We felt like at ease, happy and totally relaxed. I needed Samantha and didn’t even know it, I am forever indebted to her - she could not have been more attentive and wonderful. Comforting me, assuring me, getting me where I need to be and when. So friendly, kind and amazing. Thank god for Jake. He is so special and we’re so lucky we got him as our maître D. He deems himself as a “yes man” and he is not lying. Anything you could have ever wanted from him, he’d deliver. We wanted for nothing, had wonderful direction from him all night and he took care of EVERYTHING!  The night was flawless, amazing, perfect and all we could have ever hoped for. The staff at Bourne is unmatched, we made the right choice with this venue. Guests will be in awe of the venue and talk about the food for years to come. I wish I could do it all again. Since it is a mansion, it is well decorated, and we didn’t need to bring a ton of decorations or florals. Miriam was such a joy to work with and helped me figure out where to splurge / save. Steve, our maître’ d, was incredible. People warned me how you don’t eat, drink, or really enjoy your wedding and that was not the case for us. We ate, we drank, and we got to enjoy all aspects of our wedding.

The team, especially Steve, our event manager, and Samantha, our bridal coordinator were incredible and are sure to prioritize anything and everything for the bride and groom. Once our final check was handed in we never heard from Bourne or any lessing employee to follow up or check in day of or after our wedding. If I can choose again I would spend my money else where. Experiance was mediocre especially for the price tag.

Miriam was such a help throughout the entire planning process and on the night of the wedding, we were fortunate enough to have Steve as our maitre d, who kept the entire night organized, was extremely attentive and most importantly made the night fun for us and our guests. We had multiple guests tell us and our families that it was the best wedding they have ever attended. We are so happy we decided to have our wedding here and would recommend the venue to any couple.

She gave the most wonderful recommendations and I don't think our wedding would have been the same if we didn't listen to literally everything she suggested. The night of there was a chance of rain which would have been a disaster for our fireworks, so Steve did literally everything he could to get the food out sooner to ensure we had our firework show and no one even realized! He was a dream to work with that night and everything ran like clockwork. Truly the best team by far and the most incredible, beautiful venue we could have picked. Our guests are still raving about the food and the small amount me and my husband were able to eat during some down time was so good. I am still dreaming about the sushi. If you want the best wedding and something your guests will talk about non-stop, then Bourne is the place!

She went above and beyond and would answer our emails at all hours of the night! Steve, our maître de, made sure that the details at our wedding were executed perfectly. We did not miss a single special moment at our wedding because Steve made sure of it! Simply put he was and is the best! We were so lucky to work with Miriam, Steve, and the entire Bourne staff- they made our dream a reality! If I could give them a 10000 Star Rating I would!

Right from the first meeting we knew that her guidance as well as flexibility would be a huge plus, and it was. She provided us with helpful tips ranging from which vendors to use in the area to what gifts to get our wedding party. As we were trying to plan our wedding ourselves, it was really helpful to have someone who was so knowledgeable and willing to offer advice. It is a luxury venue but you get what you pay for and more. The food was incredible! Our guests (including one who is a professional chef) still talk about the cocktail hour spread six months later. Cocktail hour was the highlight of the evening, but dinner was great too. The service at the tables as well as in the bridal suite was impeccable. From our first visit to Bourne Mansion to the end of our wedding reception, we felt completely taken care of. They are all pros who have done this for a long time and you will be in excellent hands if you go with them. Thank you Bourne Mansion for our incredible wedding!

Steven is a must to make your wedding day run smoothly, he truly was the glue that held the entire day together! The food was also fantastic - we had lots of different stations and passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour, as well as late night snacks for our after party in the mansion at the end of the night. All of our guests said that they loved everything and were blown away! We couldn’t recommend Bourne Mansion and their team enough!

Now, when I say God did it, I mean it because He used my family, friends, strangers, and the team at the Bourne Mansion to make our wedding day better than we could have imagined. I usually don't feel compelled to leave reviews online. However, after my experience working with Miriam, Steve, and the staff at the Bourne Mansion, I felt the need to share. Let me start by saying that from our initial meeting with Miriam, I felt seen, a warming sense of compassion, and a genuine feeling of care towards me and my fiancé. Miriam, the Sales Director, was understanding, accommodating, friendly, comprehensive, and encouraging and she has a great sense of style. Seeing that I didn't have the average timeframe to plan a wedding when compared to most brides, naturally I was concerned about things like the wedding day schedule. When I tell you I didn’t have to worry about a thing on my wedding day once I reached the mansion, I didn’t have to worry about a thing. As Steve put it, "You’ll be on autopilot and I'll guide you." On our wedding day, I felt as if I could breathe, be present and enjoy myself. Now there were a few things that I wish could have been a different reality, but only because we ended up having to have the ceremony inside. Because we had to be inside, we wish we could have had a rehearsal at the mansion before the wedding. You see, our wedding party consisted of 16 people and it was a slightly tight fit in the front during the ceremony. I was later informed that one of my bridesmaids had to sit down because she felt a bit faint. If you're having a smaller wedding party then you don’t have to concern yourself with that as a possible reality. Another point that I think is important to highlight is that the kitchen is located behind the wall where the ceremony will be held. Some of the kitchen staff were conversing loud enough to where some of the groomsmen had to open the door, step into the kitchen, and ask them to stop talking during the ceremony more than once. Granted, my husband and I still enjoyed our day and didn't let that damper a thing. I’m not complaining about that, but believe it is important to note. I'm sure they weren't being intentionally disruptive, but I wish they were mindful of how the sound travels into the ceremony room. Besides that, we thoroughly enjoyed our wedding day and a month later people are still reminiscing about the food, ambiance, staff, and overall experience. I also want to note that Steve looks and sounds slightly intimidating, but he has a great personality and was a great guy to work with. He is both highly skilled and efficient in what he does as an MD. Steve and his team took care of our vendors and we were able to take a good amount of food home with us after the wedding. If my husband and I were to get the chance to redo our wedding day, we would have it at the Bourne Mansion again with a few minor adjustments. They took care of my 94 year old grandma who has difficulties walking which was fantastic. They are extremely detail oriented and it was such a wonderful experience. The grounds are beautiful, as is the mansion. We had an absolutely gorgeous day and could barely get our guests inside to dance. The sunset over the water was spectacular. We are so happy we booked the Bourne Mansion for our wedding!!

I can honestly say that Bourne Mansion exceeded our expectations, and made everything the day of run SO smoothly and perfectly. Miriam was fabulous about answering our many late night emails, and Steve made sure he executed on everything we had outlined to him in our detailed notes. Even when we noticed one thing off when we previewed the ballroom before all other guests (we wanted to have normal bride/groom chairs instead of the fancy ones), Steve immediately had them replaced within seconds! Everyone at Bourne is so experienced and they know exactly how to run a wedding, keep the bride and groom happy, keep the parents of the bride/groom and everyone else happy and stress free, so that they can enjoy the special day. I am eternally grateful that they made our wedding so fabulous and that I can feel that every penny was well spent on this venue. All of our guests continue to rave about how absolutely stunning and well executed our wedding was. Thank you again to everyone at Bourne for one amazing wedding!!
