Drink service was also a real hit. When planning our wedding, we were interested in having an extensive cocktail list at our wedding and Jeff and his team made it happen – making everything from martinis to palomas – tracking down hard to find ingredients and making fresh simple syrup for the reception. It was also nice working with a vendor who remained conscious of price – and steered us towards options within our budget, but of the best quality. Seriously – if you want people to remember your wedding food in a positive way – go with these guys, you won’t be disappointed.

He was very familiar with our venue (he's a preferred caterer for the Prospect Park Picnic House) and had AMAZING suggestions including table setup and placement. Our tasting was outstanding, and we even went home with extra treats. The day of our wedding happened to fall just before the pandemic and shelter-in-place began in New York City. As a result, we had lots of people cancel at the last minute. Jeff was incredibly understanding with us and made sure that we got to take home every last bite of leftover food. The leftovers fed us, my parents, my husband's parents, and his grandparents for nearly 6 meals each during our first week of quarantine. The food was not only delicious but beautiful--our guests took pictures of their plates. All in all, if you're looking for the best catering option for your wedding, congratulations because you've already found it.

No question went unanswered and every question was met with never-ending patience and wisdom from the whole team. He even helped us with wonderful suggestions for alcohol and beer vendors and helped us figure out the best amount to order which was above and beyond his call of duty for our party. The entire staff on the day of the event made sure the party was seamless. Every staff member treated us like royalty from start to finish and they were so sweet to our guests. And, now...the FOOD! Every single one of our guests made a point of raving about every item that was served from appetizers to entrees. Everything was fresh, hot, delicious and looked great. Our friends and family went up for seconds and thirds and could not believe we were serving such delicious food at a party for so many people. For example, the pita with our appetizers was served fresh and hot. When have you ever had fresh, hot pita bread at a party? We did (and so did all our guests) at our wedding. We hope to have another party just so we have an excuse to hire Jeff and his team again. If you are looking for a caterer for your big event, look no further.

Yoriko knew the Boathouse like the back of her hands. She was one of the main reason also we went with Bon Soir. Staff seemed to really know what they were doing and made sure the day ran smoothly with food, setup, and flipping the space from ceremony to dinner without a hitch. We also received several compliments from our guests on the food. In general, Jeff was easy to work with and pretty communicative via email. The only thing that was a little frustrating was the cost breakdown of the rentals (e.g., tables, glassware, etc.) - would have been great to have a more clear explanation of why each item was needed. Although we were initially a little nervous about being limited to a small group of caterers on the Picnic House's list, Bon Soir ended up being great and we were very happy with our experience! Would definitely recommend them for Picnic House weddings and otherwise. Our wedding was beautiful from start to finish.

uld have been great if better notes were taken during the tasting as it felt that we had to repeat our preferences several times during the process. The waitstaff overall is very professional, courteous and responsible. They worked very hard to make all of our guests happy. All of our guests were very happy with the food and we received dozens of positive comments. The only reason that we are giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that we had several vegan guests and requested several vegan appetizers. Unfortunately, one of the appetizers that should have been vegan was not and another appetizer that was not vegan was advertised as though it was. The waitstaff should have been better educated on which items were vegan and which were not. We would not hesitate to use them again.

We were introduced to the captain, Victor, who took such great care of us. You know you're in good hands when the catering staff stops you from entering the reception for a few minutes to eat (the amazing!) appetizers. I never felt in want of anything, things simply just happened. Our guests commented multiple times on the amazing food and service during the reception. In fact, the other day a friend mentioned to me (again!) how delicious the BBQ was—and (as a Texan!) I have to agree. We would hire Jeff and his team again in a heartbeat. The food was incredible and the service was exquisite. I feel really lucky to have had hired them, everything was just so easy.

Our wedding was 7 weeks after we got that news, so we had a little bit more time than other couples to get everything sorted out, but from what I've heard, every wedding went off without a hitch - ours included. Jeff was great in working with us to make sure we would get at least what was promised to us by the former caterer. And in fact, we were even able to work with him to provide our own liquor for the event, which was an added bonus for us. All in, we ended up saving about $5,000 over what we would have spent with the now-defunct caterer, which goes a long way toward making up for that lost deposit! As for the food, it was seriously good. Not just wedding good, but genuinely good stuff. Our guests raved over it. We had salmon and chateubriande beef, and the beef was SO tender. That is seriously impressive when serving food for so many (we had 131 people). And the cake, which I believe they provided through Ladybird Bakery, was out of this world. I truly believe the food we got was MUCH better than what we would have got with the original caterer, so you can't beat the value. The only downside was that Jeff could be hard to get ahold of, and sometimes his emails weren't exactly clear. We had to cut him a break here though, since he was in the midst of pulling off so many last-minute weddings. All in, if you want a caterer that provides excellent food, fantastic service and who truly cares about the business and ensuring your wedding is perfect, look no further than Jeff and Bon Soir.

k Picnic House and of all the catering options they offer, Bon Soir is by far the one to go with. Jeff from Bon Soir has been in the wedding industry for many years and he knows what he's doing. When you talk to him, he will put your mind at ease and be very straight forward, explaining details of how things work and also taking away all the "shenanigans" from the process. We started communicating with him via email and then scheduled our in-person meeting. The meeting was great and he made my husband and I feel confident that they were the ones we wanted for our wedding. We booked our tasting and the food was beyond delicious. We were so excited with the food and he surprised us even more giving us a good portion of the generous tasting leftovers for us to take home. We loved every bite of those leftovers. As the day approached, he made sure we had all the details were sorted out and he was super quick and responsive when we had a hard time finding a Beer vendor for our wedding. I messaged him asking for advice and he immediately jumped in and gave us a great alternative. Not only he found our vendor, but he did all the due diligence to make sure everything would be fine on the wedding day, meeting with the vendor in person and making sure they were aligned before the big day. Needless to say that our wedding day went smoothly, he set up everything the way we had envisioned and the food was FABULOUS!! Everything was on point, and our guests were thrilled with the wonderful selection. From appetizers to main course, to the bartenders and waiters, everything was perfect. Him and his staff work like and great orchestra knowing exactly what to do. And I can't understate how amazing the food was. To this day, I still have guests telling me how much they enjoyed the food. Rocco and I couldn't be happier with our decision. If you're looking for a caterer for your wedding, Bon Soir is the right choice. They made our dream and vision become a reality by their professionalism, reliability, quality service and excellent food.

It, not my beautiful dress or killer dance moves, was the highlight of our wedding. We so desperately wanted good, accessible, unique food and we got all of that and more. I'm a vegetarian and my husband is not, and we rocked a southern BBQ mix that left both of us stuffed and busting out of our fancy clothes. We had a unique situation in that our wedding was dry (I'm in recovery) and Jeff didn't bat an eyelash. Instead we were showered with sparkling cider, hot spiced apple ciders, teas, lemonades, coffees, and more. The desserts were out of this world and kept people dancing with their "strolling" serving style. I can't rave enough about Jeff and Bon Soir. They are so reasonably priced for the kind of service and peace of mind they provide. Book them now!

While courteous and extremely professional, Jeff's company is incredibly busy. Phone tag and lapses in email are possible during the process, but if it's urgent Jeff will follow through right away. We had Bon Soir serve BBQ at the wedding, and we had a lot of happy guests. The menu we planned with Jeff was exactly what we were hoping for - if Jeff already didn't have it on a menu, he found a way to get it done. His contacts and other vendors also helped us save a lot of money. The wedding day was smooth, with the only complaint from guests being one of the bartenders not knowing how to make an Old Fashioned. Again, only complaint. Our maitre d was incredible, and our wedding coordinator told us after the face he was easy to work with, knew exactly what he was doing and followed the plan to a T. We are beyond grateful for Jeff and the Bon Soir team - they were absolutely critical in what became a perfect day.
