ake sure everything was set up perfectly and how we envisioned. The reception tent is even more beautiful when lit up at night. We got compliments from all our guests on the service and the food. We had to tweak our schedule by 20 minutes for extra photos and the service was so great that we ended up quickly back to the original schedule in no time.

r, Jessica, who made sure everything flowed smoothly. The main manor house made for a cozy cocktail hour space and we had more than enough space in the stateroom for our 75 guests. It was also a nice surprise that they had updated all their doors, light fixtures, paint, and added a new outdoor patio right before our wedding for a modern yet elegant look.

ack to me in less than a week (around 3 days). They arranged a time for me to come see the venue and we're very accommodating to my later work schedule. We toured it and booked it on the spot. We did not even bother trying to look anywhere else as we wanted a venue that would be responsive and helpful during the process. Bristow Manor did both of those, they made everything clear and were more than happy to explain everything and detail everything out. They were constantly going out of their way to make sure he and my fiance were both included during the whole planning process. They were very reasonably priced as well compared to some venues if you are looking for a beautiful venue on a budget, we just added on a ton of stuff for upgrades that were unnecessary but we liked. Our wedding was on June 25 2022 and we couldn't have been happier with how it turned out and how helpful all the staff was on the day of. Thank you so much for everything you've done.

mber of 2020 we knew this would be our place. Annette and Caitlin were great to work with throughout our engagement and planning process. We chose a Friday for our wedding and although were hesitant at first, we are glad we did because it gave us the rest of the weekend to relax and celebrate. Overall, our experience with Bristow Manor was incredible! At the last minute in the planning process, a new coordinator was assigned to my wedding day. And although I was hesitant at first, I am so happy to say that Karen made my day all that I could imagine. Of course with serving alcohol the guests can get a little rowdy, but Karen did the best job! Myself and my husband were able to just enjoy our night while Karen and the rest of the staff handled the logistics and slight mishaps. I will forever be thankful for her and for choosing Bristow Manor to celebrate our wedding.

nth, once we met with Annette and saw the venue in person, we knew exactly where we wanted to have our beautiful event! As time passed and the new year approached, we decided that we wanted to push our wedding from April 2021 to September 2021, and that was not an issue at all for Bristow Manor. This was greatly appreciated, given that most of our guests were traveling to the event from out of state! Annette and Caitlin always worked with us to ensure our ceremony and reception would be just what we desired! We enjoyed our food tastings in January 2021, and we also got to use the venue for engagement photos in May 2021! Throughout the year of 2021 before September, I was in constant contact and correspondence with Caitlin, and she was always very professional, helpful, and prompt! I had so many questions, and at times I felt overwhelmed from planning and calling vendors, but Caitlin always gave off a great and comforting vibe, and I knew that with her assistance, the wedding day would go perfectly. Her assistance throughout the whole process, to include the day of, was exceptional. I greatly appreciate her work to make our day special! I also cannot thank the entire staff and crew enough for basically taking a day that I envisioned, and playing it in real time! The ambiance, the laughs and smiles, the food, the drinks, everything was amazing. I still cannot stop thinking about our big day, and I know that it was definitely meant to be at Bristow Manor! Truly a fairytale come to life! I cannot recommend this professional and breathtakingly beautiful venue enough!

I so appreciated how she kept everyone organized and continued to check in with my husband and I to see how she could make our day perfect. Truly could not recommend the venue or staff enough! ns we had in the planning process. Annette, who was in charge of more admin/billing was also great. The venue itself was very flexible with covid postponements and billing. The venue itself is beautiful and very private. We were able to decorate the venue ourselves the day before, had our rehearsal walk through, and the venue provided the set up of any additional decor and breakdown at the end of the night. Negatives: The reason for 3 starts is truly the day-of experience. Food: For the food, The entree of chicken and steak tasted nothing like what was provided at the tasting. The steak was over cooked and the sauce was bland. The chicken was supposed to be in a Marsala sauce and there was no sauce at all with it. In addition to the poor quality of the meal, after the wedding I was told by many guests that they never received cake and/or had their food brought out very late. Our family had asked ahead of time how many staff would be at the wedding so we were able to tip accordingly. Apparently on the wedding day that was not the case as the bartender had told my mother that they were very short staffed which was causing the delay with food/drinks. Timeline: Our timeline was one of our biggest regrets with this venue. During the tasting we went over the timeline with the coordinator. The coordinator used a template of their usual wedding timeline to go over with us and make adjustments if we wanted. I truly regret trusting the timeline the coordinator put together as it made the entire wedding delayed and then things had to be rushed at the end of the night. Due to the delay of dinner and with speeches/parent dances being scheduled for after dinner was served, dancing did not start until almost 10:00pm and the bar was scheduled to close at 10:00pm. The coordinator was able to extend the bar for an additional 15 minutes but even with that, the party didn't really get started until 1 hour before the wedding was over. Due to our frustrations with the delay we had to make the call to have an informal cake cutting and no bouquet toss because our guests wanted to start dancing. We truly wished the coordinator could have stepped in earlier with this matter because my husband and I had no idea what time it was since we were so busy, otherwise we would have moved things along. We were served dinner first so after we ate there was a lot of waiting around which could have been occupied with the speeches/ dances. Weather ceremony back-up: On our wedding day it rained briefly before our ceremony. While getting ready our coordinator had asked us what we wanted to do whether indoor/outdoor. At the time when asked I didn't know how wet it was outside because it had stopped raining but either way I was told if we wanted to do it outside still then it would take them an additional 20 minutes to set up so I chose to just make the call to do it indoors. Now after experiencing how tight it was having the ceremony in the ballroom I would have done things differently. All the tables were pushed to the sides of the walls and left very little space which guests did not like. Also for the ballroom the isle was extremely short so the moment of walking down the isle was very brief. All that said, if we could do it all over, I'm not sure we would choose this venue again.

She was knowledgeable, timely and just a joy to work with. We dropped off bins of decor prior to the wedding and she and her team brought our vision to life. Caitlin helped keep the day on track, and really allowed us to enjoy the day and not stress the little details. The bartenders and wait staff were all amazing and we couldn't be more happy with our decision to have our wedding here!

I did get a plate to go since some guests didn't show and although it was cold on the way home, it was still so good :) I had to have steak/beef for about the next two week's after our wedding because it was so good!! The chef even came out to make sure everything was good, thanks Chef!! The entire space including landscape is beautiful and well lit. Annette who helped in the beginning was also helpful in making sure we had everything we needed in regard to info. I would love to host another event here just to get as close as possible to our wedding day, it is beautiful and you will love every moment of it!! Thanks, Bristow! P.S...... Bristow. I can't imagine more challenging circumstances than a global pandemic in which to plan a wedding, but then the night of the wedding, Mother Nature decided to throw us another curveball with the remnants of a hurricane coming through, and through it all our wedding planner was a calming force as she seamlessly made adjustments and came up with alternate plans to ensure that our daughter's wedding was everything she had dreamed it would be. The entire staff was polite and accommodating to everything we could have hoped for and more. The professionalism and kindness shown in such difficult circumstances was truly a blessing to our entire family. All of the obstacles that could have turned a dream wedding into a disaster fell away as our wedding planner and the entire staff worked tirelessly to overcome every challenge. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, and my daughter's dream wedding came together in ways that were beyond what we could have hoped for.

nator, Bettina. When we arrived for our initial meeting, Bettina was very pleasant; she was thorough when going through all of the details for our big day and answered the numerous questions we had. As we left, we knew we had found the perfect spot for our wedding. As the months went by with virtually no contact, we soon discovered that Bettina had left and a new coordinator took her spot. I requested to meet in person with this coordinator; she did not reply. A week later, I reached out again and was able to secure a meeting with her. However, when we arrived, we were met by Annette, the sales coordinator, who told us the new coordinator no longer worked there either. At this point, we were extremely apprehensive – we were less than six months out from our wedding and we had no coordinator. Our third coordinator, Caitlin, took over shortly thereafter. For a few weeks, there were some hiccups with communications not being timely; however, things did a complete 180 when we were one month away from the wedding. Both Caitlin and Annette were extremely accommodating and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day was perfect – and it was. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day. All in all, while the months leading up to our wedding were extremely stressful, we were very happy with how everything came together at the end. Our wedding was lovely – the pictures really don’t do it justice!

nator. Both Annette and Caitlin were responsive, kind, and helpful. Prior to the wedding, when I was confirming details with vendors, they shared with me that they had already spoken to Caitlin. When I arrived to the bridal dressing room, there was champagne, water, cheese and grapes waiting. My husband had the same in the groom's dressing room. Communication was clear between the staff at Bristow Manor and us, our families, and our vendors. Everything looked beautiful! Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and how kind and attentive the staff were. Caitlin even brought out snacks for my husband and I when we were getting our pictures taken! The food was delicious. We were well taken care of. We honestly cannot say enough good things about this venue, Caitlin, Annette, or the rest of the staff. We would absolutely recommend Bristow Manor Golf Club to anyone looking for a wedding ceremony and/or reception venue.

We knew we were in good hands when we came to do final details because they knew exactly what we were asking for, what we WEREN'T thinking of (but didn't make us feel silly for not thinking about them), and how to make our vision a reality. It made the last few weeks leading up to the wedding so much fun because we felt that we were able to place our full confidence in them. And did they ever deliver! From the time we arrived to the time the ceremony started they struck a great balance of keeping us on schedule and letting us be together with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, we are so thankful for how relaxed and fun everything felt leading up to the ceremony. The outdoor space for the ceremony was so beautiful and started everything off so elegantly. The inside of the manor was absolutely perfect and their idea for setting up the third bar outside on the side lawn was exactly what we were hoping for. AND THE RECEPTION HALL!!! They worked with us to set up a long head table, it looked amazing and we loved how they spaced out all of the tables. They also helped us set out the personalized notes to each guest and the acrylic names at EVERYONE'S place setting; we really got so many comments about them and we would not have been able to pull that off without their help! Everything ran right on schedule and we never felt rushed, which we are so thankful for because we were able to spend so much time with everyone! Absolutely incredible service and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome of our wedding day!

h coordinator was excellent! We did the barbecue buffet and got tons of compliments on the food. The space is absolutely beautiful. One of my favorite features was that we got the whole space to our self, the reception area, the downstairs and upstairs of the house, the porch and lawn, etc. We had a relatively large guest count (~155) and it was a bit of a squeeze in the reception hall, but it made it all the more fun for our guests! I would highly recommend this venue!

n at Bristow Manor and loved that my guests didn't have to travel from place to place. Bristow Manor's wedding packages include the venue, catering, and alcohol and they also have a list of "preferred vendors" who know that venue well. This made planning so much less stressful. We picked both our photographer and DJ from the preferred vendor list. In addition, Bristow Manor's wedding coordinator Bettina made everything about the wedding so much easier. Leading up to the event she coordinated with our vendors, planned our day of timeline, and asked us questions that helped us better plan our day. On the day of the event she kept everything running smoothly and in a timely manor. I couldn't imagine keeping track of it all myself but Bettina made sure the ceremony was well timed and kept everything rolling during the reception. She even made my husband and I plates and reminded us to sit down and eat. Bristow Manor is a beautiful venue and Bettina made our day perfect!

I absolutely love Bettina! she worked so hard and was open to our ideas for the wedding, she made sure everything went smoothly, she decorated everything for us, made sure we were ok during the wedding, she just was amazing. She is also a big Sailor Moon fan, like me! The food was amazing, everyone loved the chicken cordon bleu bites! The pictures I've received from our photographer, are amazing so far. All of our guests complimented on how beautiful the venue is! Seriously, this venue is amazing!

t, it was just gorgeous on the inside and out and made adding just a little bit of my own decor easy. The coordinator did a great job of decorating the venue on the wedding day and the first half of the day was fantastic. During the reception however there was clear miscommunication between my coordinator and the DJ, we ran out of several of the food items on the buffet, the timeline was completely off and left only slightly over an hour for dancing. The entire event was completely off and the coordinator appeared stressed the entire night. Communication with the coordinator was very difficult the week of the wedding and she only responded to my emails once I stated her lack of response was stressing me out. Also be prepared to take all of your decor home the night of the wedding-to me that is completely ridiculous. Be prepared to have more than one coordinator and at least three people in charge of wedding finances at the venue. This venue has potential to be truly great but I cannot say I had the greatest experience there for my wedding.

The day of my wedding went perfectly and without a doubt I wouldn't have been able to do it without Lindsay (the day of coordinator) from the time the wedding party and I showed up until it was time for my husband and I's exit Lindsay was checking on us to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I will definitely be recommending Bristow Manor to anyone in the future that is looking at venues not only for wedding but any event they might be holding!!

Communication was very fast and it definitely helped calm the wedding-planning jitters. On the day-of, she and her staff made sure everything went seamlessly. Seriously, I've never been to a more organized, well-executed wedding (not that I'm biased or anything). I'd book here again if only for these two ladies. Did I mention their services come with when you book the venue? Speaking of, the venue itself is gorgeous! With the VA countryside just a short golf cart ride away. we were able to get some amazing sunset pictures post-ceremony. Speaking of ceremony, we /did our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all at BM. They were great about making each "phase" feel like its own separate event. There was even space for the bride-bridesmaids, and groom-groomsmen to hang out (separately!) before the ceremony. I cannot say enough good things about BM and its staff. If you want a beautiful, stress-free wedding at a gorgeous location, BM is a sure bet :)

big help and offered so much support along the way. it was so great working with them and we feel truly blessed to have found the perfect venue and people to work with. it all really was a dream come true and i wouldn't have wanted to have our wedding any other way. the place was perfect for us, and all our guests agreed that it suited us perfectly. everyone has been raving about how beautiful it was and how laid back and fun and how smooth everything went. if you're looking for that laid back, southern charm kind of feel, this is the place for you! i was so amazed at how the staff was so attentive to all our needs the day of our wedding, everybody was literally at our service getting us drinks when we needed, bringing us the passed around appetizers when we were busy taking pictures, grabbing family/friends when we needed someone...i was truly amazed at how everyone wanted to make our day perfect. there was a little bit of a hiccup when they had to switch event coordinators on us, but they ensured things transitioned smoothly, although there were some things communicated with the previous coordinator that might have got lost along the way (lighting in the tent extension wasn't communicated with the new coordinator as it was with the previous one, partially my fault), but that was just a minor detail. they'll basically listen to anything and try to accommodate what they can. they were nice to sub certain food items on the menu for us and let us set up whatever we needed to the day before the wedding. i can't say enough good things but thanks again bristow manor for the best day ever! :)

he venue in December 2014, with that came some minor hiccups and having to relay information a few times to the new staff person. Once Emily took over, it really was smooth sailing. Everything about Bristow Manor was perfect on the day of the event. We held our ceremony indoors, because I wasn't about to mess with rain, and I'm glad we did. They flipped the room during our cocktail hour and everything was perfect. Emily was there in a pinch with a candle snuffer when we needed it during the ceremony. The food, the lights, the location, the reception hall, the bar and dinner wait staff, and Emily were wonderful. We could not have asked for a better experience. Also the bridal and groom suites were wonderful to have, although the bathroom was a little small for my gigantic dress. Thank you Bristow Manor for a wonderful wedding!

15 and was planning my wedding with Bristow Manor for 3 years. They were there to talk in person and e-mail whenever I wanted to about my wedding and they always kept the stress low! They made sure that the Bride & Groom were happy and stress free! Brittany & Emily truly made my day special & amazing! They are great at communicating and always making me feel confident and excited for the big day! Can't wait to go back to Bristow Manor to visit :)

we dropped off 2 days before the wedding and it was set up beautifully!! Their packages also include flower and tea light centerpieces, linens (napkins and table cloths), and tables and chairs with no extra charge! This was VERY helpful with doing our budgeting!! We are SO happy that we had our wedding here!! You would be too!
