Beautiful venue. Our wedding turned out great and everyone loved the atmosphere. Overall pleased with hosting our wedding here and would recommend it to other future couples. Pros: spacious, the coffeehouse is super nice, staff correspondence was prompt. Really a blank slate for you to design your dream wedding! Cons: the bar package is a bit goofy, bridal suite didn’t have products restocked in the bathroom prior to our event, people were in our venue during the day of for a rehearsal which we thought was strange and would have appreciated notice about.

We got married on 10/13/23 at Boxed it was an amazing experience. Our original plan was to have an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Of course, it downpoured all day long, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. The great thing about this space is that every single area is stunning, even the backup plan. We were married in front of the big sliding glass doors, and something about the moody Friday the 13th rain as a backdrop was so stunning. The communication with all of the staff leading up to the event was incredible. Matty really kept us in the loop in checked in with us leading up to the big day. If you are even slightly considering this space as your venue, just book it. You will not. be disappointed. Our Friday wedding allowed us to set up Thursday night which really helped to alleviate stressors going into the wedding day. Also having coffee at our disposal really helped those jitters too! *Pro tip: We stayed at the Belfry house next door to the space after the wedding and it was a stunning luxury experience that helped to top off the entire day.

Communicates very well with you! Very fast responses and just down to earth nice people! Any question I had they answered! On top of that the venue is BEAUTIFUL! Highly recommended!

I just wanted to send a note on our wedding day and just let you and your team know how much we appreciated everything you did to make our wedding day so amazing. Every single person was so helpful, polite and willing to help out with anything we needed, from the very start of reaching out to the venue and getting a tour, to any last minute questions we had throughout the planning process, to the set up the day prior. EVERY employee was amazing and we truly can't thank you enough for that. The venue itself is beautiful and we had received so many compliments throughout the day and night just about the venue itself. Having our ceremony inside I was a little nervous about the flipping of the venue, but yet again your staff really showed up and made for a stress free day for myself and my Husband. Also having the Batten house for the girls in the morning and for the wedding party throughout the day was so amazing, it was great to have a space for us to gather when we wanted to be away from the guests prior to our grand entrance and just to hang out and store our stuff in. We just wanted to thank you for everything, we highly recommend this venue and your staff to anyone planning their wedding, 5 stars for sure!

My husband and I had our wedding at Boxed and Burlap and we could not be more impressed!! Leading up to the wedding working with Matty was amazing, He answered every question and helped us with so much. The day of could not have been better from getting ready in the stunning Batten House, to having coffee available for our wedding party and guests, it was all simply perfect! It was fun to see people enjoying their coffee on the patio while getting ready for the wedding initially I was nervous about the coffee shop remaining open but it was sweet to be congratulated by all enjoying their coffees and no one came into the Batten House/disturbed any of the wedding setup. We got married inside and the staff flipped the room from ceremony to reception so quickly and beautifully. Our guests got to enjoy the patio with fire pits and the barn it was great! There was something for everyone to enjoy and places to hang out. We truly could not have picked a better venue. - the Kuhls

We loved this venue! In particular, all of the staff members were helpful and responsive. The point person, Matty, got to know us as a couple and always answered our questions and helped us to plan the space out. The barn area is very clean and large and spacious. We had about 170 people attend our wedding and there was room to spare. The grounds are very well kept. We had our ceremony outside and the space was perfect. The restrooms were very clean and had more than enough capacity for everyone. The Battenhouse was a great space to get ready in and have an area to get away from guests. The coffee house on the grounds was also a really nice perk, especially because our guests got free coffee! I highly recommend this venue to anyone interested.

Boxed and Burlap gave us exactly what we wanted in a venue - beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces plus something unique (coffee shop!). It was a pleasure working with their team and the vendor list they provide was so helpful. I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding!

The venue is absolutely gorgeous and Matty was phenomenal to work with! He addressed all of our concerns and questions quickly and helped us SO much with all of the planning. Most of our vendors were already familiar with him and had nothing but rave reviews. The venue helped with set up/break down of tables/chairs and clean up and everyone was incredibly friendly. The coffee is also amazing!!

I can not recommend Boxed and Burlap enough. When I initially inquired about having our wedding there, Matty was very responsive and provided me with so many details via email. We scheduled a tour and I appreciated his honesty about the wedding industry in general. He was very personable, knowledgeable and the tour sealed the deal for me. The entire venue is beautiful. Not only do you have a beautiful reception area, but your guests get access to the coffee house (and coffee!!) during your wedding. And the coffee is insanely good. Matty and Cathy were very responsive and answered all of my questions leading up to the big day (and I had a lot!). When we arrived, tables and chairs were already set up and that removed a lot of stress from our morning. The venue coordinators were also amazing. They checked in frequently and helped make the day easier. The bartenders were also very personable and I enjoyed getting to talk with them through out the night. The venue coordinators helped us clean up at the end of the night. Overall, I was very impressed and they went above and beyond for our day. The entire venue and day were beautiful and the staff was incredible. If you book your wedding or event with Boxed and Burlap, you will not be disappointed!!

Getting married at Boxed and Burlap was amazing! Matty was great in answering all the questions we had leading up to the wedding and was in communication with us throughout the process. The night before, they allowed us to set up which was a huge help in making our wedding day as stress free as possible. The day of contact, Kieyana, was there to help us with set up and was there early on the day of the wedding. She helped us usher in all of our guests during certain periods of the night and made sure we never were empty handed :) Great Job!

This venue was the venue of our dreams for our wedding! Communication with the vendor manager/coordinator was incredible up until the day of our wedding. Long story short, we had to work with a back-up coordinator and it caused a lot of headaches throughout the day... BUT the back-up tried her best! Nevertheless, this venue was incredible. And not to mention the free coffee during weddings! That was a HUGE hit with our guests. P.S. ALL staff were wonderful to work with. Matty and his crew are very accommodating and truly want to make your dream wedding come true.

Boxed & Burlap was amazing! They were so easy to communicate with throughout the whole planning process. We loved that we had the opportunity to use both the indoor venue and the outdoor space. We had so many guests tell us how much they loved the venue as well.

If you’re thinking about having your wedding at Boxed and Burlap - do it! Hands down best decision (besides getting married 😉) we made! Matty was the biggest help and the space is absolutely beautiful!! Do yourself a favor and just book with them!

We loved the venue!! Everything went so smoothly. Matty was great when we first met him and we loved working with him. Overall the wedding night was great, the venue is beautiful, and we had a great time!

We had a truly amazing experience with Boxed and Burlap. Matty was FANTASTIC and so accommodating/ easy to work with/ quick to respond. The bartenders, on-site coordinators, security detail, etc. were also just wonderful. We had such a gorgeous wedding at this venue and so many people mentioned how beautiful, unique, and fun it was. There were some flies in the barn the day before our wedding- after mentioning it to Matty and his team, by the next day, there was not a fly in sight. I couldn't have asked for a better and more accommodating experience with Boxed and Burlap and would 10/10 recommend them to anyone!!!

Where do I begin? This is by far the best place to have a wedding!!! After postponing 3 other times due to Covid (different venue and locations) Boxed and Burlap was our saving grace!!! Matty the venue coordinator was extremely supportive and organized which made the process stress free. On the day of the wedding Matty and the rest of the Boxed and Burlap team was so helpful and provide the best service to us and our guests. Our wedding day was nothing but perfect. We would highly recommend Boxed and Burlap to any couple!

My hubby and I got married in June, 2021 at Boxed and Burlap. The venue is gorgeous, but what is really special about this venue is the amazing support of the wonderful staff! Matty was SO HELPFUL throughout the whole planning process and on the day of our wedding. I would highly recommend Boxed and Burlap to couples seeking a venue for their wedding.

If you are thinking about having your wedding at Boxed and Burlap, do it. My husband and I can't say enough good things about our experience with Boxed and Burlap, Matty, and their whole team. The venue is gorgeous and you can easily bring any vision to life. Everything that is included within their rental package made it a no-brainer for me and my now-husband. Planning our wedding on our own, Matty made it painless, taking all of our questions and offering suggestions to make sure our dream could come to life. It was truly the best day of our lives yet.

We got married at Boxed & Burlap in May and wish we could re-live it every weekend. It was truly the most perfect venue for our wedding day! Matty was absolutely amazing, he was always available for questions throughout the planning process and checked in throughout the wedding day to make sure we were happy. Knowing that Matty had everything under control on our wedding day put us at ease - his attention to detail was awesome and we were just able to enjoy every moment of our wedding. This venue has a lot of elements that will make your wedding unique - if you're considering getting married in the Lake Geneva/Delavan area, you MUST book at Boxed & Burlap!

We got married at Boxed & Burlap in November 2020. The venue is gorgeous & very spacious! Matty is AMAZING & made the planning process so easy! He was there the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly & answered all the questions we had. The only aspect of the day that disappointed us was the barn & bathrooms were extremely cold - our guests were in their jackets the entire time. Our caterer also lost power on the back wall which also resulted in our meal being cold too. Bar prices are extremely high as well! Would recommend for your big day if you’re willing to pay a bit more to upgrade your space with rentals.

God I don’t know where to begin. This was the first and only venue we toured. We were immediately sold. Functioning as a coffee shop during the week, with a patio with open mic nights during the summer, this place on a regular day is magical...so just imagine on a wedding day. It is owned by John and Lindsay Neighbors who built it essentially from the ground up and brought their vision to life, special shout out to all of the landscaping coming from trees from their own tree farm. We got this place during COVID when all the weddings were shut down, so John and Lindsay were like hell we have time let’s throw in some pergolas, spruce up the bathrooms, make general upgrades for fun. So by the time we got married it was even cooler than our first visit. On the day, EVERY drink from the coffee shop was free to everyone associated with the wedding. This was my favorite part, and something I haven’t experienced at any other venue we’ve ever attended a wedding at. The venue director Matty was a FRICKEN ROCKSTAR and was genuinely the first person in wedding planning to get me to relax. He was there every step of the way to help organize and understand everything related to the wedding, even regarding vendor things, and then was there as the day of coordinator (included in the venue price) to make sure the day went perfectly (along with two other security staff to do any job we needed done). Everyone we encountered with our venue made us so confident and happy with our decision, and we love that we can go back and relive our day there on any day at the coffee shop.

One word: AMAZING. We chose Boxed & Burlap for our wedding venue back in November 2019 for our wedding in October 2020. Matty, John, Cathy and team were so unbelievably easy to talk to and always were so willing to work with us! We could not have asked for a better team to help us pull off our perfect day! Not to mention, the venue itself is absolutely GORGEOUS! Highly recommend Boxed & Burlap for future couples looking to get married in the Lake Geneva area!

From the inquiry email to the big day, myself, my groom, and my family and friends can not say enough about how WONDERFUL Boxed and Burlap was to us! The day that I toured the venue, I brought along my mom, sister, and cousin. Matty greeted us so kindly and bought us all coffee from the adorable coffee shop. He then proceed to sit down with us and actually get to know us all before touring the venue. This was such a personal and genuine gesture that really showed how much the entire B+B staff cared about their guests and clients. In the months leading up to the wedding, Matty and Cathy were so responsive and accommodating to all of my emails, questions, and concerns. I was so grateful to have their assistance with rentals, the bar, and setup! The day of the wedding, Matty was so attentive to my groom and I, checking in often to see if we needed anything. He even checked in with our parents to see if they needed any drinks during dinner which went a long way with both sides of the family. I am from a huge family and have already had so many people tell me that they want their wedding at Boxed and Burlap. With the fantastic service, incredible location, kind owners, and of course...delicious coffee...I cannot wait to go back and celebrate more weddings soon! You walk into this venue and it’s just so breathtaking, all the little details that make up this venue make it exactly the best place to host a wedding. On top of that all the team members you will encounter while having a wedding here are just the best people. So if you’re looking for amazing people, an amazing space and a magical night I would absolutely recommend boxed and burlap.

Boxed and burlap was an absolute dream wedding venue! At first I was apprehensive of the location being further away from a lake front than I envisioned HOWEVER, it made for the perfect venue with the coffeehouse, patio, and batten house all included. Matty was so great to work with, open and honest communication always, quick too! We have no complaints about the venue, only amazing things! Our guests loved the open feel of the environment with the barn doors open and having the patio to hang out on as well! The batten house was perfect for the bridal suite. Great people, easy to work with, and amazing accommodations! Highly recommend!

Amazing venue!!! We had our wedding here at Boxed and Burlap on July 4, 2020. It wasn't our original venue, but due to COVID-19, we had to find another venue that would accommodate our wedding under these unique circumstances. As luck would have it, the owner of our DJ company (Matty Collins) referred us here, as he is also the sales director at Boxed and Burlap. One visit to the venue and we fell in love with it!! It is the perfect combination of rustic and modern. Extremely charming with its beautiful expansive lawn, cobblestone patio, quaint little coffee shop, and elegant barn. They were so flexible with our situation and were able to honor our requests in order to have a safe and socially-distanced wedding. Bonus: all of the drinks prepared inside the coffeehouse were free for our guests! Everyone was so impressed with the venue and we were getting compliments on it the entire night! We could not be happier with how things turned out. Thank you to Matty and Cathy for being so responsive, helpful, and wonderful to work with! And thank you to the owner, John, for creating such a gorgeous space and allowing us to have our wedding here! It was truly the wedding of our dreams!!

This review will be a little different than most in that my fiancé and I are not actually getting married here - but our experience with Boxed and Burlap has been nothing short of fantastic, and we felt they were more than deserving of an honest review to shine a light on their spectacular venue and service. We have two experiences with Boxed and Burlap - the first was a wedding in the fall of 2019. The ceremony was outside and the reception in the Barn. Everything was great from the top down, the venue is beautiful (and now in our venue search, we've found there were additional renovations such as doors, heat & AC, and more since then), the DJ was great, and the coffee house was just icing on the cake ;) The second was in the midst of the rapid changes due to Covid-19. Due to restrictions, we had to change our venue location for our wedding this summer. Matty was so helpful in his transparency in communication, sharing so much helpful information, and going above and beyond in answering our questions and providing help in any way he could as we searched for a venue and considered Boxed and Burlap - a true high level professional. The only reason we didn't end up moving forward with Boxed and Burlap is because they were over an hour away from our original location (we would have had to change caterers, hotels, etc.), and we were able to find a venue very close to our original. Otherwise, Boxed and Burlap would have been it! If you're looking for a beautiful venue with top notch staff to work with to host your wedding at, definitely get in contact with Matty at Boxed and Burlap!

Beautiful wedding venue! This review is for the wedding venue. This whole property is so charming and versatile. There are several areas of usable space. There is a nice patio space with fire pits which they lit for us. The yard space is where my daughter and son-in-law chose to have the wedding ceremony, but it could be used for yard games if the weather was warm. The barn itself is beautiful with heat and two large glass doors at each end. As the MOB I really appreciated having an option for an indoor ceremony if the weather got bad. It is such a beautiful interior space that the wedding would have been beautiful indoors too. The barn is big and I worried it might feel big with a reception of about 120 people, but it was inviting and beautiful. Two unique spaces which we really appreciated were the Batten house and the coffee shop. The bridal party used the Batten house from 10 am on the day of the wedding which comes equipped with a fridge, sink and 2piece bathroom. It was very bright with natural light and spacious, with ample electric outlets for hair and makeup to be done. The coffee house is a beautiful space. It became exclusively available to our wedding event at 6pm on the day of the wedding with free beverages. They had a barista who served non-alcoholic coffee drinks+tea, cider, cocoa. It has a very nice handicap accessible bathroom. I really loved this space and so did our guests. We set up the cake in there and people came over and enjoyed a hot beverage with the cake. Our daughter chose to have draping done inside the barn to frame the dance floor. Boxed and Burlap's event manager, Matty, was very accommodating and helpful executing this design. The draping was gorgeous, done by Heidi at Modbloom.net. We also rented chairs as an upgrade from Collins Custom Creations which was very reasonable and looked great. Our caterer was BelAir Cantina who did a spectacular job. Since my daughter lives out of state, it was a little intimidating as the MOB to facilitate the decisions she wanted for her wedding, but Matty always got back to me with answers to my continuous questions. He also helped us find vendors who fit our needs, like the draping. Matty was with our event the whole day of the wedding which was a comfort. He was attentive, considerate and very helpful, giving us any information we needed to know to make the day great. Our daughter and son-in-law LOVED their wedding. Thank you Matty for helping to make it a success start to finish! Thank you Cathy and John for all your behind the scenes help!

We had our wedding at boxed and burlap in October of 2019. It was truly the best day of our lives. The staff was easy to work with, the location is great for out of town guests (plenty of hotels and things to do with lake Geneva nearby), and the coffee shop being exclusive to the wedding was the best part! If I had to plan it all again, I’d absolutely pick this venue again.

We recently held our daughter's wedding at Boxed and Burlap and the experience we had was exceptional. Matty and his staff were so kind and helpful and we were so pleased with the attention that was given to make sure the wedding was special and ran smoothly. We were so impressed with the Venue and received many compliments from our guests. We had hopes to have the ceremony outdoors, but due to a cool and rainy day, the ceremony was held inside. The barn is definitely spacious enough to accommodate that and it was even more beautiful and romantic being able to watch the rain through the giant glass windows. It was perfect!

Choosing to have our reception at Boxed & Burlap was one of the best of many decisions we made throughout our engagement. Aside from the venue's obvious beauty, the people with whom we worked, were even better. Throughout the planning process, we had direct contact with the owner and accountant. We were able to call them directly with any questions and clarification that we needed. They made themselves available to us always and were beyond accommodating to our various ideas and requests. The owner, John, is constantly changing and updating the space in ways I didn't even realize it needed. I couldn't be happier with the appearance of our venue on our wedding day, but I know that it will only continue to become more and more amazing with his constant hard work and dedication to the space. We received so many compliments from our guests regarding the natural beauty of the venue, the unique coffee shop, and how open and spacious the barn was while also appearing comfortable, classy, and complete. I cannot recommend Boxed & Burlap enough as not only a wedding venue, but also a beautiful and relaxing stop on your way through the Lake Geneva Area!

Our wedding experience at Boxed & Burlap was a dream come true. The venue is beautiful and elegant. The owners and team members are responsive, helpful and down-to-earth. The barn was everything, but the team really helped to ease all of the stress that comes with planning a wedding. There are plenty of great photo opportunities at this venue as well. We are so blessed to have had such an amazing wedding experience here and continue to pop into their coffee shop on occasion to reminisce.

We just had our wedding at Boxed in Burlap in June 2019. The most telling thing I could say is that we would choose to have it there all over again. The venue is so unique and has a lot to offer guests at a wedding. People enjoyed the coffee house, patio, and barn equally. We had an incredibly hot summer day and our guests ordered every type of iced coffee drink on the menu. Many of our non-dancer guests found themselves outside under the stars hanging out on the patio while talking, drinking, and making s'mores. There is a little something for everyone. Working with John (the owner) and Matty (the event coordinator) put us at ease. John is a man of his word and followed through on promises even at the cost of profits. He ultimately wanted our day to be special and that meant a lot to us. Matty was terrific! He has a ton of experience in the industry. He was very thorough and responsive to all of our communication. I would highly recommend any couple looking to get married in the Lake Geneva area to check out Boxed and Burlap! My wife and I are also very excited to go on dates to Boxed and Burlap in the future for coffee and farmers markets. Not many people get to visit the place they got married as often as we will!

They have done so much work to this venue since we first rented it in 2017. Most recently the beautiful glass doors on the sides that allow you to have the view without the heat or rain. This barn is also air conditioned unlike many of the similar venues which is just amazing for summer weddings. You get the modern convenience of air with the rustic feel of the barn and patio. The staff here really rounds out the whole experience by going above and beyond leading up to and during your event. I could not recommend them more!

My wife and I got married at Boxed & Burlap on 10/7/17. Obviously, there are a lot of decisions that go into planning a wedding. Deciding to have our reception at Boxed and Burlap was easily the best one on our list. The staff at Boxed & Burlap will take care of you not only on your wedding day but every day leading up to it. The venue is great and is always decorated to fit the season. For our wedding, we were able to utilize the coffee shop, the batten house and the barn. All three of these locations are right next to each other and they blend together perfectly. Since our wedding, John and his staff have put in a ton of work making this venue even better! We loved it in 2017, and will continue to love it for many years to come. My words about this venue are not enough to explain how PERFECT it is for a wedding, so I strongly recommend checking it out yourself and enjoy some coffee while you are there. ( I don't have enough words to describe how good the coffee is as well :) ) All in all, B & B is in great hands and we will continue to be frequent customers for years to come.

Boxed and Burlap was a wonderful venue for my wedding ceremony and reception - I could not be happier! The owner, John, is kind, generous, professional, and has created a lovely space to be married. I could not speak more highly of our experience with John. He worked extremely hard to prepare the venue for us, and, was present for our full event to ensure things ran smoothly. We were incredibly lucky to have been able to work with John for our event. Besides lovely owners, Boxed and Burlap also offers a charming setting. The coffee house is straight out of a Chip and Joanna Gains show, and a great spot for guests to relax and have a "cup of joe". The batten house has a wall of windows, which was perfect lighting for me and my 10 bridesmaids to get ready. The field was a great location for our ceremony, and a massive pine tree made for perfect backdrop. The large barn is clean, simple, and a bright space for dinner and our reception. We were excited to find a ring of hanging flowers hanging from the ceiling - such a charming touch! The guests also loved lounging on the string-light patio during cocktail hour, and enjoyed the fire pits in the evening. Overall, our experience with John and the venue was an extremely positive one. This venue is going to grow and become a big hit in the wedding world, I just know it!
