The best venue and staff I could ask for! Lori is so on top of everything and made sure we weren’t taking on too much either. Everything was organized and convenient. The food was amazing and being able to stay right there and have breakfast the morning after the wedding was perfect. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with them.
The Burke Manor Inn & Pavilion is such a hidden gem! My husband and I got married at the Burke Manor in October and it was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are stunning, as is the manor. I wanted an outdoor garden wedding and the Burke was the perfect location for an outdoor ceremony. Our reception was in the pavilion, which is extremely nice and spacious. There are grounds surrounding the pavilion as well, so our guests could stay inside the tent all night or walk outside and enjoy the evening in the open air. It was exactly what I wanted.
I highly recommend renting the entire venue for your wedding weekend. We stayed at the Burke and filled the B&B with our family and friends, and that truly made it the best weekend ever. We got to enjoy breakfast with a smaller group on Saturday and Sunday morning, which was delicious and so relaxing. I can’t say enough how nice it was to just be on location all weekend and not have to worry about driving anywhere. My husband and I can’t wait to stay at the Burke again in the future to get to the enjoy the bed and breakfast even more.
Another reason we picked the Burke Manor for our wedding was the restaurant’s high ratings. Food is very important to us and we wanted our wedding buffet to be delicious. We got lots of compliments on the food – I recommend beef bourguignon and pulled pork for buffet options! We also had our rehearsal dinner at the Burke and it was absolutely amazing. We sat outside on the veranda to enjoy the fall weather and it was absolutely stunning. The food was AMAZING as well. We got a ton of compliments on the food and the veranda’s ambiance from everyone who attended our rehearsal dinner. And of course the service was wonderful as well.
I am so pleased with how our wedding weekend went, and a lot of that is thanks to Lori! Lori did such a great job throughout the entire planning process helping me think through every detail. She was so friendly and kind and easy to work with. When the forecast called for rain, she had a rain plan ready to go (which we ended up not needing, thankfully, but she was prepared either way!) I had tons of questions and requests throughout the process and she helped with every single thing. I highly recommend the Burke Manor for your wedding!
The Burke Manor Inn was absolutely everything I wanted in a wedding venue & SO much more. I cannot say enough about their professionalism, kindness, & extremely high quality of service. I first met with Lil & Lori in July '19 to plan my April '21 wedding. At the time, it seemed like I was planning WAY ahead, but they were incredibly kind, sitting down & discussing my vision with me as if I were getting married in just a few months. Listening to Lil brainstorm menu ideas was such an extraordinary & mouth-watering experience that I knew I wanted my fiance to be a part of it. 6wks later, Lil made himself available again so that he could discuss the menu with us and plan another course from scratch. Throughout the process, both Lori & Lil made me feel as if my wedding was the only thing on their calendar. I was floored at how willing they were to integrate my more "outside-the-box" wedding ideas--even when I approached them from a more "we don't HAVE to do this" place, Lori would bend over backwards to figure out how to make it happen. I'm the kind of person who always feels like I'm a bother, but Lori was so sweet, even thanking me for my planning emails. It really helped me enjoy the wedding process & not feel guilty about taking up her time with my questions. Our wedding weekend exceeded all my expectations. We rented the entire Inn for the guests, & everyone was amazed at the beauty & comfort of their rooms & the courtesy of the staff. The wedding had originally been planned to be outdoors, using pretty much all of the Inn grounds, but as the day drew closer, it became clear that the weather wasn't going to allow that. Lori and the Burke Manor Inn staff swooped in to rearrange things, with Lori getting in touch to talk about alternatives ahead of time & offering me a *selection* of indoor options for the ceremony/reception when we did our walk through on the day before. Ultimately, we decided to use the pavilion tent which, despite being large enough to accommodate *hundreds*, ended up being the perfect size to house all the various "zones" for our 20-guest wedding (pre-ceremony champagne social, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception dinner). The wait staff were incredibly professional and worked so hard to make sure my husband and I didn't miss out on anything, despite the hectic nature of the wedding. Immediately following the ceremony, while our guests were enjoying the cocktail hour, we had to take pictures. Before the first shot was even set up, a member of the wait staff came to ask me if I'd like her to bring me a plate with a selection of passed appetizers & some sangria from our make-your-own sangria bar. During the photos, the wait staff checked in a few times to make sure no one needed any refills. Halfway through the cocktail hour, we were asked whether it was still ok to begin dinner at the planned time. Our photographer had determined that we would have a 7min break in the rain for outdoor photos &, despite the fact that our first dinner course needed to be served at a specific time, when we asked to push dinner back by 10min so that we could take photos outside, Burke Manor staff were more than happy to accommodate us. Throughout the (lengthy) planning process & the wedding weekend itself, Lil, Lori, and the entire Inn staff went lightyears above & beyond to ensure that my wedding was an incredibly amazing experience for my husband & I, as well as our guests. We are already excited to spend our anniversaries there! :-)
As I am from Germany my now husband and me went (and still are going) through all immigration requirements. That included we had to marry within 90 days after my arrival. So we didn’t have much time to plan a complete wedding.
We were so very lucky to find a wonderful location in Gibsonville - The Burke Manor Inn – that was still available for that date. Lori Lacassagne from Burke Manor and her staff did an absolute amazing job. She helped us not only to stay calm as she knows about weddings and what is needed when but gave us a list with vendors and we found our DJ's there. The dinner was delicious; the DJ great, the atmosphere in the Pavilion amazing and everything went perfectly. Thanks to the Burke Manor Inn we truly had a fairytale wedding!
No complaints here! The day went off without any issues thanks to the staff at Burke Manor Inn. Anna, Lori and the head chef Lil made sure everything was perfection. Not only did I enjoy myself, my guests that stayed at the Manor all spoke highly of the staff. The accommodations were very lavish and comfortable-- We had everything we needed. Lori was very easy to work with when it came to coordinating /orchestrating ideas and events and gave helpful advice. The staff was also helpful when we almost had to use a rain plan for the event. Everyone was all smiles no matter what the situation was going to be. The food was excellent: a chicken picatta PERFECTION! I can't say I had any complaints about anything and if there was a problem, I never heard of it because the staff took care of it all! I found this place very affordable for my wedding budget and it suited my needs for my party size and theme. I would get married here again if I could, but I will definitely be celebrating my anniversary here when that time comes around!
I cannot say enough about what an amazing job Emily and the rest of staff did for my wedding. Since my husband and I were getting married in June, we knew that rain would be a possibility. We had most of our guests outside and ready to go when the first few drops of rain started. They got everyone moved inside the tent, rearranged the chairs and decorations, and was ready for the ceremony in less than 10 minutes. I couldn't of asked for a prettier setup. The food was excellent and everyone was so sweet. Emily was very attentive throughout this whole planning process. She had a timeline made for us, and got with the other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a stress free wedding!!!!
The Burke Manor Inn is such a great place to get married! It is so beautiful no matter what time of year. No matter how big your party is, your accommodations are awesome! We got married in the garden and it was great! The reception was held in the Pavilion (tent) and it looked great too! The staff are great, especially Emily! They are so helpful and are willing to work with you, even if it is not time for your planning sessions yet. Emails were always answered in a timely manner! The food from St. Jacques restaurant was amazing as well! I would recommend Burke Manor Inn to anyone!
Burke Manor was amazing in every aspect of our wedding! They were so easy to work with... Lori and Emily were fantastic! The day progressed so smooth and they made the planning process so much easier. I had my bridals taken here and a bridal luncheon Friday afternoon before the wedding. We had a garden wedding and the reception in the pavilion and everything was beautiful! The food was good and we used their preferred vendor list for other needs and everyone was fantastic. I I could not have asked for a better wedding!
My family, guests and I were all blown away by how beautiful and organized the Burke was with handling our wedding. There is a woman there named Emily who technically was our wedding planner and she made sure things went smoothly. My family and I stayed in the Inn before the wedding and everything was better than expected. The perfect mix of French and Southern charm.
We used the Burke Manor as our reception site. The food was great and the staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. Only downside was limited options for food if you're a picky eater (like me...). The food was delicious though and our guests really enjoyed the food. I do believe, for the amount of money we spent- we shouldnt have to spend more to get a/c in the pavilion ... we ended up cutting the reception short because it was so hot I felt like I was going to pass out.
The day was beautiful and we only knew the major things that went wrong, but some of the staff were rude to our guests. They are very peculiar about the Inn(that seemed to be there priority) and we felt like the wedding should have been top priority that day. My day was still perfect and all the guests were pleased but I dont recommend using for the money you pay. We were defintely mislead on a lot of things!
Overall, they were great. At the actual wedding they get a ten. The food was also awesome. The staff was very attentive. The three negative comments come from before the wedding. At our rehearsal, the main directorhad to go out of town and therefore it lacked good direction. Our pastor had to really lead it; not what we wanted. Also, the day of we were suppose to have an hour and a half for photos. The music started at 6:30. So, this to me says we can come at 5 to begin photos; since with guest arriving, we could not take pictures then. However, they would not let us come until 530, an hour and a half before the ceremony started, giving us an hour for photos. However, our photographers were great and found somewhere else to take some of the pictures. Lastly, new owners have taken over; they have raised the prices. For the area, they are pretty pricey. However, we signed the contract before they took over, so we got the previous owner's price.
