If I could do more stars I would! First, the venue just sells itself, it’s absolutely beautiful in there and so many beautiful areas for photos. Second, the event team was absolutely the best! My husband and I just did an intimate vow exchange with our immediate families and this team went above and beyond to make our day more beautiful than we even dreamed possible for something so small. They kept in constant contact with me, I never felt overwhelmed or on my own. They had answers for questions I didn’t even think to ask. They really just made our day so special and beautiful. Everything about our experience was stress free and so easy. Having our wedding there was the best decision we’ve made and I will absolutely have any future parties there!
Asher and Sally were FABULOUS. The venue itself was beautiful and everyone was incredibly helpful. Asher answered our questions even after hours and on the weekend! Thank you for such a memorable night!
Beautiful place for a wedding, slightly organized due to event coordinators being swapped out. Was hard to contact for a while. Everything worked out and it was beautiful, however communication is lacked
Any questions?
The Botanical Gardens was the perfect location for our smaller, intimate wedding ceremony (~70 guests). Morgan made sure our rehearsal and ceremony went perfectly, and everything went exactly as expected. The Gardens team was great at accommodating day-of changes due to weather and were very knowledgeable about great photo locations for our first look and group/family photos. Would highly recommend!
We could not have had a more naturally beautiful and unique venue than this place. Absolutely stunning, the staff was incredible and super accommodating. They have two other weddings that day before ours and I was blown away by how quickly everything was set up and how smoothly the transition was. Can't recommend them enough!
The Botanical Gardens was a beautiful place to have our wedding ceremony. We decorated with flower petals going down the aisle and flowers on the structure. We were originally supposed to have our ceremony in June 2020, but it was rescheduled to October 2020. Amy Rae was easy to work with and helped us with our changes. Our wedding was originally supposed to be on a Saturday and when it was moved to a Sunday (due to vendor availability) they had me sign a new contract where I paid a lesser amount due to having the ceremony on Sunday. They did a good job with the rehearsal the day before, and it was nice knowing that if weather did not cooperate, we could have our ceremony indoors. It was cool that guests had the opportunity to go inside to the gardens after our ceremony. We got beautiful pictures on the grounds of the Botanical Garden and inside.
We were excited to book our ceremony here for October 2020. Needless to say, that didn't happen with COVID. Our contact was very difficult to get ahold of throughout the process of going over options, rescheduling and eventually cancelling. I had to email and/or call 2-3 times before I received a response. Once I requested a cancellation there was radio silence for 4 weeks before I, once more, had to follow up. At this point I was informed my deposit would be docked an administration fee which I found laughable since they were hardly diligent in handling just the beginning stages of my event. To add insult to injury when our refund check arrived, my name was spelled incorrectly. Definitely think we dodged a bullet skipping this venue.

Beautiful setting for our wedding ceremony!!!! Multiple changes to staff, felt a little forgot about. Very hot day of. Could have been more comfortable inside the house.
We absolutely loved having our ceremony at the gardens. Our original plan was to hold the ceremony outside, but due to weather, we made the call to move it indoors. Caitlin and her team did an amazing job making the transition to indoors seem effortless and the ceremony went on perfectly! Everything was beautiful and our pictures turned out amazing. We would definitely recommend the Botanical Gardens to anyone looking for a unique place to hold their wedding ceremony.
This vendor was great overall and we would get married there again. The main thing we didn't like about them was the restricted list of caterers that you have to choose from. This was a destination wedding for us and so we didn't have the opportunity to try out more than one of the caterer options before committing to one, so we went by reviews online and just picked one (Tonawanda Castle). The Gardens also said this was their most popular caterer so we figured it would be safe. However, the food was bland and so the caterer is one of our wedding regrets. Would have appreciate having more options from the Gardens there or a better catering recommendation. Other than that, the Gardens worked with us on pretty much everything else and were pleasant and professional.

Thank you for choosing the Botanical Gardens for your special day! We are so happy to hear your experience with us was great, however, we are very sad to hear of your experience with your selected caterer.
We are constantly evaluating our ve...
ndors to ensure we are aligned with professional companies that provide a great product for our clients. Your feedback is important to us. We are happy to announce that in 2020 we are diversifying our caterer list to offer more options to our clients.
We will share your concerns with the caterer and discuss how we can service clients better in the future based on your feedback.
Thank you again and congratulations on your wedding!
I would like to start off by saying that when I initially picked this venue for my wedding site I was assigned a wonderful coordinator named Julie. A month before my wedding I was informed that Julie had resigned and my new coordinator was Caitlin. Thanks to Caitilin this was probably the worst day of my life, here are the details:Caitlin not only lacked proper communication and knowledge of the flow of a wedding, she was also very insensitive to the needs of a bride and what the most important part of a wedding day should be.
My family were coming from places all over the globe like Japan and Canada. Most were stranded in the airport due to bad weather in the northeast Us for 2 days trying to get to Buffalo. We begged her to postponed a few minutes more for them to get there. She made it seem like we had to urgently walk down the isle in order to not delay the reception. None of my family members were on my side due to this flight delay and I was still pushed to walk!! They literally missed the ceremony by 10mins.
The wrong song was played at the end of the ceremony and None of my guests blew bubbles as per my instructions. Many of the guests lingered instead of being escorted into the cocktail hour so they were in some of our pictures. I could go on and on but to summarize, please save your money and go elsewhere for your wedding. I hardly write reviews but this had to be written.
We were so happy with choosing the gardens for our wedding! We had our ceremony outside at the gardens and it was perfect from start to finish, Christina was amazing at helping us through the process and making sure that we had all the support and help we needed in addition to checking in with us before the ceremony! We highly recommend them for anyone looking for a fun, beautiful and unique wedding ceremony venue!!
Christina has been awsome with communication and very helpful !
We went with the Botanical Gardens for our wedding and really enjoyed it! We worked mostly with Christina, the events director, and she was always quick to respond to our emails and full of ideas on different things we could do within the space. The gardens themselves were beautiful, and the outside ceremony we wanted came out spectacularly. Because it was a greenhouse it was a little warm inside for the reception, but the spaces looked beautiful and the guests all commented on how they had never been to a prettier venue. One of the greenhouses was under construction for our wedding, so we missed out on the dinosaur topiaries (my favorites!), but that should be finished in 2016. Also one word of advice to your photographer - it is a cavernous space, so night pictures inside come out dark. Make sure they have the right flash to capture it.
Overall, the Botanical Gardens is a beautiful setting and they are easy to work with. We recommend them to anyone looking for a great garden location!
Even though morty the corpse flower was present inside the gardens the staff did a wonderful job of keeping visitors and the stink away from my outdoor wedding!
We were so pleased with our ceremony at the gardens. It was a beautiful setting and we have many nice pictures from the gardens. The staff Steve and Christina are great to work with. They did a great job running our rehearsal practice as our officiant could not attend our rehearsal.
STUNNING location, especially in August when the perennials are in bloom. The coordinators were amazing, especially since a family member with no experience married us. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. They have a great rain "backup plan." most venues leave you outside in some fashion. At the gardens you AND YOUR GUESTS are moved into one of their large greenhouses. This was soooo comforting. I can't wait to see my pictures! I can't say enough about Christina and Steve. They saw to all the details, organized the walks, helped time the music and clearly have the experience and knowledge to handle anything. They definitely helped me relax and be able to enjoy the ceremony.
This was the first and only venue my husband and I looked at for our wedding. From our very first meeting with Mary Rose, it was clear that not only was the space exactly what we wanted for our wedding, but also that the staff truly cared about our event. They were always very prompt at responding to emails and were willing to meet with us as many times as we felt necessary during the planning process. Sadly, a few weeks before our wedding, we received notice that Mary Rose was no longer at the Gardens, and were a bit nervous since she had been the person we worked closest with the entire time. However, when I met with Steve the week before my wedding, it was clear that he knew exactly what to do and that our wedding was in good hands. Our wedding day went off without any problems whatsoever! Steve and Joy handled everything beautifully and were just plain fun to have there! They kept us on schedule for everything, but without being pushy. They brought us drinks throughout the evening and even brought a plate of appetizers to us as we were lining up for our introductions so we had something to eat. They took care of calling all of our vendors the week before the wedding to coordinate everything, so I didn't have to worry about doing this, and they coordinated everything the day of as well. Thanks to them, I was able to relax and truly enjoy my wedding day knowing that they had everything under control. Thank you so much Mary, Steve, and Joy! We cannot thank you all enough for all of the hard work you put into making our wedding an exceptionally special day!
The Gardens were an amazing location for our ceremony!!! Any of the locations in the gardens provide a stunning backdrop for the exchange of vows and there is always something blooming no matter what time of year. Events coordinator Mary Rose and her team see to every last detail and are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. It's an incredible value for the price.
