Just did a beautiful wedding at Bluff Mountain! Being in the hospitality business for many years I've had the opportunity to work with many great clients and vendors . It is always a pleasure to work with My'Ly Christopher & the team at 3M Creative Consultants. My'Ly is very organized , creative , professional and has been coordinating weddings for 20+ years. Working with such an experienced group of coordinators makes our job so much easier.
We look forward to working at Bluff Mountain again soon!
There are no words for the hard work, dedication, and planning that these women will accomplish to make one of the most important days of your life just that.....PERFECT. There is little that this venue WON'T do to make your day absolutely AMAZING. Anything you need: DJ, FOOD & SERVERS, PHOTOGRAPHY, A PLACE FOR THE WEDDING PARTY TO GET READY, and MORE....this venue does it all for you! All you have to do is show up!
I can’t say enough good things. We had such an amazing day at Bluff. The staff was so amazing and accommodated any request we had. I wouldn’t have changed anything about our wedding. Do yourself a favor and book them, you won’t regret it and the amazing views.
While the venue itself is beautiful and the price is right for an elopement, we found the proprietor and his wife to be hard to deal with and not personable. The night of our elopement we left our dinner to take a few pics on our own outside and when we came back, the meal was gone. Our wedding cake had been packaged up as well. When we addressed them about it they told us we could call and get pizza delivered 😡 it was a terrible experience and they made no amends for it. It was clear we were being rushed out even though we were the only couple on site and the event location is where they live. In addition, the photography was impersonal and felt rushed and not as photo journalist as we’d seen online and we learned there was another photographer that works with them that we weren’t able to use.
I’d hope they would work more on connecting with clients, ensuring all of their needs are met and appointed a liaison who’s more pleasant as it’s the most important day of our lives.
The venue was perfect and beautiful! I loved my flowers and everyone at the venue was so professional and punctual. They had every detailed handled on the day and I had no worries! Photography was amazing and I am so thankful for how wonderfully they captured everything! The weather was perfect and the surrounding property was gorgeous! I definitely had to be persistent about details leading up to the big day, calling and emailing. I think that is because we had a very small wedding and not reception. All in all we are so happy with our wedding day!
Let me just start by saying I was a very hands off bride, I wanted very little part in planning but I expected the dream wedding that I have seen on TLC wedding shows. I decided a mountain wedding and that was really the last decision I truly wanted to make. We found Bluff Mountain on google and contacted Rhonda. I was amazed every step of the road with her hospitality and organization. She planned the wedding just like it was her own and got me to make decision without knowing it. I cannot begin to describe every detail that they had incorporated for our day. Mary and Rick took gorgeous pictures and took the time to make sure that we had every picture we wanted. They captured the joy in everyone’s face. Everyone that came was amazed by the detail.
My wife wanted a mountain wedding, we had no idea where to begin until we found Bluff Mountain. We both work full time jobs and truly had very little time to worry about planning a wedding. Rhonda made the entire planning process super easy. I was amazed when I got there and seen all the small details that I would have never thought to add about. I felt that Rhonda planned the wedding as if it was her own and for that we are grateful. The photographers took some amazing shots! My guys an myself had a great time working with them and they captured perfect candid shots of both my wife and myself. Mary and Rick we thank you for allowing us to see angles of our wedding that we missed. You captured the sheer joy and happiness in everyone’s face. We could not have dreamt of a better wedding day!

I will start off by saying the venue was beautiful, I searched for weeks and came across Bluff Mountain Inn. Before and during the booking process I was emailing Rick, he was kind and very helpful when it came to getting things ready for the big day. At that pooping everyone was very pleasant. (Side note) I live in Hawaii so booking a destination wedding can be difficult when you aren’t present to discuss planning. I counted down the days getting more and more excited for my trip to Tennessee. However when I arrived for the rehearsal Rhonda was very sour and rude. Upon discussing how the wedding party will walk down the isle; I mentioned that I want the groomsmen to walk down with the bridesmaids as couples linked arms you know, the traditional way? She got the worst attitude and told me that in all the years she’s done wedding she’s NEVER seen it done that way. She seemed very displeased with my decision. She’s comes off as very stern and demanding, not the type of person you want running your wedding. On the actual wedding day itself me and most of my bridal party opted to get our makeup done, all of us were plastered in a too dark foundation with a very heavy hand. We all looked very Oompa-loompa-ish. the staff was just rude and disrespectful to both me and my family. One of our guests tried leaving the dining area because he needed his medication from the dining area and they had tried to refuse him from exiting. Then saying a snide remark of “Are you actually getting medication or are you getting alcohol?” EXTREMELY unprofessional! Who are you to deny someone access to their meds. Had our friends and family not been there to make our day the best day ever, we would be 1000% dissatisfied with our wedding. The wedding ended very abruptly at the end of the contract time, and immediately after we were told to pack up and leave. As we were packing up the bridal suite (in a very timely manner) we were told 2 additional times that we needed to hurry up and leave. Mary, the photographer, had came in and informed us that our sneak peek photos would be ready in 3 weeks. A month went by and I hadn’t heard anything. So I emailed them asking for any updates and not a single email back. Their email responses went from a couple hours for a reply before the wedding to absolutely M.i.a. After the wedding. After receiving our wedding photos I came across so many bad angles and blurry pictures. The “editing” that took two months was slapping a filter over them and putting their watermark dead-center int the middle of all photos. I have background in photography, photo editing, and photoshop and I can say 90% of these photos were unflattering and mediocre at best. I am extremely upset/annoyed that I have bought all of the digital copies, only to re-edit them and print them myself. Honest opinion if you’re looking for a wedding venue for your perfect day keep looking. Save your money, save your time, because this place isn’t worth it.
If I could give more stars....I definitely would! My husband and I live in California and our families were attending from Maryland, Pennsylvania and Florida. From the moment we reached out to Rick and Rhonda to the moment our reception ended, everything was absolutely flawless! Throughout the planning process they were very responsive (within hours!) and accommodating. They never hesitated to answer our questions and made us feel relaxed the entire time. From the flowers to the food and of course the amazing venue itself, we couldn't have asked for a better day. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food and cake tasted, how beautiful the venue was and how effortlessly the day went. Do not hesitate to book this venue and work with these wonderful folks! They certainly know what they're doing and will make you feel like you're the only couple getting married at Bluff Mountain Inn.
We chose Bluff Mountain Inn for our destination wedding in Spring of 2018. The venue was absolutely gorgeous as well as the surrounding area. It was very little hassle and turned out absolutely amazing. The owners definitely have experience and know what they are doing. THEY WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOU. Our guests had a great time and couldn't stop complimenting the choice of the location. The cake was absolutely fantastic as well as the rest of the meal. The photographer, Mary, worked well with us and noticed things about us as a couple that others would not have. She captured those things in her photos. We also recommend that you do a small portion of the pictures off site as those are probably some of our favorites.
The wonderful people at Bluff Mountain Inn made our day absolutely memorable. We bought the Smoky Mountain Celebration. It was perfect for 30 guests. They literally took care of everything while making everything personal. If I had to do things over, I would call Bluff Mountain again-pronto!
Do NOT elope at Bluff Mountain Inn, I worked with Tahlia (wedding coordinator) trying to find a way to stay Friday and Saturday night (an elopement package), she told me she had the weekend of Sept 9th available, get married on Friday evening, then stay Friday and Saturday in the honeymoon suite. I signed a contract and paid a 500.00 retainer. Then I start receiving emails from Rick King(don't know if he is the owner or manager) asking me which nights I need the honeymoon suite, emailed him back and told him the nights we were promised, well, they have a "wedding" booked that Saturday and b/c they had booked the honeymoon suite before me then I would have to change my dates or they would remove a night. They said they were sorry for the mix up, well sorry isn't enough, I explained to them that I booked a flight, I live in VA and my fiancé lives in TN and that we could not change our plans b/c of their mistake. I called and left a message for the manager or owner to call me back, no one called me back. They did refund my retainer, however I am thinking of suing them for breaking a contract. I have emails to prove all of this. I posted a bad review on Wedding Wire and they disputed it, well so did I and hopefully it will be back up soon, I also sent Wedding Wire the email proof. PLEASE DO NO ELOPE HERE, terribly unprofessional!!! Marge Caltagirone
We had such a great reception! From the planning to the amazing service during the event these people were nothing but helpful and kind! You can tell that they love what they do, and they do everything they can to tailor every detail to for your needs.
Please rethink your choice of this venue. They do NOT return your emails or phone calls. They had the date of my wedding wrong in their computer by 6 months. Faulty advertisement of vendors and PERSONALIZED decor ( look at a dozen photos on their page and that is the decor you have to choose from.) Even with some of my guest not showing up their was still not enough tables set for my guests at reception. Chairs during ceremony/reception were dirty. They put all my guests into chapel prior to ceremony and then told them to just go find a seat when I had asked for 2 family members who rented tuxes to seat my guest and sister in law/ nephew to pass out programs upon enterning considering it was suppose to be a small intimate ceremony. Serving set and toasting glasses were ruined because they were packed up dirty. All items were not returned. VERY RUSHED, they want u packed and out of the space by the end time of your contract to move another party or rehearsal in. Prices change throughout planning process such as hair and make up. Lastly while staff is suppose to be waiting on my guest they are on social media typing bad comments about my family and friends. (Facebook) UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least. Bar tender EXTREMELY rude, noted by several of my guest. The food was good and the food servers were nice! The view is pretty but there are a thousand other places with the same view and hopefully better service!!!!!
Our wedding was at Bluff Mountain Inn this past Tuesday, April 5, 2016. I am so glad we selected this venue. It was the most amazing day, down to the last minute. LOVE the entire Bluff Mountain Inn staff. Talia was great with answering any questions throughout the process. It was completely stress free. Rhonda saved the day with my challenging corset dress. Mary made the photographs fun, and made us all feel like rock stars. Food was amazing, DJ was amazing, and on & on... Can't say enough! Would recommend Bluff Mountain Inn to anyone who wants a stress-free, mountain-destination wedding.
I cannot say enough about this wedding venue. It is so special and so different and I'll always cherish getting married there. We have a vacation home in Sevierville Tennessee and wanted to get married there. After looking at many of the wedding chapels in the area we were so disappointed at the commercial "Vegas type" feel to them. It just wasn't us.
We love the country, we love the woods, Tennessee mountains and we just hated the artificial feeling these places gave us.
I came upon bluff mountain inn. It was just a few miles away from our cabin. We went to check it out and the minute we started down their long backwoods country driveway we knew this was it. First thing we saw was the little white chapel which we recognized as being modeled after an old chapel in cades cove! Anyone who loves this area knows how special that is!
We saw a huge red barn with chandeliers, and a little house sitting in the middle of this beautiful property.
We booked it right then.
The day finally came and I have to say I could not have asked for a more perfect day.
It was just us two getting married. We were greeted by Ricks little dogs running around the yard and we were greeted and show around to the back of the house which has been set up with beautiful suites, a makeup and hair area and views for days.
I was worried where Eric would wait for me while I got ready. It was a really cold day and I was having my hair and makeup done (by Haley who is THE best hair and makeup artist wow!!)
They brought Eric into one of their suites. He had a TV, fireplace and they brought him coffee. He was set!!! I was given the suite next door to his so he wouldn't see me until I was all ready! They took care of everything! I didn't have to worry about one thing. My dress and all my things were placed in the room. While I was getting my hair and makeup done, Rick was taking pictures of me, then our rings, my dress. They had our flowers waiting and ready exactly as I requested.
We took photos after, Rick had me hide in the beautiful barn while he brought Eric out to get some amazing reaction shots!! We then met the pastor and we were married in the chapel in a lovely private beautiful Candlelit ceremony.
I cannot say enough about this place. Our day was the most perfect, stress free day I could ever imagine.
A beautiful country winter wedding!!!
When deciding to elope, I mainly just wanted to walk away from the decisions. The staff at Bluff Mountain Inn only asked a few questions, and as I told my family, I honestly could not have planned it better if I had made all the decisions myself. The chapel was beautiful, the flowers were perfect, the dinner after the wedding was delicious! The staff was very professional and welcoming, which was exactly what we needed as we were so far from home. They prepared everything from my bouquet to the music and even had a stylist on site to do my hair and make up. The pictures were amazing and the memories are great! I would definitely recommend for elopement and small weddings!
I got married June 2, 2012. It was a day I will never forget. Bluff Mountain is beautiful! They made my day very easy and stress-free. I had a little confusion with pricing on hair for the bridesmaids and children but we worked that out pretty quickly. I can say other than that there was really nothing I can complain about! I had about 70 people come to the wedding and reception. Many of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. We were married in the garden area. We had our reception out in the barn. It opened up to a beautiful view. We had a lot of kids there and they loved running around the hilly area and hanging out out back. Everyone felt comfortable and welcome. The food and decor was awesome! Also, we were really pleased with our pictures. However, be prepared the albums take some time to get back. The pictures were very timely. RIK does a fantastic job.
The staff are very professional and friendly. I felt like I was with family! If I had it to over again, I would go back to Bluff Mountain Inn! I really don't think you will be disappointed. Just communicate your ideas and they will make it happen!
We had a great Wedding at Bluff Mountain, everything did go very smooth.
the only complaint we have is that we felt a little rushed during the Reception with several things. In addition we are very disappointed with majority of the pictures, mainly the ones from the Reception, but oh well.
I would recommend this place, but if you go here definitely request Jamie for your pictures, she took our pictures the first half of wedding and those pictures are great. Other than that request Rik who is in charge. I wish he would have been our photographer, which to our understanding he was supposed to be, which was very disappointing that he was not!!! If you get your hair done at Bluff mountain, Liz and her partner did an excellent Job!!! The food from Chef Tony was also very great. The place is beautiful!! Pictures ARE very expensive!!! =)
My husband and I got married at Bluff Mountain Inn on June 18, 2011. We booked with BMI because when we interviewed them they told us we would be the only wedding on the property in our time slot, they would make sure everything was taken care of the day of, and I would not see another bride that day. Being that Bluff Mountain was all-inclusive and would take the planning pressure off me, we booked right away.
When we got to Bluff Mountain on wedding day, there is another wedding beginning, which I was fine with. However, when our guests started arriving for our wedding, they were not allowed in to park for almost 30 minutes because they were taking pictures for the other wedding. Even my husband and groomsmen were not allowed in. Our wedding ceremony ended up being beautiful. Phillip King, the minister, was great.
We had an amzing reception. However, we had booked the barn to accommodate our 60 person guest list but were given a room that was too small. A group of our guests were forced to sit outside on the deck and even that table we had to ask to be set up once the reception started. I had even sent an exact guest count 3 weeks in advance. The staff was very nice and quick about getting us another table, though.
The food was great. The cake was delicious. The DJ was the best wedding DJ I've ever seen.
Although Bluff Mountain didn't live up to their sales pitch, our wedding day was amazing and we truly enjoyed it. I would recommend it.
This place was absolutely amazing! My husband and I chose to have a small wedding with only close family & friends! The package that we chose included 35 guests and was very affordable! The prices were great but the service was even more amazing! The wedding coordinators took care of everything for me and everything was exactly as I had dreamed and hoped that it would be! On my wedding day I was treated like a princess and they catered to my every need! The photographer was also great! The pictures are beautiful! The only complaint I would probably have is the price of the pictures when they are ready to order! For me and my budget the pictures are almost unaffordable! But they are such great pictures that it is worthy trying to come up with the money to order as many as possible! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone no matter what size your wedding is or what your idea of the perfect day is! They are great and they will make it perfect!
VERY beautiful place to get married! Everything is in one place...Chapel, Reception Hall, and Honeymoon Suite. The decorations in the Reception were perfect! The food is among the best! However, we did have a couple things creep up that were bumps in the road, but all worked out okay! Everyone loved the wedding and had a great time. Jennifer, was the best pleasure to work with!
