It was a pleasure to have Bluewater Kings play at our wedding. I had a great time planning with Athena. She was responsive and had so much good advice and amazing recommendations...
. The band was incredible. They sounded great and got everyone on the dance floor. Our guests cannot stop talking about how great they were, both the music and the talented singers and musicians. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our wedding amazing. I can't recommend them highly enough!
Amazing band and service!!! Everyone raved about them after the wedding. Super attentive and helpful before the wedding and very organized. Highly recommend!!!
Fantastic band for a solid price. They kept the floor GOING, they honored all our requests while mixing in music in the same genre, and absolutely killed our first dance song that ...
they learned from scratch for us. Would 100% recommend this band for your event!
This band was fantastic to work with and brought a fantastic group of artists to perform at my wedding. Athena with Bluewater Kings Band was very easy to coordinate and contact in ...
the event of any questions. The band hosts regular showcase performances of their artists which was nice to get a feel for their live performance and not just watching a YouTube video. The band has a sizable repertoire of songs and went above and beyond in multiple music categories from Motown, to classic rock, to pop, they were able to perform it all very well. We were blown away with the quality of performance. There is an option to request a special song if you do not see it on their preset list which is very nice if you have a specific request.
We cannot say enough great things about Bluewater Kings Band; they were phenomenal from start to finish. Danny, the band manager we worked with, was fantastic. He was professional,...
organized, timely, and had great communication skills. I knew right away we were in good hands after meeting Danny at one of their showcases. The band was one of my personal favorite parts of our wedding; I hardly left the dance floor because the music was THAT good. Athena was our lead singer and MC for the night and let me tell you, SHE CRUSHED IT. She had everyone dancing and singing along all night. The entire band was so fun and brought great energy; they made our wedding even more magical. We received a ton of great feedback about the band. We highly recommend Bluewater Kings Band!
We had the Kings for our daughter’s wedding.
Absolutely great. Perfect volume, perfect song list, stunning musicianship!!!!!
The Bluewater Kings Band was absolutely phenomenal! Their set list was incredible, the energy unmatched, and they kept the dance floor packed all night long. It was such a gift to ...
work directly with their producer—having one point of contact made everything seamless and stress-free. They read the crowd perfectly and made sure every transition felt effortless. We still have guests telling us it was the best wedding band they’ve ever seen.
We had the BEST experience with Bluewater Kings Band from start to finish! Booking was so easy, with tons of options to customize—band size, instruments, and fun add-ons to make th...
e night feel personal. We went with the 6-piece band and couldn’t be happier with that choice.
Communication was seamless the whole way through—Danny was always quick to respond and never left us hanging. On the big day, everything was absolutely perfect: the uplighting, the MC, the music, and the band’s professionalism. They truly set the tone for an unforgettable celebration.
One of the coolest things they offer (that we wish we had taken advantage of) is the chance to attend one of their local shows before your wedding to hear them live. Such a great touch!
We highly, highly recommend Bluewater Kings Band to any couple looking for a wedding band that delivers above and beyond.
We hired the Bluewater Kings band for our wedding in Alpena, MI this past June. They played during the cocktail hour and reception. All of our guests loved them and we did not get ...
off the dance floor the whole evening. They are so worth the price!! Tony was a joy to work with too, he communicated effectively and made sure that we heard all of our favorite music.
The Bluewater Kings Band was absolutely phenomenal and truly made our wedding unforgettable. From the very first song to the final dance, their energy was unmatched. The band read ...
the crowd perfectly, kept the momentum going all night, and by the end of the reception, the dance floor was still full. The MC did an incredible job keeping everything flowing smoothly, and the band was so respectful of our preferences, curating a setlist that felt completely us. We’ve had so many guests tell us it was the best wedding band they’ve ever heard, and we absolutely agree!
BWK rocked the house! Incredible vocalists, talented musicians, and high energy! Communication leading up to the event was easy and seamless. If having a high-quality band is a pri...

Bluewater Kings Band came recommended by our venue. We do not live locally so we were nervous to book a band we had never heard performed before. It turned out great. The band soun...
ded great and the band members were fun and engaging. Planning was pretty easy and they didn't need much info from us which was great because we were pretty overwhelmed with wedding planning as a whole. They did one custom song for our first dance which sounded great. The only bummer was that we were told our 6-piece band would include 1 horn and there was no horn on our wedding day :(
I cannot speak highly enough about this group. Their booking manager, Athena, was a treat to work with. I told her what I was thinking and she advised appropriately so that we ha...
d the best entertainment for our annual client holiday party at the DAC. And the group that arrived to perform was so professional. They arrived early so we could review the run of show and then made sure to connect during the performance time to make sure everything met our expectations. Will very much work with them again next year.
Bluewater Kings Band is just the best. They are professional, communicative, and most importantly, supremely talented. All of our guests were blown away by the music at our wedding...
, and we couldn’t be happier with the energy and overall fun they brought to our special day. You will not regret hiring them to get the party started!

arning a couple songs for us and also brought a great mix of tunes to the reception based on our suggestions. A MAJOR shoutout to Theo “Gridiron” Spight for the impromptu “forward down the field” song. A definite highlight for us.
We had a magical experience with the Bluewater Kings Band.
It started out with Tony providing such a consultative approach - helping us understand what is right for us, our vision...
, and our venue. We live in Chicago and were getting married in Detroit. Tony let us know there was a showcase in Chicago where we could see the musicians play and get an idea of what we were getting into. It was such a fabulous start to the process.
On the actual day of the wedding, they truly kept the party going. If they were playing, people were on the dance floor. Not only did the lead singer make my husband and I feel so special by bringing us up with him, he played to the audience and was working the crowd. It made everyone want to keep on dancing!!
Execution to lead up - everything was top notch. If you are looking for a great band to play at your event, you HAVE to book these musicians. You will not regret it.
Thank you Tony and crew for making our wedding so unbelievably special and unforgettable. I still have people messaging me about the band and how incredible they were!!
My experience with this band was phenomenal. They are real professionals. They played amazing music and made the dance floor so fun! I am Albanian so I also had hired a DJ to play ...
in between the band for some traditional music and the band worked with him so well. So thankful to them and will recommend them to everyone! Danny was my main point of contact and he was fantastic !

ur reception. All our guests went out of their way to share how much fun they had on the dance floor. The band can play a variety of genres but since a majority of our guests were in their 20s/30s we requested music that they’d be most familiar with and the band did not disappoint! The cherry on top was how respectful and kind they all were. As the bride, they made sure I was having a great time! My husband said he felt the same way.

me they played! We had to step out for some photos and missed some of our must-see songs and they were able to replay them seamlessly. Thank you so much Blue water kings!
The band was good overall but was super disappointed with the MCing who was also the main female singer. She introduced us using the wrong names? She hardly sang the majority of th...
e time. Additionally, because we are a multicultural wedding, we had asked specifically for dedicated DJing of the playlist we had put together of Spanish music they couldn’t sing. Nobody was there during that time to attend to us or even volume issues. For the cost and time we spent communicating our needs there were a few key marks that were definitely missed and were disappointing. Lastly, I followed up with this feedback via email after our wedding two weeks ago and never got a response from the main person, Tony.
Our wedding last weekend at The Henry Ford museum was a blast, all thanks to the amazing band! Each vocalist had such a great voice, and they succeeded in getting all of our relati...
ves out on the dance floor, even the ones I've never seen dance before! They were great with communication throughout the planning process and I loved using their online planning page to help coordinate our schedule and requests. Plus, being able to add ceremony musicians and a jazz trio for the cocktail hour was so easy and convenient through the same company! Highly recommend using Bluewater Kings for your wedding! So worth it!

We attended a live showcase to hear the band before booking, and then while planning, they were so responsive and quick to answer questions and offer suggestions. Our final planning call with Danny was so detailed and well organized and made us feel really well taken care of.
Our guests loved the jazz cocktail hour trio! We got so many compliments! During the reception, we loved our MC, Athena, who did a wonderful job and brought such a happy energy to our reception. Finally, the band did an incredible job playing all night long. Band members seemed genuinely happy and like they were having fun celebrating with us. We and our guests loved it and we feel so lucky to have had them play at our wedding!

urs. From the initial planning process, Tony was responsive, offered his suggestions and organized. The planning process was so much fun as the planning page the band uses is SO easy and user friendly. A few weeks before the wedding, Tony set up a call to review everything in the planning page and he ensured our plans were followed perfectly. We hired the cocktail trio to perform at cocktail hour and our guests raved about how classy and cool it was to have live music at cocktail hour. The band and MC (shoutout Theo!) were just AMAZING the entire night. Our guests were dancing and the floor was packed throughout the night. They played a variety of music to appeal to a variety of ages and truthfully, we couldn't get my 1.5 year old niece off the dance floor! I HIGHLY recommend hiring BKB for your event. :)
Everything was better than I had hoped. We are looking at booking them again!

Additionally, the sound engineer consistently walked around to make sure everything sounded great, which I really appreciated as we had a smaller space and I was concerned about the sound. The band had everyone dancing all night and many guests commented that it was one of the best sets they had ever seen at a wedding. They also provided guitar and jazz trio music for our ceremony and reception. EVERYTHING was wonderful and I would highly, highly recommend this group.

This put us at ease knowing we were protecting our friends and family as much as we could! I would highly recommend BWK!
