Blush Bridal and Formal

I found my dream dress at Blush Bridal! Blush was recommended by a friend (who also found their dress there), and I am so happy to have found them. They were my first and only place I needed to check out dresses. The Blush team made the experience of finding a dress fun and easy. My dress arrived ahead of schedule and I was able to have all my alterations through them. Highly recommend Blush Bridal!

When looking for a dress and boutique, I had already been to Blush when my cousin tried on dresses. I had loved the small, quiet, boutique feel as bigger and busier stores were overwhelming to me. Blush takes appointments so we essentially had the entire boutique to ourselves during my initial appointment. Carmen was the stylist during my initial appointment and she pulled all of the perfect dresses for me after asking just a few questions about what I was looking for. The very last dress I tried on (at Carmen's request) was THE dress so I'm so glad she asked if I wanted to try on the last dress. I didn't buy the dress during that first appointment, I went to another store and tried on more dresses. I ended up calling Blush back a few days later to make an appointment to try on my favorite dress one more time which they accommodated. I had my alterations done there as well, and after my first set of alterations I had my bridal portraits. I noticed that the dress wasn't flattering me from the side due to the boning of the dress, - for context this was the end of September and I got married on November 13. I called Blush to see if it was possible to do another set of alterations, realizing that it was cutting it close to the wedding. They scheduled me for an appointment and long story short, the dress fit me so much better after that second set of alterations. Blush was so great from start to finish!

Blush Bridal wasn't the most convenient location for me but I'd make the trip all over again. They had the designers I loved so this was the first salon I chose. The process was so easy and fun. I wasn't 100% on what style of dress I wanted going in, so she made sure I tried on a variety. One of her selections ended up being the one! I felt beautiful on my wedding day and looked like a princess. The seamstress they had me work with was incredible as well. She did a wonderful job and a reasonable price. This is a very cute bridal salon and my experience was perfect. They allow you to look through the racks to see what you are interested in and if you have any questions about styles of dresses they will try and pick one out they think you will like without being overbearing. I ended up really liking a dress on one of the mannequins and Christie ended up taking it off the mannequin to let me try on and I fell in love and ended up picking that one. I wanted to still look at other local stores since I had appointments already lined up and they made it known there was no pressure to pick that day and set up an appointment for me the next day if I wanted to come back. Once I came back and chose the dress and veil they were available to answer questions through email very promptly (they tend not to be able to pick up the phone since it is a small boutique shop and usually only 1 or 2 people in the store working). They do work with an amazing tailor that will come into the shop to do fittings. I had a very lovely experience and never felt pressured but always felt valued.

I absolutely loved this bridal salon! I drove from Richmond to Newport News for them and do not regret the decision at all. Christie and her team were so great to work with and were so helpful with my dress and my girls' dresses.

Went to 4 salons in Hampton Roads area and obviously this was my favorite since I chose it! They had a pretty good selection of dresses in different price ranges. They had a tailor come in to the salon to make adjustments and she did a good job at a reasonable price. I ended up not being totally happy with my dress but that was my fault not theirs. There's so much pressure to pick a dress so many months before the wedding, I wish I would have waited and searched a bit more.

Carmen was absolutely amazing! She listened to every detail I liked and disliked about each dress my friends picked out. After that she went around and picked out a couple of options and one of them ended up being my dress! She was so great! The woman they recommended for the alterations was fantastic. I had to go in several times after having a broken leg and she altered my dress perfectly to cover my boot and keep it so I wouldn’t trip over it! Would definitely recommend Blush Bridal to EVERYONE!

I loved working with Carmen at Blush Bridal to find my perfect dress! She was so patient with me as I tried on numerous options. There are so many beautiful options at Blush Bridal. Carmen made sure that I was happy with my dress and had that "say yes to the dress" experience. I would highly recommend Carmen at Blush Bridal for any bride looking for their perfect wedding dress! Karla was awesome with my dress fitting and alterations! It was great to be able to take care of everything at the same place.

My experience at Blush Bridal will be one that stays with me forever. It was the 6th bridal salon I’d visited and I was beginning to get discouraged that I might not find the “perfect dress” and I might have to settle for something else. A few months after I got engaged, my fiancé and I were browsing through a bridal magazine and we both stopped at a page with a gorgeous Maggie Sottero dress on it. He said, “wow, that would look great on you.” I wanted to find that dress but the previous 5 shops had not carried it. I was ready to be disappointed again when I asked Christy at Blush Bridal if they happened to have the dress. With a beaming smile she said, “We do!” I was thrilled and tried it on first! Right away, my own jaw dropped at how stunning my figure looked in the dress. My fiancé was right – it DID look great on me!! My mom and one of my bridesmaids were there too and they both agreed. However, I wanted Christy to pull a few more gowns for me so that I could make sure that this was my dress. I tried on about 8 more dresses and then back to the Maggie Sottero. With that final try-on, I was 100% sure that I was standing there in my wedding dress. My best friend cried, my Mom cried, and I cried! It was such a beautiful moment and I didn’t think I was going to have it! With that, I let Christy put on some accessories and some veil options and before I knew it, I was holding the “Yes” sign up and posing for pictures. Since then, I’ve gone back to Blush Bridal for my first, second, and final fittings with their alternations expert, Karla (who is also amazing!!) and I’ve made arrangements to have my dress preserved. The dress looked fabulous on and I needed very few alterations. Karla was patient and even created a bustle tutorial video for my bridesmaids since my dress had both French and American bustles. At my wedding, people told me that the dress was magical and looked incredible. I felt amazing and so beautiful in that dress!! The price points at Blush Bridal are really quite fair and I bought my veil there as well. I highly recommend Blush Bridal. Christy and Carmen are true bridal couture consultants, the staff are amazing, and you will be in excellent hands by visiting this bridal salon!! Carmen was awesome! Found the dress of my dreams at this shop, and she was so helpful and patient as I tried on multiple options and then re-tried on a few to be sure. Small shop, but you get one on one attention and it feels more personal.

My daughter Aubrey was Married in May 2018. Christy took fantastic care of her. Christy listened to my daughter and pulled out beautiful dresses. Within one session we found the dress. The dress was beautiful the customer service is fantastic. We had been looking for jewelry and they had exactly what she needed. I would use them again. Great experience! Carmen was amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better, more private bridal dress shopping experience. The only downfall was that the bustle they sewed into my dress did not work at all, kept falling out the entire night even after MOH, photographer and day-of-coordinator fixed it multiple times and ultimately left me with a very dirty, ripped train.

I loved working with Blush Bridal to find my dress! I thought I had found my dress until I visited Blush and found my actual dress. They are super sweet and helpful and held my veil and hairpiece for me for months. The bustle only took about 5 minutes and stayed in place - it was so cute. Highly recommend looking for a dress here.

I was very intimidated to start shopping for wedding gowns as I am a bit on the larger side, and typical "show room" models don't fit. However, Blush made the whole process easy! They have an incredible selection of dresses in all sizes. I had several photos of gowns I wanted to try on, but ended up picking something else because the stylist knew the inventory well enough to choose a gown that suited my tastes and budget. The only thing I would advise brides on is to begin shopping for a gown sooner rather than later as they can the dresses can take several months to come in.

I visited Blush today for my first bridal appointment, and was absolutely thrilled with my experience. My consultant Christy was kind, professional, and extremely helpful. She picked out dresses with many different silhouettes while keeping in mind the style of dress that I was looking for. The salon is adorable, and very comfortable, and for a small space they have lots of choices. I would recommend them to anyone in the Hampton Roads area! Thanks again Blush!

Don’t go anywhere else! After having a terrible experience at a local franchise dress shop I had just about given up on wedding dress shopping. My friend had heard great things about blush so she encouraged me to visit their shop. The owner was wonderful she made me feel like the prettiest girl in the whole world and found the perfect dress in my budget!

I found my gown made by Casablanca at blush bridal. I fell in love with Carmen who helped me every step of the way. She was very patient, kind, and helped me find my personal style!!! I felt beautiful and like a bride!!! Their boutique is gorgeous!! Thank you so much Carmen and Blush Bridal

I purchased my designer dress from this shop for a fraction of the price! They also have alterations on sight! Beautiful store with great selection, prices, and customer service! I would recommend them to all of my friends getting married. They also have a section with bridesmaid, mother of the bride, and prom dresses.

The staff at Blush Bridal is very helpful. I was able to find my perfect gown on my first visit. I could not have asked for a more relaxed and unnerving experience. I would recommend Blush Bridal to anyone looking for a gown for any occasion.

I was so pleased with Blush. I can't remember the name of the woman that helped me through the process but she was fantastic. She owns the place with her sister and is so great. I made my appointment and she spent so much time with me. I tried on probably 15 dresses and never felt rushed at all. I ended up getting my dress there and getting it altered there as well. She even came in and opened the store for me to get measured for my alterations on a Monday when they are normally closed because she knew that Monday was the only day I could do it. The sweet woman that did my alterations was really nice as well. I have no complaints about this place at all. I highly recommend it and I loved my dress!

I did not go to multiple shops to look for dresses. I had heard horror stories about different shops but only great things about Blush. I had two appointments where I tried on a total of 14 dresses. Holly was fantastic at letting the bride pick her own dresses while still trying to help the bride find her style. She was never pushy and never made me feel like I had to make a decision.

I had an amazing experience at Blush when I purchased my bridal gown. The owner was fantastic and very helpful. I was able to stay with in a very tight budget for my dress but was still able to get something that was well made and beautiful. This store is a must if youre looking for a consigned dress!

I just couldn't justify spending $1,000+ on a dress I'll only wear once - no matter how "big" or "special" that one time is. I went to Blush after trying on tons of dresses in several different stores across Virginia and the woman at Blush was able to help me find the dresses that matched my desired style in my size. I found 2 great dresses and after sleeping on it, came back to buy one. Fortunately for me, the dress was already hemmed to my height and had a bustle so that saved me in alteration expenses, too. The dress was great, I looked beautiful, and I had money left over for all the other wedding expenses that were more important to me (cupcakes, anyone?) Blush is worth a visit if you are in the area and is a great way to save some money in the very bloated wedding industry.

I looked for over a year for my dress with no luck. Holly was so helpful. She held on to my dress for months while I moved and she helped me find a good seamstress. Plus you can't beat the prices!

Prices can't be beat! When I had a melt down and thought i'd bought the wrong dress Holly let me use the deposit towards a different dress.

Holly has outstanding customer service! The store has a number of styles and ranges of dress. I was able to find a store sample dress for a great deal. Even after the sale, Holly continued to make sure I was happy with the purchase. She assisted with making an alterations appointment as I wanted to make some changes to the dress in addition to the typical alterations. It was a wonderful experience! I would highly recommend Blush!

The store owner was VERY helpful, patient, and just simply a nice person. I went with my mother and my sister, and we were allowed to go through the racks ourselves and pick out wedding dresses for me to try on. In a lot of bridal stores you aren't allowed to do so, so I was glad that I could choose myself what to try on. The appointment lasted an hour, and the store owner never rushed us. She helped me get in and out of the dresses, but I never felt uncomfortable because she always came with the dress in front of her and lifted it over my head so she never actually saw me in my underwear (I've heard stories where people are uncomfortable with the sales people helping them get dressed, this was definitely not the case). I was surprised at how many dresses were available in my size! She had a great selection when we went. I did end up buying a dress, for a great price, and would recommend any bride on a budget to visit Blush!

Over priced dresses. Most weren't even cleaned nicely. Low customer service.

I only had 10 weeks from engagement to wedding day and I was very worried about finding the perfect dress. I went to two other stores and was not very pleased with the service. I went to Blush and found my dress in no time. The owner was so helpful and patient. I have told many people already to go there for wedding dresses, maid of honor and mother of the bride dresses as well.

I looked at Blush for a dress and found several beautiful, affordable options, just not "the one" for me. I did end up buying a flower girl basket from them. Their customer service was excellent and they were great to work with when I was trying to find a dress there.
