We had a wonderful experience at this bridal shop! We had tried on a few dresses off the rack before the owner selected a dress from the back that was totally different from what we were initially looking at. The dress was an unexpected surprise that we absolutely fell in love with! After selecting the dress, the owner went right ahead and scheduled a few alterations appointments to make sure the dress turned out perfect and was ready in time for my big day. The alterations were professionally done, and we are so happy with the final result. I felt absolutely beautiful in my dress on my wedding day, and got so many compliments on my dress throughout the event!
I was a bit nervous about having my wedding dress altered, but Manu was so calm and patient with me, and did such a lovely job! She is a wonderful seamstress and was even able to close the open back of my dress in a way that made it look like it had always been that way! I highly recommend Bridal Boutique and wish I had found it before I bought my dress elsewhere. They have a wonderful selection of beautiful wedding gowns.
Manu is incredible! She does amazing alterations for a ridiculously affordable price. I wanted to wear flats for my wedding so in order to not lose the hemline, she (magically) brought it up from the middle and you can’t even tell. She is a wonderful human and deserves all the success. I highly recommend stopping by this store for ALL alterations and if you are looking for any kind of formal occasion dress. I love this place! And Manu! 🖤
I had a wonderful experience with the Bridal Boutique of N.C.! After visiting several other stores and boutiques in the area, I found the low pressure, relaxed atmosphere here refreshing. I found my dream dress, a sample, and had it altered here. Let me say, Manu is a miracle worker! She was able to make the dress fit me perfectly and made it look like it had never been altered. Manu was personable and friendly, she made our experience stress-free! It’s an emotional time planning a wedding and Manu put me at ease with her knowledge and expertise. My dress was so perfect on the wedding day and I received so many compliments. I’m so thankful we found the Bridal Boutique of N.C. to help make our wedding day perfect!!
Ladies, this is one of the most important decisions you will make in the entire wedding planning process and getting it right is critical; My experience at the Bridal Boutique of NC was personal, easy and stress-free. I truly felt like a princess in the dress Manu helped me choose and altered for me. Ignore the 3-star average! Manu and the team at Bridal Boutique of NC deserve 5 stars across the board. I walked in to her showroom not knowing what I wanted at all - I had no idea about the shape, material, or even color of the dress I wanted. There were hundreds of beautiful gowns from every designer imaginable. Manu was patient with me and continually brought me new dresses based on my feedback until I had narrowed my decision down. I tried on dresses for hours one afternoon and finally found one I especially loved. I had an appointment the next day at a different boutique in the area and although I went to the appointment, I tried on the very same dress I had tried on the day before and actually went back the Bridal Boutique of NC to order it because Manu had been so kind and accommodating. She ordered the dress in a perfect size and called me when it came in (two months early!). I was planning our wedding from out of state and she accommodated me over the busy Christmas break and the Saturday before my wedding when I returned to the area to do my alterations. She did an amazing job altering my dress. It was very ornate and detailed; I was worried that moving the lace up and cutting some of the tulle out from underneath would mess it up somehow, but nope! Manu did a wonderful job creating the perfect dress for me. Everyone at our wedding commented about how beautiful my dress was and I know I wouldn't have had the same experience if I had gone anywhere else. I could not imagine getting my wedding dress anywhere else - if you're in the area (and even if you're not, it's worth the drive) Bridal Boutique of North Carolina is the best!
Wonderful shop, the owner was so attentive and helpful. We found a truly beautiful dress .
I loved this place. They didn’t try to pressure me into a dress I didn’t like. I told them what I was looking for and they pointed a couple of dresses out but let me go pick what I liked. If I needed them, they were just around the corner waiting for me. I brought my whole bridal party (5 girls and my mother). They had a huge private room where we could all come in while I was trying on my dress. I felt like I had my own little suite. I was nervous when I came in because they had so many dresses but they made feel so comfortable. I came back three times before I finally decided on my dresses and they were as great as the first time.
I went in actually looking for another style of dress. But like it usually goes, after trying on multiple styles, I found the most perfect dress ever. I do not remember the name of the girl who helped us, but she was very sweet and helpful. I did buy the dress off the rack so it needed some alterations. Manu did a wonderful job; her work is beautiful and you can tell that she puts a lot of work and heart into each dress. I had several fittings with her, and each time she was so pleasant to be around. She is polite and we really appreciated her advice and expertise.
I ordered my bridesmaids dresses elsewhere, but a couple needed alterations. Manu took care of those as well, and they were perfect. My mom bought her dress for my wedding there as well, and she loved it!
I highly recommend Manu to anyone looking for wedding attire. She is honest, hard-working, and kind. I know if I need anything, I will go straight to her.
When I showed the lady what kind of dress I liked, she told me that it was out of style. She proceeded to show me tons of dresses that were straight out of the '90s. She wouldn't listen to me and kept pulling awful dresses. Plus the store was a disaster. Dresses had tears and were missing beading.
Like others have said, I'm really not sure about all of the negative reviews. I went to ALL of the big name bridal boutiques in the area and could not find the style of dress I wanted. When I went into Bridal Boutique of North Carolina, I can agree with some of the reviews that the shop is not as swanky as others (they're not throwing champagne at you and giving you the royal treatment you may receive elsewhere), but the variety of dresses they have and the willingness of the staff to work with you to find what you want (as opposed to trying to get you to like what they carry, as I experienced at other boutiques) is unparalleled. The staff ended up helping me choose a dress based on the fabric I liked and then through several rounds of alterations, Manu turned the dress into EXACTLY what I was looking for (i.e., my pinterest dreams come true!). Budget was not a major concern of ours, so I didn't choose Bridal Boutique of NC for their reasonable prices, but I ended up saving so much on my dress, even with the alternations (they have a price for unlimited alterations which is fabulous), that I was able to spend more money elsewhere. I actually ended up getting a 2nd dress to change into, also from Bridal Boutique.
If you are looking for some sort of dreamy, fairy tale experience for your dress shopping, then Bridal Boutique is probably not for you. However, if you want the opportunity to try on numerous dresses from numerous designers OR if you are like me and had a vision for a dress but can't seem to find it anywhere, this is the place for you!
I do not recommend this store for first-time gown shoppers because it's not a personalized, pampered experience like one would expect. Instead, it is a laid-back experience that is not in-your face, and has a wonderful gown selection. I actually found "the gown" here, and was completely not expecting it! They had a great selection and I loved the laid-back setting. When you walk into the store you see many mannequins dressed in absolutely gorgeous dresses everywhere. You are not hounded by employees, but are left alone to take your time. There are many dressing hanging up in busts that are available for browsing. This is definitely unlike any other dress shopping experience that I ever had, which is why some brides did not enjoy their experience. Some brides are used to being pampered, but this store allows brides the freedom to take their time and browse all of choices and choose as many dresses as one would like. They don't help you put on your dresses, but this makes some brides more comfortable anyways.
I had the store owner do my alterations, and after two rounds of fittings, the dress fit perfectly. She altered my dress in a very timely manner and was professional the entire time.
If you want to communicate with them, I recommend calling during office hours. E-mailing them will highly disappoint you if you are used to proper grammar and sentence structure.
I chose my wedding dress at this store, and it was the only store I needed to go to. They were so accomodating, attentive, and kind. The assistant who helped me find my dress was quick to gague what my style was, find other dresses, and help me in trying them on. hey had a ton of options and incredible prices. The owner (who also does the alterations) was so professional and accurate with my measurements. My dress came in about 3 months after I purchased it and was able to go try it on as soon as I wanted. I had 3 fittings, as she did the alterations in waves to make sure it fit perfectly, and it did! She handmade my veil and orderd 3 different base veils to make sure the color was perfect. I could not have been happier with my experience!
Absolutely horrendous customer service. The people working here were so incredibly rude we started to think we were on a prank show. The woman working at the counter never bothered to look in our direction, much less stop her conversation with friends to great us or offer help. She was so busy, she couldn't even be bothered to open a dressing room when we found something in the (measly) mother of the bride selection. When they say they have a large variety of dresses they mean they have liquidation stock of damaged dresses that aren't in production anymore. But this is truely the worst customer service I've ever experienced.
The whole process was as painless as possible. I was planning the wedding from out-of-state, but they made sure I had enough fittings before the event to ensure my dress would fit perfectly. They were very kind and easy to work with.
I had a wonderful experience with this bridal boutique. After ordering several dresses from online stores, I could not seem to find the right dress for me. It was very easy to schedule an appointment to try on dresses. They have SO many dresses! I think I tried on 20+ dresses! And they have many off-the-rack discontinued dresses as well that you can purchase and take home that day. I had several friends with me so got plenty of opinions. I felt that the saleswoman gave polite and helpful opinions on silhouettes that looked best on me (I appreciate honesty!). I ended up buying a dress that was not discontinued, so it took about 4-4.5 months to come in. This timing was exactly what I was expecting based on what the saleswoman told me when I bought it. After my first fitting, the dress looked great! I also ended up buying a long line bra for the dress because I had had some trouble finding the right undergarments for my strapless low-back dress. The saleswoman sewed the undergarments into the dress to make sure that everything looked perfect. I feel that I got a great price on my dress, but I would recommend factoring in more for the alterations. I paid $900 for my dress and $425 for my alterations (they cost a bit more because I had the train of the dress removed - otherwise it would have been a lot cheaper!). When I picked up the dress, the saleswoman also gave me some great tips on packing the dress for traveling (we are getting married overseas). Overall I had a great experience here. I think some of the bad reviews in this section are pretty unfair. I suspect some of the comments about the sales people being "rude" are from people with unrealistic expectations. It's unreasonable and frankly immature to think that everyone should treat you like a princess just because you're getting married. Just my opinion though. I thought the sales staff were very professional and I would highly recommend shopping here for your wedding dress.
I cannot express how wonderful the women at this shop were to me and my family. We were able to walk in, take our time looking at dresses and then when we were ready, they were there to help and offer opinions. We were given the space we needed, but also the professional opinions to feel comfortable in all decisions. I purchased my wedding dress from here, as well as had it altered. The entire process was so great and I am so happy to have found my perfect dress here!
I went to Bridal Boutique for my bridesmaids dresses since I had 7 girls in my party, their 3 or more discount really helped! The dresses in this store are BEAUTIFUL! And you can't beat the prices!!!! Our big order only took 2 months to come in when the expected was 4. The ladies at the boutique are very kind and helpful and offer a no-pressure sales approach. I give this place a big 2 thumbs up! The only thing that left me a little at odds with the place was that they were a bit understaffed, so a Bridal consultant was constantly running between 2-3 Brides and no one helped with the Bridesmaids Dresses. Overall, a GREAT place for every bride to go look at!
I was able to buy my dress from here. Yes -- the staff isn't overly friendly and isn't going to bring you champagne and fawn over you, but I wasn't interested in that. I was interested in a dress that was beautiful and fit all of my criteria -- which I was able to do! There were so many choices that I could have gone with. I tried many different stores in the area, but this had the best selection.
If you want to be pampered, don't go here. If you are a self-assured woman that can make her own decisions.. then give it a try :)
The WORST bridal shop I've been to. This was the first place I went to try on wedding dresses. They had horrible customer service. They did not seem to care that I was in the store, nor did they try to make it a happy experience. The woman who clipped the dresses I tried on never said a word to me except that the style dress I tried on wasn't going to work for my body type.
I left with my group and decided I wasn't going to return until I saw online that they carried a designer of a dress I loved. I tried to go visit again, but they were closed during hours they say they are opened. There was also no sign on the door explaining why they were closed. Eventually I made it back in there during a time that they were actually open, but it smelled so strongly of food odor that I immediately wanted to leave. It was the type of smell that you are sure is going to stick to your clothes and of course the wedding dresses there. I asked them if they carried the dress that I wanted to try on and they acted as if I had given them the most difficult, worst task in the world. They were rude and not helpful. DO NOT GO HERE!
Manu made a gorgeous Mother of the Groom dress for me; I got many compliments on it. She spent a lot of time on my dress. The quality and attention to detail were fantastic!
If there were no stars, thats what I would put, The owner is rude, unprofessional and doesn't care the least bit about customer service. She herself measured one of our bridesmaids for the dress and when it came in and the size wasn't right, she stated that she didn't have time to alter the dress for us, she also wouldn't pay for another tailor, or even try to get another size from the vendor. I bought the wedding dress there too, spent upwards of two thousand dollars and she wouldn't even steam it for free. She was all about getting our money, and promised the world, but didn't deliver at all. My daughter is stressed, I am stressed and the experience was a total turn off- DONT SPEND YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE, IT IS THE WORST!!!!
my daughters dress was purchased new..no tags, no bags etc from manufacturer....SKETCHVILLE!!!
Found this from another unsatisfied person, search google. You will....seeFor brides looking to purchase your gowns or bridesmaid dresses here: DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY for the following reasons:
1) They charge a ridiculous price just to try on dresses
2) The owner is rude and uncooperative
3) check out other reviews for their other shop: The Bridal Gallery at MacGregor Village
I first visited last week to check out their variety of bridesmaid dresses for my wedding coming up next year. I found it odd that they did charge a "registration fee" of $20 just to try on dresses--keep in mind I already bought my wedding gown 6 months ago so I only needed to look at bridesmaid dresses. Foolishly, I went ahead and paid the fee because they said it can go towards my future purchases. UNFORTUNATELY, that's not the case. I returned this week to ask about some accessories and a color swatch (which was already overpriced at $15). I wanted to make the purchase with my ridiculous fee from the week before. Not only did the owner refuse me but even after I tried to bargain by offering to purchase a number of accessories in addition to the swatch, she just kept explaining that I was "told already" that the fee only went towards bridal dresses-which I was not. After going back and forth for quite awhile, I finally left feeling disappointed, cheated, and incredibly dissatisfied.
I never raised my voice. I was perfectly reasonable. I originally wanted to purchase bridesmaid dresses from the shop
but after all that, I will never step into that store ever again. All I wanted was a color swatch to be sure about what I was ordering. The owner, an older Indian woman, never gave me her name (instead, told me to take a business card that conveniently lacked her name) and was very rude and walked away from this discussion. The entire time I felt like I was talking to a recording of what their policies were, over and over and over again. She was cold, insistant, unfriendly, and unreasonable.
For all you brides out there, it's already so difficult to plan a wedding let alone pay for one. The industry would be much better off without business owners out there like this that only cares about taking your money and have no idea how a business should run.

The shop owner is unfriendly but fortunately, she employs friendly staff. The dress I ordered came in on time and required only two alterations...but beware, she charged $150 just for pressing the dress to make up most of the difference between that and her $400 "alteration package." Be sure to have her itemize the alterations and don't be afraid to call her out on the ridiculous extra fees.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They get you in the door because of various styles they have and low pricing. The positive feedback ends there. I fell in love with my wedding dress but the dress was technically "out of our price range", but they didn't care, they still put it in the dressing room. Fine, I got over that, I fell in love with the dress. I ordered it. First things first, they kept arguing about what size should be ordered, almost 4 sizes TOO big, I refused and told them what size to order that I felt comfortable with. Then we paid for alterations up front and discussed everything that we would want done, including getting my train shortened.
After four months my dress was finally in. I ordered it way ahead of time, so I didn't need to get my alterations done right away. When I scheduled them I went for my first fitting and she YELLED at me for not having the right bra or shoes, she never mentioned ONE thing about me bringing that stuff. RUDE.
I went back for the second fitting with all of the under garments. She literally, and I repeat literally called me FAT. She said we just tried this on a week ago and it doesn't fit right anymore, what happened? WHAT THE HECK. How in the world is that okay?! Buying your wedding dress should be a great experience and they should be going above and beyond making you feel amazing in the dress.
Then we started talking about the alterations that needed to be made and she kept saying we need to take it out, but it actually needed to be taken in because it was too big around my hips. She didn't agree and we had to have an argument about it. To top it all off she told me it would be an additional $200 to get the train shortened when we ALREADY discussed that in the beginning, so I ended up keeping the train :( It was so long! The entire process she was extremely rude and unprofessional!
After going to David's bridal in Durham and having them pull dresses I told them I did not want, given no feedback as to how anything looked, and a detached salesperson... This was a refreshing experience. I had gone on a whim not planning on finding my dress but to narrow down what I wanted. The sales person helped me pick out dresses and narrow down what style would look best and gave helpful ideas for what looked best. I found the dress I wanted - under the price I was willing to pay - but was so upset because my sister was not present and I was not going to be in town for long for her to see it. The owner opened her store for me on a closed day so I could try it on again with my sister there! Also, after ordering the bridesmaids dresses late, the owner did everything in her power for them to show up on time and assured me she would make sure everything would be perfect and for alterations to be completed. They ended up coming in a few weeks early! Overall they were very flexible and accommodating for everything we asked them for.
This place has the biggest selection of bridesmaid dresses around...which causes a lot of people to just go there and try on the dress they want then buy it online. They have received a lot of flak because of their $20 try-on fee but, honestly, if so many people are using them as a reference, then going and buying it online, I don't fault them for that.
I went here with that exact idea in mind...I found a dress online and this was the only store in NC that carried it. That being said, I did not go in and tell them I was looking for a specific dress so a try-on fee was never mentioned. And because of their awesome selection (walls of dresses compared to the 2-5 racks at other stores), we tried on a lot of others too. Still, I ended up wanting the one I had seen online.
The next great thing was that if you bought more than 3 at the store, the price was better than online. Also, I was complicated because all the dresses are different colors and I was indecisive about what exactly those colors would be but the owner helped a lot and even helped find dresses that were similar in colors so we could see them all together.
The owner is all business and not your typical cheery wedding shop attendant but she was very helpful and will go the extra mile if she knows that you are not just using her store to see the dress then buy it online. I had zero issues and it was well worth the 2 hour drive.
I highly recommend this store if nothing more than the great selection.
I felt very comfortable and welcome in the store when looking for my bridal dress. I have been in a couple different times and the owner we extremely nice and helpful. They had a large selection of dresses in many different styles and colors so it made it easy to find what I was looking for in one place.
My experience with the Bridal Boutique of North Carolina was a great one. I found the dress that I loved there with the help of a very friendly staff. Even after I ordered the dress, I could walk in to the bridal boutique any time they were open and try my dress on again if I wanted to show friends or just remember what it looked like. I had 3 fittings after my dress came in because I wanted to keep losing weight. The final alterations were done beautifully. The dress that I fell in love with was strapless, but I didn't want a strapless dress. The store owner actually made me straps for my dress by hand and attached them for me. They were gorgeous. I also got all my bridesmaids dresses from here. The process was easy and seamless. Great experience and I would recommend Bridal Boutique of North Carolina to any bride or bridal party.
I had a great experience with Manu and Christina at The Bridal Boutique of North Carolina. On my first visit, I was allowed to browse on my own (my preference) and selected 10 gowns to try. Christina helped me with those, and recommended a few others. On my second visit, I again picked a slew of dresses to try, and Christina patiently helped me in and out of them, but also gave me space to do my own thing and linger in the dresses I liked. Then Christina recommended a dress that I had no interest in, but agreed to try, and IT WAS MY DRESS! We all knew from the moment I put it on that it was the right dress for me, and I never would have found it without Christina’s help! I came in one more time before buying – I wanted to think on it, so I took some pictures, and waited a week before I came back to do one final look. The staff were all very accommodating, and I was not pressured to buy or decide before I was ready.
I purchased the alternations package from Manu, and am very glad I did. I bought a discontinued Maggie Sottero at a great price, but the gown needed some minor repairs. I also wanted to tailor the neckline, add straps, and knew that I would likely need to alter the hem. I came in for two fittings and at my final fitting was AMAZED at how perfectly the dress turned out. The straps look like they came with the dress, and the fit is incredible. I also purchased a brooch from Manu that completely sets off the dress.
If you are looking for a wide selection, good prices, and helpful service that is also willing to let you browse and take your time, this is a great shop to visit. Thank you, Manu!
Manu was amazing and did amazing things with my dress. Had an amazing selection and excellent service. Prices were great.
If you want to be pampered like a princess and have someone tell you which dress looks great on you, this is not the place for you.
If you are on a budget, know what you are looking for, and what to try on several dresses on your own time tell you find what you are looking for, then this is the place for you.
I went to Bridal Boutique after searching for a particular dress I could not find on the DC area. I read the reviews about the $20 fee and names not in the dresses, this did not bother me at all. When I arrived at the store, they could not immediately find the dress I was looking for, so I started trying on others. They have a large selection of clearance, off the rack dresses. And I found the dress! It was totally not what I went into the store to look for, but it was perfect. While the staff eventually found the original dress, I had already decided on the new style I found. The dress was a great price! And the staff were very helpful in scheduling my 1st and 2nd fittings. They even stayed after hours one Friday until I got there because I was traveling from out of state. Alterations were great, and I got the package that included all alterations and final steaming before the big day. My only recommendation for the store would be to invest in a better quality bag for the dresses, beyond the think pink plastic bags they give to take your dress home in. Other than that, I was totally satisfied and my dress was perfect, and did not break my budget.
I would absolutely recommend the Bridal Boutique to everyone. Both the owner Monu and the assistant Christina have been nothing short of amazing for the past 11 months. Not only did I buy my wedding dress from them but my mother also bought her dress and my bridesmaids bought all of theirs from this boutique. I have been in the shop for the past 11 months for alterations for my dress and my bridesmaids dresses along with my moms and every time I am there they are amazing with their service. The alterations are all in house and they have pressed all the dresses and kept them for us until the big day. It is now two weeks away and all I need to do is pick up my dress. They also altered my grandmothers dress for me and made it fit me like a glove. I am so happy with everything they have done for me! I cannot thank them enough for helping make my dream wedding a reality, it really has come true !
I bought my wedding gown at Bridal Boutique and am so pleased with the results! The dress is absolutely gorgeous and was fitted perfectly. Manu (store manager) was very hands on with all the steps in creating my perfect dress. The whole process was easy and stress free! I would recommend Bridal Boutique to all other brides and/or bridesmaids out there. Thank you!
We got our bridesmaid dresses here. While there were lots of choices the service was horrible. My girls felt criticized for how they looked. The dresses required a lot of tailoring that almost doubled the prices of the dresses. Would not recommend
Thank you for every thing Bridal boutique staff did to make purching the wedding gown of my dream possible . Thank you again for your fast , affordable work to make the alteration on my gown . I will surely recommend you to my frinds
Manu did a wonderful job with my alterations. She was very flexible with my schedule. The dress turned out absolutely beautiful. Couldn't ask for much more.
I purchased my dress a year out from my wedding from Bridal Boutique of NC in Cary. I liked that I could choose my dresses, more than 3 at a time, and my Mom could help me try them on... The employees were there when we needed, but stayed in a the background and let us have our moment, which was nice. I then deployed for six months and came home having lost 20 lbs. The owner and seamstress was very flexible about working with my short timeline to complete all alterations between the time I came home and my wedding day. She made a point to schedule me when no one else would be there to provide me undivided attention, which was comforting. She even came in on a snow day to finish and meet with me to pick it up two days before my wedding. The only issue I'd had was that she couldn't make the dress as tight as I wanted. It was a fitted A-line and I wanted to show off my new skinny waste line, but she said she couldn't take it in anymore. I'm not an expert seamstress and I understand that the structure can only be altered so much, but it was a little disappointing. Everyone said the dress was beautiful, but I could feel the extra space all day. If I'd known it would be so difficult to cut down and fit after weight loss, I would have probably purchased a different dress.
Do NOT go here if you want your dress shopping to be a pleasant experience. The owner is rude and does not make trying on your dress an exciting experience at all. I felt disappointed each time I left after a fitting. I would NOT recommend this place at all. Prices may be good, but it is not worth the trouble.
I have been there a few times, once to try on dresses with my sister-in-law, and once to look at pricing when forming my budget for my wedding dress. They were generally nice, and I am not overly upset about the fee to try on dresses - they are a small business with very few employees to attend to brides. It's fine.
Yesterday I tried to go, and they were closed at 5pm. Their door and website both say open until 7pm. Whatever.....
BUT Today I went in there to ask about a particular dress I want that they carry. The only problem with the dress is that I don't like the skirt, so I wanted them to show me other dresses by the same designer or tell me if the designer would be willing to change the skirt. They completely refused to even tell me who the designer is (there was no label), and told me they "didn't know" and "couldn't look it up" unless I bought it... umm why the hell would I buy it if I don't know if they will be able to change the skirt for me? I fought with the lady (THE OWNER!!) to tell me who the designer is, or to AT LEAST show me dresses by the same designer to get an idea of what my options would be as far as a different skirt, and she absolutely refused. She was very rude to me, and even when I told her I had the cash on me right now to buy it (I did - over a thousand dollars!), she would not type it into her computer system.
Every other bridal place I have been to flaunts the designers they carry, are more than willing to tell you who makes the dress. Not to mention, everyone else WANTS MY MONEY... I was trying to do business with them here because they are LOCAL, but they just wouldn't take my money.
DO NOT GO THERE - THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS AND WILL TREAT YOU VERY BADLY!
I went to Bridal Boutique in search of my dream dress since they were the only ones to carry the one I had in mind. I only tried on a total of 4 dresses while I was there. We had to pay a $20 "try-on" fee and were not allowed to take pictures of the dresses to compare to other dresses I had previously tried on. The prices were great, but the service sucked. I did end up getting my wedding dress from there (which I absolutely loved and it came it a lot earlier than expected) and the $20 fee went towards, plus they gave me an extra $100 off. My bridesmaids also got their dresses from there at a 30% discount since I purchased my dress and they were all getting it from there. A few of them had issues with the shop (charging credit cards twice and not being open when they had said they would be open). The owner rarely answered the phone and took weeks to return phone calls. They also charge you $15 for a swatch of fabric, which the designers say is free when you purchase your dresses from preferred vendors. If it weren't for the great prices, we wouldn't have gone with them to purchase all of the dresses for the wedding. In my opinion they're better than David's Bridal because of price, variety and quality of the dresses, but not by much when it comes to customer service (which I believe is extremely important in the wedding industry since you're dealing with stressed brides and their mothers).
All of the employees are very nice and helpful. One good thing was that all alterations were done in house and they only did alterations I dresses bought from the store. It's not a big chain so the turn around time on dress alterations is very fast! They have TONS of dresses to choose from as well. I also got my bridesmaids dresses there. The lady measured one of the girls and helped her pick a size and helped me pick a size for the other two based on their measurements. All 3 dresses were WWAAYYY too big! The ones who was measured in store was the biggest, she could literally pull it up over her head to take it off with it fully zipped and clasped. These were strapless dresses too! That dress was altered there and they lady took off pretty much all she could and it was still a little too big but it fit to my bridesmaid a whole lot better! They're worth a look!
This wedding shop is pretty good if you want a good selection of nice dresses in a spacious shop that is not overcrowded. Unlike many other stores you don't need to make an appointment so you can just go whenever you want during non-busy times to try on dresses. They do charge a $20 fee to try on dresses but they tell you this up front - it's a one time fee and will be put toward purchase of a dress. Owner does this mainly because in past she had so many people coming in to just try on dresses for fun and it took away from customer service to other brides serious about shopping. I didn't have a problem with this since I found my dress in another state, called up owner to ask if she had it and she did. She didn't try to hide anything and even told me price of dress over phone. They are not pushy here. The dress itself was beautiful but I used the store mainly for alterations. Owner was ok but not very enthusiastic and I had to ask her to adjust bottom since it was uneven and bustle was also uneven and too low. She didn't seem to be as detail oriented as you would hope a seamstress would be and after I already purchased dress it was a little like pulling teeth to ask her to do things despite paying a high fee for alterations. In the end everything turned out fine and I do feel you get a lot of personal service here that you don't at other places.
I went to Bridal Boutique of NC both to try wedding gowns and to look for bridesmaid dresses. They do have a great selection of reasonably priced gowns, and the full bust hangers make it a lot easier to see what everything actually looks like. That being said, it’s sort of a weird experience being in there. They charge you $20 to try gowns, won’t let you take pictures (which I understand, but plenty of places do allow it), and won’t tell you the designer of a gown unless you buy it. The owner is a little pushy and can make you feel uncomfortable. I ended up buying my bridesmaid dresses there. They came in on time and the price was right. I would go there again for bridesmaid dresses.
I purchased all 7 dresses (bridal gown, MOB dress, 4 BMs dresses and 2 FG dresses) from Bridal Boutique of NC. From day one they were very helpful, nice and able to do whatever we needed. They even let my mother buy her gown off the rack and made personalized buttons for her dress since she did not like the stock ones. My dress was beautiful as were the BMs and FGs. They tailored and steamed out all the dresses perfectly and they were ready on time. In fact, this may have been the only vendor I did not have any wedding hiccups with. Thanks so much!!!
I came to the Bridal Boutique as a walk-in with my family. I had already read the reviews for the shop and knew about the $20 deposit to try on gowns which covers the entire bridal party. So, I had no problem giving them my deposit. I was treated the same as if I had made an appointment. They had the most off the rack dresses for sale that I had seen at any bridal shop and at excellent prices. The owner was great to work with and so were all of the consultants. The owner also offers a 10% off discount if you buy your gown on your first time to the shop, which I did. I got a great deal on my dress and a great experience.
I want to thank the Bridal Boutique for being very patient and understanding with my wedding process. My dress is fabulous. They took their time in making it just the way i wanted! Thanks Again!!

I went here because I was looking for a Maggie Sottero dress. I made an appointment ahead of time and should have trusted my gut when I got email responses from them that were not polite or formal in any way. When I got there the staff was very rude and acted like it was annoying to have customers in the store. They put the dresses I asked for in a dressing room and told me they were across the room. At no point did they help me in any way. At no point were they anything better than 100% disinterested in helping me and at time they verged on downright rude, glaring at me while I walked around the store.
I loved that I found a beautiful dress within my price range but the service was sub par. Alterations were a nightmare for myself and my maid of honor. The owner calls me the week of my wedding and says she stepped on the veil and ripped it but she could fix it in time. The linign of the veil was not trimmed correctly. Also the lining of my dress was not parallel to my lace layer, which she blamed on me because she could not alter it to fit to my average size figure. For my maid of honor, she made the bust have a huge angle on the side and blamed it on her figure. She also tried to up sell us products and extra alterations to fix the issues. In the end everything worked out but it caused extra time and unnessecary effort.
Had to pay $20 to try on dresses. I asked specifically for the dress designer and style I wanted and they just said to look around. I asked where the Maggie Sottero dresses were, and they said they would not reveal which dresses were which designer!! Not helpful, said alterations were$350.
I have had great experiences at The Bridal Boutique of North Carolina. The owner has always been helpful and the staff as well. I went in the boutique with a certain dress in mind. They didn't have it in the store but the owner wanted to get a sample of the dress and ordered one to be delivered. I'm not going to say she did this JUST for me but it proved to me that she was extremely helpful! What a nice gesture! I wound up finding a different dress that I fell in love with (go figure) and have since ordered it. I can't wait for it to come in!
I went to this store and I thought it was funny that I had to pay $20 to try on a dress I was obsessing about. I didn't end up picking that dress. I went to try on a dress with no price tag, the owner told me the dress was in my budget so I tried it on fell in LOVE. Turns out it was $300 over my MAX budget. I was heartbroken. Eventually the owner took off some for the dress since she made a mistake. When I went to pay off the dress the owner tried to sell me the floor model everyone had been trying on! I told her no and got a new one. Also she didn't include the $20 I already put down for trying on the dress! I had to make her put it towards the dress. When I went to pick up the dress. She told me about how much money she lost out on my sale! How rude! When they brought the dress out to me it was in a tiny plastic bag! I got a dress with a big bottom! The dress was flattened and misshapen. The assistant who I worked with before was nice enough to offer to go in the back and get me a bigger bag. While waiting for her the owner asked if I had signed for the dress when I said "yes" she said "well you can leave now". Over all great selection, if your looking for a bridal experience do NOT go there. I will however note that her assistant was WONDERFUL!
Overall my experience here was great. They were so helpful and spent a lot of time with me since I tried so many dresses on. After I got my dress the owner was great about keeping me updated on the arrival date. When my dress arrived I had 3 fittings and each one was great. My dress turned out wonderful and fit me perfectly. I would tell brides to go to this shop and look they have a good range of prices!
Loved this shop... I was looking all around for Maggie Sottero dresses, this was the only shop that I came across that had the dress I found online... they were willing to help me out any way possible. Bridal Boutique of North Carolina... assisted me every time I called to check upon dress order. My dress came in way before time, and my bridesmaid dress. They are very friendly and love the selection of dresses! Would definitely us them!
I stopped by this place this afternoon with high expectations because they had a designer I was looking for. When I walked in the door and was told that I had to pay $20 to try on dresses, I was floored! What type of place charges you to TRY ON DRESSES?!?!?! Is this normal practice anywhere?
Needless to say, I didn't pay any money to try on anything. I had traveled 50 miles to visit this store because of a designer they carried and was so upset. It's not that I can't afford to pay $20, but I felt it was principle at that point. What a bummer.
I found getting my dress at the Bridal Boutique of North Carolina was a great experience. I found them by accident looking at dress stores in the area. They have a large variety of gowns, are very patient, and will let you try on however many you want for a one time fee of $20 (I think it tried on everything because I wasn't sure what I was looking for). Such a better experience that going to David's Bridal (where my bridesmaids got there dresses and a horrible experience!!) My dress is gorgeous, I got it for a great price, and I would definitely use this place again if I had to do things over. :)
Bridal Boutique of NC was an all around great dress store. They were a lot of help picking out a dress and after I ordered the dress, it came in on time. The owner had great communication and was always friendly and helpful. Overall, a great store!
The Bridal Boutique of North Carolina did an amazing job in assisting me with finding the wedding dress of my dreams. Unfortunately, I had purchased a dress at a different store and had a bad experience as my dress came in too short and poorly made. The Bridal Boutique of NC was very helpful in assisting me with finding the right dress within a short time frame. The seamstress did an amazing job altering my dress as it fits wonderfully! If you are looking for your wedding dress or bridesmaid dress I strongly recommend this store!
Just had a terrible experience with this business... truly appreciate being told that they don't "have the time" to assist my bridesmaids, and that you would charge $20 PER dress they needs to try on. Wonderful, customer service-oriented approach to handling guests. I greatly appreciate experiencing for the first time being HUNG-UP on while I was still trying to clarify the fees for service. Would not in a MILLION YEARS give business to this place and would suggest working with another retailer in the area.
This was one of the worst customer experiences that I have ever had. When I entered the store, the girl that came up to greet me, didn't even seem like she knew anything about the store. She was not dressed professional at all. The store feels very cold and not welcoming. I had a list of designers and gowns and I asked the girl about them and she had no idea where they would be located. She just said that they are spread out and you would have to look for them. None of the bridal "consultants" (they can't even be called that) asked me anything about my wedding style, what type of style of dress I'm looking for, nothing. I would have left, but they are the only store in the Raleigh area that carried Allure (they didn't have the dress I wanted). I didn't like that I had to pay $20 to try on dresses. It's just a way to make money. Overall, this was a horrible experience and I definitely won't recommend anyone to use them.
I think the policy on their website says it all "to ensure better customer service we have a registration fee of $20.00" (keep in mind that in the store they told me $25). So better customer service happens when the customer pays you for service??? You cannot even try on a dress without registering and paying a fee. I am in a wedding out of town and just wanted to try on a dress to know what size to tell the bride to order. They had the dress in their store but I had to pay to try it on. I asked them if I could just be measure then and was told "No" without hesitation. Their website site says they will do measurements for people not buying from their store, again for a $20 fee, but I was not even offered that option. So if you like paying for customer service, maybe this is the place for you. But I personally prefer the friendly nature of people that are willing to help me more than those that are just trying to make money, any way possible. I hope department stores don't pick up this policy... shopping will get expensive quick at $20 for any store where I want to simply try on clothes. I select NA for cost because I will not do business with this store.
I visited the store with my mother, matron of honor, and bridesmaid to try on wedding gowns. We were met when we walked in and explained the registration policy ($20 fee) to try on dresses. I found a few that I wanted to try on, so I registered for the $20.
As we were pulling dresses, I was looking at one and the sales associate came up. She took the dress from my bridesmaid and said it was "very expensive", putting it back on the rack. The encounter confused me, because she had not been actively helping us.
We then tried on 4 dresses with no assistance, no offer of shoes, no offer of bra/slip. We were completely ignored. After changing back into my clothes to leave, the associate brought over 2 other dresses that I "might like", but she had no idea what I was looking for. The dresses she pulled were satin with big sparkles and I was looking for all lace.
I was totally disappointed with our treatment. I paid $20 for the worst service I've had at any bridal store, and I didn't have to pay anywhere else. I told the associate about my experience, and sent a formal complaint.
