We couldn’t imagine getting married without Margo! We hired her after picking The LINE as our venue and she was with us every step of the way from there through our wedding day from consulting on the budget, vision, checklist, timeline, and every other imaginable detail. She has a way of breaking everything down and pacing the planning so it never felt overwhelming. She helped us build an amazing vendor team who all said the nicest thing about working with her.
What really stood out was in the 36 hours leading up to the wedding when we had to make a call on moving the ceremony inside or keeping it outside. Margo was highly poised and responsive in helping us make the right decision. The actual day could not have been more seamless - our guests all remarked on how well executed the entire event was and I didn’t worry about anything on the day because I knew Margo had it taken care of. We are so grateful to her and the team!
Margo, Chelsea, and their team went above and beyond to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch. Their professionalism, attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and composure soothed any anxieties we may have had leading up to and during the wedding. We booked Bright Occasions for "month of" services, and had a very smooth transition integrating them into our planning process. Wedding guests all commented on how great of a job they were doing and how impressed they were with the team. We're beyond grateful.
Margo and Caitlyn were wonderful to work with! They handled a ton of details in the weeks leading up to the wedding, helping us to ensure that the day of went smoothly and painlessly. We hired Margo after making the COVID-19-induced jump from our 150+ person August wedding to an in-town 30 person September wedding. At the time, we had a rough idea of what the new plans would look like but little to no details worked out. We were also less familiar with vendors in the area than we were previously with my hometown. Margo was recommended by my coworker who'd used her services for her wedding.
Margo brought calm, professionalism, and reassurance to every interaction. I'm type A and appreciate someone who can act before I even have to ask and that was Margo. She identified great vendors for us to work with and worked beautifully without a hiccup with those we'd already identified. She was also flexible and adaptable to our needs when they varied from what we had planned and what was standard, all while being highly respectful of our budget and providing actionable opportunities to reduce costs. On my wedding day, things went more smoothly than I could have imagined. Margo corralled vendors and supported me through some challenging family dynamics. Pack-up the next morning was a breeze thanks to Margo and her team.
Hire Bright Occasions and expect 1) clear, consistent, timely communication 2) proactive and responsive help/coordination and 3) a calm, kind professional on the other end of all interactions. 100% recommend.
Margo and her team were fabulous! We hired Margo (as the reception day of coordinator) about a month from the wedding due to all of the new changes with the pandemic. She was a great resource to bounce ideas off of and to answer my questions. All of my vendors said she was very pleasant to work with. I wish I would have hired her sooner and for the entire day!!
Margo and Bright Occasions made our dream wedding a reality. I seriously don't know how to tell you how awesome she is. I was initially on the fence about hiring a planner at all, because of the added expense, but it was hands down the best choice we made -- because of Margo. My only regret is that I didn't have her by my side from the start!
She is the perfect combination of creativity, organization, and calm. She took my random Pinterest musings and poorly articulated ideas and turned them into something truly magical. She was also great at helping me think through budgeting and was mindful about my financial constraints without ever making me feel self-conscious. She was especially helpful with recommendations on where to cut costs and where to spend maybe a little extra and identifying vendors to accommodate those choices.
I may have to plan a wedding 2.0 just because I'm going to miss her so much. Hire her. NOW. You will NOT regret it.
Margo was so wonderful. We only had a partial planning contract with her but she spent so much time with us, was so patient when we were indecisive or changed our minds (frequent), and was always very responsive. She's a wonderful calm presence, trouble-shoots like a pro, and had excellent guidance on vendors. We are so grateful to her for our wonderful wedding!
My husband and I are so grateful for and appreciative of Margo and her superb wedding planning skills; she is much more than a master wedding planner—she is also an advisor, supporter, mediator, and firefighter! We can't imagine planning our wedding with anyone else! We worked with Margo Fischer and Bright Occasions for month of plus additional wedding design services and had a truly great experience. Margo was incredibly helpful, responsive, smart and organized, not to mention funny and easy to talk to and work with! It was wonderful working with and getting to know her over the year leading up to our wedding.
Our wedding was at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA, which is not a traditional venue and requires a lot of work in the space (in a short period of time) for wedding set up. It really gave us piece of mind to know that Margo would make sure everything went smoothly! I didn't have to think about or stress over any last minute (or just regular) details--she had it completely under control. If you're considering a month of (or full) planner, Bright Occasions is the way to go!
Margo is absolutely wonderful! My mom hired her on the spot when we first met her. For 7 months leading up to our wedding she went above and beyond to make things easier for us during the planning process. She is extremely responsive and always on top of things. She was also there on the wedding day keeping everything moving and on schedule. I would 100% recommend hiring Margo to plan your wedding!
Margo was invaluable in helping make our dream wedding day. I chose Margo after talking to several wedding planners because she really seemed focused on making our wedding “our wedding” rather than encouraging us to have a picture perfect wedding that would be featured in a magazine. I quickly discovered that in the wedding industry, the sky is the limit, but Margo was willing to work with the budget we proposed rather than escalating it for the picture perfect wedding. Of course, we wanted a beautiful wedding, but we wanted the focus our day to be on us and our commitment to each other and the enjoyment of our guests.
Early on, Margo was helpful in making wonderful vendor recommendations and provided a great sounding board for our wedding ideas. There are so many ideas out there on pinterest and other online sites and hundreds of wedding vendors in the area, so it is easy to get lost in the process. Margo created a planning and budget schedule that really helped us stay on target. She was great about suggesting traditional ways weddings are done and open to ideas when we wanted to go off the beaten path.
Come wedding day, Margo was calm and organized and made sure everything ran smoothly. She was unobtrusive, letting us enjoy the day, stepping in just enough to keep the day flowing, then quickly stepping out of the limelight. It was wonderful having her there so that my fiance and I and our families could fully participate in the day rather than focusing on orchestrating the event.
In the end, I think our wedding was the perfect mix, filled with love and meaningful touches and exuding a classy, romantic elegance worthy of any magazine. Every bride wants to feel that her wedding is the perfect wedding, and Margo really helped make that happen.
Margo with Bright Occasions is an absolute pleasure to work with! As the Director of Catering at a hotel / wedding venue, I work with a lot wedding planners and Margo is a joy to have on a wedding vendor team. Margo is extremely detail oriented and organized and she always responds in a timely manner whenever information or input is needed. I was actually lucky enough to work with Margo on two different weddings this year, and I would highly recommend her as a wedding planner for anyone that is looking for month of assistance or full service planning.
I hired Margo as a month of coordinator. But she was so much more than that. She was always there to answer any questions or give me ideas even before it was a month before the wedding. On the day of she was amazing. We had a little issue ( the pastor was late) and she handled it like a true professional. The best thing she did was.. NOT TELL ME ( the bride) haha. She handled the situation, calmed my frantic husband and got everything running smoothly. She is amazing and I highly recommend her.
