Okay, first and foremost - hiring a wedding planner was something that my partner/I went back and forth on after we got engaged. Of course in the beginning, you grapple with, "We COULD probably do it all ourselves and do a day of planner" - on ...top of "would it really be worth the money?". Regardless, I convinced my partner to meet with with Brindle + Oak after I saw they had glowing reviews on The Knot (I also get a vibe from a company's website since I work in advertising - and I had good vibes from B+O's style). My partner was SO resistant, but then we met Michelle. Michelle was incredibly nice, genuine, laid-back and COOL. She exuded professionalism, knowledge of the industry/vendors - but was not pushy or over the top peppy (that's not our style). It's hard to capture in a written review, but Michelle is just awesome - she's someone you would want to hang out with in your spare time and that you immediately feel comfortable with. Not only that - but Michelle owns an incredible joint-work space for wedding vendors. This was a huge selling point for us, because she was stacked with vendor recommendations for us based on our vision and budget and took of our plates having to do a crazy amount of research. She is the ultimate connector for all things weddings and has virtually worked with everyone in the business. After our first meeting - I had my partner onboard to hire Michelle. The package we got included EVERYTHING we needed - a healthy amount of in-person consults and Michelle was always available to us via email to answer any questions. A HUGE thing Michelle provided us with was our wedding story-board. When we met with her, we told her (in very, very general terms that likely provided zero direction, haha), what we were going for. She put together this AMAZING story-board, which essentially brought together all the design components and ideas for our wedding day based off our theme, wedding colors and some really unique and beautiful ideas she had for us! We saw it and it was exactly what we wanted (and so much more than we could have thought of on our own) - Michelle's vision is unparalleled. She just gets it and has impeccable taste. Additionally, Michelle is calm and cool under pressure and is quick to offer solution and was the perfect third party when my partner and I were unsure of something. Michelle stuck with us throughout the whole wedding planning process - for all things decor, budget, logistics, vendor recommendations - she was our go-to and I cannot imagine how stressed we would have been or how much time we would have spent doing all of this ourselves. In the weeks leading up to the wedding - she fully took the reigns in coordinating with the vendors, building out detailed schedules, checking-in with us on outstanding invoices - it really was incredible! The day before and day of - she did everything for us and I was speechless when I saw our venue, because Michelle just made our vision come to life. My bridal party/friends ALL commented how amazing Michelle was to work with and how friendly she was. All I can say is that hiring a planner, but especially Michelle, was worth every single penny and we would have been a complete stressed out mess without her - she allowed us to be fully present and enjoy our wedding. I know I'm just rambling at this point but if you're looking for a planner, please, don't waste your time looking any further. Michelle is the best you could ever hope for. She is the ultimate!
