nd and I got engaged, I knew the first person I had to call was Vanna! She is the best at listening to your vision, understanding what is most important to you and bringing it to life with the details, colors, linens, and florals. I was grateful to have her by my side every step of the way! From helping us find our gorgeous venue, Villa Antonia that fit my Mexican/Italian dream wedding, to helping secure all of our vendors - photographer, videographer, caterer, florist, DJ... Oh and we did it all in 7 months. My whole vendor team was ecstatic when I told them I was working with Blue Sparrow Events, due to their precision and perfected timeline. Perfected it was! The day of ran so smoothly, Alex with Blue Sparrow did an amazing job on my wedding day. She went above and beyond as Vanna stepped in her role as MOH/wedding planner. My wedding day was truly everything I could have imagined and more. I cant thank them enough for making it an unforgettable day for myself and for all my guest.

The wedding weekend included several events spaced out over a three day period: a rehearsal dinner and welcome party on the first night, the wedding and reception on the second, and a farewell party on the third. Vanna was very efficient in guiding us through the preparations for the ceremony which included small children and a dog no less. The wedding day activities were beautifully choreographed by all of the Blue Sparrow personnel who were at once charming, polite, and attractive. This was no easy task and there were many activities to coordinate including hair & make up sessions, lunch, the wedding ceremony, a short cocktail party immediately after the wedding, and the actual reception. The entire day was wonderful, flawless, and free of any glitches whatsoever. We cannot say enough about the photographers, the band, and the caterering staff all of whom contributed to the success of the wedding. The last function of the wedding festivities was a "Farewell Party" which was a terrific and relaxing way to complete the weekend. The venues that we selected, with the help of Vanna and Blue Sparrow, for the multiple events were just perfect and fit the character of the bride and groom. To sum up, if we heard it once, we heard it fifteen times from our friends......"best wedding ever!" Thank you, Vanna and Blue Sparrow!

Our goal was to be able to soak up every moment of the day without stressing about details, plans gone wrong, etc. We consulted with a few different planners, but as soon as we met with Vanna, we knew she was the one. Vanna is a friendly, smiling face, and honestly a great gal pal to have by your side during each step of the planning process. Vanna has impeccable organization, attention to detail, and professionalism – and is always one step ahead. She has an extensive planning timeline broken out in phases, so you know what to expect month by month leading up to the wedding. She also has awesome shopping guides and other resources to tap into, so you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Vendor selection was super overwhelming to us, so we leaned on Vanna to curate a short list for us in category. She handled every part of the process – creating the short list tailored to what we were looking for, compiling all the necessary details to make a decision, setting up any meet & greets, and negotiating to the final contract. In the final stages before the wedding, Vanna puts together an 8-10 page document that details every possible thing you can think of – contacts for vendors, timeline by the minute, ceremony details, seating chart, etc. – and shares it with all of our vendors. She makes it look like a breeze, but she really connects all the vendors together to make sure it’s a smooth day of everyone working together. The design phase with Vanna is so much fun! We never had a true ‘vision’ – we had more of a general aesthetic in mind, and she was able to turn it into a reality. She has so many creative ideas that I never would have thought of. The transformation of our reception space was seriously unbelievable. Every last detail was so thoughtful and executed perfectly. One of the top compliments we received from our guest was how beautiful everything was (hello black dance floor and floral installation!). We took Vanna’s advice for the flow & timeline of our day, and it was a 10/10. We worked in both a private dinner and a private last dance, so we had intentional moments just the two of us – but, we also had plenty of time to spend with all of our guests and hit the dance floor to soak up the party. She kept us hydrated and fed – including packing a to-go box of our late night food & desserts in our car that night. Life saver. Vanna is such a trusted partner – she gives incredible recommendations and advice, but always respected every decision we made. She truly came to life on our wedding day – in her element and getting things done. I honestly can’t imagine our day without her. Our moms and my bridesmaids are still raving about Vanna a month later. She’s darn good at her job, and you would be so lucky to have her by your side on your big day (and for the several months leading up!). I can’t recommend Blue Sparrow enough!

h a few. Before speaking with Vanna we had a consult with another extremely talented and raved about planner. Like I said, she was great, but she was not Vanna! After our consultation with Vanna, we knew we needed her on our team! Her passion, excitement, personality, and genuineness was so apparent and welcoming. We had planned a beautiful wedding for March of 2020 but due to covid we had to reschedule. We rescheduled for March 2021. The extra year ended up being a blessing in disguise and we were able to make more upgrades and change some (alot) of details. I feel like Vanna helped us plan 2 weddings at this point! However, Vanna was always right by our side answering any and all questions. She is the best friend you never knew you needed!! She is completely on your side and is your greatest advocate and advisor. She could fully see our vision before we could. She made realistic suggestions. She helped us stay on track and on budget (even speaking up and politely telling pushy vendors "no" for us). Her attention to detail and level of organization is unmatched. I could go on forever...but I won’t. I’ve seen multiple people mention this, but it is truly unreal how she can bring together a dream vision when you can’t even fully describe it to her. Fast forward to the weekend of our wedding and we have torrential downpours and flash flood warnings. In any other situation, I would have been a mess, but after working with Vanna and her team for the past year, I had absolute confidence that they were handling everything and they did! Tents were erected, rain plans enacted and then changed multiple times as the weather changed throughout the day. An hour before the ceremony the rain started to clear and plans changed again. The most amazing thing about Vanna and her team is that I didn't have to worry about a single thing and my guests had no idea that the plan that was executed wasn't the plan we had from the beginning. Everything was beautiful, the transitions were seamless and it was perfect!

Vanna and Mia made every aspect of my vision come to life, and more. I frequently found myself just saying “you pick!” to things because I just knew that she would make the right choice for us. When we started planning the wedding, there was no covid. Halfway through when covid struck, of course, I hit panic mode. Vanna was my therapist during this time and immediately calmed my nerves. She knew all of the local laws and regulations regarding covid and weddings, worked closely with the venue coordinator to stay on top of their particular rules and requirements and all the while keeping my hopes and wishes at the forefront of the planning. Finally, two weeks before the wedding we had the guest count and the layout finished. It was at the time that we had an unexpected influx of RSVP’s! Vanna and Mia, calm cool and collected as always, went out to our venue multiple times on their own to re-do the floor plan to accommodate the extra guests and make it just as perfect as it was before. By the end of the wedding, all of our bridesmaids and groomsmen loved Vanna just as much as we did! At the end of the night, she came in to give my husband his tuxedo jacket that he had left in the reception area and ALL of our friends started chanting her name- It was epic! Vanna, Mia, and the Bluesparrow Events team are single handedly the best, most organized, most creative, sweetest, most put-together group of people I have ever met. initially reached out because I saw how beautiful their Instagram page was but after my first over the phone meeting, I knew I made the best decision of the whole wedding process. Vanna truly listens and walks you through every single step. She lays things out so perfectly so you won’t miss a step. Her readiness to help is unbelievable and her design skills are out of this world. I chose a venue 3hrs from my home so most of our planning had to be done via phone/email and let me just say I not once felt stressed or overwhelmed and I truly believe it’s all because of her and her team. I wanted to hire the moment I met her, even though we weren't engaged yet. At the start of the process Vanna sent over a guide full of recommendations from timeline guidelines, vendor references, and even tipping recommendations. She was so supportive throughout the process and was available for the smallest and the biggest decisions. She also did an amazing job managing vendor communication, especially the month of the wedding. She took over and made sure to prioritize us (me + the groom) not having to worry about the stress of planning so we could enjoy the last weeks of being engaged. Another reason why Vanna stands out is because of her attention to detail and her ability to make decisions in the moment. vent/project management in my career I was immediately on the fence about even working with a wedding planner who could meet my high expectations. Vendors in general struggle to set expectations, be responsive, understand needs, communicate timely, document and organize communication but not Vanna. She does ALL OF IT PERFECTLY. She gets to know you, break down your wants/needs, understands what vendors can accommodate and bring your dream to life. She has a taste for design, she knows what will look classy and elegant or fun and vibrant. She took all of our ideas and crazy asks from fireball jello shots to drag queens, cotton candy cocktails and everything else and made it happen. She was incredibly organized and I was so impressed with her project management skills, it was insane! At the end of the day, she made us feel at ease, and not worried, as we went through the process and on the day of. She's become a friend and someone who will always hold a special place in our lives. I just cannot say enough CHOOSE VANNA. planning an enjoyable process. My wife and I hired BSE for the full-service planning and design. She pulled everything off in about 6 months. Working with Vanna is so easy because she is an extremely organized, an incredible listener, and genius visionary. She was able to take implement my wife's vision on a granular level to the point that every detail of our wedding from the ceremony, all the way down to the votives (YES-she taught me what a votive was!) said something about who we are as individuals and as a couple. She was on top of every aspect and was able to anticipate the questions and concerns of the other vendors at the outset so that nothing was left in question. As a groom, I was hesitant to be involved in the planning meetings. But Vanna knew exactly when to include me and when to (politely) let me know that I could tune out. I was grateful for that because it allowed me to support my wife through the stressful planning process without getting in over my head (or bored out of my mind!). In the end, I never saw my wife happier than on our wedding day. It has been over two months and still not a day goes by that she doesn't bring up a memory from that day. If this all sounds like a typical review, I should note that we planned the wedding from over 1,000 miles away. My wife and I live in Denver and got married in Austin. Additionally, Vanna had never planned a wedding at our venue (Villa Antonia) before. So, Vanna didn't just execute the perfect wedding, she did so at a venue she was (1) unfamiliar with, and (2) by working around the schedule of two busy attorneys who live in a different timezone. She was integral in helping schedule weekend meetings with vendors and late evening Skype calls to talk about the wedding. Vanna can literally do it all. I mean it when I say our wedding would not have been possible without Vanna and her BSE team. I could not recommend someone more.

I had words to describe what I wanted on my wedding day, but almost no inkling as to how to make it happen. I wanted elegant, romantic and intimate. Vanna knew exactly which vendors would work with our personalities, she was flexible when we wanted things to be changed (even last minute), she was INCREDIBLY KIND AND CONSISTENT. She does not leave any page left unturned. Vanna is so mature, professional and an incredible visionary. My husband and I both often worked late nights and Vanna would accommodate us with early morning and late night calls. She also executed everything incredibly, even considering the fact that we were planning the wedding from Denver, Colorado. When you work so closely with someone who deeply cares about what they do and want you to feel completely satisfied and fulfilled - the only way to feel is like you are planning your wedding with one of your best friends. Lastly, Vanna is alway certain to put the bride and grooms desires above all because the way she says it - "It's your day, you get to do what you want!"

Vanna and blue sparrow events was hands down the most essential part of what turned out to be an amazing wedding night. It alleviated 99% of my stress to have her there. I’m very much a “do it myself” kind of person but I had no idea how much I needed Vanna. She knows weddings like a chef knows food. She covered every base, was completely on top of every detail and most importantly, made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. She truly went above and beyond. I wish Vanna could run my life. Take it from an initial skeptic of wedding planners, Vanna and blue sparrow events were HANDS DOWN the best wedding decision I ever made (besides the actual marrying of my fiancé part)

over martinis downtown. She did not disappoint. From the moment we met, I appreciated her "take charge" attitude, attention to detail and organization. I have a demanding career and a husband (then fiancé ) on active duty overseas in the Army. I had no desire to spend hours on Pinterest or interviewing potential vendors. What I needed and requested from Vanna was help editing and executing my vision and a team of trusted vendors hand selected from her personal experience to help her do it. Throughout the entire process Vanna was my rock. Her timelines and task lists kept us on top of all deadlines and important decisions. When I was feeling all alone in the world with a deployed fiancé , Vanna would always be there to check in. When I couldn't get away from work to make decisions on linens and table service, my sweet Vanna went for me and kept me part of the process through FaceTime and photos. My biggest concern in hiring a wedding planner was having someone force ideas or suggestions on me or try to fit me into some sort of wedding mold. With Vanna, that couldn't be further from the truth. Vanna is a "yes" woman! She is creative and warm and willing to spend hours down the rabbit hole of whatever idea you have to see if it is possible. She will move mountains to tailor your vision into reality (even if it involves library books and face painters). Her professionalism and communication are both beyond her years. Vanna was worth every penny. My big day was absolutely magical and even better, I had zero stress or worry. All I had to do was live in the moment and be in love.

Vanna made sure we had a bullet proof timeline, that all of our vendors were on the same page, and in the end that all of our decorations and design choices were put together flawlessly. ake sure our special day didn't have a single hiccup and also so I didn't spend the day stressed out. I truly knew with her there I didn't have to worry about a thing. There are so many decisions that have to be made along the way, more than you can imagine, and she helped me make nearly every one of them. She talked me out of bad ideas and coached me through the ones where a decision seemed impossible. She keeps you organized and focused on what's really important, because it's easy to get lost. Her services were worth every penny. Through it all she also became a friend. I could not recommend her more. Two weeks prior to the wedding, Vanna emailed our vendors and let them know that she would be their point of contact going forward; the few questions that came up from vendors were passed quickly along to us for answers. On the day of the wedding, Vanna and her team took charge and executed our dream wedding flawlessly. I highly recommend her!
