Bourassa was absolutely the BEST part of the wedding planning process. Throughout all of the craziness, they were always there to help in anyway they could - even for things in my opinion isn’t in their job description! They were incredibly flexible with our budget and helped us make it happen. The day of, they were nothing short of AMAZING. The food was incredible, and all of the staff was wonderful. I could not recommend them more!

After having a nightmare experience with another caterer we had booked, Bourassa stepped in and truly saved the day! Nikki was an absolute gem to work with and so incredibly helpful throughout the whole process! Everything was so delicious, I wish I had eaten more! So many guests during and after our wedding raved about the food. We even had guests say it was by far the best wedding food they have ever had. Some favorites were the Lobster Roll, Bacon Wrapped Scallops, the Halibut for dinner. The drinks were also delicious! Nikki, Joe, Chef Devin and Chef Jon were all so incredibly sweet and helpful through out this whole wedding planning process and even day of helped to make sure everything went out without a hitch. Mikayla our bridal attendant was also the sweetest and made sure we always had food and drinks throughout the night! Our wedding planner even made a comment to me during the wedding that she was so impressed with Bourassa and would be referring them to her other brides. Thank you Bourassa for truly helping make our wedding day perfect and delicious! We could not have done it without you!

My husband and I contracted with Bourassa to cater our wedding this past May. This was inarguably the best decision we could've made. From the very start, they were communicative and great about answering our questions. Nikki, our primary contact, was in touch with us frequently to help us navigate everything from creating a timeline for the day to creating a floor plan for the tables and everything in between. The real show stopper beyond the incredible customer service was the food. I felt very strongly that we needed the food served at our wedding to be excellent, and Bourassa exceeded that expectation. The hors d'oeuvres and charcuterie display were phenomenal, the main courses were delicious, and the dessert shooters were also excellent, in addition to being a fun way to supplement the traditional wedding cake. They were also able to accommodate food allergies and dietary preferences with ease. Everyone at Bourassa was kind and lovely to work with. We absolutely cannot recommend them-- or the butternut squash ravioli-- enough!!

Bourassa came to the rescue to cater our wedding at the Wadsworth Atheneum after a bad experience with our first caterer. Working with them was a dream. All communication was prompt and straightforward from our first interaction to the day of our wedding. They even sent us a thank you card after we selected them as our caterer, which was a nice, personal touch! They were flexible and willing to work with us to customize the menu and the food was incredible (definitely get the mac and cheese appetizer)! Everyone from our event coordinator, Nikki, to the chefs, owner, and the event staff were so professional and delightful to work with. They were so attentive and detail-oriented on the day of; someone even followed us around with a plate of apps during cocktail hour to ensure we had a chance to eat! We can't thank them enough. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them!

Bourassa catered our wedding at The Cabin at Wickham Park and did an amazing job. The food was delicious, beautiful, and plentiful. Their service was attentive, professional, and courteous. Altogether, their good work greatly contributed to a delightful wedding reception. They ensured we (the bride and groom) received a plate of our hors d'oeuvres, received our meal first / had a chance to eat, worked with us on a custom menu for our family friendly wedding reception, and easily accommodated a last minute request to add an iced water and lemonade refreshment welcome station when we saw the forecasted temperature quickly rise a few days before our wedding. Nikki, our event coordinator, was a delight to work with as well. Asking Bourassa to cater our wedding is easily one of our best decisions!

Bourassa did a wonderful job through the entire planning process and execution of appetizers and dinner on the day. Nikki was a wonderful contact and truly worked diligently with us the entire way. I didn’t always know the best timing for the transition between appetizers and dinner or dinner and dessert and she helped me with the entire plan. The day of, the contacts at The Owenego helped us have our own set of appetizers and made sure to get us our own plate of dinner. Everyone was kind, helpful and made sure everyone ate and took home late night snacks! The food was wonderful and the experience was truly smooth and seamless!

Extremely Professional! Food was amazing I had the Seabass and it was delicious! Service was on point and done very timely! All around great!

Bourassa did an excellent job catering our wedding, and was such a perfect fit for us! We were nervous we would not be able to find a caterer at a reasonable price since most of the guests on my side were vegetarian, but the Bourassa team worked with us to create a completely customized menu with fully vegetarian stations (Indian, Mexican, Italian) while also having a carving station for meat- and everything was delicious! Nikki and Joe were both very kind and professional throughout the process, such a pleasure to work with. This was also their first time catering at our wedding venue, and Nikki worked with our planner to make sure everything would fall into place logistically and run smoothly. Highly recommended!

We had the privilege of working with them for our wedding on May 19th, and everything was absolutely perfect - we couldn't have asked for a better catering team for our wedding. From the moment we began wedding planning, Bourassa stood out above all other vendors. The kindness and excitement that the team exudes is contagious, and unmatched in the wedding industry. Nikki celebrated WITH us during the most exciting time of our life, and I truly looked forward to our check-ins. By the time our wedding rolled around, Nikki, Joe & John started to feel more like friends than vendors. The most stand-out thing about the Bourassa team is the level of customization and care that goes into each wedding. During our tasting, I mentioned that my grandfather (who we unfortunately lost several years ago) was a hot dog aficionado and would frequently visit a nearby hot dog joint. I asked if there was any way we could honor him by having hot dogs as the late night snack option. Upon hearing his, Joe & Nikki sprang into action - researching this particular restaurant's hot dogs and going above and beyond to try and replicate the exact hot dogs that my grandfather loved so much. Seeing his absolute favorite food there at our wedding meant more to my family and I than I can put into words. A small ode to him that we will cherish forever, and we are so grateful to the Bourassa team for giving this to us. As if that wasn't enough, my husband had his heart set on including his favorite cocktail from a restaurant in our hometown as his signature cocktail for our wedding. Although it was complicated, Joe worked with us to craft the perfect iteration of this cocktail - from the taste to the presentation - and it was executed flawlessly. Guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was and how friendly all of the catering staff were. I could go on and on about this team's professionalism, talent & good vibes. We are so, so happy to have shared our special day with Bourassa!

Bourassa catered our June 2023 wedding, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a perfect day! Their initial communications were prompt, thorough, proactive, and friendly. When we visited their location for a tasting, everyone was absolutely lovely, and really made it feel like a special occasion. We thought the food was excellent and well-priced for the quality and variety of choices. On the wedding day, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious and plentiful. Nikki, the event coordinator, deserves a special mention. When the wedding coordinator that we hired disappeared three weeks before our wedding, Nikki swooped in to save the day. She went through every detail with us to make sure that nothing would be missed. She always made time to speak with us on the phone, even on busy days, and did so much to set our minds at ease. We truly had a perfect wedding day, and Bourassa made it happen. Highly highly recommended!

Bourassa is an outstanding caterer: Flexibility, friendliness, and phenomenal service! From the incredible tasting experience to the wedding day: a custom pretzel wall, raw bar, and more - every detail was perfect. The staff was super friendly and attentive to our guests. They helped setup and cleanup which took a lot of stress of us on our wedding day. The whole teams warmth and Nikki's invaluable assistance made planning our big day a breeze. Our family and friends are still raving about the generous portions and amazing food. Highly recommended for an unforgettable wedding!

We loved working with Bourassa! The food was delicious and they were so attentive and responsive to our wants and needs! We had a buffet with a carving station, and all of our guests raved about the food. Their staff were professional and so helpful- thanks Jenny!! I also heard from the other vendors that we hired that Bourassa’s staff were fun to work with! Thanks for making our perfect day perfect!

From booking to the big day, working with Bourassa was amazing. They made sure to accommodate every request we could think of and worked closely with us to ensure we had everything we needed throughout the day. Perfect communication at all times and no hidden charges for anything. All of our guest loved all of the food and drinks. The service from every staff member was phenomenal. Not only did they ensure our guest had everything they needed, they made sure we as the couple were able to enjoy all of our food and drinks also. We created our own menu based on their recommendations and the buffet was stocked with everything. The bar staff was attentive and handled everything beautifully. The timing of food was efficient. We recommend Bourassa for any event!

We could not have been happier. Bianca was a dream to work with throughout the planning process. The staff was absolutely amazing on our wedding day and we received so many complements on the food. They did a great job in keeping our day flow.

I really enjoyed working with Bourassa, which is owned by the chef Bob Bourassa. They were responsive, flexible, and their menu options were clear/not confusing, and they were not trying to trick you or upsell you on anything. The food at the wedding was excellent, and we got a lot of comments about it. Multiple guests said: "we usually don't remember/notice the food at weddings, but the food here is so good that it really stands out." While many couples don't have time to eat at their weddings, both my husband and I paused to enjoy our dinner and take home the delicious leftovers. They also did a marvelous job with the ceremony site setup, linens, and all the logistical elements. Highly recommend

Bourassa Catering made our wedding absolutely wonderful! Throughout the planning process they were friendly, responsive, and organized. They made me feel confident my wedding was in good hands. The day of the food was incredible (our guests are still talking about it as "the best wedding food we've ever had", and trust me, there's been a lot of weddings lately!) The entire staff was beyond amazing; friendly, detail oriented, efficient, and full of energy that really helped make the day. For the amazing service and food we got, I feel like we underpaid! I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you so much Bourassa for making our special day even more special!

We used Bourassa catering for our wedding and they did an absolutely phenomenal job! Bob helped us design a menu that would fit with our outdoor, end-of-summer wedding and was beyond easy to work with. He accommodated all of our requests and everything tasted absolutely amazing (many guests told us it was the best "wedding food" they'd ever had!) Not only was the food delicious, it looked beautiful too. Bourassa's staff was so friendly and helpful. They took care of everything we needed and made us feel so comfortable and stress-free on the big day. We also really appreciate how dedicated Bourassa Catering is to Covid safety. The plexiglass barriers in front of the buffet were subtle and sturdy, exactly what we needed. We would absolutely recommend Bourassa Catering for any event, and especially if you're having an event during Covid and want to serve your guests excellent food as safely as possible!

Our wedding was on 9/28/2019 at the Wilton Old Town Hall. We had passed appetizers, a salad course and a plated entree for about 40-45 people. The appetizers were delicious and elegantly displayed, the salad was delicious ( a spinach cesar) and the entrees were also phenomenal (filet of sole and chicken cordon bleu). All the staff were absolutely professional and completely adept. Our coordinator, Patti was incredible. Im super A type and had a lot of tiny detail requests, all of which Patti took care of, and none were too small or insignificant. I would definitely recommend Bourassa and Patti for your event.

Bourassa was delightful to work with. We worked closely with Patti to set the menu and bar, and she helped us manage our tent and dining rentals. She was very attentive and made the whole day run smoothly, even doing little things like asking what sort of food she should save us from dinner and setting plates out for us so we didn't have to wait in line. Can't speak highly enough about her. The food was also delicious. Our taco bar was a huge hit, and Bourassa was completely on board when we asked to do a collection of desserts (pies, cookies, etc) instead of cake. They suggested some items, and also were happy to work with our personal requests/recipes.

Patti and her staff went above and beyond. All of the guests raved about the food and the service was phenomenal! They even made sure that our dog (who was in the wedding party) was well attended and taken care of. Highly recommend this group!

We honestly can't say enough good things about Bourassa Catering. We had nearly given up on finding a caterer until we met Bob and Catherine, but from the minute we spoke to them we knew we were in good hands. From a communications perspective, they were both incredibly kind, responsive, and organized. They were reasonably priced and took time to listen to what we were thinking, explain everything, and answer questions. Most importantly though, the food was AMAZING! From the tasting we did with them to the stationary apps to the buffet, everything was beautifully presented, delicious, and enough for an army. We did a BBQ menu and not only did people get seconds and compliment the food but the leftovers they packed for us sustained our family for a week and no one got tired of them - that good! The day-of staff were all great and cleaned up well very quickly. Friends and family who work in the events industry raved about them and we have already recommended them to others. Several years ago, I attended a wedding catered by Bourassa Catering and liked the food and service. When my daughter was getting married I contacted and interviewed several "recommended" providers and ultimately selected Bob and Catherine Bourassa. They are a delight to work with, super responsive to every question and request, and of course "grand masters" in the kitchen. They nailed the Bride and Groom's special culinary requests and together with their superb staff delivered a perfect party. Our guests contacted us weeks after the wedding to complement the food, the service, and even the staff that were so accommodating. I highly recommend Bourassa Catering as the best ever!

Bob Bourassa and his team did a phenomenal job and truly went above and beyond. We couldn't have been any happier with them from start to finish. We felt the team really invested themselves in our day and our guests raved about both the food and the staff. Our wedding was at our home and they were incredibly respectful, neat, and delightful to work with. Bob created a menu for our no-seated-dinner backyard cocktail reception that was ideal. The team set up a hydration station for guests at the ceremony (on the front lawn), which came in handy because it was warm out. After the ceremony there were plentiful passed hors d'oeuvres - we picked out 9 from their lengthy options and we asked for a custom appetizer, which they were happy to do. They then transitioned into food stations - cheese and crudite, meat carving station, pasta and salad station. There was plenty of food to go around without it being a stuffy sit down or buffet meal. The bars were well stocked and Bob took care to order everything we asked for. We requested local beers, pinot noir and sauvignon blanc not just the standard cabernet and chardonnay, and had Tito's and Hendrick's since my husband prefers those brands. Believe me, no one was thirsty! One of the servers made sure that the bride and groom were well taken care of - she brought us food and always made sure our glasses were full! The team cut and served our wedding cake at no extra cost (Bourassa doesn't provide cakes). And even helped clean up chocolate cake from the floor when my husband encouraged the kids to "smash" the groom's cake! What I was even more amazed with occurred after the wedding and reception. We had asked the caterer to leave some leftovers for any late-night guests who remained. I guess we ate everything the caterer brought, so they rummaged in our fridge and arranged plates of cheese and deli meat, snacks, etc. for us to snack on. They left bottles of wine and beer as well. In walking our lawn and property in the days afterward, there were only a handful of swizzle sticks that hadn't been picked up. Even their clean up was impeccable! I cannot recommend Bourassa enough! They were fantastic and at a reasonable price. Thank you!

Simply delicious! It was wonderful working with Bob and Natalie to put together the perfect menu. I can't eat gluten, and it was so easy to make sure the food was safe for me to eat. Everyone said it was fantastic too! They were also great at cleaning up and making sure we (the bride and groom) remembered to eat and drink!

Bourassa Catering was amazing. Don't go anywhere else. The food was delicious and the selection was extensive. The staff with Bourassa were very professional and attentive. As we were getting our photos taken, the staff came out to us with hors d'oeuvres and drinks to ensure we ate something and didn't miss the amazing food. Throughout the wedding the staff repeatedly checked in with us (bride and groom) to make sure we had everything we needed. We had raves from our guests about the food and the service. Just what you want to hear after your wedding!! Bourassa also has a store front in Wallingford that is a great place to have lunch.

My wife and I used Bourassa Catering for our outdoor wedding reception on 9/27/2014, of about 90 people. They were fantastic. We built our wedding up from scratch, using our house as the reception venue. During the initial meeting, Bob listened to our likes and dislikes, and then created a menu and proposal that fit our taste buds and wallets. From that point, we worked with Natalie on putting the rest of the reception together. From the start we had a really good idea of what we wanted, and she worked through any changes that we threw at her - they were extremely flexible with our requests. We had some vegetarians and vegans and were able to create a separate plate for these guests. They were fantastic to work with and conscious about our budget through the whole process. They have a great rapport with other vendors for seating, tents, etc. They provided a “one stop shop” for all things an outdoor wedding would need. On the day of, the team provided exceptional service. The entire staff was friendly and professional to us and our guests. They took care of all setup (tables looked fantastic) and breakdown, keeping our venue clean The food was phenomenal. Our guests to this day, still talk about all of the food (appetizers and dinner) they had at our reception and how delicious it was. We could not recommend Bourassa Catering enough.

I was blown away by not only the food but the professionalism and helpfulness of Bob prior to the event and of the staff during the event. Part way through the night we had run out of bar glasses, I didn't even need to ask the wait staff to help clean, they did it without me asking!! The food was phenomenal and the portions were very generous. I will most certainly be using them again for any future events.
