Everyone at Blue Pit put in a lot of hard work to make sure our day was everything we had hoped for, and it honestly could not have gone better. We even had many compliments from our guests about how amazing the staff, food, and location itself was. If you’re looking for something low-key that still has a great vibe with good food and good drinks, this is the place.

We ended up not hiring a wedding planner/day of coordinator for a number of reasons, but one of the big ones being that Cara was all over it and took so much care about making sure it was an amazing day for us and our guests. Food & Drink: The food is DELICIOUS and our guests loved it. I had read other reviews where their guests called it the best wedding food they had ever had, and our guests said the same thing! As is usually the case my husband and I barely had time to eat a plate during our wedding, but fortunately we can go back to Blue Pit any time to relive our wedding menu (huge perk!). Also the team put together some delicious signature cocktails for us and had an amazing full bar selection. Venue: We wanted a really comfortable and sociable venue for our reception. Our guests loved bouncing around the two floors of the restaurant and hanging out on the patio. It was perfect for lots of mingling and random dance circles popping up. We specifically didn't want a "blank canvas" type venue where we would have to spend a ton on decorations, furnishings, and place settings, and we were able to focus on what was most important to us. Blue Pit Team: Amazing vibes all around. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and fast, and really cared about making it a great day for us. HUGE thank you to Cara & the Blue Pit team for creating a perfect, delicious, lovely, and FUN wedding reception for us. It was beyond all our expectations.

to the headcount. Guests of all ages raved about the delicious food (I am still hearing about the beans!) The upstairs room was perfect for a party that included several small children, and staff even provided quarters for the little ones to play with the downstairs vending machine, which they loved! Our bartender was so attentive and made sure everyone had drinks, food and a great time, offering vegetarian alternatives if we wanted them. We left with tons of leftovers and the price was very affordable for an open bar package. I can’t say enough good things about Blue Pit and the events team and would use them for any event without question.

We didn’t want a traditional wedding, just great food and good drinks (bonus that they are so involved in dog rescues). Throughout the year Cara was so responsive to my question and flexible to meet our wishes. The day of the wedding went on without a hitch. The food was AMAZING, the drinks were delicious, and the service was top notch! The food was refilled constantly and the staff was walking around with specialty drinks and beer buckets were always full of delicious beers. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about the wedding a month later! I couldn’t imagine not having our wedding at Blue Pit! Thank you to Cara and all the staff!

When I first inquired about having a wedding reception here I never expected Cara to basically be a wedding coordinator! Cara was incredibly responsive, day and night, if I had questions or needed anything. She and her staff were personable, attentive, and helped create the fun party atmosphere we wanted.
