to the day of our wedding, Bluewater stood out from everyone else. From the very first conversation, it was clear that they were committed to making our vision a reality while staying within our budget. Their flexibility and creativity were unmatched—they worked with us to craft a menu that felt personal, unique, and absolutely perfect for our celebration.
What really stood out was their innovation. Christina and her team went beyond the usual wedding fare, presenting ideas and options that were fresh, exciting, and tailored to our tastes. Their ability to think outside the box and offer creative suggestions made the entire planning process so much fun.
And the food? Absolutely delicious! From the appetizers to the main courses to the desserts, everything was full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how incredible the food was—it truly became one of the highlights of the day. As you know, wedding food can sometimes be quite blah in either flavor or presentation. One of the most important aspects of our wedding was providing our guests with an incredible meal as food is such an important aspect of our lives. We were able to blend in two culturally different regions of food (Southern Style BBQ and Asian cuisines) in a chic, elevated, and tasteful manner thanks to the Bluewater team. We were able to also provide an entire bar menu rather than focusing on one "signature drink".
On top of all that, the team was professional, organized, and an absolute pleasure to work with. They ensured that everything ran smoothly, so we could relax and enjoy our special day.

Christina is just the kind of person you want around on your wedding day! If you are lucky enough that they are free on your wedding day we definitely recommend going with Christina for wedding planning as well. We already had a planner when we chose our caterer, but even so, Christina provided a TON of support that the wedding planner didn't provide - including mapping out a stellar layout of the reception, design details, and advising on flow.
Christina also made sure we had a special beverage with floral ice cubes that we had been dreaming of but wasn't possible for the big day. Her team brought this to us right after the ceremony so we had a special moment. She also made sure we had a special plate of appetizers brought to us during cocktail hour.
We're still hearing how great the food was from friends and family almost a month later.

Bluewater's food is excellent. Their hors d'oeuvres were so cute on the platter and were delicious (we loved the mini chicken pot pies). And we had a hard time narrowing down to the chicken and fish for entrees because we liked everything we tried so much during the tasting.
Christina is so wonderful and helpful, and she made our day run seamlessly. She helped us in the weeks leading up to the wedding with menu details, room layout, figuring out beverage amounts and getting in touch with our other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page.
On the day of, she was there to help our friend who was officiating our wedding work out kinks minutes before the ceremony, and during the reception she made sure we got food and drinks, and was quick to offer the back of her earring to the bride when hers fell out. She kept things so organized and stopped any potential problems in their tracks.

Event Director Christina and Executive Chef Michael will go well above and beyond any expectations that you may have for your caterer to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for! Pre-COVID, we reached out to them to cater our 200+ person wedding. They put together a beautiful and intimate tasting above a flower shop where Chef Michael came in to explain each course and was receptive and happy to make any changes that we needed for our event. From the instant you meet them, you can tell what an incredible team they have. They were warm, responsive, and both easy to talk to and put us at ease about our decision. But the best part of course...THE FOOD! The appetizers, salad, and main entree all blew us away. Every bite we had we said was the best bite of the meal (and possibly our lives). The crazy part was that for such a special five star meal their pricing was comparable to bigger box-store type caterers. Their amazing service, food, and price made the decision easy and we left our tasting knowing we had found our caterer. When we had to change plans from our big wedding to a small private dinner, it was no problem for Bluewater Kitchen. Not only did they cater our small family dinner, but they provided the venue at their new beautiful cottage event space. They made it so special, setting up the venue with twinkle lights and floating candles. All of our family were blown away by both the food and the amazing service, so much so that the dinner was all they could talk about for months. We can’t wait to work with them for our rescheduled reception in fall 2021. Most wedding meals are meh but this one was really great! From our hors d'oeuvres to dessert we could not have asked for a better meal! And for the BW team, you were are really fabulous. quality of food served, lack of imagination, and inconsistency. Frankly- I always felt like friends and family wasted their money. So I knew that my wedding would be a chance to showcase the one thing I know best: food. I wanted a high end dining experience that felt like a giant dinner party and BWK delivered on all accounts. They created a playful and incredibly delicious 3 course meal, amuse bouche (which played as part of the decor as the place setting), and hors d'oeuvres that spoke to our love story and personalities. They worked with us closely on creating a menu so that it met all dietary needs, dared to be adventurous, and created to this date the best meal I've ever had in my life. We were interested in them for their farm-to-table philosophy but were sold at the tasting- oh my we still dream about it. Their staff gave me all of the confidence I needed, were professional day of, but the real artistry is in the cooking and vision of Chef Michael Kozich. The fact that his wife, Christina, is a wedding planner and business partner made planning and execution seamless. Wish we could do it all again!!!

The result was a menu that featured traditional fare of unusual excellence. The meal was delicious, impressive and homey. Our guests raved! Many wished for more. But that was before they saw the amazing dessert table. Absolutely recommend Bluewater as your wedding caterer

inventiveness of the menu, commitment to sustainability and local sources, and dish execution at scale. It felt like going to a small farm to table restaurant. My wife and I laugh that no one was on the dance floor for the first few songs after our first dance because half of our guests were huddled around the dessert bar.
Christina brought everything together -- she is so low stress, patient, and we didn't have to worry about one thing the entire day (my wife looks for things to worry about). Even as the harshest critics of our own event, we couldn't think of one thing we didn't like or one thing we had to stress about. It all just happened, perfectly.
Everything else was great -- staff was professional and friendly, rentals were easy, and communication was thorough.

r brunch, and BWK also worked with us for the overall event planning. Christina is amazing - super upbeat, incredibly helpful, and always the epitome of professional. I was a very hands-off bride (and I'll admit, sometimes a bit spacey), and Christina did an amazing job putting our vision together. I think it also says a lot that I'm based in China most of the year, but she didn't let a little thing like a 12hr time zone difference stand in her way.
Michael, the head chef and culinary master - words can't describe how delicious and beautiful everything looked and tasted! My biggest regret was not eating more! And we got so many compliments on how amazing the food was! BWK also helped put us in touch with a lot of great vendors that really made the weekend perfect, including the cake - which was truly unique and so so tasty!

Bluewater even created a "crêpe cake" and adorable crêpe station in lieu of a regular wedding cake at our request, and it was such a hit! Working with Christina was such a gift, as she went above and beyond, contributing so much more to our wedding day than I would have expected from a day-of planner. Our guests loved everything, and so many commented on how beautiful and delicious it all turned out. We plan to use them again, and would definitely recommend you reach out to them quickly before they get busy again with wedding season! Especially if you are looking for not your average chicken and salmon dinner options. In addition, we used Christina as our "Day of Coordinator". We chose delicious appetizers for cocktail hour, Home-style dinner with the 72 hour Short Ribs and the Seared Chicken breast with beautiful veggies, with a Vegetarian option ... EVERYONE raved about the food!!!! We also had a Mac and Cheese Bar during dancing .
I do need to rave about Christina. I would have to say we couldn't have had the magic happen without her attention to detail. I highly recommend you choose her to be your "Day Of" Coordinator. She makes sure there is a timeline that makes sure all the vendors are in place, She makes sure you have all you need to make the venue beautiful and she has an amazing staff to make sure the reception is flawless. Most of all, she made sure we were calm/happy and enjoyed every minute.
