We hired Brick and Ivory Events in December 2018 for Full Service planning of our wedding in May 2020. Long before the pandemic complicated our wedding plans, my now husband and I were so thankful that we had Ali’s help selecting vendors and making decisions. Seriously, after every meeting with Ali, we would turn to each other and say, “wow, I’m so thankful we chose her to help us.” When the pandemic began and we had to postpone our big day, Ali made the process so much easier. She worked with our team of vendors to identify which dates in the remainder of the year they would each be available. We were able to select another date that worked for everyone, so we didn’t have to rebook any services. It was such a relief that all we had to do was select a new date, while she took care of all the communication with our vendors. Ali is well-connected in the local community of wedding vendors. She was able to recommend vendors that fit in our budget, worked with the vibe of our wedding, and that she knew would be a good team to hire. We saved money from our original budget because Ali knew where to prioritize spending. She decorated our venue beautifully and executed our wedding vision perfectly. Every step of the wedding planning process was more efficient and less stressful because of her help. On top of everything, Ali is a good human. If you are considering hiring a wedding planner, 1. You definitely should; and 2. It should be Brick and Ivory Events.

Ali with brick + ivory killed it. Even a week after the wedding, my parents are still going on about how thankful they were that we hired Ali. The entire week leading up the wedding was controlled so seamlessly by Ali, and I can't even explain how effortless the reception was (for me, not her!) because her and her team just handled everything. She picked up all of the decorations from our house the week of, organized all of the vendors, set up the reception, stayed late picking up, brought all of our belongings back to our house the week after and so much more that I don't even know about because I got to just enjoy the weekend and be in the moment. Cannot recommend her enough.

Ali is AMAZING! I literally cannot say enough great things about her. She absolutely was a huge reason why everything went so smoothly at our wedding. She answered all my emails and texts right away and always provided great recommendations. We had small hiccups during the wedding, but she was able to step in immediately and take care of everything. I seriously cannot thank Ali enough for all that she did months leading up the to the wedding as well as they day of our wedding. She's the best :)

I don't even know where to begin! Booking Ali was one of the best decisions we could have made. We booked Ali as our planner and day of coordinator. She was very professional, fun to be around and overall made the entire experience enjoyable. She is so knowledgeable and organized which was huge for me. I wanted to keep the big day as stress free as possible for myself and she delivered just that. A stress free wedding day. She handled all vendor communication and put out any fires the day of without me even knowing! I can't recommend her enough. We are so thankful we had her!

We hired ali to be our coordinator for our wedding and were so happy with our decision. she was so fun to work with and was super laid back but also incredibly organized and made sure we didn't miss a single thing leading up to our day. We had off and on rain issues all day and with an outdoor ceremony that made me super nervous. While I'm sure she would have preferred to setup our ceremony MUCH earlier, her and her staff setup as last minute as they could to ensure our ceremony was outside and that none of our stuff got rained on/ruined. Our venue was pretty hands off both before the wedding and during and Ali made sure that she handled anything they wouldn't. The fact that no one had to do any cleaning and Ali just brought us our items a couple days later was one of the best parts. I dreaded cleaning up all of our stuff and that was just handled for us

Hiring brick and ivory was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. we decided to book the full service package and we had help with EVERYTHING including finding vendors (she made sure we didn't initially reach out to anyone out of our budget), dealing with those little things where I had no idea where to stay (rehearsal dinner and hotel room block), and of course the day itself was so easy. we got married in kc but my fiancé and I lived in different cities at the time (neither of which was kansas city) and our parents were long distance too. I would have absolutely lost my mind without her help. we had the BEST day

Where do I even start. Hiring Ali as my DOC was easily the best decision I made in the entire process. Anyone who feels like they don't need a coordinator. They can handle it. They're family friend or Aunt Linda can take care of everything, I was that person too!!! I didnt hire Ali until I was about 8 months out (we had a 2 year engagement) Everything was planned. Vendors were hired, designs were made, everything was done. We were just waiting for the day to get here. And then the questions started. Timelines, and who goes where, and who does what, and what about this person and are you doing this? SO. MANY. QUESTIONS. I was already feeling overwhelmed and I could only imagine the questions people would have the day of. So here comes Ali. She answers all the questions, handles all the things, and barely bats an eye. My wedding was perfect, in the sense that, it was absolutely everything I wanted it to be. And I 100% attribute that to Ali. We did have things go wrong, but Ali adapted, communicated and remedied before I even knew what was happening. She doesnt miss the little details. Want to incorporate something special? Shes got it. Have a fiance that is a total control freak and wants to do everything himself? Shes there when you need her. The best thing about hiring Ali, was that when someone had a question or concern, I could say "Go find Ali" and she was there and handled it. Hire Ali. She's the kindest, most genuine, no bullshit person out there and will make sure your day is 100% about you.

First off, how anyone can manage their day without Ali there coordinating everything is beyond me. There is SO much going on throughout the day of, and Ali is an absolute expert in navigating it all - from ensuring everything is set up correctly, to having everyone in the right places at the right time, to keeping things flowing, to ensuring everyone is having an absolute blast. Ali is a queen. My husband and I didn't do a first look and instead chose to see one another for the first time when I walked down the aisle. Somehow, someway, despite being in the same building for an hour before our wedding taking photos, Ali ensured that we never crossed paths and ruined that moment. We also had a lot of special little moments that we wanted to make happen - Ali kept track of it all and made sure it was all happening as we needed it! I can't thank Ali enough for being her AMAZING and incredibly FUN self on our wedding day. My husband, one to very rarely say this, insists that she is the best money we spent on our day (and my husband hates spending money - so that's literally nicer than anything he's even said to me.)

We had an outdoor ceremony and an outdoor reception in September which as anyone knows, that is a big gamble. We had a very short setup timeline so having brick and ivory events on the day was non-negotiable! We walked into the reception space after our ceremony and photos around town and it was perfect. Ali was constantly communicating with the band, our photographers and videographers, caterers, etc to make sure everyone was on the same page. We had to go down multiple flights of stairs for our sparkler exit (which we did early in the night so the photographers could capture it) and she somehow got everyone to go back to continue partying.

Hire Ali and her team! We decided to book the partial planning package and they were a lifesaver. We both have hectic work schedules so having extra help was a necessity. Ali was always willing to work with our schedule and make sure we had every need covered. The day of was perfect - not even my mom had to lift a finger.

Ali was fantastic! She did such a great job making our wedding vision come to life! She is great at responding to emails and always made time for us! She is great to work with and I would definitely recommend her!

Nothing but FABULOUS things to say about Ali and her team. She is absolutely amazing. She is organized, great communicator and will do anything to make sure your day is perfect. From bringing us bagels on the day of to checking in the week of the wedding to see how I was doing. She is so professional and is so great at what she does. We are beyond thankful for her. My mom was able to relax on our big day knowing Ali had it all taken care of. She is amazing and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants the best!

Mrs. Madden was hired to do our 40th Anniversary Party and did an outstanding job. She put together the invitation list, picked the invitations, mailed invitations, received RSVP cards, researched catering, provided table decorations and baked appetizers. She employed Andres' to make an exact replica of our original wedding cake which was delicious and beautiful. She created an Anniversary Guest Book for guests to write good wishes and also placed a Polaroid camera to take pictures of guest. When more people responded "yes" to attend, she quickly researched and found a venue that would accommodate 70 guests and contacted guests to inform them of the change.

Ali was AMAZING to work with! She was super helpful in the lead up to our event and made sure everything went smoothly on the day of. We got so many compliments about how well everything went and there's no doubt that was because of how organized and on task she was. Her expertise was extremely useful and she helped us navigate some of the more complicated parts of wedding planning. She even met with us the day after to deliver anything that was left behind at the venue. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for things to go perfectly on the their special day.

Ali. Was. Amazing. We hired her as our day-of coordinator, and she truly went above and beyond to handle every little detail and make sure we could sit back and enjoy our day. We worked with many vendors, and Ali by far was the most communicative, responsive, and accessible throughout the entire process. She provided us with vendor recommendations, created a day-of timeline, coordinated arrivals with all of our vendors, handled vendor payments onsite, set up and tore down all of our decor, AND managed to handle both of our moms :) From her past experience running an event space, she has a great sense for questions to ask and thought of things that we never would have thought to consider. We could go on and on, but the bottom line is, HIRE ALI! Best decision we made (other than each other).

Ms Madden perfectly organized and executed our anniversary party this August; her venue choice worked well in location, style, convenience, and cost and she supplemented catered food with some of her own fixings that were very tasty. She also paid attention to our beverage preferences, which pleased me in particular as I have specific tastes, and obtained the same wedding cake from the same source that we originally had-a very thoughtful touch. I recommend her highly.

Allison was amazing! I’m not a very creative person and she has such an eye for decor and making something simple but also elements/chic. She’s really flexible and easy to work with as well. She listened well to my “visions” and knew how to execute them within budget and make them even prettier than I thought they could be. It’s nice working with someone that has a passion for what they do because it shows tremendously in her work!

brick and ivory events did a great job on our wedding day. she did all of our signs (seating chart, bar menu, welcome sign), was very responsive and easy to work with. Ali made our day care free and low stress.

I could have not picked a better wedding coordinator! Brick and Ivory went above and beyond planning and coordinating our wedding day. Our day was completely stress free and laid back thanks to Brick and Ivory. By the time I remembered something or thought of something it was already done. Ali couldn’t have done a better job. I felt at ease knowing she was in charge putting all my worries at ease! I would pick her over and over again. I am happy we got to celebrate our day with such a knowledgeable, kind hearted coordinator who truly cared about our special day!

Coordinated a Hallbrook Country Club Shower, Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Day for us. Everything was well coordinated, beautiful and successful. I highly recommend Brick & Ivory Events for wedding plans.

Brick and Ivory events did my baby shower and they did an awesome job. There were so many sweet details and details thought of that my friends and family wouldn't think of. The dessert bar with a beautiful cake, awesome cake topper, and lots of various sweets on a sequined linen. I just loved everything about it and felt so special.

I was an extremely busy bride because I am in medical school and I basically had to provide them with my colors and general ideas and price points and the rest was completed by Brick and Ivory Events! It was an amazing experience and everything went incredibly well from the flowers to the caterer to the timing and photography and all of it was coordinated by Ali Madden. She was fabulous!!!

Would recommend to any bride that is looking to have a stressless, beautiful, and memorable day! Everything was taken care of and I didn't have a single worry because of Brick and Ivory!! Thankful to have chosen such a creative and knowledgeable wedding coordinator!

Ivory Events created a flawless wedding weekend for us. From the rehearsal dinner, daytime festivities, to the ceremony and reception - everything was awesome and exactly what we asked for.
