Our wedding is still the talk of the town. My mom who visited from Jamaica was blown away by the beautiful, dreamy scenery. One thing to keep in mind is that the venue is "bare barn" style so that means that you will have to find your own vendors for catering and such (or use one of their preferred vendors). We loved Bull Run Golf Club as our wedding venue and highly recommend it!

m to work with, and truly an asset to the venue! Throughout the entire wedding planning process, she worked with us as a team. She communicated any questions or concerns quickly. She went out of her way to be helpful, usually before we even had to ask. On the day of the wedding, she accommodated the bride, and her wedding party, by coming in early so they could get prepared for their morning ceremony. She was at the event the entire day, instead of hiding away in an office, and lent a hand whenever possible. During the reception a quick and unexpected rain storm caused the entire reception to move indoors. She let us know the storm was coming very quickly, and jumped in to help move it all indoors. Because we had the "Plan B" floor plan layout, we moved all of the reception indoors quickly, and the party continued without hardly a pause. Although, Bull Run is not in our immediate area, we have added them to Sarah K Events recommended venues, just because of Courtney! She was that good, and we look forward to working with her again!

Courtney and the BRGC staff were very professional and accommodating in helping us pull together the various elements of our wedding reception, from tailoring our beverage list and being flexible with pandemic-related plan changes, to providing set-up assistance for the day-of. Courtney's attentiveness and thoughtfulness especially blew us away; she put us at ease from the moment we first checked out BRGC and was a true joy to work with through the whole wedding reception planning process! Her very practical but upbeat approach, thoroughness, good humor, responsiveness, and reliability left us even more stress-free than we could have hoped! Courtney also kept a close and tactful eye on us as the bride and groom during our celebration while giving us plenty of space to enjoy ourselves: we never found ourselves wanting for anything (e.g. sneaking us appetizers between pictures, keeping us hydrated and on schedule, etc.) She even jumped in to help when disaster struck, pitching in to help clean the red wine spilled on my wedding dress --no hesitation! Truly a life saver!! In addition to making sure all the displays and tables were perfectly arranged for our reception and seamlessly communicating with our other vendors, Courtney and the BRGC staff went above and beyond to genuinely take care of us. We can't recommend this hospitable team highly enough!!!

or ceremony with the reception in the same venue. We don't even play golf, but it was just such a wonderful view of nature with the water and small mountain scenery. We first visited the venue on a cold, rainy day in fall and knew it would still look amazing, even on a dreary afternoon. A half a dozen venues in the same price range were in the running, but this one gave me the best feeling. The venue also has an indoor rain contingency in the upper level which is also a lovely space - so I had no worries about that at all. Katie, the coordinator, was above and beyond amazing. I didn't have to worry about anything on the day of. I highly recommend including her services for the wedding day. She was a whirlwind- decorating, managing the vendors, pinning boutonnieres, herding the guests, getting everyone where they were supposed to be at the right time, and countless other things that I didn't even see to help make everything go as smoothly as possible. We had a seated dinner with an open bar. The caterers for the venue (R&R) did an excellent job with the food, many compliments from guests - even the picky ones! I especially loved the apple sweet potatoes and the tiny chicken and waffles. Our contact, Vivian, is very bright and cheerful with great recommendations. The number of choices can be overwhelming. It was often a little hard to get in touch with her via email, but ccing Katie was magical and kept us all on track. For the decoration, I spent months of planning trying to gather and create every decoration and detail to fill the ballroom and make it fit our theme. The day before the wedding, we dropped off bins and boxes of everything I had (quite the jumbled mess if I'm honest) and Katie transformed the space into the wedding of my dreams with minimal direction. I was in tears when I saw it. They were also very flexible with the decorations as I made a request to bring table top fire pits for the cocktail hour on the patio. I truly recommend this venue and Katie.

My husband is from Germany and we had some special requests such as real German beer served in a specific wheat beer glass and they were happy to work with us to make it happen. Not to mention that their preferred caterer has a German menu we were able to choose from. With magical sunsets, amazing staff and a lovely facility- we could not be more happy with our choice to go with Bull Run!

time! We had all the access before the wedding that we needed when we wanted it. The room for the girls to get ready was comfortable, the boys didn't use the space they were offered. We only had about 65 guests and the space was perfectly sized. We had planned for 100 but we both feel like we would have been a bit cramped. We liked being able to move around freely. David was awesome, every time I emailed him he was prompt. Even if it was just to say I've got your question but can't answer it right now. Can't say that about many other vendors. It even rained a bit the morning of the wedding so the guys planning to play golf didn't go and David was able to fit them in on Sunday. The only glitch was my coordinator had a little trouble tracking down or on-site contact at the rehearsal and the day of for a few minor issues. All in all, everything was resolved and went off seamlessly! I barely dealt with the Alcohol & Beverage manager but my coordinator loved him. She found him very helpful. I would do it all over again in the same place!

e a wonderful backdrop for the ceremony and cocktail hour - many of our guests commented on how nice everything looked and how well the venue presented. The staff was amazing. Our Wedding Coordinator, Brittany, went way above and beyond what any reasonable person should have to do. She helped plate foods, she kept our confused selves in line, and she made up for everything the groomsmen and bridemaids weren't able to handle (which was a lot!) She even argued with the Bride's sisters for us (no easy task) after they started telling people the wrong places to sit. Whenever we needed her for something she was there, and the wedding would not have been the same without her. At one point I was desperately Googling how to properly attach a boutineer using my phone when she appeared out of nowhere and started pinning them on everyone in site. She put up with a lot from the guests and bridal party alike. We would definitely recommend Bull Run for a wedding. The planning, the all-inclusive package, and the coordination were well worth it. Our price was 14,000$ but that included food, drinks, cocktail hour, ceremony sight, and day of planner. It was a lot less expensive than other nearby sights. It's a great value.

people. They coordinated our rehearsal AND our wedding day and had 4 different people on staff running the show. When our cake showed up as a complete disaster, they rushed to fix it without us even having to ask! Beyond that, when our shuttle didn't show, they called cabs for all of the guests and had them lined up outside just in case. They are, by far, the best vendor I've worked with and I've been doing event coordination for almost 5 years now. They were accommodating, friendly, helpful and calm when I was in a panic! There's no better place to get married! Not to mention, it's an absolutely beautiful view!

, to the big day itself, the entire staff at Bull Run was extremely easy-going, flexible, and most importantly, really went above and beyond to make sure you got what you wanted. The food was absolutely amazing, definitely the best I've had at a wedding by far, and everyone is still raving about the lambchop lollipops! Catherine made sure all of my DIY decorations were where I wanted (and there were many), and David took us out on the golf cart during cocktail hour to get some great pictures. I would definitely recommend using the club for any event!

Prior to the wedding, we worked closely with the Sales Director to plan the main aspects - number of people, food and bar selection, etc. He was extremely kind and helpful. We were able to meet our chef and taste the food we were considering to help us decide, and it was all delicious! They offered us a day of coordinator for a very reasonable price which we took advantage of. She met with us a couple times before the wedding and helped us prepare a timeline for the ceremony and reception, thinking of things that had not even crossed our minds! She coordinated with all of our vendors leading up to the big day which really helped to take some of the stress off as we were doing last minute tasks. I took care of all the decorations myself, and the banquet manager was nice enough to set up the tables early so I could do most of the decorating the night before (luckily there was not another function). The rehearsal and the day of went very smoothly - we could not have asked for anything more! The coordinator was there every step of the way directing everyone and keeping us calm. She even took pictures of the flowers and cake to show me as I was getting ready in the bridal room and staying out of sight from the groom. Right after the ceremony, the Sales Director even chauffeured us around on a golf cart with our photographer and we have some unbelievable pictures! The reception was so much fun and timed perfectly! We chose to do a buffet and everyone was able to fix their plates within a reasonable amount of time. The banquet staff all did a great job! Overall, if you want outstanding customer service and a beautiful venue, Bull Run Golf Club is it!

From the process of doing an information meeting with us all the way to walking out of the venue at the end of the event, Bull Run was the picture of professionalism and high quality service that is hard to find these days. Leading up to the event I felt like I was being a bit of a "Groom-zilla" with tons of requests and adjustments even up to a few days before the event but Bull Run handled each of them with grace and flexibility, even assuring me that I wasn't nearly the worst they had seen. On wedding day, they started me off with a nice 4-some of golf at their beautiful course. While my bride took a laid back and relaxed approach, I was wired and running around trying to ensure everything was perfect. That is until David, Melinda and Valerie at Bull Run ensured me and proved to me that everything would be ok. For example, we had put together baskets of bathroom essentials to put in the bathrooms for the reception (band aids, hair ties, stain sticks, etc). We found out that the one we had left in the men's room the night before had gone missing. Without missing a beat and without prompting on our end, Bull Run sent someone out to replace the basket and the items in it so that everything would be the way we had planned for our wedding. We were blown away. The venue is beautiful, the staff from top to bottom is beyond amazing and it was a tremendous value compared to other places that we considered. If you need to have a wedding in the Northern Virginia area, you should be booking with Bull Run. No questions asked.

ot disappoint. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and we had such a beautiful fall wedding. Bull Run uses R&R Catering and all I have heard the last few days is that this was the best food people have had at a wedding. There is plenty of space for the cocktail hour and we had the freedom to set up the reception room as we wished. They were so easy to work with, always accessible, and got right back to us if we had any questions or concerns. This is a top notch venue and a great value for the Northern Virginia region.

t wasn't for the fact that we were getting married at the peak of summer, I would've loved an outdoor ceremony. David (the sales manager) was very helpful and answered all my questions and every time I visited he remembered my name (and pronounced it correctly!) Bull Run was very easy to work with and came with a great caterer (R&R Catering). They were also very flexible and even offered to get us the cables we needed to play a slideshow during the cocktail hour. The day of coordinator was also great and did a lot to help set up the reception. Weddings are expensive but the value we got for rental and food wasn't too bad and we didn't fell ripped off. I would definitely recommend Bull Run Golf Club to anyone getting married.

t golf course is perfect for any outdoor wedding. I really liked how attentive the staff was to our needs. They went out of their way to put out coolers of cold water for our wedding guests on our warm weather special day, and were very concerned about the comfort of all our guests. We definitely felt like club did EVERYTHING they could to help us have a successful day. The wedding planner also worked constantly with others at the club to make sure it all went smoothly. Very prompt communication from all wedding event staff at the club at all times. I HIGHLY recommend them!

David, Catherine and Melinda were fantastic to work with and very accommodating. I will always be grateful for the wonderful experience and good memories we'll have of my daughter's special day.
