This review is only for the owner, Gina. The sales staff and the alteration staff are so sweet and wonderful, unfortunately they work for Cruella de Vil. I believe she trains her staff to order the wrong size dresses in order to make more money in the end. I am aware that sounds crazy, but the owner is crazy. She manipulates her staff into thinking that's the way it works and that they are doing the right thing, by no fault of their own.
It started with my wedding dress. My dress came in too small, and was marked a size under what I had ordered. They said it was the manufacturer, after everything else that happened, I don't believe it was. They did get a new dress sent in though, but this was the first red flag.
My Mom ordered her gown there, and had lost some inches in between ordering and the dress coming in. However, the dress that was ordered did not match her measurements and was 2 sizes too big from what her measurements originally were. Now that she had lost weight, it was 4 sizes too big. In order to alter, it would take away from the natural shape of the dress. So they agreed to order her a new size.
The biggest and main issue of all, was all of my bridesmaid and maid of honor dresses. ALL OF THEM WERE TOO SMALL. Not every single one of my bridesmaids gained weight but according to the owner, Gina, they did. Each of the dresses required extra material to be ordered, as she refused to order a new size. We were closer to the date of the wedding, because most of my bridesmaids and maid of honor did not live locally, most of the pick up was done when they were local for my bridal shower. The staff new from the beginning that my bridal party did not live local and said they would be able to work with that and it wouldn't be a problem. I got involved with all the dresses and wanted Gina to look at it as a whole problem, instead she wanted to go individually one by one for each girl and only talk to them. She would not see my complaint of all of the dresses being an issue, nor did she want to speak to me. The only reason that woman had our business was because of me, and being the bride, it was my responsibility to make sure my girls were taken care of and didn't have to overpay for anything! It got to the point of getting all of my bridal party to send me their original receipt with their measurements on it, comparing to their measurements currently, and then going to the manufacturers website to compare to their size chart and what was ordered. 6 weeks before my wedding day, I got into an argument over the phone with Gina who was SCREAMING at me. I brought up all of those details and she wanted to battle with me on every single one. She claimed zero responsibility for the size issues, and stated each of my girls should take responsibility for gaining weight. Which by the way, they did not. She should NOT be in this industry, she should not be an owner of anything, she treats her employees like complete crap and the same for any customer who challenges her. She threatened to not work with me anymore, which would have meant I have no wedding dress (again 6 weeks before my wedding) and any of the girls who didn't pick up their dresses already would also not have dresses. She is extremely unprofessional, I feel sad for the staff because they really tried to do the right thing and none of this was their fault.
