I had my wedding reception at the Brownstone in October 2023, and it was... to summarize it in a word... perfection! The entire night was absolute magic! The Brownstown knows how to do weddings! Our guests are still raving about our wedding 6 months later. They were dazzled by the elegance of the ballrooms and awed by the amount and the excellent quality of the food. We held our cocktail hour in the grand conservatory, and then we moved to the main ballroom for our dinner/reception. Everything flowed seamlessly. I worked with Albert Manzo during the planning process; he was exceptionally helpful, accommodating my schedule for meeting dates/times (I was planning from out of town), and he really went the extra mile to make sure our wedding day was spectacular. Al also helped to ensure our transitions would be least disruptive, giving me great tips for timeline, vendors, etc. He also was exceptionally generous in upgraded our meal and dinner options. On the night of our wedding, our maiter'd, bridal attendant, and captains were also incredible. They were the picture of professionalism, and were so attentive, kind, and complimentary, and they truly helped to make our night extremely special. and oh my word... our cake (made by the Brownstone bakery) was to die for (we did custom flavors which varied by cake tier: chocolate cake with cannoli filling and vanilla cake with white chocolate icing and fresh raspberries...). Also, the surrounding gardens made for the most breathtaking backdrops for pictures!
12 out of 10 stars all the way around! We could not have imagined a better wedding day.
I went to a wedding in this place is VERY disorganized. The waitress there are very unprofessional, rude and mean. The food didn’t come out inútil 11 pm and they got the wrong order for almost everyone in my table and some of the food were undercooked
I WOULD NEVER recommend this place for your special occasion.
Al who is the owner there is a biggest garbage person we have ever encountered in our lives. We booked a room for a wedding and he talked us into a bigger room with much more people than we thought we could handle. We just tried calling to switch the date and amount of people and for what it was and he told us we could do that… He tried to lie and say that we were cancel I’m trying to get our money back even though he said we can use $1000 deposit for anything at any time. Now he saying that we are inconvenienced him because it’s six months to the date and that we don’t have the amount of people like we told him we weren’t gonna have. Then he decided to insult me and my husband and he tried to say that he never talk to anybody but myself. Meanwhile my husband and my in-laws are sitting right next to me. We recorded every meeting we had with him because we do not trust a venue just telling us that we can move days around. Then he saying that he didn’t give a crap that we had a recorded conversation and that basically we were stupid. I don’t know what kind of business person can run a business calling anybody stupid or psychotic. Because my husband started to yell when he was starting to insult us and then I started to yell. He was demeaning us and insulting her as halogens and basically gave us a finger on where we stood with the date in deposit. I would not recommend this place to anybody because all he cares about his money. He’s a crook and he’s a liar he’s a thief and he’s a narcissist. He’s not a decent person and even when I worked for him many years ago he was the same trash person as I remember now. I try to give it a second chance and try not to believe the reviews reviews were right. They do take your money they do screw you and they have the worst food ever. They don’t answer your calls until you badger them so that’s why they call you crazy.
He claims he was never sued but my husband works for a law firm that has figured out that they have been sued five different times in the last few years.
Amazing in every aspect. You will not find a better venue when it comes to food. Their food is out of this world! The venue is welcoming, and beautiful! What’s more impressive is the service. Gary and Gretchen were our Maître D’ s and wow they were so attentive. I needed to take medication at a specific time and they made sure I was aware of the time and took my medication. The Brownstone cares about their couples and look out for them like family, especially Albert. They are not the typical corporate owned venue who is out for a paycheck. They are flexible and willing to work with their couples. We would not have wanted to have our wedding anywhere else.
The Brownstone was AMAZING! We used them for catering services off premises. The food was outstanding! The Chef was fantastic. The Maitre’d John, was the sweetest and so helpful! He was spot on for everything! Everyone loved John and the food. Our family and friends use them for so many events and we will definitely continue to use their services in the future. Definitely recommend.
Tommy was so wonderful and easy to work with. Being a COVID bride brought many challenges to the planning process - venue changes, time changes, changes regarding the number of guests, and countless other things. Tommy was so kind and supportive when we walked in three weeks prior to our original wedding date looking for an outdoor space to host our intimate wedding. He assured us everything would be absolutely perfect and it was. The Brownstone delivered beyond measure. Our cocktail hour and reception food was absolutely delicious. Tommy checked in with us throughout the evening to make sure everything was up to our expectations. The Maitre D and bridal attendant were absolutely fantastic. They had things ready for me before I even had the opportunity to ask. They made sure we were well fed and never had an empty glass. If you are looking for a venue that is easy to work with and has wonderful food - look no further. Tommy and the Brownstone really saved our wedding and we are forever grateful to all of the staff that made our wedding so special during these uncertain times.
We are beyond happy with the wedding we had at The Brownstone. Tommy and Albert really made our wedding day perfect. All our guests could not stop raving about what a great time they had/ how beautiful the venue was along with the attentive service from the waitstaff and how delicious food.
Exceptional service the day of the wedding. Our guests had nothing but good things to say. I got married 8/1/2020 and it was beautiful. So much food and so much hospitality. This was the first venue I looked at and nothing measured up after it!
The Brownstone food is hands down the best. They really hooked us up and gave us an over the top wedding. The cocktail hour had an insane amount of food, both hot and cold, to help yourself to. There also was a dozen different passed appetizers as well as a sushi station, mozzarella station, carving station, taco station, and raw bar. The entree choices were filet mignon, Chilean sea bass, chicken piccata, and veal milanese. The filet or sea bass is absolutely the way to go here as the portions are huge and delicious. Almost everyone ended up boxing their entrees up because they ate so much at the cocktail hour. For dessert we had the wedding cake in addition to a waffle station, zeppoles, chocolate fountain, cookies, pastries, and coffee cordials. There were a few minor details that did not go off as planned like the fireworks during our grand entrance and some of the guests not receiving menus. They also did not box up our food for us so we only left with the top of our wedding cake. It would been have nice to eat some fabulous Brownstone food all week after the wedding. These are only things I would notice though and did not affect the guests experiences. I received so many compliments on how awesome my wedding was.
Al and his team at the Brownstone helped our dream wedding come true! Any phone call, email, or request was answered in a timely manner, and I can’t think of anything they wouldn’t do for us (even a nice warm tray of Pinoli nut cookies during dessert!) We were able to get a sneak peek of our reception before guests arrived and my jaw completely dropped! I had handed them a box of things for the night and they turned the room into my dream come true. I turned to my husband and said this is better than I ever could have imagined. Our bridal assistant was so attentive and kind and brought us literally at least one of everything for our cocktail hour. My husband ate so much beefsteak (a whole tray!) that he couldn’t eat any dinner! Cocktail hour was raved about by our guests and dinner was scrumptious! They even sent us home with one of each meal. The cake was beautiful and the staff worked well together and with our other vendors. We are forever grateful for a perfect day!
My husband and I hosted our son's and his bride's rehearsal dinner with well over 60 guests (yes, it is a large rehearsal dinner) at the Brownstone this past Friday evening and were impressed with their level of professionalism not to mention the food and its presentation. We offered our guests 4 options, each better than the other.
While at the actual wedding, held at a neighboring venue that bills itself as urban industrial chic (buyer beware!), the next day we were asked by a number of guests why the Brownstone wasn't the venue of the day! As mother and father of the groom we could only reply with a polite smile.
We were happy able to give our son and his new bride a lovely evening to remember because unfortunately they were robbed of THE DAY to remember by the other "venue."
Beautiful wedding venue with the MOST amazing food, service, and ambience! My guests are still buzzing, most are from NY and they know good food, let me tell you they were raving not only about how good the food was but the amount and the portion sizes are insane! You can't beat it, the rooms are all beautiful you can tell they really keep up with updating and keeping everything new and elegant! They have beautiful areas outside where you can take pictures. They gave me a bridal attendant, Rose and she was phenomenal, she was doing my bustle in the middle of cocktail hour so i didn't miss a beat, she was so nice and always there for me the entire night, the same goes for our Maitre D Gary, he was also as equally amazing, we didn't have to worry about anything with him running the show! I wish we could do the wedding all over again, the night was perfect and that's largely because the Brownstone and their amazing staff! Thank you!
This venue was amazing to me! My family has always had events at this location and it’s always gone off without a hitch. My wedding came with a bridal assistant and materde and they both made sure I ate and drank water. I had absolutely everything I wanted.
We were warned in advance not to work with Albert and I wish we had listened. He will only care about your wedding if you’re willing to spend an obnoxious amount of money, even then he probably won’t care. He truly belittles everything and makes you feel like he doesn’t care. Very disappointing. And he’s horrible at communicating. Fortunately, the other staff was very helpful and showed that our business with them was valued. However they did mess up the cake- iced it properly but the inside was for someone else’s order. They fixed it in a few minutes mainly because I told them that it would not be served to our guests so i assume they cut into someone else’s cake. Overall, I’m unimpressed and would suggest many other places before someone considers the Brownstone for an event. It’s pretty but getting extremely outdated on the inside.
The food was absolutely amazing. I have to say that. Brownstone also organized valet parking for us and that went very smoothly and I have no complaints. I also have to admit that I was planning my wedding from out of state, and that we hired the Brownstone as an off-site caterer and none of this may be applicable to anyone hosting an event at the Brownstone. But I found it extremely difficult to work with the Brownstone. I understand that caterers often work late nights, but I usually wake up around 4:45am, so when I was told on multiple occasions to try calling back after 11pm, it was just not reasonable. They're not particularly responsive to email, and there were several expensive last minute problems that could have been entirely avoided if our emails had been read/ responded to- for example, I emailed them my rental contract to ensure that I had ordered everything we needed a full month before the wedding- 4 days before the wedding the Brownstone sent me an email and said I was missing over $3000 worth of items that they need. I could absolutely have gotten most of those things for cheaper than what the rental company was charging, but with 4 days to go I didn't have time! They also told me I needed to rent a $200 fryer so that they could cook $180 worth of calamari for the cocktail hour; so I told them to just forget the calamari altogether, but because it was only 4 days before the wedding I was only able to remove things from our menu, not add-- we ended up having plenty of food anyway, but it was still last minute stress that we didn't need!
I would also encourage anyone working with the Brownstone to be very careful about their rentals as well. On my contract with a rental company, Brownstone was listed as the salesperson, so I am understandably suspicious about $3000 worth of last minute rentals that were "absolutely necessary"-- especially things like fryers, coffee pots, and chafing dishes, the former being something I'd expect the caterer to have in their own kitchen and the latter being what I would consider to be very basic tools of their trade and not something I should have had to rent for them (the much smaller caterer I used for the rehearsal dinner provided all of these things!).
On the other hand, I didn't use that same rental company for my napkins and tablecloths, and the Brownstone staff absolutely destroyed all of the linens, which I doubt they would have done to the company they work with. Out of 15 tablecloths and 150 napkins, I was only able to return 2 tablecloths and 25 napkins. The rest were damaged beyond repair because at the end of the night instead of clearing the tables (like they were supposed to do) they just wrapped up the linens and everything on the table (including candles, plastic cups containing liquid, food, napkins, parts from centerpieces, etc) and shoved them into boxes; by the time we dug through the boxes when we were returning them, the linens were covered in mold and had bugs in them and weren't accepted for return from the other rental company.
I'm not saying don't use the Brownstone- they're probably great for in-house events. But for off-site events, if you don't have a wedding planner or someone to stay on top of them, it might be more trouble than it's worth.

We had our wedding reception at the Brownstone on May 26th, 2018 and I don't think it is possible for me to express how wonderful everything was. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD. We have not stopped hearing about it and our wedding was almost 3 weeks ago. Most weddings I've been to have had a great cocktail hour but you're normally served some overcooked piece of filet or some bland salmon but not at the Brownstone. The prices were far better than some of the other venues we priced Naninas, Seasons, Rock Island etc. The menu we received for what we would have paid anywhere else for a Saturday night wedding was far superior.
The service also ties everything together. Albert and my wedding coordinator truly went above and beyond. They are seasoned vets but they understand your concerns and deal with you patiently and attentively. We also had a head serve Mina who my husband and I raved to each other about our entire honeymoon. You know how you hear you don't eat on your wedding day? Not if Mina is serving your wedding. She made sure we were able to sample every single piece of food served at our wedding. She kept our cocktails full, as well as our waters.
I can't thank them enough for what was truly the best night of my life.
The Brownstone provided off-site catering for our recent wedding reception at White Eagle Hall. Staff was professional, courteous, and did an amazing job on the wedding day. The entire process went very smoothly, from booking, to picking out menu, to day-of logistics. Guests continue to talk about how good the food/service was that night. The Brownstone even surprised us with a leprechaun ice sculpture for our St. Patrick's Day wedding! Highly recommended!
I recently had my bridal shower at the Brownstone this past October 2017 in the Red room. The room has a lot of charm and is so pretty once it was all set up for the bridal shower. We had a fantastic time that day. The food was plentiful and overall delicious. The staff at the Brownstone was so helpful throughout the event and the service was terrific. We had about 40 guests at the shower and many of them raved about the food and how it was one of the best showers they’ve been to. Another great thing about this venue is that they offer all inclusive packages that cover all food with options for different liquor packages, which is not as easy to find in NJ for a shower as you would think. Overall we had an amazing time! I would also recommend this venue for a small or large wedding, as there are multiple rooms available for parties of all sizes and each room is unique in its own way. Fantastic job!
An amazing venue!!! The food was delicious, it was decorated beautifully. The staff was amazing. We worked with Albert (request to speak with him directly he was the best), rose our bridal attendant, Mina our waitress. They all took great care of us. It was the best day and everyone loved it!
The Brownstone exceeded all of our expectations prior to our wedding and on the day of! Incredible staff, service and food. Big thanks to Tommy who made our wedding a dream come true and a day we will never forget. You can't go wrong with the Brownstone! 4 months later and our friends and family are still raving about The Brownstone and the incredible food!
We had the best wedding at the Brownstone and couldn't have been happier! We worked directly with Albert who was extremely accommodating to all of our needs. We felt that we got so much for the price we paid. Everyone raved about the food and how much of it there was. All of the staff was extremely polite and personable. They were super helpful with setup and cleanup as well. The grounds were perfect for our photos, and we had plenty of space. We didn't book a venetian table, but they set up our cake, pastries and international coffee station outside of the Grand Ballroom. It was like a venetian table and it was the best surprise! Basically, the Brownstone is willing to accommodate practically any request, and they do it with a smile. Also, they have a fantastic reputation and I would recommend this venue to everyone!
We are SO pleased with the absolute FEAST we had at our wedding. We went all out with this wedding and the menu for cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert was outstanding. We knew that this was the most important vendor we could book, and the Brownstone did not disappoint us or our guests. We worked with Tommy, who helped ensure that everything went as planned. All of our guests said it was the best wedding reception they had ever been to and that everything they ate was incredible.
We dealt mainly with Cathy one of the banquet managers. After having to meet with another manager because Cathy is not in on Fridays, we found out that she actually put a set-up bar fee on our bill that was not part of our party. She was not readily available to answer questions. After the party I e-mailed her, and did not receive a response. When we called to discuss our concerns, it was as if she never read my e-mail (she probably didn't). She was COMPLETELY UNHELPFUL, reporting the she could not address our concerns, only the owner could. We provided our contact information for the owner to call. 2 weeks later and NOTHING. They are completely UNPROFESSIONAL. My family and I booked a party there, and had several versions of the "contract" that says it should be signed, which no contract was ever signed. We were told we had to "guarantee" a certain number of guests and were expected to pay for any number over that. Well we paid, and then were told by several STAFF members at the brownstone to make sure to take a total head count at the party and let the banquet manager(s) know so we could get our money back. When we did and e-mailed them, SEVERAL days went by and we received no response. When we called about the e-mail and to speak to Cathy in the office, it was as if the e-mail was never seen. She told us they do not give refunds- well the contact does not say that. In fact the contract does not say ANYTHING about not giving refunds, only that the party is responsible for paying for the guaranteed number of guests. The person at the front desk had no idea how to pronounce our party's name. The person at the front desk was also sending the wrong people to our party, and our guests to another party. The cake was completely wrong. I was also disappointed the Brownstone did not provide food cards- you would think that an establishment that has a reputation of catering would have food labels. Several of my guests had food allergies, which is why we specifically picked the food we did, and labeled the food. The bar tenders were not friendly, at all. Several family members and friends reported that they were rude and nasty to them. I understand that the bar tenders were also assisting other parties as well, but I was very disappointed. I witnessed them blatantly ignoring my guests, and this was when the bar was not full AT ALL- there were five of us in the bar area and no one else. They walked away from my guests as they attempted to order, made comments about the drinks people ordered, and asked my guests to walk to another end of the bar to order. The "greeted" guests with "what do you want," which I believe is inappropriate. Several guests commented that it was obvious the bartenders did not want to be there, and refused to tip them. I am sure the Brownstone is capable of handling several parties at once for the bar, but when we initially met with the Brownstone staff, and even after communicating back and forth, wristbands or some marker to signify who was party of our party was suggested. We went with wristbands, and they were not even checked. I am hoping that the bill is correct. We had a prime rib station... the prime rib was EXTREMELY fatty- and the main hostess of my party actually sent it back. We had to go around to our guests apologizing, which was extremely embarrassing, and let them know they could get another piece. The carver at the station also had no idea how to carve the prime rib.
The staff at the brownstone was awesome! They went above and beyond to ensure 1000% that my wedding day was the most memorable and outstanding day! All of my guests approached my family members and said it was the best wedding they'd attended.... some even said it was the best wedding EVER!
Everything there was amazing and they made the night perfect. Everyone couldn't stop raving about the food!
A BEAUTIFUL VENUE FOR SURE!!! We had nothing but compliments from our guests about the venue space, the food and the service. These folks have been doing this for a long time and it shows, they set up our space in no time and followed my directions almost exactly. We delt with Albert the owner, who is nice but less-than-warm. You can tell he does this all day every day and we were just another even to him. We had a great time and a beautiful wedding overall. Why only 4 stars? Because there were small issues only the bridal party would know about. For example, they changed the code of the bridal suite door 3 times but didn't tell us about it so no one could get back into the suite, EVER. We were charged for a mandatory bridal attendant who was supposed to be there at noon but didn't show up until almost 3 when everyone was already dressed. The same bridal attendant, Rose, was great when you could find her, but most of the time I have no idea where she was. She was supposed to fluff my dress just before I walked out but she was no where to be found (my veil was also crooked, which she might have caught had she been there). AND she lost my veil. After the ceremony she took my great-grandmother's antique veil off my head and that's the last time I ever saw it, it did not get sent home with us and the venue said they couldn't locate it the following day. The food was amazing, or so we were told. We only saw 3 of our 10 passed appetizers, I wish they had brought a plate of all of them to the sweetheart table for us to try. They sent us home with 2 bags of food but it was a very strange assortment. LOTS of cake and only a little bit of food, and not one of each entre which is what I was hoping for. Now my guests did not notice a thing and we got tons of complements and had a great wedding, so overall we do recommend the Brownstone, just not a 5 star venue as we had hoped for.
I did not get married at the Brownstone, I did however use them for off site catering for my wedding this past September. I cannot say enough good things about the food. Everything was so good that all my guests raved about it for days after. The staff that was sent to my wedding location was amazing!! My husband and I had someone from the staff all to ourselves and was she was always checking in on us and even brought our food to our "sweet heart" table. The food and service was amazing and they get 5 stars in my review. The reason I am not giving them a 5 star rating is because of the service leading up to my big day. We made two appointments with Tom and each time, regardless of being his first appointment, we waited over an hour before he came out to greet us. The ladies at the front desk kept apologizing and asked us if we would like anything to drink, again 5 star service. When finally getting into Tom's office I always felt like I was being rushed, he was always nice, just always felt rushed. I would recommend using the brownstone for any catering event you need, just expect to wait.
I was so nervous about how my wedding would turn out because throughout the entire planning process, I felt as though I was not being heard. The coordinator always seemed put off by my extensive questions and concerns, took forever to reply, and sometimes just didn't reply at all. He kept saying that they always do the planning a month before the wedding, but as a complete DIY bride I wanted to make sure everything would go the way I expected. The week of my wedding, after not hearing back from him, I called to find out he went on vacation without telling me and wasn't due to return until my wedding day! So, needless to say, I was panicking.
HOWEVER, I expressed my concerns, was put in contact with BOTH owners, and they saw to my concerns immediately and with great care.
The day of my wedding was INCREDIBLE. It turned out, several of my concerns and requests were accommodated without our coordinator letting us know, so it ended up working out. AND the staff was AMAZING. My two bridal attendants were super sweet, our maitre-d was very through, the people who set up followed my instructions to a T (yes, I provided legitimate photos and instructions for how I wanted all my DIY decor set up!), and the service staff were amazing. Mina was such a doll!! The ONLY thing that I didn't like was that the maitre-d never announced dessert that was set up outside, so only a handful of my guests got wedding cake or our desserts, which was super disappointing.
BUT, while the process was a bit rocky due to a lack of communication, the Brownstone truly knows what they're doing and my day could not have been more perfect. It was everything I dreamed up and I didn't have to stress about a thing.
THANK YOU BROWNSTONE!
Absolutely outstanding! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding. Tommy was great to work with, he made sure that everything was perfect! The staff was equally as great. Very attentive and helpful.
From a guest perspective, our wedding at the Brownstone was perfect! The food was exceptional and the room was beautiful (particularly the glass atrium where the ceremony was performed). Everyone had a wonderful time, and it was a beautiful celebration. One of the servers was incredibly attentive to my husband and I throughout the night, preparing special cocktail plates for us to make sure we were eating and enjoying our evening.
The things preventing me from giving all five stars are the following:
1. Although we had paid for a private bridal suite, what we received was far from private. We shared the bridal suite with another bridal party, making my bridal preparations far from intimate and fun. Despite my arguing with Brownstone personnel, I was informed that the other bridal party would be out in a few hours (a time that was actually after my ceremony - totally unhelpful). We even had to share a bathroom with the other bridal party. I'm talking 2 brides, 10 bridesmaids, 1 bathroom.
2. The maitre d was absent for most of the night. Guests wandered in and had no idea where to go. Some of the guests (including the GROOM) were even directed up to the bridal suite, where they walked in on me and my bridesmaids getting dressed for the wedding. When I was finally able to locate the maitre d, he seemed far from concerned and nonchalantly escorted the guests downstairs to the bar area. Also, he would not let the groomsmen usher in guests to the ceremony area (for a reason that remains unknown to me), and as a result, no one informed the guests where to sit. As I walked down the aisle, I noticed that 90% of guests were sitting on the grooms side. This disproportionate seating arrangement made it incredibly difficult to get good pictures of the guests at the ceremony. Additionally, when I tracked down the maitre d during the reception to inform him that guests were complaining how hot it was (and I was sweating), I was given attitude and informed that "the thermometer is already set at 66. What else do you want from me?" The maitre d never checked in with me or my husband throughout the night - we were on our own entirely.
3. Although I had discussed having a receiving line directly following the ceremony with Al (our Brownstone planner), as I walked down the aisle with my new husband, I was directed by Brownstone personnel elsewhere, changing the plans at the last possible second. They would not listen to me, and I was informed that this change was nonnegotiable. This made the receiving line incredibly confusing for everyone involved, and it detracted from my husband and I enjoying our first moments as a married couple.
Overall, it ended up being a wonderful night despite these few negative experiences. If you're a flexible, adaptable bride, this is still the perfect place for a wedding. But be prepared that this venue is a factory - they're trying to fit as many celebrations into the night as possible, regardless of whether that detracts from your special experience.
Absolutely Incredible!
From the moment we walked into the Grand Conservatory for cocktail hour, we were blown away with the presentation and amount of food that the Brownstone offered. Everything was displayed beautifully and our guests, throughout the night, kept giving us compliments about the exquisite food and the lovely, inviting atmosphere. The Brownstone's outside gardens made for a perfect backdrop for some of our formal portraits and the main ballroom offered the romantic feeling that I wanted for our wedding reception.
Thank you to the Manzo gentlemen, Albert and Tommy, for being attentive and flexible in all of our wedding planning. You made our day incredibly wonderful and one that we won't forget! Thank you to the magnificent wait staff, especially our personal server Mina and personal assistant Juan, for their help in keeping our guests happy, for always offering a smile, and for keeping things running smoothly! I know everyone enjoyed themselves and without your help, it would not have happened the way it did. Thank you to the on-site baker and the chefs in the kitchen! The cake and food was absolutely amazing and everyone is still talking about it!
The Brownstone delivered our dream wedding and to the future brides and grooms, you will not be disappointed in choosing this venue. It was a night to remember for both us and our guests!
My husband and I reached out to and visited numerous venues for our NYE wedding and came across The Brownstone thanks to relatives who had previously attended events that were held there. Albert Manzo made us feel welcomed and was reassuring explaining how we could have a spectacular wedding within our budget! We were sold both on his promise as well as the breathtaking building and grounds that offered a beautiful and warm atmosphere. The planning process was hassle-free thanks to Mr. Manzo's knowledge and experience, his guidance was instrumental and made our wedding day a huge success! The food was delectable, the service was outstanding and everyone had an amazing time, Mr. Manzo kept his word. I also have to give a huge thanks to both our MatreD(Gregory) and my bridal attendants (Johnna & Denise) who made sure Tom and I had everything we needed from drinks to food, even my change of shoes and a card box we had accidentally left behind! The Brownstone is certainly a top-notch venue and I can't wait to have another reason to host an event there, as I want to relive our experience again and again :)
Mr Manzo was incredibly nice and flexible. He gave great suggestions, and worked with our budget, or any budget you have. The grand ballroom is gorgeous. We got married in the grand conservatory, another beautiful room. They can host several events at one time, and focus on your big day. The food was amazing, the staff very professional, and they catered to anything my husband and I needed/wanted.
I am still in awe of my *perfect* Wedding Day at the Brownstone that took place this Spring. From the atmosphere, to the service, to the top-notch cuisine, I could not have even imagined anything more incredible. Albert, Tommy and everyone there went above and beyond to make my dreams come true!
We cannot say enough good things about the Brownstone in Paterson, NJ. Our guests are still raving about the food. Our wedding was fabulous & couldn't ask for a more perfect day!
Highly Recommend the Brownstone!
Everything came out perfect! The food was delicious, and the servers/bartenders owners went above and beyond to make sure everything went great! I've never seen the bride glow as much as she did that night! When I get married, I will definitely want to get married here!
My husband and I searched TONS of venues and the Brownstone treated us with such respect and enthusiasm for our wedding day that our decision was a simple one to make. The food was out of this world, as we are reminded of this often with friends and family, and the venue space was roomy and beautiful. The staff was extremely attentive and made sure that our reception ran smoothly. I will admit that it was a challenge to get in touch with a few people leading up to the day of the wedding, so communication was challenging at times, but I can overlook all of that because they did an incredible job with our wedding reception.
My parents had to unexpectedly move out of town and if anyone has ever planned a wedding, you know it's very difficult to do without your parents. My family has had every party, wedding, graduation, etc with the brownstone so when I got engaged, there was no question as to where I was having my wedding. When I chose to have my wedding and reception at the brownstone, I was greeted with open arms and treated with the utmost respect. My questions were answered and I was given great advice. The day of, everything was taken care of and my guests were amazing by the beauty of the venue, the food, and the professionalism of the staff. I'd highly recommend the brownstone to anyone.
I was a very nervous bride especially with the wedding planning process. I have been to the Brownstone on several occasions and felt like the venue was a home away from home. I was able to work with Denise who made me feel like a sister especially when picking out different menu items and the décor. She is a natural and even came in the day of my wedding to take a picture with me. My husband and I were all over the place talking to our guests that we forgot to eat. We soon found out that our bridal assistant grabbed us all our favorite food and gave us a few minutes alone before we were introduced. The rest of the night went as smoothly as I could have possibly imagined and our guests are still calling us and thanking us for such a fabulous night.
Thanks to the Brownstone staff, our wedding day was everything we dreamed of. Everyone is still raving about the food, service & atmosphere. Our banquet manager Scott paid attention to every detail & everything went so smoothly. I can't wait to have another function at The Brownstone. You can't get better food anywhere else!
A month later and we are still in awe about the elegance and charm that The Brownstone has provided us on our wedding day. When we first sat down and met with Albert, he was extremely attentive and gave us all the in's and out's of what wedding planning is supposed to be like. He made the process stress free and invited as many questions as we possibly could think of. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an abundance of food from shrimp cocktail, fresh mozzarella, homemade sushi, and so much more. The cocktail hour was just the start to our dream wedding. The food beat any expectations that my husband and I have had. The flow and ambiance allowed for a flawless transition to our main ball room where we danced all night and ate some more. The staff and maître 'd helped with our introductions and making sure everyone had their choice of dinner within a timely manner. The dj that was recommended by the Brownstone was incredible and had all our guests dancing on their feet all night long. An event that takes months and months of planning lasted just a few hours that has embedded memories that will last a life time.
The Brownstone did an amazing job in making sure all of our dreams came true. We worked with Albert and he went above and beyond from the very first meeting. He was very patient, gave us great suggestions, and made sure everything was covered. The day of my wedding I didn't have to worry about a thing because Albert was there making sure everything went smoothly.
From the moment I arrived at the Brownstone, everything was perfect. The bridal suite was filled with food and drinks for the bridal party. The two bridal attendants were so sweet and made sure I was all set before the ceremony. One of them even ran (literally) to get me a glass of water as I was just about to walk down the aisle. And thankfully they were both there to help bustle my dress since my bridesmaids were having trouble. I can't thank them enough!!
Our head waitress, Mina, was outstanding. She was very attentive, made sure we ate, had fresh drinks, and looked after our parent's tables all night. She is simply amazing!
You will not get better food at a wedding than at the Brownstone. Many guests commented that they have never seen that much food before, and all of it was delicious! From them cracking open fresh lobster and passing rack of lamb, to the rice balls and mini cheesesteaks, the cocktail hour was over the top! The dinner (choice of salad, choice of pasta and choice of entree) was perfect and we had a beautiful and elaborate viennese hour. Both coming from big Italian families, the food was very important and the Brownstone exceeded expectations!!
After the wedding we moved to the bar downstairs and they served sliders, egg sandwiches and french fries...our guests loved it!
THANK YOU for everything - you guys are THE BEST!
From the moment I walked into the Brownstone, I knew that this would be an excellent place to have my wedding. I had booked an appointment with Al and the level of comfort I experienced while planning my wedding was amazing. He did everything he could to make it look like I had the most elaborate wedding within my budget.
When my husband and I arrived on our wedding day we were greeted by a lovely bridal assistant and escorted to an elegant bridal suite that was prepared with champagne, wine and hor'doerves. Once entering our cocktail hour the staff waited on us hand and foot.....felt like a king and queen, haha. We were impressed by the decour and how the Brownstone respected all of our requests from the centerpieces to the candles. Many of our guests commented on how good the food was.
Our wedding was 12/31/2013 and my guests are still raving over that night! Not only was the wedding absolutely perfect but the planning could not of gone any smoother. Owners Tommy Manzo and Albert Manzo provided us with such attention and listened to ever detail we wanted! Denise Limone was our wedding coordinator and she was available at all times to keep us updated on anything we needed. The food at The Brownstone was never ending, our cocktail hour was so delicious I've never had anything like that before! All of our guests enjoyed their dinners so much and then came out the desserts which had everything from chocolate fountains to cotton candy! Katie Pagnozzi the Baker at The Brownstone created the most beautiful cake covered in rhinestones and details to match my dress! I think back at that night like it was a dream, we truly had the best night of our lives and it was all thanks to The Brownstone!
Tommy Manzo made sure every detail of our day was beyond excellent. The food cocktail hour and dinner, the cake, the attendants, the presentation, everything was a perfect 10! We had the grand ballroom and I couldn't even describe how it took my breath away how everything came together so perfectly! When we were telling people our wedding would be at the Brownstone they would gasp and say how nice it would be, and we were looking forward to it counting the days. After the wedding so many family and friends told us ours was the best wedding they have ever been to!
If i had a vision of how my wedding would look, the Brownstone blew the vision out of the water making our day special. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The Cesares
We booked the Brownstone for both the reception and ceremony. In the beginning I was a bit hesitant because of their famousness (is that even a word LOL) but I knew quite a few people who were married there or had parties there before the cameras and everyone told me that I couldn't go wrong. I was very impressed after our initial meeting and booked a week later after our second meeting. We dealt with Albert and he was great and patient with me. The pricing per person was determined on the menu. We had an estimated price and once we finalized the menu, the price either went up or down, for us it went up because we added things. I loved that I was able to do this. They call it a utopian menu because they don't want their patrons to feel like they can't change the menu if they need/want to. Many other venues we visited, we didn't have this capability. The food was amazing. I can't even say enough about the food. Everyone is still talking about it 3 weeks later. Our bridal attendants were the sweetest ever and made sure I had everything I needed before the ceremony. Our maitre d was amazing. There aren't enough words to describe how awesome he was. In the bridal suite before the ceremony, I had realized I left something that was vital to our reception at the hotel. FIL was checking to see if someone could run back for it and the maitre d was on the phone with the hotel and I was explaining exactly where it was. I thought the hotel was going to get it from the room for whoever FIL could get to go back. But nope, the maitre d saw how upset I was and explained it to the hotel and when the shuttle returned from dropping off our guests at the venue, the shuttle brought what was left back. I will forever be grateful for that.
Thank you very much for being apart of our Wedding, the service you provided was impeccable from the initial reservation inquiry to the final guest leaving that night everything was perfect, we are very glad to have made the right choice. Thank you Michelle & Arthur
Food was amazing, staff esp Tommy was very helpful!
The Brownstone was amazing from top to bottom! The room, food and staff were just perfect! Everyone has complimented me on my exceptional wedding and I owe it all to my venue! I used Brownstone Entertainment Group so my Officiant, DJ and photographer were all recommended by the Brownstone making everything not only perfect but EASY and EFFORTLESS!!!! I have to give a special thanks to my Bridal Assistant (provided) who pulled me through every minor (even though they felt MAJOR) catastrophe! Needless to say I loved them!
The Brownstone was very easy to work with- they are truly professionals who are very experienced and know how to handle everything. I have been to The Brownstone for multiple different events and their food is always delicious. I knew I wouldn't have to worry about the food being anything less than fantastic- I am still receiving compliments on how amazing the food at the wedding was. They handled everything from setting up the candy buffet I bought for wedding favors to hanging up signs and personal decorations I brought. The only negative thing I can say is that at the end of the night they threw away all my votive candles that I asked them to save, and they lost two of the candy jar lids I brought. But overall it was a wonderful time, they had people taking care of everything so I didn't have to worry about a thing- they even had a personal attendant for my husband and I bringing us food during cocktail hour, ect. so that we could actually eat at our wedding while still socializing and not have to worry about getting/missing any food. The best part was the very reasonable price- you won't find a more beautiful venue with as much food, open bar, etc. in Northern New Jersey for such a low price. I would highly recommend using them for a venue.
After my wedding at The Brownstone, I said to many people: "If you are money-conscious AND want an amazing wedding and you don't consider The Brownstone you are a FOOL!"
I didn't think it was possible to spend a reasonable amount of money AND have the wedding of our dreams, but The Brownstone made that happen! The food and service are IMPECCABLE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!
The service we received as bride and groom was incomparable! We truly felt special that evening. We were waited on hand and foot and wanted for nothing! We would not hesitate to book the Brownstone for any future occasions!
I have not one bad thing to say about The Brownstone. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD. You absolutely can't beat the price, the staff goes above and beyond! My husband, family and I were impressed to the max!!! We will have every event here forever!!!!!!!
I used the Brownstone for my wedding. They were amazing!!!! The food was delicious all around. People could not stop eating! The staff was excellent. They did anything that we asked them. While planning the wedding, they were helpful and gave me advice when needed. I felt so comfortable working with them!!!!!!!
The Brownstone was truly a beautiful venue for our wedding! They provided us with wonderful personal service, the food is amazing-you get alot for the price. The decor is lovely-they have outdoor patios, and gorgeous conservatory.
We also had our ceremony there.
I have attended many events here! Absolutely a great time, every time!
When we sat down with Al (the owner) we knew we would have nothing to worry about. We gave him a few ideas about what we had in mind which he interpreted and turned into exactly what we were looking for. We haven't stopped hearing great reviews about the quantity AND quality of all of the food that they served and there was A LOT. Gary C. (our maitre d) made sure we were taken care of and the night flowed perfectly.
I know that everyone knows the Brownstone from the TV show, however i fell in love with the Brownstone long before the show. I can tell you that the one thing that all your guests will talk about after the day is over is THE FOOD!! What i can promise you is AMAZING FOOD at the brownstone. We did a full cocktail reception because we wanted a continuous party. If you have been many weddings you will hear the same thing, "i never eat the dinner". So we decided to do entire cocktail reception. And the Brownstone is famous for their amazing cocktail hours. We had a ton of food and people are still talking about our wedding from 10-22-10. We also had our ceremony here in the Grand Conservatory which was intimate and romantic. We had the entire upstairs for our party and the Grand Ballroom is so elegant and warm. I want to do it all over again.
We ended up going with the Brownstone due to the beautiful decor. Other places that we had seen (that even charged more than the Brownstone!) had looked like they needed updating and looked cheap/fake "nice". The cocktail hour had 3 main areas for our guests to go 1)with wood paneling and a piano, 2) a solarium and 3) an outdoor area complete with a fountain. There was so much food and so many stations that some of our guests were confused and thought that was the dinner! Everyone raved about the "gourmet" and "foodie friendly" appetizer selections that we had picked. We were in the upper room which was gorgeous. Dinner was amazing. The only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was at the end of the reception, rather then putting all of the flowers, table decor in one place for my parents to take home (we were having a family party the next day and wanted the floors there), the waiters just started throwing them away. Someone noticed after about 1/4 of them were in the trash. I was just a little upset that they wouldn't ask my parents or us (we were the last ones out the door as people kept coming up to say goodbye!) if we wanted to keep them. The best parts of the Brownstone are the amazing food and the beautiful atmosphere! You must see for yourself.
excellent.excellent.excellent!!
