If I could leave 0 stars, I would. They get one star because they were cheaper than any other venue, and it turned out pretty. The rest was a headache. After we signed the contract, communication with Zoe Cooper became difficult. She wouldn't respond to simple questions on email until we would remind her a week later. She was very kind but didn't seem to always have a grasp on what was going on. We were told there would be a bar so we assumed it would be for the whole night. 4 weeks before the wedding, Zoe mentioned the bar would only be for 4 hours of our choosing as per their liquor license. This was not the case. The liquor license allowed for more hours, but we had to pay for each additional hour past 4 hours. Also, do NOT get a room block here. It was terrible. Sometimes people's bookings did not go through and, sometimes people were booked 2 separate rooms when they only tried to book one. My mom tried calling Zoe, and she sent mom to the front desk manager, Amy. Amy was the worst possible hospitality employee. She was extremely rude to my mom. At the end of the call, my mom asked Amy to call her back when the rooms were figured out so they could go through them again. Amy something to the effect of, "I will absolutely not be doing that." There is terrible communication between everyone in the building. We never got the rooms correctly situated even though they said they would fix them several times. The tables in the reception room are not 8 foot rounds like we were told. They are closer to 5 ft in diameter. They did give us early access into the room to set up which was nice. Don't book here if you expect great service. There's a reason it's cheap to book.
The Bluemont was super easy to work with and set up everything just how we wanted it! Their bartenders were excellent and kept our bar moving quickly- which was super important to us. We experienced a lot of rain the night after our wedding the Bluemont was quick to help our guests who had some leaking with refunds.
