Bolt Party Bus

The owner/manager of Bolt is super friendly on the phone and is happy to any questions that you might have or negotiate rates (within reason, of course). However, I did feel like he was a little less concerned about making us happy after we signed the contract. The day of our wedding went fine in terms of transportation. We all got where we needed to be when we needed to get there, so that is pretty key. But although we had sent the itinerary previous to our wedding day, the driver didn't have directions printed out and we needed to hassle with that a bit. It all worked out in the end, but although I have nothing bad to say, I wasn't blown away either.

The party bus was the perfect transportation to get the wedding party back to the reception after the ceremony. We had music blasting, champagne flowing, lights flashing. It was so fun and the driver was such a doll! I think this is a great company to use for any fun-loving crowd, whether it be a wedding or a birthday party! And it was very reasonably priced as well!

I booked Bolt Transportation due to the Yelp reviews it received from past clients. Unfortunately, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with the service provided by this company and would NOT RECOMMEND it to anyone. Our driver was on time to the first pickup point to transport groomsmen to the wedding ceremony location but was not familiar with the San Diego area. She was using her iPhone to navigate and was ill prepared with her routing. This company does not supply its drivers with a GPS! She made two wrong turns on the way to the venue, took the long way and drove with zero sense of urgency. Furthermore, the air-conditioning in the vehicle (party bus) was not functioning efficiently on one of the hottest days of the year. After dropping the guys off at the ceremony location driver got lost and took an hour to arrive at the bridesmaids’ location, this trip should have only taken 20 minutes. Finally the driver picked up the bride at 2pm when the ceremony was scheduled to start and then blamed the groomsmen for being late (which was baseless). Now imagine the mental state of a late bride in an overheated vehicle and you can picture the ordeal that this company put us through. Our guests had to wait an extra 25 mins in a packed sweltering Church due to inexperience of the driver and lack of preparation of Bolt transportation. Thankfully, our other vendors (musicians, Church) did not charge us more for the extra time that was required from them. Furthermore, since the ceremony finished 30 mins later than it should have the entire wedding photo shoot schedule was messed up. We were rushed to leave the Church and could not take the number of photos we wanted. DO NOT hire Bolt for anything unless you want to be late to your own wedding. They provide inexperienced, ill-equipped drivers and vehicles with poor air conditioning.

Brian was wonderful to work with! He was perfectly on time from 7:45 in the morning all the way through 4:15 in the afternoon. With 6 different location changes, he was right there, ready to go, the services provided by Bolt really helped to keep us on schedule. The limo bus was clean, and spacious! we were able to fit 20 people including a giant wedding dress, equipments from videographer and photographers and room to spare.
