Blue Pete’s is the perfect place to have a wedding! Not only is it beautiful, the staff is extremely helpful and communicative, and the food is out of this world! Our friends and family are still raving about the food! We did a brunch wedding in June 2023 and have nothing negative to say about the experience what so ever. Dawn was so accommodating to requests and answered all our questions timely. She also made me, nervous bride, feel so calm throughout and especially day of. We highly recommend this venue for all of the above reasons and it’s affordability. 10 out of 10!

I wish I could give endless stars! We have been coming here for years, and it was perfect for our wedding! Dawn was amazing and kept things moving the day of and offering guidence and reassurance up until the big day. The staff was great, every single one of them. The food was amazing, all of guests raved about it. The setting is breathtaking, again the guests just loved it. Everyone had a great time, it was one of the absolute best days of our lives, we wish we could do it again! We did the platinum package, which includes a happy hour for the guests, and a DJ (who was awesome), plus many other great all inclusive items. It took a lot of work off of me, who did all of the planning. It has been a month and we have not stopped talking about that day, looking at pictures and reliving the treasured memories with our friends and family. We had about 70 guests, and were outside, everyone had a blast, the adults and the kids (of which there were many!). The ONLY thing I would change, and it is NOT even a big deal, is that we could have settle up before the wedding day. My husband had to go deal with that at the very end of the night, after drinking all day (we had a bus for transportation) had to call banks because it was such a large sum. I don't know if it is an option or not, we didn't think to ask. But if your considering Blue Pete's just do it, book it!! You will not regret it. Photo credit: Thirty Three Photography

I can truly say our wedding at Blue Pete’s reception far exceeded our expectations! The food was incredible, the drinks were excellent and Dawn made the planning process so easy! Dawn is professional and brings a calm energy to a time that can feel stressful. Blue Pete’s is the best venue we could have imagined, the views of the water and the willow trees made the perfect backdrop for all of our photos. They keep the property so beautiful and well maintained it is clear that the owners truly love what they do! All of my older relatives talked about how they had their prom dinner there back in the 80’s and they all spoke highly about how the building and the property is better than ever. We are so grateful we chose Blue Pete’s for our special day!

My husband and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We live out of state in Texas, and our family traveled from 3 different states. All of the arrangements were made by email and phone. The venue was perfect and the staff delightful. We took pictures by the water, ate a full meal inside, and then transitioned outside under a pavilion for musical entertainment.

Blue Pete's is a wonderful venue to host your special day. I attended my best friend's wedding here and was impressed by the great food, attention to detail, and attentive staff! Loving my experience, I used them to host my graduation party. It was so nice not to have to worry about anything and just show up to have fun. You will not get a better deal! To top it all off, the location is beautiful!

Blue Pete's was a lifesaver for our wedding planning! We had a difficult time getting a hold of companies, and finding remotely reasonable and transparent quotes. Blue Pete's was easy to communicate with, informative and kind. Super reasonable price for the amount of food we were able to offer our guests, great customer service. 10/10 would recommend!

We hosted a rehearsal dinner for 27 followed by a Cocktail Welcome Party for 90 Guests.
Dawn and Cheyenne were GREAT! We communicated well and they always responded to any email or phone call. Cheyenne was especially attentive to all details. Can’t thank her enough for her assistance!!

We came to Blue Pete’s almost at the last minute to provide food for my son’s wedding. We were also trying to figure out a place for the rehearsal dinner. My husband and I went to Blue Pete’s for dinner one Sunday and it dawned on us why not Blue Pete’s. We asked our waitress if there was anyone available to talk to and Dawn was there and sat with us at our table. She explained what they could provide for a rehearsal dinner and then she mentioned that they also cater. It was a no brainer. We got it all done the following week. The date was available and the rest is history. So kind - so patient, which when you are in a panic that’s the most important part. Thank you Blue Pete’s, Dawn and her Team!!! Awesome job!! We received so many completed at the wedding in all the food provided.

My father passed away not too long ago, and the family was looking for a place to hold a celebration of life memorial event. After researching and comparing a number of venue options, we enthusiastically decided to go with Blue Pete’s. It was simply the best place and the best value for our needs. And after all, our family farm is right nearby in the Pungo area!
Blue Pete’s has long been a tried and true dining destination and a place of celebration for locals and visitors alike. Additionally, we had held my father's Navy retirement party at Blue Pete's 35 years ago! That had gone so well, the decision was easy!
I'm happy to say the celebration of my father's life went beautifully. On the day of the event, the staff at Blue Pete's greeted us with familiar hospitality. Everything was set up and ready to go, and the food (we chose a buffet) was spectacular. Everyone enjoyed themselves, sharing stories and mingling in the casual and welcoming atmosphere. We had plenty of privacy, having reserved a dedicated space for the event. But if you know Blue Pete's, you know that the outdoor decks and patios are just as much a draw! Situated on the water in the wooded area around Back Bay, the expansive and varied outdoor seating area is perfect for stretching your legs and enjoying the natural surroundings.
At the end of the day, we were very pleased that we had chosen Blue Pete's once again. The friendly, professional staff and the welcoming atmosphere made what might have been a somber occasion into a true celebration of life. I’d recommend it for any event or celebration.

Dawn is awesome to work with! She is calm and easygoing! Everything went perfectly, and the guests loved the coconut shrimp! Blue Pete's offers affordable packages, and we stuck to their preferred vendor's list and were overjoyed with everything. We love going to Blue Pete's for dinner, so it was wonderful to be able to have our wedding there. The outside is beautiful, and the location eliminates the need for decorations or frills. They also provide all of the seating, dining, food, alcohol, and dishes. It took away a great amount of stress, knowing they provided everything! Even if you don't have your wedding with them, please consider going for a meal! We also love taking our boat up to the restaurant because it is on the water and they have docks.

From the moment we saw the grounds at Blue Pete's we knew it was a perfect setting for our semi-formal, elegant, fall wedding (10/22/22)! We met Dawn, and it was as if the planets aligned! First of all, Dawn has incredible expertise in event management and planning. Her confidence and warm, welcoming presence made us feel very comfortable with making such a big decision. Second, the packages she and the rest of the Blue Pete's family has crafted are AMAZING. You can design your perfect scenario with their incredible outdoor spaces. The wedding packages offer affordable to everything-in-one selection! We chose a package that included staff on hand throughout our event, the cocktail hour (it was INCLUDED!!), a buffet with THREE entree selections (so everyone was happy and well-fed), chairs, champagne, food for the bride and groom upon arrival (before the event), A DJ, cake service, a signature drink, and so on.... The staff were so friendly and accommodating and they really go above and beyond to make your day as special to them as it is to you. The food is beyond good - it is far superior to any traditional wedding fare. But the ambience is 100% unmatched! I give Blue Pete's a 10/10 and highly recommend this choice for your venue! It has the atmosphere, the staff, the food, drinks - and they are welcoming to just about anything else you want to add, JUST ASK! We really felt like we got extra bang for our bucks, and the care and attention you would want on your day. Truly, it was one of the easiest decisions to make among the plethora of wedding planning decisions you have to make - and the one I feel most proud of. Blue Pete's nailed it!!!

They were so easy and wonderful to work with! Within a few emails, I had all of my questions answered, the restaurant booked, and a menu selected. I even had my choice of where inside or outside I wanted my rehearsal dinner to be! The food was AMAZING and accommodated all dietary restrictions (my own included), and the staff were friendly and helpful! It is a far drive, but SO WORTH IT! I can't recommend enough!!

I have had multiple events recently and wish that I realized Blue Pete’s did off site catering much sooner. Starting from communication regarding my needs with helpful, honest suggestions to the actual day with very satisfied guests. Their professionalism, skill, and creativity were impeccable. The presentation was amazing from cocktail hour to dinner, as well as, great flavor. Many of the guests requested business cards! Dawn was great to work with and she even had her chef with her. They were very attentive throughout the entire event. Whether my needs are small or large in the future, Blue Pete’s will be my go to!! Thank you again for a great weekend with zero stress!

In September 2023 we held our son and daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner at Blue Pete’s. From beginning to end we were pleased. Dawn provided options and pricing and then allowed us to come in to tour the facility and discuss everything from food to table design. Our group was able to gather in a private room where we could enjoy friends and family in a more intimate setting. Dawn was there every step of the way for any questions that came up and the wait staff was timely, professional and personable. We chose a buffet option which included hors d’oeuvres, entrees, side dishes and a dessert platter. The food was exceptional, and everyone raved about the entire experience, I would absolutely recommend Blue Pete’s for everyday dining or any special event.

Blue Pete’s catered my rehearsal dinner as well as my cocktail hour (pretty last minute) and completely blew it out of the water! Our rehearsal dinner was PHENOMENAL. They created the most beautiful and delicious grazing tables for my cocktail hour, that were more than I could have ever asked for.
Dawn their catering manager was AMAZING to work with and handled everything so seamlessly. We received the most professional and amazing service. I could not recommend them more. If I could wind back time I would have had them cater my entire wedding. Blue Pete’s will not disappoint! They deserve well more than 5 stars!

Dawn and the staff made everything from reservation to setup so easy for our sister’s baby shower. I planned my sister’s shower from out of state and it was pretty easy due to their experience and expertise. The food was fantastic and the waitstaff kept tabs on refills,etc. We never had to remind them to bring more food and drinks out and even our picky toddlers ate the delicious food served!

My *husband* and I had our wedding reception at Blue Pete’s in early June 2023. I was an indecisive bride and I had never planned an event like this before. I was so fortunate to have Dawn, their event planner. I didn’t have to pay extra for Dawn’s guidance, advice, and event planning skills…honestly she was kind of like a bonus wedding planner/day of coordinator.
The day before my wedding I dropped off the random selection of decorations I had collected and asked Dawn to take creative liberties because I was overwhelmed. She worked her magic, and the place looked so beautiful! I received so many compliments from guests about the decor and the food -delicious! It was so good my husband and I took doggie bags home.
The staff was kind and they cheered on our party. We were having so much fun that other customers kept peeking over to smile and say congratulations. I am incredibly thankful to Dawn and “the flock” at Blue Pete’s. Not only did they put together a beautiful event that we will never forget, but they made it affordable!
Before I chose Blue Pete’s, I called several venues and they all wanted to nickel and dime me to death because they figure a bride will pay if she wants to make her dream wedding come true. Dawn generously shared several decor items from her own collection and didn’t charge me a single cent extra - any other place would have charged me by the hour to rent a tea light holder - sad but true!
ALSO because Blue Pete’s is on such a beautiful piece of land, we were able to get some gorgeous pictures. Now that it’s over, I wish I could do it again because Dawn made everything seem so effortless. My reception at Blue Pete’s was one of the best nights of my life and I will never forget it!
