in trash under an hour. Thank God for good videographers! I truly hope the Bride and Groom are compensated for the disaster Blue Moon Caterers created. Worst service ever!!

They were amazing! Guests loved the pasta serving, they allow you to serve your own beer and wine. Con- we didn't get a plate to go, and it was very pricey- especially when guests don't show up. You do not get the food you paid for when the event is over- not happy about that.

Just hired this company to cater my wedding. I had three big concerns. 1. They cut the WHOLE cake so most of it went to waste, threw away my cake topper. 2. The mashed potatoes were very watery. 3. The people to planned and ran my event were very hard to get rid of. When I discussed this with the owner he did not seem to concerned. The food was good, the event personnel were great but I would not recommend Blue Moon.

The food was so good - people went back for seconds and thirds! Blue moon was so helpful during the pandemic and adjusting our quote, food choice and times. I would definitely recommend them if you’re looking for professional staff to help with your event!

The food was fantastic! It was delicious and the staff was helpful! Everything went great just like I wanted !

We paid for 185 guests to be served 3 street tacos per guest (plus sides). We had about 175 guests show up to the wedding and most guests only had 2 tacos. With about 20 guests left standing in the food line, Blue Moon ran out of tacos. The guests stood in line for about 30 minutes waiting for food....delayed the entire wedding. I was horrified. To make things worse, no Blue Moon employee even apologized or tried explaining what went wrong! The food was amazing, but Blue Moon only provided about 2/3 of the tacos I paid for! Very upsetting.

Fantastic, everything went off without a hitch. I also provided the wine/beer and they tended the bar for a reasonable amount instead of getting another vender! So many compliments! (Only negative comment I received was the grilled chicken was dry, but that’s to be expected!)

Blue Moon catered to both our rehearsal dinner and wedding. The service was exceptional, as well was the food. We had the filet buffet for rehearsal and had various appetizers butlered around for the guest and everyone loved all the food. People were searching down the butlers to get more! As for the wedding, we did the pasta sauté station and it was the best decision I had made. the entire set up was wonderful and very interactive. Cannot go wrong with any option and Bill really knows what he is doing. Highly recommend!

Blue Moon provides both exceptional food and service! We received numerous comments on how good the food was and people even went back for seconds. Choose the Blue Moon salad even if it’s an upgrade; it’s definitely worth it. Blue Moon offers a large variety of culinary styles and dishes sure please every palate. They also worked with our budget to ensure we had the food we wanted at a price we could afford. The staff was very professional, friendly and efficient – they gave extra attention to the bride, groom, and wedding party but also made sure all guests were well taken care of. They checked in multiple times with my husband and I to ensure we wanted for nothing. At the end of the meal, they boxed up the extra food so that it could come home with us. I highly recommend Blue Moon for any catered event.

We had a very positive experience with Blue Moon. They offer great tastings for prospective customers - both group and individual - and offer a huge variety of culinary styles and dishes. The food and bar at our wedding were fantastic - my parents received tons of compliments. The staff was very friendly and efficient. One thing that my husband and I really appreciated was, as our guests started going through the buffet, the staff brought us each a heaping plate of food to our table. We actually got a chance to eat before we started greeting our guests at their respective tables. A minor note from my parents was that it sometimes felt like there were communication gaps between staff on the sales side. For instance, my parents spoke to Employee A who promised to send the payment receipt the next day. After a few days passed, they called to follow up, and Employee B had no knowledge of it. However, this was a relatively minor issue that did not have any negative consequences on our event - the menu was spot-on and there were never any billing or payment mix-ups. Our overall experience with Blue Moon was great.

We were glad to have Blue Moon as a caterer. I immediately liked them because they created a customized seasonal menu with tons of vegetarian options for me. I also appreciated that they were willing to host our dinner family or british style even though it was not a service option they offered when we first booked them. Ashley was terrific to work with during the planning process. She was prompt with communication and detail oriented. I felt like she listened to all of our needs and made it work with our budget. Day of the wedding, the servers listened to our instructions to the tee. The goat cheese bruschetta was divine and many people commented how great the pork sliders were. The place settings were very classy and the champagne toast was executed perfectly. At dinner I would have liked the food to have been a bit hotter when it arrived but we were also running behind schedule. I was irritated when the jalepeno cheese grits were topped with bacon but a server quickly resolved the issue once I flagged her down. My husband was not a big fan of the steak but he said the turkey was good. All other components of the dinner were very tasty and my guests said it was the best wedding meal they ever had. The servers were great about keeping things clean and organized, so much so my slice of wedding cake disappeared after one bite when I was whisked away to the dance floor. We also had a bar that I never made it to but my husband was pleased with the service. Overall I think Blue Moon did a great job and I was impressed

The only reason that prevents me from giving them five stars is that there was a miscommunication with the sales rep, and I ended having to pay more for a mistake that I didn't see in time to correct. However, they have excellent food, and their service is second to none. Tyler was incredibly helpful to us in taking care of the mistake made, and made our day awesome. We loved how easy it was to set up everything for our meal with them. They might cost more money, but having servers there was more than worth it for us. Thanks, Blue Moon!

The food was great, service was greater! We had them for our catering and bar, they went above& beyond and kept a drink in everyone's hands all night long!

They worked so well with us. We were able to get a unique and delicious meal for our guests at a good price and wonderful service!

My daughter chose Blue Moon because of Lana, but when Lana found another job, Bill stepped in and made us all feel like nothing would change because of what individual we were working with and it ended up being perfect! I highly recommend going to one of their "tastings". They have so much to offer and it's all delicious. You just decide what you like best from all their options. Choosing our menu wasn't that difficult and Bill worked with us and our budget. We had the bar service as well and they not only let us bring several cases of our own bottled beer in coolers, they displayed and served them from pretty bronze tubs that made it look so professional. They also gave us the first batch of frozen peach bellinis for free and dyed them purple for us to go with our wedding colors. The night of the wedding was wonderful. They plated the head table and kept the buffet up for the other guests. The food was delicious, (we had the penne in a Spinach Alfredo Sauce with Grilled Chicken and Vegetables and the Hearty Beef Lasagna) They let us mix and match the vegetables and salad to fit my daughter and her fiance's tastes. They were so friendly and professional that night. They made our night that much more special knowing it was all taken care of.

I needed to find a caterer for my daughters small and intimate wedding reception and was lucky to have a friend recommend Blue Moon Catering. It was the best decision I could have made. Not only were they professional from beginning to end, but they were personable as well. The staff the day of the reception were absolutely amazing, helping us make the day stress free as I never had to worry one bit about the food being on time, ready, and tasting fantastic. Which it was by the way. Absolutely amazing, all of our guests couldn't say enough about how good the food was. It was the best they had from any reception. I have some events coming up in the future and will absolutely utilize their services again.

Bill went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the food for our big day. When our wedding day rolled around, we were thrilled. Not only did the staff pay special attention to my husband and I, but also the wedding party in general. The food was awesome, the service was awesome, and we couldn't have asked for a better catering company!

Blue Moon is a great company to work with. We had talked to others which didn't go well but when we met with Bill from Blue Moon, he was wonderful. He's very personable and doesn't try to oversell. He's honest as upfront about your decisions and can be trusted since he has done so many weddings already. Te food was delicious, however, it was put away before the groom and I ever got a chance to eat. We thought it had just ran out that fast but the following day our parents pulled out hoards of leftovers which we also tasty. My only issue was that they should have left the food out longer. Other than that, everything was great! Thanks!

Blue Moon went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect. The food was spectacular. Our guests RAVED about the food and several said it was the best they had ever eaten at a wedding. To be honest, I didn't anticipate dinner being a remarkable piece of our reception and considered it more of a formality. As it turns out, the meal proved to be a main highlight of our day. The service was also exemplary. I had not expected to be doted on as my groom and I were, but it was greatly appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Blue Moon to others, and will use them again for future events!

Never have I been to a wedding where there have been as many compliments on the food. Everyone kept telling us how delicious it was, and we hardly had any leftovers! Lana was extremely helpful during the planning process as well, and gave me great insight into what to really spend my budget on. The service staff who worked our event were also great. They looked very professional and worked quickly. I would definitely use them again.

Blue Moon allowed us to utilize things we needed for our venue. It was great. They did an amazing job.

I used Blue Moon Catering for my wedding reception and they were amazing. BMC can take can of almost anything you need! The food was great, they had tableclothes for us to use, we used their bartenders and they even helped clean up! If you are getting married in the Wichita, KS area, you should use them, makes the whole process easy!

This catering company was great in that it had many options to choose from. The employee that we worked with in the planning stage was very nice and accommodating. I was shocked by the overall prices and really not that impressed with the food at the actual event. The wait staff was amazing however, they were constantly making sure I had everything I needed- like a drink at the cocktail hour. They did an excellent job of taking care of the bride and groom while we were stuck in conversation with people. Great service!

This caterer has the most extensive menu options I found and also the best prices. They set everything up and tear it all back down. They also help serve your guests and clean up the tables as the night goes on. Lana is the contact person and she is extremely helpful when it comes to deciding what you want for your big day.

Lana at Blue Moon was very accommodating and easy to work with! She didn't mind at all when we changed the menu with only a couple weeks to go before the wedding. They have a huge menu to choose from, with options for every budget. The meal we decided on was reasonably priced but still very tasty!

Blue Moon Caterers were wonderful! Not only was there food delicious, but there service was fantastic. Lana is great at helping you figure out the perfect wedding feast. She was even understanding when we had to change the entire menu a week before the event!

The food was awesome and the service was great. Be careful, because they like to clean up fast so make sure they don't take your food or drink before you finish it.

It's been a month since my wedding and people are still telling me how much they enjoyed the food and service at our reception for 230 guests. Blue Moon is fabulous! We had a champagne jazz brunch following our church wedding that featured three live cooking stations, a brunch buffet, and a carving station. Blue Moon greeted our guests with welcoming drinks of champagne, mimosas, and non alcoholic "blushing brides"...everything was wonderful down to the last detail. The food delicious and fresh and beautifully displayed;the wait staff, cooks, and servers were both professional and personable. Our every need was anticipated. Planning was a breeze with Bill and Lana's guidance - they were always available to answer any question and were open to all of our wants. Their selection of menus is huge and can be modified to suit anyone's needs. I wanted a "mound of bread" and they made it for me! Blue Moon's website says, "It's your event. It's very important to you. We get it." It's true, they do! Highest recommendation! You won't be disappointed!

The prep was great--Lana did a wonderful job making sure we had everything we wanted and leveled with us when it came to what we needed. The service the night of the wedding was very kind and efficient! The food was fabulous--we had the Tour of Italy, when having pasta you always have to worry but it turned out we didn't need to it was great! My grandpa who doesn't eat much any more had two big helpings of our chicken alfredo & spinach pasta---he doesn't even like spinach butt he loved this meal! In the beginning we were a little concerned bc they charge for filling the line service per plate which seems a little unnecessary but it was still the best deal we could find :)

I was very satisfied with Blue Moon. The food was delicious, and we got to keep the leftovers. The owner was overseeing everything the day of the wedding. He came up and talked to me for a few minutes about the reception, very personable man. The service was amazing and they were cleaned up and gone at the time that they were supposed to. I would definitely recommend Blue Moon to everyone.

I was planning my wedding from a different state and Blue Moon was the one of the only caterers I could find willing to meet with me over holiday weekends. Lana was great about working with my requests and the food was very good. Overall working with Blue Moon was a very positive experience.

We had the Italian buffet at our wedding, as well as a variety of appetizers. Everything was delicious! The staff took such good care of my groom and me. And the bartenders kept up with our very thirsty guests. I would use them again!

The service from Blue Moon was exceptional and whenever I had a question the response was quick. The food was great and just as I expected.

After having seen the presentation and tasting Blue Moon's food at several events, I knew when I started planning my wedding that was who I was going to use. Lana and Bill are fantastic to work with and are willing to cater (no pun intended) to your every wish and need to make your day fantastic. I started as a bride with a million ideas and after talking with Lana, she helped to bring me into focus. Without her there is absolutely no way I could've figured out every little detail and made it as perfect as it was. They are an amazing group to work with and I couldn't think of a single negative thing to say about them. If you want fantastic food, amazing presentation and fun and personable people to work with, I definitely recommend Blue Moon!

The food is amazing! The wait staff was super nice, and very helpful. Our guest were so happy with the food and the people.

We used Blue Moon Catering for our rehearsal dinner. They delivered on time and made clean-up easy with their delivery service. We also rented our linens for our wedding day through Blue Moon, and they were exactly what I wanted. I was picking out a color based on e-mails I had received as I was planning a wedding out-of-town, but everything was perfect. Lana in their office was very easy to work with and accommodating.

This company is amazing! Their customer service was superb. I called them several times leading up to my wedding and not one question went unanswered. They were very accommodating and, of course, the food was delicious! We had the Texas BBQ spread ($7.25 pp), and honestly I didn't hardly eat the day of and since the wedding was destination (i live in MD), I couldn't take any with me, but everyone said the food was amazing. They worked with me to make my signature cocktail (lemonade and sweet tea vodka). They even packaged up all the extra food and put it in the fridge for me. They only had about three people for my almost 100 guests, but it seemed to be enough.

The food was absolutely amazing! We ended up going with the pasta and lasagna and everyone loved it. We met with the owner and also did a tasting before the reception and we were impressed with the hospitality. They are very reasonably priced and would definitely recommend them again. We also provided our own alcohol and they had a bartender who was friendly and took care of the guests!!! Awesome job!!

They were great through the whole wedding process. They made their part of the wedding easy to deal with and very delicious. I head wonderful reviews throughout the night about the food. Of course we knew it was going to be great, because they let you attend other weddings in order to taste their food in the condition it is when your guests get it at your wedding. Just overall fantastic experience.

Amazing! We had a fancy wedding, and this was one of the best parts! All of my guest told me how much they loved the food! Bill was excellent helping me create the menu that I was looking for, and was very helpful and professional. I would highly recommend him. He was a little pricy, but that was probably because of our extremely over the top menu, and he needed many staff members not only for set up, but we also chose to have everything prepared in front of the guest. It provided extra entertainment for the guest, while they still got everyone through the food line quickly. My only regret is not having enough time to really sit down and enjoy the food myself!!

I did not originally want a caterer, but Blue Moon did an excellent job at our wedding. They even helped me to recycle as much as possible and sorted it for us. It was a big stress relief to have them do the food and bar tending.

From the moment I sat down to discuss my wedding reception it was clear this company knows it's parties! Recommendations were made that fit the style of our wedding. Our wedding was in my husband's hometown and this company had worked there a lot and had the experience to fit the menu to my guests preferences. They were on time, the service was great, the food was so beautiful some photos made it into my wedding album! The staff was appropriately dressed and the owner made sure to ask me if I was happy really quickly after food began being served. And yes, yes I was!
