Border Grill

Border Grill was absolutely delicious and fantastic! Taylor, our point person, was fantastic to work with. We were excited to have more interesting/unique food at our wedding that was also affordable. Taylor helped us coordinate rentals (including managing everything when the rental place closed down only two weeks before our wedding!) and kept our minds at ease. All our guests loved the food and everything ran smoothly on the day of. During the wedding the coordinator also came up to us (bride and groom) to ask what we wanted to drink and make sure it was ready at our sweetheart table. Overall fantastic service the whole way through!

Taylor and Border Grill were so easy to work with and executed amazingly on the day of. We asked them to provide a completely vegan wedding and they accommodated us easily and deliciously. In addition, we had many questions along the way that Taylor answered quickly and patiently - she was a pleasure to work with! We would highly recommend them and hope to attend another wedding catered by Border Grill!

We were determined to find a wedding caterer that didn't serve the same old typical wedding food, doing tastings with multiple well-reviewed vendors without success - until we found out Border Grill does wedding catering! The food was absolutely amazing, with creative menu items you won't find with other vendors at this price range. If you are planning a Southern California wedding and are dreaming of margaritas and tacos, Border Grill is the best choice you could make! We researched MANY catering companies and Taylor with Border Grill blew us away at our tasting. When it came to wedding day, the food and drinks were delicious and the staff was very friendly and efficient. Taylor and her staff were very detailed oriented from the moment they arrived until the last fork was cleaned and put away. Border Grill catered our wedding (3/24/18) and we couldn't have been happier! They did passed apps, a taco bar and bar service for us. I worked with both Clare and Nicole and they were so helpful. They worked within our budget, helped us find a menu that would keep all of our guests happy (we had lots of palates to please from vegetarian, vegan, meat-loving and kids), and even helped us arrange rentals. Just one example of their attention to detail: after the ceremony, my husband and I had to miss most of cocktail hour for photos. But one of their staff (thank you Pablo!) prepared a tray with one of each of the appetizers for us to eat before the photos. So thoughtful, because we would have completely missed all of the apps otherwise. Pablo also checked on us all night long and brought us food and drinks so we could focus on talking to our guests and dancing the night away instead of standing in the buffet and bar lines. Book Border Grill, you will not be disappointed, and neither will your guests!

Border Grill catered our wedding (10/15/16) and was an absolute dream to work with. Clare was our main contact, and she couldn't have been nicer and more on top of things. We live in NY and planned our LA wedding from across the country, so we especially appreciated their attention to detail throughout the planning process and on the day of our wedding. Clare was extremely responsive to all of our questions and had several of her own that made us confident that Border Grill was going to pull off our event with no issues. Sure enough, they arrived early on the day of our wedding and Clare even helped with details unrelated to catering, like lighting 100 votive candles around our venue. The servers (especially Spencer, the head server) and bartenders were fantastic. They were super friendly and interacted with our guests in a polite, professional, yet casual manner that really captured the overall vibe of our wedding. And, most importantly, the food was delicious! Border Grill provided their signature margaritas (8 gallons worth disappeared in under an hour!), passed appetizers, a buffet-style taco bar with three taco selections and an assortment of sides, and churro tots for dessert. Our guests raved about the food, and I even got compliments from a friend who claims to not like Mexican food. The food selection was also friendly to vegetarians and guests avoiding gluten. We didn't worry about the food, drink, or service at all on our wedding day, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the event. We really wanted one of our favorite taco trucks at our relaxed Joshua Tree wedding. Even with the travel fee, it was still less expensive than what we would have paid for the local catering companies. Food was great as expected and the guests loved it, especially the churro tots! (one of our favorites) We were functioning on a tight budget and couldn't afford to put down the deposit to hold our date right away. Lauren was very understanding and instead offered us first right of refusal if someone else tried to book, which was a lifesaver!

The Border Grill catering team went above and beyond for my wedding. Every single dish/drink: from the agua frescas, to the fresh cut fruit with tajin, to the paloma specialty cocktails, to the taco bar, to the churro tots were absolutely delicious. Their staff was professional and punctual and were in and out of the venue in a flash, leaving the space cleaner than they found it. Most of our guests commented to my wife and me about how our wedding had the best food and drinks they've ever had. I would recommend Border Grill catering to anyone who wants delicious and memorable food for any occasion.

Working with Lauren Morales at Border Grill was really fantastic. She was organized and responsive throughout the planning process. The food was fantastic and prompted multiple compliments from guests. The sweet corn tamales are amazing - definitely order them. The passed appetizers - empanadas and ceviche - were perfect. The only thing I would say is don't use Border Grill for beverages. They charge a lot more than other companies, such as Liquid Catering.

Border Grill created an amazing buffet for my Palm Springs wedding and I highly recommend them! Stacy and the crew were so easy to work with from the very beginning. She listened to what we wanted, and even helped us stay within our budget. On the day of, everything went seamlessly. And most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious and everyone raved. We ended up doing a buffet of 4 taco options and the crowd loved it. Go with Border Grill!
