Bourbon Orleans Hotel

We held our ceremony and reception in the St. Ann Courtyard & Cottage of The Bourbon Orleans Hotel. It was so beautiful, exactly as we had imagined and hoped. Our original date was 10/10/20 but postponed a year due to covid. Alyssa was amazing throughout the entire time. She kept me up to date on what was going on in New Orleans and at the venue. When we were thinking about postponing yet again, she was so patient and understanding, not an easy task when dealing with a panicked bride. In the end we did not postpone again and everything was perfect! Alyssa and her team gave us a great wedding. The service was phenomenal. Our guests were so well taken care of. My Groom and I had Laura as our personal attendant. All we can say is WOW!! She was amazing. We didn't want for a thing. She always seemed to be right there with a fresh drink or whatever we might have needed. I swear she tied my grooms shoe when she noticed it had come undone. She was so lovely. It's obvious she enjoys what she does. We couldn't have asked for anyone better! The hotel is so beautiful. Our guests raved about how lovely it was. Our honeymoon suite was so nice. We had a two story room with a balcony. The downstairs living room was such a great place for the bridal party to get hair and makeup done. The balcony was our favorite spot for pictures and enjoying a glass of champagne once the evening was over. From beginning to end our experience with The Bourbon Orleans was wonderful. We are absolutely in love with the place as well as with the people. We plan to make staying in our honeymoon suite an anniversary tradition!!

We had a destination wedding and ceremony at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Alyssa Shaheen and the hotel staff worked very hard to host our party of 40 guests, at a time when the pandemic restrictions were just starting to lift! The hotel had been renovated and they did not have food service. However, the staff was friendly and efficient. Our wedding was in St. Anne's Cottage, which is a part of the hotel. It is self contained and BEAUTIFUL. Has a very lovely outdoor courtyard adjoined by two rooms. If you're having a small wedding (under 50) this is the perfect spot. Our guests had a blast. Our rooms were cleaned daily - even with a short staff and they did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. I can only imagine how amazing it is, once everything is back to normal!

I cannot express in words how wonderful my wedding was at The Bourbon Orleans. The pricing was competitive, the accommodations and location perfect. The "event" coordinators handled every last detail of the ceremony, the schedule, the vendors and the reception flawlessly. I never felt stressed the day of my wedding. SO MANY of my guests told me it was the best wedding they have ever attended. What a magical day!!!

We had an amazing wedding reception at St. Ann's Cottage at The Bourbon Orleans Hotel. If I could do it again, I'd make exactly the same decision in selecting this venue and working with planning coordinator Alyssa. I was particularly stressed since I was planning my wedding in New Orleans from my hometown of Tampa, Florida. From my first inquiry, Alyssa S. was fantastic in responding to all of my questions timely- and I had a lot! She worked with me on every detail including keeping within my budget, working with special meal requests, accommodations for my guests, and coordinating with my other vendors. Even though I knew she had many other events to coordinate, she made me feel like I was always the priority. The Cottage was a perfect for my 40 guests. We had plenty of room for the DJ in the courtyard and danced the night away. Pam was a personal assistant to us throughout the night and made sure we were all having a great time. She was outstanding! The food was very good. Our guests favorites were the Louisiana Crabcakes and the Filet Mignon.

The Bourbon Orleans Hotel exceeded my expectations for my wedding. The hotel is located in the heart of the French Quarter, which added to the character of the wedding venue. Working with Alyssa really put me at ease as she was able to answer my questions and provide guidance that I needed. During the planning process, Alyssa was readily available and provided me with recommendations, and trusted vendors for the various aspects of the wedding. Upon my arrival, the hotel staff was so welcoming and kind. The front desk manager went above and beyond to make sure that we were well situated with our accommodations. From my observation, she was pleasant, well-versed and guided the front desk staff with confidence as she demonstrated and walked them through steps for check-in. The bell hop, BCC, kept us entertained, always available to help and with smile or funny joke. On the wedding day, Alyssa and her team expertly coordinated the wedding and vendors and I didn’t have to worry about anything. As a testament to working with her team, I was calm and unstressed as I walked down the aisle. We started on time, and Alyssa kept the wedding and reception moving, with dinner and all the wedding traditional like cake cutting, first dance, toast, etc. Overall, it really was a pleasant experience having my wedding at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel.

When you think of getting married in New Orleans, this is the most ideal perfect venue! My husband and I got married there on the 12th of October and our expectations were exceeded! Working with Alyssa during the planning process was SO easy and she’s an amazing person! Since this was a destination I was nervous of how a few things would go, but she made it perfect! During our wedding weekend I stayed in the suite that was also my “get ready” room and it was beautiful! So spacious for multiple people to come in and out and to top it off there was a balcony to give it that NOLA vibe! During the wedding itself, I am at a loss of words!! Everything went so perfect! I had a bridal attendant named Pam and she was the most genuine great woman to help me and even my husband the entire night! I don’t think anything would have ran so smooth without Pam and Alyssa! The entire stay at the Bourbon Orleans was a dream and the wedding venue was perfect for our smaller wedding! I would have my wedding there again if I could!!

The St. Ann Cottage was a beautiful venue and the amazing staff, especially April, made our wedding incredibly fun for us, our friends and family.

Words really could not express our gratitude. The entire experience with Bourbon Orleans was phenomenal. Alyssa was so helpful throughout the entire process and helped us pull together everything we needed to create the perfect day. The entire staff at the hotel was absolutely incredible, from the valet team, front desk staff, bellman, to the sales managers. The entire team went above and beyond for our families and guests, including accommodating my brother who has special needs due to a disability. The day of the wedding their staff was there to make sure our day went perfectly. From top to bottom, the experience was top-notch. We could not have picked a better venue for our special day!

It was just the two of us and we both would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a stress-free, nothing but the 2 of you Wedding Day. Alyssa made everything extremely easy. We are from Nashville, TN so we had to communicate via phone and email. I simply sent "inspirational" photos of my bouquet and a wedding cake. Alyssa also arranged for the Reverend to officiate the ceremony and we spoke directly with him to write/pick our vows. She also arranged for the photographer. We just showed up and had a great time. We can't say enough about how pleasant the entire experience was. Complete with a bottle of Champagne and a welcoming letter we both give this entire Wedding Experience Five Stars!

The venue was gorgeous! The staff was so kind and attentive! Our suite was incredible! I truly can’t say enough about the Bourbon Orleans. They made our dream come true. The Bourbon Orleans has the best of New Orleans. Love the old world charm with a perfect view from the balcony. We have the best service and the staff was incredible. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! We plan of going back for our anniversary every year! <3

We had our ceremony and reception at the St. Anne's Cottage at the Bourbon Orleans and it was absolutely amazing!! We planned a destination wedding with 50 guests, the cottage and courtyard was the perfect setting. The food was delicious and the staff was great. Megan was so easy to work with. She was very responsive to my emails and phone calls. We couldn't ask for a more perfect wedding venue!

What an amazing staff and hotel! We booked the destination elopement package for a wedding of 10 people. We were struggling to find a venue that would host a small destination wedding, but Megan and her team at the Bourbon Orleans did not blink an eye! They treated our small wedding with the service and detail as though we were a wedding of 100. The hotel had several weddings that Saturday, but you would never be able to tell. Our attendant and the services received were beyond our expectations! The staff took such great care of us and our guests. Megan, our Sales Manager is an expert at what she does. She organized almost every piece of our wedding and is always in communication and a phone call away to make you feel comfortable miles away. The balcony for the elopement is right in the heart of the Quarter and Bourbon. The energy for the day was infectious. The food catered into the room was carefully tended to and delicious while the drinks were easy to have available. The balcony was a great party New Orleans style. The Bourbon Orleans truly made our day one of the best days of our lives. We cannot be more happy we found this perfect match for our wedding. We highly recommend for a small to large wedding. The entire hotel is gorgeous! Thank you again Megan and the Bourbon Orleans team for all your hard work!

Wow....words can not express how amazing Alyssa and the Bourbon Orleans Hotel and staff are, from day 1 they made us feel very special, like we were the #1 priority during their peak season. Alyssa was so easy to work with and always kept amazing and quick communication if any issue did arise. She gave us excellent recommendations for vendors and ideas that helped perfect every detail of our special day. The staff was also very attentive and welcoming the whole time we were there and were quick to respond to any request. The hotel and ballroom are beautiful and guests were very pleased with it, the location was perfect as it’s close to the bourbon party but tucked away on a beautiful street. Alyssa and the entire bourbon Orleans team knocked it out of the park. We will be forever grateful for their expertise and turning a plan into the greatest night of our life’s.

Bourbon Orleans is not only the most beautiful venue, the staff made my entire wedding a breeze. In the heart of the French Quarter, you just cannot beat the location, and the history of the ballroom really adds something special. Alyssa was very responsive anytime that I needed something or had a question--and trust me, I had many. My goal for our wedding day was to be able to show up, have a good time, and leave the stress of coordinating to the venue, and they took care of us so well! Even something as little as letting us sit away from everyone after the second line and making sure we sat down to eat before making our rounds with guests. I can't say enough good things about them and their team, and I cannot thank Alyssa enough for making sure our day was absolutely perfect! I highly, highly recommend them for your special day.

We had our Wedding at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel in New Orleans. I could not have asked for a better experience! Alyssa, our coordinator, was fantastic! Our guests were overwhelmed with the service provided from all aspects including registration, bartenders, servers & houskeeping! I cannot thank them enough, especially Alyssa, for all they did to make our special day become a magical experience! If anyone islooking for a place to have their special day, THIS IS IT!

What a great location and a Grand Hotel! Alyssa and her staff exceeded our expectations and handled any unforeseen circumstances quickly and took a tremendous amount of stress off of us as Bride and Groom. Made a once in a lifetime event smooth and memorable. Without a doubt a perfect choice for wedding and/or reception venue.

The St. Anne Cottage at the Bourbon Orleans was the perfect venue for our wedding day. We had the pleasure of working with Megan to plan our wedding weekend, and the experience was easy and stress free. During the planning process Megan met with us several times to tour the space, provided space diagrams, and joined us for a catering tasting. She was always quick to respond to any email inquiry (no matter how trivial). The Bourbon Orleans was a big part of our weekend. My husband and I stayed in one of the suites with a private balcony and many of our out-of-town guests stayed in the hotel too. The Bourbon-O bar on the First floor allowed us to reserve a section of the bar on a Friday night to host a welcome party. The entire staff were unbelievably friendly and courteous all weekend. Right before the ceremony began, Megan and a bridal attendant, Pam, met me in the room to walk me to the St. Anne Cottage (reminding me to breathe the whole way!). After the second line, Pam brought a plate of food for us to share and some champagne to drink before we joined our guests at the reception. I was not expecting to have a bridal attendant, but having Pam's help during the event made the reception go very smoothly, and we were always well cared for! The space itself is beautiful. We had a wedding of about 60 guests, and the St. Anne Cottage accommodated everyone perfectly without feeling too big or too crowded. The Cottage is three rooms and a courtyard. We gambled on the weather, but it paid off - the courtyard was charismatic with bistro lighting, brick walls and floor, and greenery - exactly the French Quarter wedding that we had dreamed of. I would not have changed a thing about our wedding day, the venue we chose, or the people that were involved in the planning and execution!

Everything about our wedding reception at the Bourbon Orleans was absolutely perfect! The ballroom was gorgeous, the staff was excellent and professional, and everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to! Alyssa as a wedding coordinator was incredible! I don’t think there are enough words to express how fabulous Alyssa and the entire staff at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel were for our wedding. My husband and I decided to have a destination wedding in New Orleans and were very excited after doing our site visit at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. We immediately fell in love with the hotel and as soon as we saw the ballroom we knew it would be perfect for our guests. And after meeting with Alyssa to go over all the details of our reception, we felt completely at ease and knew we were making the right choice. We had almost a year to plan our wedding and were very fortunate to work with her the entire time. She was VERY organized and quick to respond to any of our questions via email or phone, which made planning a wedding from afar much easier. When our big day finally arrived, we were so excited to see how well everything came together. During our reception we received so many compliments about the ballroom, the staff, and the food…everyone LOVED the food. Everything flowed so well from the time we arrived with our second line to our final dance and we owe that all to Alyssa and the Bourbon Orleans staff. THANK YOU!

If you are looking for the quintessential French Quarter wedding, look no further! Our wedding at the Bourbon Orleans was an absolute dream! From the start, working with Alyssa made planning from Chicago so easy. She was so patient with us and answered our many, many questions along the way. She is simply the best, and I don't know how we would have done it without her. The week leading up to the wedding, she made everything went perfectly. We felt so special from arrival to check out. Our guests raved about the food and how beautiful the ballroom was. The drink packages are amazing - we went with the base package that included liquor and all our guests were very happy with the selection. Our guests also LOVED the balcony! I can't compliment Alyssa and her team at the Bourbon Orleans enough. Our wedding here was even better than what we had envisioned.

This venue was a dream! From the ballroom, to the location, the service, and price, you can't beat it. Not to mention, Alyssa was amazing to work with. I was planing a destination wedding and I wanted to make sure I was working with venues who would have good communication, and she succeeded my expectations. She stayed in contact up till the day before the wedding. Day of was perfect, my husband and I had our own servers who took care of us the entire night, I always had a drink in my hand. The food was so yummy, all the guest loved it. I can't thank the hotel staff enough for such an amazing experience. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Again, thank you Alyssa for all your help creating our dream wedding, it was a night myself and guests will never forget.

My now husband and I just had our wedding reception at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel on 2/17/18. We looked at >15 venues in New Orleans to get married at, we are from Dallas, and fell in love with the Bourbon, especially with the balcony off the ballroom. We also had a welcome celebration at the Bourbon O Bar and personally stayed there during our wedding week. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue. First off, the ballroom is beautiful and incredibly historic. Secondly, the staff, including Alyssa, are AMAZING. Alyssa was so incredibly helpful during the wedding planning process, especially for being a destination bride. We only were able to make a couple of trips to New Orleans prior to the wedding but I wasn't once concerned since I knew Alyssa had everything under control. She is incredibly organized and on top of everything. In addition, she is incredibly sweet and kind and was a pleasure to work with. The staff at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel is incredibly helpful. We stayed in a couple of the larger suites and had food catered in the day of. It was such a relief to not have to think about these items on the day of and the staff/Alyssa made that possible. The food for the reception was excellent and we received multiple compliments from our guests on how great it was. If you want a historic, beautiful and New Orleans wedding, the Bourbon Orleans Hotel is an excellent fit for you. I would 100% recommend the venue and wouldn't have changed one thing from our wedding.

The Bourbon Orleans Hotel REALLY knows how to throw a wedding! I can't imagine anyone doing a better job. It was a magical, stress-free evening. I honestly don't have a single complaint. In fact- I've told everyone I know who isn't already married that they need to get married there. It was amazing. Now to begin my gushing- Megan was our coordinator and she was AMAZING. Janae ( I hope I'm spelling her name right!) was our day-of attendant and she was THE BOMB. We didn't want or need for anything, she was on top of everything and frequently one step ahead. She was an absolute delight- I wish I could have her with me all the time. From the moment we arrived the staff was so friendly and attentive- and I mean everyone from valets, bellman, desk clerks, everyone. Every detail was attended to. Everything was handled flawlessly. Megan made sure I knew exactly what was going on. She made sure I had a detailed itinerary that we discussed and planned together, and for things I was clueless on she helped guide me. She answered endless questions. She was so amazing, I could probably sing her praises forever. The food! Oh my goodness, pardon my caps lock but- THE FOOD. It was TO DIE FOR. Seriously- life changing. I'm going to have to figure out how to get my hands on some of it again. Janae brought my husband and I plates before anyone else got any (Yes- I got to eat at my own wedding- a lot. It was amazing.) When she saw what we loved, she brought us platefuls more. If I even casually mentioned something to someone, they made sure we got it. I always had a full drink or a bottle of water. They even helped pack up some of our decorations, which they weren't at all responsible for doing, but they did it. When we got up to our room there were plates and plates of leftovers for us to munch on, as well as a bottle of sparkling cider (we don't drink alcohol, and they remembered), and some chocolate covered strawberries. They really thought of everything (including things I never would have thought of) and made us feel so special. You hear so many horror stories about weddings, but the Bourbon Orleans staff are pros and you can tell. This venue is amazing. It's beautiful, it's historical, the food was outstanding. I honestly don't know what else you could ask for. All our friends and family agreed that it was amazing and have been gushing about it since. I haven't heard a single complaint, and I'd say it's a miracle but I really do think they just know what they're doing here. I am one happy bride!

TL;DR - This is the best venue in the quarter. If you want a wedding people will be raving about for years to come, have it here. I hate to admit it, but I am (was) a Bridezilla. I worked in the wedding industry as a photographer for 5+ years, and due to that, my standards are very, very high. My (now) husband and I had decided on a destination wedding in The French Quarter, because it has a very special meaning to us. We live in Austin and could not make frequent trips to NoLa, so we spent months researching and calling/writing venues. I had a lot of trouble getting ahold of most of the venues during planning. It sometimes took weeks for them to write us back, and they’d miss scheduled phone calls. This is where Alyssa and The Bourbon Orleans began to shine. When we toured all of our options for venue Alyssa was the *only* representative that we met with that was prepared . After meeting with her, we knew this was where the reception had to be. Just a few examples of how Alyssa and the staff went above and beyond: **Our wedding was DIY centerpieces and decorations, the staff made certain everything was delivered up to our rooms immediately so that flowers would not wilt.** ** Checked in on us after Hurricane Harvey** **Included a conference room for us to get ready in** **Located a space for my fiancé and his groomsmen to get ready at on the day of, because he had forgotten to set one up ** **Granted all the rooming requests we made (we had a block of about 20 rooms and almost everyone had some kind of request; this was no easy feat)** The day of, everything went on without a hitch. Jonae, our bridal attendant made sure our drinks were always full, and food was on our plates. She also went out of her way to make sure the immediate family was happy and treated as well. During cocktail hour and the rest of the night, all of the wait staff and Culinarian attendants were awesome! They all seemed to be truly enjoying themselves. They also went out of their way to make sure one guest with a food allergy was specially taken care of. The service did not stop the night of either! After the wedding, they upgraded us in order to let us stay in the same room, instead of moving into a smaller one, and continued to be awesome all the way through the weekend. A big shout out to Phillip as well, for helping my mother and aunt with drinks and also making the best Bloody Mary’s in the quarter. You all made our weekend perfect! If you are looking for a fairy tale wedding in The French Quarter, I highly, highly suggest booking the Bourbon Orleans. You will not regret it.

Let me start by saying I am local and from New Orleans. I wanted a traditional New Orleans wedding at a venue with true ambiance and New Orleans history. I fell in love with the ballroom it is so elegant and classy; from the chandeliers to the crown molding. From the moment I booked the wedding Alyssa the wedding coordinator was so proactive in getting involved in my planning. Alyssa was interested in my vision of my wedding and definitely made that vision a reality. Alyssa went above and beyond and when my day of coordinator backed out the week of my wedding. She took the roll and confirmed all my vendors, I can not thank her enough. Alyssa worked with me weeks prior laying out every little detail of the wedding set up. Alyssa also assisted in helping recommend vendors through all the craziness of planning. She was very prompt with communication through email and telephone. Alyssa spent time sending me photos from previous weddings and layouts. I could go on and on alyssa went above and beyond. Alyssa you made my entry table and last minute candy bar look fantastic!!! . I could go on and on alyssa went above and beyond.As far as the wedding at the Bourbon Orleans was extraordinary and beyond my expectations. Starting Thursday night we were welcomed into a suite with a personal card and complimentary gift from the hotel. The staff consistently check on us leading up to the wedding. The staff at the Bourbon Orleans went above and beyond keeping our rooms clean and accommodating us carrying our luggage etc. The wedding day I could go on and on from the setup to ever detail I got so many compliments on how beautiful everything was. We arrived at the Bourbon Orleans after our ceremony they set up a private dinner in our suite so we could eat before entering the reception. We had a very attentive bridal attendant Kishon who was awesome! The food was amazing shout out to Charles the catering manager the food rocked!!! The staff in the ballroom were so attentive to everyone providing them with drinks and food especially the elderly. My friends grandmother couldn’t stand and they ensured her seat did not get taken and provided her with food through the night. Once we arrived to the ballroom for our grand entrance alyssa had it organized where we immediately went to the cake table for cake cutting and pictures. From their on out we were able to enjoy the wedding and dance the night away. The staff made us feel so royal. Felix was our personal body guard, he followed me around the whole night ensuring no one spilled anything on me and provided me with drinks. He was the best. If you choose the Bourbon Orleans for your wedding venue you will not be disappointed. Thank you to the venue and the staff for giving me the most perfect and beautiful wedding day I could of ever dreamed of. We will definitely be coming back to visit soon. So sad it’s over!!

We had an AMAZING experience having our destination wedding at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. The food, service, atmosphere -- everything was perfect. We worked with Megan who was extremely gracious through months of changing plans and annoying questions. She helped us use every bit of this hotel to our greatest advantage to execute our plans: cocktail hour in Roux, reception in the Ballroom, after party at the Bourbon O, farewell brunch at the St Ann Cottage. She and the rest of the staff at the hotel also worked hard for us to make us feel comfortable and at home, which was desperately needed as a hurricane threatened to derail our wedding plans and we were quite stressed. Thankfully, the hotel and our vendors were flexible, and so we were able to move everything up 3-hrs on short notice rather than cancel (which many other people did around town). Ultimately, I don't believe we could've chosen a more perfect place to celebrate our love with family friends and I can't wait to return many times in the years to come to celebrate our anniversaries.

Amazing, Amazing! We live in Canada but fell in love with New Orleans on a previous vacation. When we decided to get married there we knew we wanted that vintage, romantic feeling. The Orleans Ballroom is just the ticket! Megan and the whole hospitality team were perfect - so responsive and dealt with our planner so well. The food was DELICIOUS. The room is so beautiful, many of our 90 out of town guests (from 8 countries) took photos of the decor! We really didn't need to do much to make the space pop. The pool courtyard was perfect for our spring ceremony. 6 months later, and everyone is STILL talking about our wedding.

I'm not sure I can begin to explain how spectacular our experience was with the Bourbon Orleans as our reception venue! My husband and I were planning a destination wedding in New Orleans and wanted the entire event to have a New Orleans feel. We knew we wanted a space that felt historic with vintage elegance, somewhere that you couldn't find just anywhere in America. That's exactly what we found with the Bourbon Orleans. We researched and viewed countless spaces and no other venue came close to the Bourbon Orleans' New Orleans charm, decor, and customer service. We knew we needed to find a venue that not only fit our vision, but also had exceptional customer service since we couldn't be in New Orleans ourselves. We worked with Alyssa throughout the planning process and she was nothing short of amazing! She completely outdid herself and made our dream wedding become a reality. She was so easy to get in touch with and made sure we were always on track with our plans so that everything ran smoothly. She gave us so many wonderful ideas to truly make our wedding special and memorable for my husband and I as well as all of our guests. Not only was every little detail perfectly executed, but all of our expectations were exceeded. The food blew us away in taste and quality. We had the best steak of our lives at the wedding! Not only was the food fantastic, but all of our guests commented about how wonderful the bartenders and cocktails were throughout the night. Every little detail was perfect and my husband and I were made to feel like royalty. We had a personal attendant the entire evening who made sure our every want was met. Our wedding felt like something our of a fairy tale. Every detail was perfection. All of our guests raved that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. This venue is nothing short of spectacular! My husband and I decided that we wanted to have a destination wedding in New Orleans that would have a lot of NOLA influences and the Bourbon Orleans Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. We met with Alyssa and she showed us the guest rooms, the ballroom, and the balcony. She even had a table set up so we could get a better feel for the decor. Alyssa was incredible to work with. She's kind, attentive, and very prompt in her responses. She was also able to provide a number of suggestions for small touches that would help to bring the whole day together. All weddings take a lot of work and planning. A destination wedding adds in the additional factor of the unknown and Alyssa helped to make it all seem so easy. She made sure that all of our guests that were staying at the hotel were well taken care of, as well as providing our parents with some additional amenities. The food was spectacular! It's always difficult to serve to a large group, but the staff had the experience to make everything come together seamlessly. The ballroom is gorgeous and feels like you're in a different era, which is exactly what we were going for. Since this is a historic hotel, my husband and I also like the idea of being able to return here for significant anniversaries throughout our marriage. Alyssa was very accommodating to all of our requests. She even coordinated for our Second Line band to play for our guests in the lobby before stepping off for our parade between the ceremony and reception. One key factor to planning a wedding or any large event is having exceptional vendors. Alyssa and the team at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel are exactly that.

We had our wedding reception at the St. Anne's Cottage at the Bourbon Orleans and it was absolutely amazing. The cottage and courtyard were beautiful and intimate. The food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our day went off without a hitch. We highly recommend a wedding here and if you have a chance to work with Megan, she is wonderful in helping plan every step of the way!

Everything was perfect from the planning that started in February to the day of. Megan at the Bourbon Orleans was amazing and always there with the answers to my questions. The day was great. I am so thankful we chose this as our destination wedding venue. If you love New Orleans, there are only a handful of balcolnies that you can get married on. I highly suggest this one!

We had a wonderful experience working with Alyssa as we chose a wedding venue. As an out-of-town bride, I cannot express how much I appreciated Alyssa's responsiveness to my emails and her proactive following up. She was so helpful in working with our budget and coming up with ideas to customize our options. The ballroom itself is beautiful and there is so much space to accommodate large parties. You'll know from your site visit (and other reviews) that you're in good hands. We really enjoyed trying the shrimp and grits (served in martini glasses) and etouffee. All in all, it was clear that Alyssa would be a great partner in planning an event and that Bourbon Orleans had the experience to pull of a party without a hitch.

When I decided to get married in New Orleans, the Bourbon Orleans was not even on my list of venues under consideration. However, I feel SO lucky that this is where we decided to get married! Alyssa made everything so easy and so wonderful! Having our guests stay onsite was so easy (all out of town guests). The balcony made it special and the ballroom was so gorgeous with the chandeliers. We did a sit down dinner and everyone raved about the food. I highly, highly recommend having your wedding here and working with Alyssa! Our day couldn't have been more perfect!

Our personal attendant day of was also so delightful - she really made sure we were taken care off throughout the night by even making sure I had hot tea in my room waiting for me as I was losing my voice from all the fun. Alyssa, who helped us coordinate throughout the year, was super attentive and great to problem solve with. Our wedding literally went off without any problems. So happy we picked the Bourbon Orleans Hotel for our destination wedding - we can't wait to visit them again!

We got married on June 11, 2016 and had our wedding reception (approx. 200 ppl.) in the Orleans Ballroom. We also had a lot of our guests stay in the hotel and my husband and me and my family got dressed in the suites. We cannot get over how amazing everything was for our wedding. Everything was so beautiful at the reception and the ballroom was such a perfect fit for us (classic, romantic, grand, but not oversize). All of our guests loved the food, bar, and balcony. Everything was just so amazing. Ballroom was so beautiful--did not need much for decoration--just used the candle votives provided by Hotel (Alyssa did a fantastic job of placing them in nice places) and had 1-2 modest bouquets done by the florist. Besides, the votives, I asked Alyssa to place some framed photos of my bridal portraits and some of our engagement shots around the guest book table, stairwell tables, and up in ballroom and by the bar. She did a perfect job, making all the little details just perfect and beautiful. We didn't have a wedding planner, so having Alyssa, our coordinator associated with the Hotel, was a lifesaver. She was very helpful and so professional during the event and earlier in the day (even when our limo bus didn't show up). Alyssa and the General Manager were also great to work with during the planning. They worked so well within our budget--maximized our value for the money we could spend. I had specialty beer flown in and delivered and the bar staff was helpful in holding the beer until my new husband, me, and the wedding party could get there. We had a live bind play as well as a Second Line parade at the end of the night--Alyssa was fantastic at coordinating all of it! It was a magical night! Our guests (half from out of town) were able to get a great experience of New Orleans. Hotel rooms were nice and clean--great location for out of town guests. The Corner Balcony suite worked great for my bridesmaids and me to get ready in. One small tip for Brides--if you're planning on getting a sound night of sleep the night before--ask for a room on the internal corridor--away from Bourbon street! Corner suite the night before was a bit loud but the hotel was able to provide earplugs which helped. :)

We had an amazing wedding in the Bourbon Orleans hotel. The location is perfect on the little less busy end of bourbon street but you're still right in the middle of the party. The hotel is beautiful and also a great location for good wedding pics. Our wedding coordinator Megan did an amazing job and was very well organized. We didn't have anything to worry about on the day of the wedding, she took care of everything. Had great food and staff during the reception. We had a blast!!

Best wedding ever! Our 9/10/16 wedding at the Bourbon Orleans was perfect. We worked with Megan from afar and were a little nervous about how it would all turn out, having never seen the venue, tasted the food, etc. But as soon as we arrived our fears were gone. All of our remaining questions about logistics were answered before we even asked them. The day of went smoothly, even with a short rain shower. Megan had a backup plan & moved our ceremony into an indoor room. We held our reception in the St. Ann Cottage, which was a perfect size for our 35 guests. The courtyard is gorgeous, even on a hot & humid evening all of our guests danced out there non-stop. The food was delicious, our guests raved about all of it, in particular the shrimp & grits! My wife & I were disappointed we didn't get to eat more of it! I want to make a special mention about the staff, we had a super sweet attendant who didn't let our glasses or plates go empty; the head server had kind words for us whenever he saw us throughout the weekend; and one of my favorite memories is dancing with my family & friends and seeing some of the servers dancing through a window, and then later joining in our conga line! Finally, for any LGBT+ couples looking for a venue, you couldn't ask for a better, more welcoming venue. We used their #lovewins package & every element was perfect. Thanks to everyone at the Bourbon Orleans!

Our reception venue was an excellent choice. Prefect location from the cathedral, the food was delicious, the saint anne cottage was the right size for our intimate group of friends and family! All our guests had a great time. Thank you for helping to make our special day unforgettable.

When my husband and I began looking for wedding reception venues, we did not think we would even consider a hotel. We thought it was too boring, and not unique and charming enough for a NOLA wedding. Until we saw the ballroom of the Bourbon Orleans! It is historic and lovely, and the balcony adds a little something extra (lagniappe as they say in NOLA). What really put it over the top, however, was the excellent impression made by the Senior Catering Manager Alyssa. Not only could I tell she was attentive and on top of things (something very important for a busy, nervous, type A bride), but she helped us come up with the most amazing and unique specialty cocktail for our big day! The entire experience working with the team at Bourbon Orleans was easy and pleasant. Our big day went off perfectly. Our guests raved about the food and drink, and the service was impeccable. The team also took very good care of my husband and I, and our family and friends during the entire stay. I cannot say enough how happy I am that we chose the Bourbon Orleans for our venue!

My husband and I absolutely love this hotel!!! The location, bar, elegant/vintage cottage with intimate courtyard, and bridal suite made our day perfect!!!! Most of all we Loved our wedding coordinator Megan. I knew I wanted to get married at this hotel after our first venue visit. Megan made me feel so comfortable with having a destination wedding and answered the million emails I sent her promptly. She has the patience of a counselor and she deserves to be recognized for the amazing work she does. During our stay the staff was very friendly and night of reception staff treated us like family! Do not ever ever ever book your wedding here, that is unless you want them to cancel on you 3 weeks prior and leave you scrambling around the city trying to piece everything together at the last minute. If that's what you are looking to accomplish, then the Bourbon Orleans is the place for you. Worst experience I have ever heard of and wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemies. Along with cancelling at the last minute, they have been very un-accommodating in trying to work with us to rectify the situation. For the rest of my life, i will recommend to anyone I speak to to stay away from this place.

If you have any hesitation about having your wedding at the Bourbon Orleans, stop reading this review and book IMMEDIATELY! Megan was absolutely amazing to work with. I've always heard that having a destination wedding can be stressful...I wouldn't know. Megan made everything so incredibly seamless and easy! I had originally chosen the St. Ann Cottage for our intimate Halloween wedding of 50. The weather wasn't cooperating, so Megan provided a couple of options. She was totally prepared. (You can tell this is not her first rodeo!) We opted for the ballroom. Although the rain held off (until after the Second Line parade, thankfully!), I was so pleased with the venue change, as it was absolutely beautiful. Everything was set up so perfectly! From the food to the staff to the gorgeous ballroom to the AMAZING bridal attendant, Kate...I could not have been happier! I lost count of how many “this is the best wedding I’ve ever been to” we got! Megan and her team gave us our dream wedding!

I don’t know where to start….. Megan is beyond AMAZING! She made the wedding process enjoyable, stress free and very easy! And I was planning it from another state. From the first meeting we had, my husband and I loved the St. Anne Cottage. We wanted our wedding to be intimate and fun. She and I emailed very often and she always responded quickly. As the big day got closer we would email at least once a day. I can’t say enough about the staff. MR CHARLES is AWESOME!!! The executive chief accommodated my food allergy which was greatly appreciated. He even made me a special shrimp appetizer. Going on 2 weeks later I am still receiving compliments on the appetizers and main course that were served. I got the chicken which was beyond delish but the pork chop had everyone talking. And it was not a little pork chop… it was HUGE! The bar… ahhhhh the bartenders made great drinks! The Bourbon Orleans is in great location so there were many options for our wedding guest. The room was always clean, huge bathroom and comfy bed. From the moment you open your car door at the valet you feel so welcome! Every person we came across was very helpful and you could tell they generally cared about us being happy. We are planning on going back in July 2016 for our 1 yr. anniversary. I had the wedding of my dreams at this hotel just 3 weeks ago. We did both the ceremony and reception in their ballroom. After looking at tons of venues around town, we saw this ballroom and knew right away it was the spot for us. It is the oldest ballroom in the city and has a glamorous feel and retains a lot of old-world charm. It has beautiful chandeliers, high ceilings, wonderful balcony and very classic window dressings. We worked with Alyssa who was fantastic from day one. The staff at the Bourbon Orleans are incredibly friendly and accommodating. They provided us with an amazing bridal suite and all our guests were very happy with their rooms. It was the best day of my life. Every detail was handled incredibly well and we had many compliments on the food. We ordered a large buffet selection for about 60 people and everyone loved it. They don't scrimp on anything here, and they treat you like royalty from the moment you arrive. Our photographer even commented that this was one of the best hotels he works with in the city, since so many other hotels treat a lot of the outside vendors for a wedding like they're a nuisance, but the Bourbon is very flexible and accommodating. I absolutely loved this hotel. In fact, I am currently suffering from post-wedding depression because I had such an amazing day and I have Alyssa and the Bourbon staff to thank for that!

I chose the Bourbon Orleans because I needed a medium sized indoor venue. The Bourbon Orleans Ballroom is classically beautiful and has a balcony which is a huge plus. The ballroom doesn't feel like your typical hotel ballroom. The guests said the food was good (I didn't eat any other than the food they took to our room for after the wedding). Megan Emboulas was wonderful to work with and was always available to talk and quick to respond to emails. All of my guests enjoyed staying at the hotel. My advice is to rent chiavari chairs and not us the banquet chairs or chair covers. Heavier looking chairs are too much for this space. Overall we were very happy! Selecting a wedding venue in New Orleans is overwhelming because there are so many options. You can't go wrong with the Bourbon Orleans.

Wanted a small destination wedding, this place was perfect. Myself and the guests were very pleased at the intimate quality this provided. We got married on the balcony overlooking bourbon street. The event coordinator was very attentive to all my needs and requests. If I was to do it all over again, I would choose this place again and again.

I used the bourbon orleans for my wedding venue. The reason I went with them was because not only is the hotel beautiful, but they allowed my dogs to be at my wedding too. It went all right but there were a few issues. Parking became kind of a nightmare, my stuff would repeatedly go missing and take forever to find, and the hotel staff seemed generally clueless about what was going on or that a bridal party was in the bridal suite. Probably the worst part though was that a bunch of the guests left early because no one from the hotel told them where to go (the ballroom) during the second line. On the plus side they boxed up a ton of food that we got to eat, so that was nice.

Out of all the beautiful hotels located in the French Quarter, the Bourbon Orleans was the only one that had it all! First, the location is amazing!! Located right behind the cathedral and close to some really unique shops (great for 2nd lining too:) Also, the lobby is gorgeous! Perfect for the guests to sit and chit chat if they're not up for hitting the streets. The rooms are nice but if you wanna splurge, get a balcony suite. It's worth every penny! So many great things here at the Bourbon Orleans including the joyful staff, that made my wedding weekend absolutely perfect. I worked closely with my wedding coordinator Alyssa Mistretta who put me totally at ease when I stressed to her any worries or concerns about the big day. She was wonderful!! She made sure we had everything we wanted and was very easy to work with. Obviously everyone gets super stressed over all the details that go into planning a wedding so a BIG shout out to her for making it so easy and being literally THE BEST DAY EVER!!

We had our reception at the Bourbon Orleans and could not be happier! We rented out the restaurant for cocktail hour and the ballroom for the reception. The staff was so friendly and the food was wonderful! Just about every guest complimented the food at the wedding. The food was so good that no matter how much we gave the guests they could not get enough. One of my friend's husbands could not come at the last minute, so they told the wait staff he was in the restroom when they were serving each course and then the table split the extra meal. The only downside to having food so good was that we were all so full by the end of the night. Alyssa made the whole planning process so simple. She was always available when I needed her and made sure I got everything I wanted. Thanks to Pinterest I was a bride with a very clear vision and Alyssa did everything I asked of her. If I had to do it all again I would absolutely use the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. The only negative I have is that they wanted our guests to book their rooms 2 months before the wedding which seemed a little far in advance to me. I thought by having the reception at a hotel I would have more flexibility with this.

“NOLA Themed Wedding @ Bourbon Orleans” Pending review My (now) husband and I had a truly memorable and amazing wedding weekend (Oct. 12-13 2013) -- and the staff at the Bourbon Orleans played a huge part in that. One of the reasons we picked B.O. for our wedding reception (we got married in Jackson Square) -- it's a boutique hotel, meaning this is no "wedding mill" where brides are rotating in and out all day long. And we hoped the staff would provide a level of personal service we might not receive at some of the area's larger hotel spots. But we were not prepared for the above and beyond attention the staff -- in particular, our wedding attendant, Megan Emboulas -- provided. Every step of the way, our requests were met, and then some. No special request went unheard, particularly when it came to the dinner at our wedding. We had a sit down, 5-course dinner, highlighting traditional New Orleans cuisine. Because we had a lot of "foodie" types as guests (a chef, a food writer, some wine aficionados), we wanted an amazing culinary experience. The bar was high. To get it right, the chef prepared 2 tasting meals before hand, and also agreed to a follow-up conference call in the days before the big event. "Cook like you're cooking for your mama," I told him. "Don't hold back on the flavor and the spice!" In the end, the food was outstanding. "Best gumbo I have ever had," a New Orleans native exclaimed. "I kept stealing from other people's plates," another guest confessed. Well done, Chef Joey Wells. Well, done. And even though we wanted certain wines and specialty beer that the hotel does not traditionally serve, they went out of their way to have those on hand for us, too. The reception was held in the quaint St. Ann Cottage, where a small bricked courtyard proved the perfect setting for our small wedding (we had about 40 guests). Servers were plentiful, so no one was left wanting for a wine pour or stuck with dirty plates for long. My husband's 13-year-old daughter even decided, last minute, to join us for dinner, and the kitchen happily threw together her favorite meal offering (grilled cheese sandwich and fries). And when, again last minute, we decided to continue the celebration in our huge Andrew Jackson Suite, with a wrap-around balcony overlooking Bourbon Street, the staff scrambled to set up a wine, beer and munchies station in our room. Our guests loved the hotel's location, too -- in the heart of the French Quarter, behind the famous Jackson Square and walking distance to so many iconic FQ destinations. Not to mention the hotel's wonderful history (for example, this is the spot where Andrew Jackson announced his candidacy for president... And yes, like most of best old places in the French Quarter, the hotel has it's own ghost stories, too -- ask about the confederate soldier often spotted wandering certain floors).
