Working in the wedding industry myself, I've had plenty of experience working with different planners over the years. So when it came time for my own wedding, I instantly knew we had to reach out to Burst Events. Leading up to the big day, Alexis really alleviated all of our stress with thoughtful To-Do checklist items, regular email updates, helping source vendors, and so much more. All of our vendors exceeded our expectations and the day couldn't have been more perfect. I truly cannot say enough amazing things about our planning experience with Burst. From the first interview we had with Alexis, my husband and I felt so elated to have finally found a planner who made us feel like they could help us make our dream wedding happen without spending hundreds of thousands of dollars. We worked with Beverly to plan our wedding and I’m still not sure how we got so lucky to have the most phenomenal, smartest and sweetest wedding planner ever. Beverly was with us every step of the way helping us to hire the best vendor team, vetting all of our random ideas, and being our therapist whenever things felt overwhelming. Throughout the planning process I looked forward to chatting with Beverly every week, going through our checklist and picking her brain on everything & anything related to our wedding. She always made my husband and I feel like we were a top priority, and never a bother even when we would have to call after hours or in the middle of a busy day. Beverly made the wedding process into something so fun, and stress free for us. We also worked with Burst/Beverly on the florals for our wedding which was an incredibly fun process for me. I loved talking to Beverly about flowers given the breadth of her knowledge and she gave the best advice on swaps for things I wanted but might not have lasted the whole night. Our guests still talk about our flowers to this day and how gorgeous they were, I feel like they were a true showstopper and everything I dreamed up in my head. The week of the wedding knowing Beverly was on top of literally any potential issue we might encounter, my husband and I were able to take a step back, relax, and just focus on spending time with friends & family. The day of the wedding went so smoothly when I look back I can’t think of anything that I would have changed. We were able to spend time with our guests without worrying about making sure our décor was set up, if we were still on schedule, or if our vendors got their tips, Beverly and her helped handled everything. My husband and I both wholeheartedly agree working with Burst was by far the best money we spent on our wedding and was the best decision. Looking back I can’t even fathom planning our big day without Beverly by our side, so if you are thinking about working with Burst just do it and I promise you won’t regret it!
Burst is incredible. Overall, I cannot recommend Burst enough. Anyone that wants a wedding planner should hire Burst. Anyone that doesn’t think they need a planner is wrong and should still hire Burst.
Our planner, Lizzie, is an incredible planner and a wonderful person. I emailed her multiple times panicking, and she was always quick to respond with a solution. She took so much stress away from the final stretch of the planning process that I was able to be calm and relaxed heading into wedding week. We had multiple other vendors comment on how well prepared we were, especially with our timeline, and that was completely thanks to Lizzie. Lizzie ran our rehearsal, and I had multiple people from my family and wedding party comment on how nice, professional, and organized she was. Day of, Lizzie helped with my DIY decor and did a better job than I ever could have asked for. She also made sure that the ceremony and reception ran perfectly smoothly and on schedule. She’s a literal gem of a person, and I’m so grateful to her.
We also had Cendra with us the morning of the wedding, and she was so helpful! She steamed all the bridesmaid dresses and my veil the morning of the wedding, helped us orchestrate the first look, and kept us on schedule with our different photo locations. It was such a relief to have Cendra keeping track of the time so I didn’t have to worry! We also had Lucy at the venue with Lizzie helping with everything day off, which was great!
Finally, Alexis, the owner of the company, is amazing. She runs her company responsibly and ethically. There was a moment towards the beginning of our wedding planning process where we had significant issues with our (original) venue. Alexis helped us through that situation, even though she was under no obligation to do so, and I will forever be grateful for the way she helped us.
Cannot say enough good things about working with Alexis and the Burst team. We went THROUGH IT at the beginning of our wedding planning journey when we found out our previous venue was closing and received zero communication from their end. Alexis was the one that got on the phone with us and would keep us informed of any updates she received from the shady venue owners, something we are still so thankful for!
Their client portal, planning checklist, and weekly updates kept us on track and made the wedding planning process seem less daunting. Alexis was incredibly responsive, promptly addressing any questions or concerns that arose throughout the planning process and her expertise and experience were evident in handling any unexpected situations, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and seamlessly.

My wedding was not a whirlwind, a day that went by in a flash that I will only have passing memories of beyond the photos. AND THANK GOODNESS! I had the opportunity to relish the whole weekend of my wedding with the people I love most because of Burst's careful planning process. There were no last minute tasks the day before, no emergency fires to put out. I got to enjoy being feted and loved. We worked with Alexis and she was responsive, set clear expectations, and was proactive. Really, what else can you want? The materials Burst provided included weekly check-ins, guest trackers, and more. These were all invaluable to having a wonderful wedding. Highly recommend!
Alexis and the team at Burst were lifesavers for our wedding! When we got involved in a really bad situation with an original venue, they helped us navigate our way out of it and provided so much comfort and reassurance. Then they made the final planning stages a breeze - we immediately knew we were in good hands! Everything ran so smoothly the day of our wedding, better than we could have imagined, and so much of that was due to the behind the scenes efforts from Burst. I'd absolutely recommend them to others looking for affordable wedding planners!
Alexis and Christina were truly a godsend! Our venue cancelled on us 6 WEEKS before our wedding and Burst stepped in to help us find a new venue, work with our vendors, stay organized, and most importantly, put our minds at ease. I think I would have crumbled from pure stress, but their help, knowledge, and kindness was truly everything we needed. I 100% recommend working with Burst.
Alexis and her team exceeded all our expectations. Our wedding was planned for July 2021 and the planning process felt very overwhelming as we navigated the Covid restrictions for the City of Chicago. However, Alexis was with us every step of the way and it really put us at ease. We also ran into communication challenges with the team at our venue (The Zephyr) as well as the beverage vendor (Libations). Alexis and her team stepped in to handle all communication with both vendors which helped to reassure us we would have the wedding of our dreams. We were married in May 2022, and thanks to Burst, especially Christina, everything went perfectly! From the beginning, they were respectful and helpful when it came to budgeting conversations - Alexis was extremely willing to work with us on tailoring their services to our exact needs and budget.
Planning-wise, they have a great system that spreads the planning activities out and let us be excited to plan!

Burst Event Company was amazing to work with! Beverly was our wedding planner and she made our wedding planning process stress-free. She was so sweet, responsive, extremely helpful, and really listens to what you want your wedding day to look like. I was a very indecisive about a lot of things and she helped me figure out many aspects by listening to me and providing examples. She recommended all our vendors (photographer, DJ, florist, photo booth) and every single one was so nice, responsive, and amazing at their job. Burst has different plans to choose from in order to meet your budget needs. We are from Arizona and got married in Chicago and Burst/Beverly went to multiple different venues with my parents, went to the final walk- thru alone, and made sure we felt included throughout every wedding planning process. On my wedding day, someone spilled a mimosa on my dress and Burst took the time to completely steam it out of my dress, along with steam every single bridesmaid dress. We also used Burst for our floral and it turned out AMAZING. They made our reception room look jaw dropping. We would not have been able to do it without Burst and I couldn't recommend them more!
I would highly recommend working with BURST for your event planning needs for many reasons, but here are my top 3:
1. They met our budget & planning needs:
When we first inquired with planners we quickly believed that a planner was out of the question. With our mid-range budget of $40,000.00 most planners were going to take up 20% of our budget. When we finally found BURST I was elated to find a planning team that offered options to help guide us while we were organizing our wedding, keep us accountable to a timeline and help fill in the blanks and that wouldn't crush our budget.
2. The culture: Alexis and BURST's focus on inclusion within the team and for their clients and vendors was something that was very important for us. I appreciate her drive to be honest about the world of wedding planning when it comes to costs and to fight for fairness from vendors. These days knowing you are working with a company that has principles and believes you have value as a human even after you are a client is super important.
3. They did the work: Christina was our planner and she was so incredibly helpful. Her monthly calls to help review was extremely important. Not only did this help keep us accountable but also she was able to help us fill in the blanks when we had questions. Going into the month of planning she did a great job coordinating all of our vendors together. We also had a weather change that really forced us to change our entire day of timeline and they did an amazing job to help us coordinate vendors and rearrange the day. Christina was also a fantastic therapist while we worked out way through figuring out rearranging the entire days timeline. The day of the team was there for us and helped us with everything we needed. It was just amazing to be able to tell people to ask the team when they had questions and to not have to organize or problem solve on our wedding day.
Boy did we get lucky. After our venue went out of business less than three months before the wedding we were extremally concerned about what turned out to be a fabulous event. We stuck with Burst and they did not disappoint. Alexis was in contact with us on a regular basis. She kept us on track and guided us up to and through the wedding day. She managed the details so we could enjoy the day. We used them for the floral as well and they exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the Burst team for making this a most special day!
We used Burst and worked with Christina for our wedding recently. The communication was phenomenal and without Christina I’m not sure what we would’ve done. She took a lot of stress off our plates and was on top of absolutely every detail. Alexis was also super helpful when we worked with her as well, I’d highly recommend it them to anyone I know getting married.
We loved working with Liz! We planned our own wedding, but hired Burst for wedding management. It was so helpful to have her to make sure that the little details were taken care of, and that the day of went smoothly. We felt kind of drained from wedding planning in the last couple months, but luckily that's when Liz swooped in. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and we love that she takes her work seriously, but doesn't take herself too seriously. Thank you Liz for all your hard work and being okay with the sometimes 4+ emails I'd send you in a day!
I can't speak highly enough about Burst Event Co. ! They were with us every step of the way throughout our wedding planning journey. They quite literally saved our wedding when our original venue closed and helped us to replan our dream wedding in just 2 months. The sheer amount of to-do's that come with planning a wedding is humbling. I can't imagine having done it without them.
Liz and Alexis are incredible! Alexis is organized, communicative, and is completely transparent with all things wedding related! Liz sent us thoughtful weekly updates beginning 4 months before our wedding date which kept us on track and helped to communicate with all our vendors. On the day of the wedding, she kept us completely calm and on track with our timeline. She was like having a friend with me along the way. Without exaggeration, we owe the success of our entire wedding replanning process to them. Thank you to everyone at Burst who helped make our day so perfect! I could go on! We love them all!

The best money we spent on our wedding was hiring Burst Events to help plan and coordinate!
We worked with Christina who was awesome form the get-go. When we first met Christina the only thing we knew about our wedding was the venue and that we wanted it to be a very laid back and non-formal. Christina was instrumental in turning that half idea into a fully fledged vision and executed it perfectly. To make matters more complicated, we were trying to plan a wedding in Chicago while living out of state. Christina was right there with us every step of the way and honestly made our lives so easy we feel like we should have paid more for their service :-)
On the day of the wedding we had a few surprises and had to make some last minute adjustments. Christina and her team handled it with such calm and poise, we almost forgot to be stressed.
Our wedding was perfect and its all credit to Christina and the Burst team.
If you're looking for day of coordination in Chicago, then look no further! I seriously don't even know where to begin with how amazing this staff is! We had to overcome a major obstacle no couple should have to face just weeks before our wedding with our venue closing, but the BURST team helped us with the shift to new venue and caterer without a hitch! Liz's weekly updates keeping us on track were SO helpful and she was always available to jump on a quick call when needed. I will forever be appreciative for the BURST team and helping making our wedding day absolutely perfect!
Burst Event Co was a dream to work with. We started working with Burst over a year before our wedding. I woke up one morning and thought "I don't even know what I don't know when it comes to planning a wedding." I spent the rest of my weekend researching wedding planners and actually talked to one of my wedding planner friends from Virginia. She used her contacts and found some LGBTQ+ friendly recommendations, and Burst was at the top of the list. Burst was just starting to consider expanding into Michigan at the time so we decided to reach out. We had several meetings with Alexis and she was able to lay out what the different services they offer are and what would make the most sense for what we needed.
At that point, we were assigned Christina as our planner and we couldn't be happier. We met with Christina regularly and she helped focus our ideas (which were kind of all over the place) and made them more intentional. Throughout the process we never felt like clients, but more like we were collaborating with a friend. Christina and Alexis even sent flowers when Chris' grandfather passed away.
We felt supported and cared for throughout the wedding planning process. Christina stayed in touch with all of the vendors and helped coordinate timelines and made sure everyone was on the same page. There was a lot of work that was done that Chris and I were not even aware of, and we did not have to even think about because Christina had everything figured out.
The day of the wedding, Christina and her assistant Amy were there to WORK! We had everything so well planned out with Christina's help before the wedding, that the day of there was nothing for us to do. Christina took care of getting the venue set up while Amy was available to help us get ready.
We are so happy with how our wedding day turned out and we owe a lot of that to Chrstina and all the hard work she put into our day! We truly hope to stay in touch with Christina and the rest of the team at Burst. They are excellent planners and wonderful people!
We literally would not have had a wedding if it wasn't for Alexis and her team. We were one of the Zephyr/Stockhouse couples, and the only good thing from that original contract and "relationship" was being connected with Burst.
Alexis took us on herself after everything went down with The Zephyr, and emphasized from the beginning that we were going to look ahead and make sure we had an amazing wedding. Which we did thanks to her help and support. BURST is so organized and has everything you might need, or not even realize you need, to plan your day. My now husband, who already had a spreadsheet going, was thrilled to see just how detailed BURST's planning documents got. So not only will you get extremely thorough and detailed spreadsheets and documents to help you plan, but you're going to get the most positive, supportive team behind you making sure everything goes exactly as planned. Alexis was flexible with our schedule and took so many calls and texts last minute, all while remaining upbeat and cheerful, despite the situation. We cannot say enough good things about Alexis and her company and team, I would hire them to coordinate my life if I could.
Tom and I were recently married on 6/10/22 and it was the BEST day of our lives! The main reason for this is because of Burst and our fabulous planner Christina. I can’t even begin to express our immense gratitude for everything Christina did for us! If we could give Burst and Christina a rating out of 10…. It would be 50/10. Our journey started with Burst when Alexis did our consultation. She was incredible! She was warm, outgoing and bubbly! She made us feel like we were the only clients in the world. She tailored three specific wedding planning options for us to choose from. Instead of providing us a general option to pick from, she listened to where we were in the wedding planning process and where our biggest needs were. Based on this she created the perfect plan! Next came our first meeting with Christina… where to begin telling you how amazing she is! She is knowledgeable, calm, collected and went above and beyond! She was so personable and warm. We had one vendor that we had some tension with. She took over communication and made sure everything went smoothly. We had a hiccup with our invites. A single number with the return address when our invites were printed. Needless to say… we discovered this when we weren’t receiving any RSVPs. Our stomachs sank, it was the most awful feeling! Christina came in, put us at ease and then proceeded to call every guest on our invitation list to inform them what had happened! She provided the correct address and even received multiple RSVPs during the calls. What could have been a disaster was completely diverted, all because of Christina. She was in contact with all of our vendors throughout the process. She had a detailed timeline and the vendors raved about how organized and thorough she was! Day of, my husband accidentally stepped on my wedding dress and broke my bustle! Christina came in with the biggest safety pins I had ever seen and bustled up my dress with 7 of them haha. We had to mention the two interns, Liz and Anna! Liz came in to make sure we were on time and steamed all the girls dresses. Having Christina and the interns there allowed Tom and I to enjoy the day without a care in the world! It was the best day of our lives because of Christina and her team. Christina and Burst, thank you so much! If you’re on the fence for a wedding planner, go to Burst NOW and book them! PS Christina we miss you <3
I literally cannot even say enough good things about Alexis.
Our venue (that shall remain nameless because their atrocities shouldn't be aligned with Burst), contracted Burst to work with many of their couples, and that was the one and only thing they did right. Now that our venue has canceled our wedding and refused to refund any deposits, we do not have a contract with Burst. In spite of that, Alexis has been non-stop communicating with us, giving us suggestions for new venues, advising us how to proceed with insurance to get our money back, and more.
We hadn't originally been planning to have a wedding coordinator, but I recommend Burst based on their guest list planning spreadsheet alone! Not even to mention Alexis and the emotional support she has provided.
This review is written pre-wedding, but once we have our (probably flawless thanks to Burst) wedding, I will write a follow up.
Book Burst Events for your wedding!!! Without Burst, our wedding would not have been the absolutely perfect day that it was. Christina was absolutely amazing to work with and was very communicative from the start. We had most of our vendors when we contracted with Burst so we did month of coordination + design help as we weren't sure what we really wanted as far as decor and design. However, we feel that we received far more than just month of coordination + design help! Christina was with us every step of the way to help answer questions, attend meetings with vendors, and keep us on track with all of the great documents and portal that Burst has. Then after we got all of the vendors booked, Christina helped us think through all of the small details. When you're planning a wedding, it can feel very overwhelming about how many decisions you have to make, but Christina made it as easy as possible by helping us get answers from vendors to make the best decisions and also providing us with ideas of what she's seen at other weddings. Also, the documents that Burst provides made us think about so many different scenarios that we wouldn't have thought of on our own. We're so glad that they did think through all of these because then the day went by without a hitch and it was absolutely everything we dreamed of and far more! Christina was absolutely essential in the month of planning as she took care of so many things for us and did a wonderful job of communicating with our vendors, family, and wedding party.
Then on the day of the wedding, Christina and team were amazing and kept the day completely on track! Alexis helped my bridal party in the morning and even got a DoorDash refund for us + a new sandwich delivered to us when they brought one of my bridesmaids a sandwich that had the wrong ingredients in it and she couldn't eat it because of an allergy. Then on the trolley we took around the city for pictures, Alexis was very helpful in keeping everyone together and making sure the flowers stayed fresh between pictures. Meanwhile, Christina and her assistant did an amazing job of ensuring all the vendor set up was going well at our venue. All in all, it was an absolutely perfect day and it wouldn't have been so without Christina, Alexis, and team! Thank you so much, Burst Events!!
We just had our wedding in late May and BURST (and specifically Liz) was the single biggest component that made it happen.
Working with Liz felt like working with a close friend who was personally invested in giving us our best wedding possible.
Without too many details, we had some issues getting responsiveness from our vendors. Liz stepped in and took charge. Ultimately everything that we were envisioning came to fruition and BURST stepped in to fill any logistical gap that we encountered. BURST is incredibly organized and will proactively schedule checkpoints throughout your entire planning process. They will provide you with resources, materials, perspective, and support for any questions that you may encounter during your planning. For example, they provided us with an exhaustive checklist with timelines that covered everything from our engagement all the way to the end of our wedding day. No detail was ever too small and our wedding was better because of their involvement.
Liz was also available at the drop of a hat for any urgent questions that we had. For example, our makeup artist cancelled 3 weeks prior to our wedding. Our first call was to Liz. She worked extra hours to ensure that we knew our contractual options and reached out to her vast network of other vendors to ensure that we had a new artist within 24 hours of our notice.
Aside from all pre-event planning, Liz and her team also made our day-of experience flawless. We had a few last minute changes due to weather and vendor surprises, but we were never stressed because Liz took them in stride and handled them on our behalf.
Ultimately our wedding was a huge benefactor of Liz's and BURST's involvement and I would recommend them to anyone on the fence about wedding coordination.
My wife and I would literally not be married without Burst. We are horrible planners and needed a lot of hand-holding, but Beverly and the team came through with flying colors and made the process as painless as possible. It was so helpful to have a professional to advocate for us with vendors and explain what we really did or didn’t need (and a bonus if you’re allergic to confrontation: she’ll break up with vendors that aren’t a good fit for you so you don’t have to). We loved being with a group that is social justice oriented and ensured that anyone we worked with was pre-screened to not be, you know, jerks. We also used the company for our floral and I cannot tell you how many compliments we got on the decor. As an aside, Beverly pulled an absolute rabbit out of her hat on the day of; my father needed a wheelchair at the last minute and she magicked a rental into existence within a couple hours. I can only imagine that it was like pulling teeth to get a cogent vision out of us, but somehow we ended up with a gorgeous setting, great food, and a kickass party that was exactly what we wanted. 10/10 would recommend.
My husband and I had our venue cancel on us a month before our wedding. We obviously panicked. Luckily we had Burst, specifically Alexis on our side! She advocated for us, supported us, and turned things around so quickly. The next day she already had a list of 15 venues that had our date available and she began setting up tours with the ones we liked. She then took us to however many we wanted. We literally don’t know what we would’ve done without the Burst team. Not to mention they are also just a wonderful and fun team. Alexis was extremely communicative and insanely organized throughout the whole process. What should’ve been a stressful time Burst still made fun! Would recommend them to absolutely everyone!!
I could not recommend Beverly and her team more. They went above and beyond for me, were flexible with meeting times, supplied throughout documents & checklists to help with every planning aspect you can think of, looked over all my contracts before signing to make sure they made sense and then made sure each contract was followed through on my big day. Part of my post wedding blues has been not working with them anymore! My husband and I both said our number one takeaway from the wedding was how worthy the investment of Burst was.
Please do not book Burst Events. Your emails will go ignored and you will not feel valued as a client. They will also not refund you anything, even if they have zero deliverables to show.
We booked their partial planning package because we had a venue and photographer, but wanted some guidance on the rest of the planning process. Our contract said they would “Source, tour, interview, negotiate, & contract florist/decorator, baker, stationer/calligrapher, transportation provider, hair and make up artist, and room blocks,” as well as attend vendor meetings with or on our behalf. In our experience, we had very little help in securing these vendors. We had to follow up with our planner multiple times, and more often than not, we ended up researching and booking vendors ourselves because we never heard any updates.
We cancelled our contract after four months and after spending $3800 with very little to show for it. We canceled our contract over email, and Alexis refused to hop on a call to discuss unless we agreed to switch planners.
I cannot overstate enough how much Alexis and the Burst Event team helped me and my husband throughout the wedding planning journey. We first began working with her in May/June 2019 when we were first engaged, planning for a September 2020 wedding. And then...the pandemic happened and we needed to postpone our wedding 1 year until September 2021. Alexis did an INCREDIBLE job of holding our hands through an uncertain time for the world, much less the Chicago wedding ecosystem. She truly went above and beyond anything we could have ever expected out of a wedding planner, from coordinating with all the vendors to find a new date that worked for us, keeping track of the ever-changing COVID restrictions in the city of Chicago, tracking our guests' vaccination status, dealing with our parents (lol...) and of course, all of the standard wedding planning tasks, with style, grace, and poise. Planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic is no easy feat, I don’t think my husband and I would’ve been able to pull off our big day without BURST Event Co. We mainly worked with Alexis, but the entire team is wonderful!
As a project manager by trade, I’m pretty organized, but there is no way I could have replicated the BURST wedding planning and execution process. They have so much experience working with the wedding industry and were always there for any help or advice that was needed – everything from vendor recommendations to gratuity guidance is included in their customized planning materials.
From the beginning, they asked us what our top priorities were and helped us bring that vision to life. There was never a question that felt like it was a bother to Alexis- from how many Italian beefs to order for the late-night snack to how to ensure our flowers wouldn’t wilt in December. BURST always advocated for us when we felt uneasy. I can truly say Alexis is not just a wedding planner, she becomes your friend through this often stressful process.

Alexis and the Burst team were literal dreams to work with! We met with Alexis early on in our wedding planning process when we knew we wanted and needed help in making our dream wedding a reality. !We loved that Alexis was clear with us on her process and what different options would work best for us. We also loved that the Burst team were focusing on supporting and building their LGBTQI+ and interracial community. As an interracial couple, we felt heard, seen, and supported. During the consultation, Alexis made us feel at ease. especially because we really had no clue where to start!
We signed with Burst as soon as we could after meeting Alexis :) We worked with Alexis monthly leading up to our wedding and always looked forward to our monthly check-ins. Alexis kept us on track, provided a wealth of industry knowledge and recommendations, and loved that she wasn't afraid to let us know what seemed to be out our budget - we so appreciated that we had someone on our side to help navigate through it all (and there was ALOT that we didn't even think about until Alexis told us!)
About 3 months out from our wedding, we were paired with Christina and after first meeting her, we knew we had hit the jackpot for our day-off coordinator :) Christina is so patient, kind, professional, and at many points talked us off the metaphorical edge when we had so many last minute changes come our way. Again, it was amazing to know we had someone in our corner to help during those crucial days leading up to our wedding!
Our wedding day moved so smoothly and my biggest concern before working with Burst and Christin was knowing we had support in everything being prepared while I was getting ready. I had NOTHING to worry about on my wedding day and Christina, Liz, and the team were AMAZING. They helped execute our vision and did so with smiles on their faces. We were able to enjoy our special day fully and know that Christina, Liz, and the Burst team played a HUGE part in that. We consider them all dear friends after this process and while we are sad we no longer have a wedding to plan with them, we know that they will make SO many more couples' dream weddings come true!

We absolutely LOVED working with Beverly for our wedding— we booked Burst for our day-of (really 3 months-prior) coordinator, and cannot say enough good things. Planning a wedding in Chicago while living in Georgia isn’t simple, and is even more complicated when a pandemic is involved, and Beverly helped keep us on track with last minute decision-making, put out fires before we even smelled smoke (metaphorically), and helped set up our venue to absolute perfection. If you’re on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator, DO IT. Your sanity is worth the extra cost in order to enjoy your day to its fullest. Beverly is absolutely hilarious, has such attention to detail, and was such a pivotal person in bringing out twice postponed wedding day to fruition, and it was an absolutely perfect day. I could honestly go on all day— I cannot recommend them enough!

Best decision I could have made to work with Burst Event Co. I am so grateful for everything that the team did to make our wedding celebrations so successful! We had to postpone our original wedding date from 2020 to 2021. We had planned everything for the original date, but after some thought we wanted some extra help for day of events. My fiance and I spoke with Alexis last week and she is truly incredible. She took over an hour getting to know us as well as provided us with valuable advice in the planning process even though we weren't her clients yet. While we spoke for over an hour, it felt like 5 minutes since she was so personable and helpful! At the end of the conversation, we were ready to hire their team as our partial wedding planner but being the person I am, I had given her the wrong date in our emails and they were unfortunately booked that day!
While we can't use Lillian Rose Events to be our wedding planner (and obviously need one because of my date mix-ups), I would highly recommend speaking with them at the very least - I think you'll be sold after that!
I knew I wanted a coordinator as soon as I got engaged. I’m someone who has a lot on my plate in general and wanted to make sure i didn’t miss any details. Alexis’ rates were more than fair. She always answered the phone when I called in a panic. Our meetings were great and I loved working with her. She became like a friend.
Day of she was great. If I could have had her there longer I would have! Having someone take care of the minor details so I could enjoy my day was priceless. She made adjustments to the timeline and room and made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be.

My husband and I decided 10/01/20 to get married and our wedding date was 10/24/2020. Yes, you read that right. We had 23 DAYS to plan one of the biggest days of our lives.
I chose Lillian Rose Events through The Knot app. I liked their pictures/reviews. The fact that they accepted to do the event knowing the time constraints shows they have confidence and know exactly what was needed to get done. Our coordinator was Imre Trevino
My partner and I had VERY LITTLE experience and knowledge about weddings. I knew the colors we were going to use for the wedding, but we hadn’t decided on ANYTHING else. Then reality set in - we needed a coordinator.
We were on such a tight budget. We did not realize how much everything would cost. But I KNEW that a coordinator was going to be the most important investments into our wedding day. And looking back, it was the best decision we made. Our wedding would have been impossible without our coordinator team. Most coordinators would charge more, but our price was affordable and able to fit our tiny budget.
Because the wedding was so close, we had bi-weekly virtual check ins and full e-mail communication in between. Imre was extremely flexible with times and willing to work with my husband’s crazy work schedule (which meant a lot of late night virtual chats).
The quality I love the most about Imre was that he gave us all the power to decide exactly how we want our special event to go, BUT he did not hesitate to give sound advice and mention any concerns about anything. This was great because with his suggestions and concerns, we were able to work out all the kinks and truly have a solid plan which helped the day flow perfectly.
For example, planning transportation seemed less important to me before the wedding - but I will tell you, knowing which car was going to be used and who was going to ride with who made things SO MUCH EASIER!
Every time we talked or met up with Imre, he always had a pen and handbook ready to take notes. His energy and personality helped us really work well together.
The day of the wedding, Alexis was my wonderful attendant and Imre/Christina were at the banquet hall putting everything exactly how I wanted it. I had anywhere from 20-25 people in my house, and Alexis was helping EVERYONE! She steamed dresses/suits, she even helped do my daughter’s hair! Alexis helped curve most of my anxiety - as you can imagine trying to get 7 kids ready was a hassle!
The wedding ceremony and reception took place in 1 banquet hall in the same area. My biggest concern was going to be the flip/transition from ceremony to reception. Imre and I communicated effectively and I knew I had to trust him to handle such a big task while the bridal party and family were off taking pictures. And let me tell you, IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL! Exactly as I had imagined and I was so relieved!!
During the reception, Imre and Christina were personally checking in with me and my husband the entire night! They were very attentive and polite. Even asking us if we wanted water and more food (my husband and I didn’t eat or drink anything before the wedding because of how busy we both were)
My heart is so full because my wedding turned out to be such a success. Nothing in life goes perfectly, but everything went as smoothly as possible and it was one of the best days of our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Do yourselves a favor, and hire Lillian Rose Events! I remember being newly engaged- like 7 days engaged- and already being in tears and being so anxious about the whole process. Being in the chicagoland area you go onto the Knot, type in a search area, and up comes thousands of options! So you start with venue, you find one you like only to find they are booked. And you keep going down the line and more and more are booked. So you think about looking at something else, but you have to have a date, and you don’t know budget, and you don’t know anything else and you want to scream! I was at that point, and I did a search for wedding planners and enter Alexis and her team. My then fiance and I had a phone call with her and after that one hour call I was already at ease. It was a no brainer to do the full service option and it was an added bonus that she takes a percentage of your payment and designates it towards a charity of your choosing. The way she put my mind at ease about yes our budget is doable, and the timeline was doable (about a year) and we could get going right away. Alexis was always available for calls, appointments, and random freak out emails/texts from me. She came to almost every appointment with vendors (she didn’t come to some because we said we got this on a couple). It was fantastic to have her at appointments because I didn’t know what I didn’t know. She had great follow up questions because she has been doing this and it’s her job! Questions I never would have thought to ask. She helped us make informed decisions and helped us to build the team that made our day come true! She especially hooked us up with a fantastic photographer and florist that we never would have found otherwise. It was great to have people she knew, had worked with, and had rapport with so the big day went smoothly. Alexis helped us to stay on budget, find budget options for us, and helped make our vision cohesive and beautiful. I never would have thought some of the things that were at our wedding could have been there on our budget, and it was perfect! The day of she took care of EVERYTHING! I got on site, of our DIY heavy wedding, and things were in full swing. She informed me of a slight change- that she had kept secret for two weeks because she knew I would stress out- and she took care of it! She learns her bride and groom pairs so well in a short amount of time. She knows what our dreams are, what we want for the day, how we react to things, and where our stress level was. So the fact that she just took care of all that, meant everything. I only had to answer 2 questions that day. I’ve been in weddings where the bride is being asked questions every 2 minutes and I can’t even imagine that being my day! The intricate timeline she put together was amazing, it’s the little things that you as a bride and groom might not think about that was so priceless- this is her job to know how long things take, where to plan more time in the day, where to build extra time/wiggle room, and how to get vendors in and out- so at the very least hire them to do your coordination so you don’t have to worry about that. Most of all, it was the small moments and meetings and phone calls that meant so much. She really made us feel special, heard, supported, and validated throughout the whole process. Do yourselves a favor, hire her and her team, then start planning the day of your dreams together- she will make sure it’s all you wanted and more!

Alexis was my day of coordinator for my wedding on 11/2/19. In our initial call she specified that if we couldn’t talk for an hour we probably shouldn’t work together, which I appreciated. Alexis also offered a discount to all same-sex and multi-cultural couples, which I really liked. What was most helpful was that Alexis created a master timeline, as well as filtered timelines for different groups (the venue, the wedding party, etc.). She also drove items to the venue the night before, and brought things back to our hotel after the reception. On the day of she was at the venue helping with set up, and I had a “bridal assistant” with me. I’m honestly not sure what she did versus other vendors. Everything looked beautiful and I was very happy with the final result, however, there were a few issues.
Alexis first met with us 8 weeks before the wedding. She emphasized that I should feel super relieved because I’d be able to step away from the planning now that she was involved. She said she would send intro emails to vendors and we’d get a “Friday email” each week giving us a list of tasks. I was under the impression that would start right away, but I didn’t hear from her again for 2 weeks, and she didn’t reach out to the vendors until 2 ½ weeks later – which was only a month before our wedding date. The Friday emails didn’t actually come on Friday a lot of the time and some weeks she didn’t send them. I often felt confused about what she was responsible for. She asked vendors for information that I already had, or decisions we’d already made. I definitely didn’t feel like I could remove myself from the planning process - I still communicated with vendors for questions, and managed communication with the wedding party and prepared DIY stuff (place cards, signage), which Alexis did not help with. I just felt like she over-stated her role and how much she would help with.
My biggest issue was the “bridal assistant” was not helpful. She forgot the day of emergency kit, and didn't mention she forgot it until I said we needed it. She remained in the bathroom steaming dresses the majority of the day. She turned down invitations to eat with us and very clearly did not want to get to know anyone. It just felt awkward to have her there. When the wedding party got on the bus to take pictures – she forgot all of the bridesmaid bouquets, and my veil. It was clear that she wasn’t able to keep track of things and I needed to step in to manage. For family pictures before the ceremony - she was unable to direct the group - she spoke super quietly, and too quickly, most of us couldn’t hear her. I did not find this part of the service helpful at all.
Pretty much every married friend I have advised me to get a day of coordinator – but I think it depends on your level of organization, how detailed/complicated your wedding is, and how involved other vendors are. Because I didn’t see Alexis most of the day – I don’t know what it would have been like without her. But I definitely didn’t think the bridal assistant was helpful and am unsure if the full service was worth the cost.
Sorry - but this was a waste of my money and my patience. I had carefully laid out plans that should not have been difficult to follow and had carefully checked all details. For day of coordination - they didn't have the latest schedule / timeline and were unable to truly coordinate on the details that were laid out.
At every interaction - there were issues in how they handled simple tasks. I would not hire!!!!
We started working with Alexis/LRE about a year before our October 2019 Chicago wedding. We chose Alexis after talking with several other Chicago wedding planning companies. We liked Alexis because during out intro call she warm, personable, and seem genuinely interested in getting to know us. Talking with her felt more like talking to a friend who was an expert on all things wedding.
We went with the partial planning package which honestly felt like full planning. Most of our interactions were through e-mails, but we also had a handful of phone calls and in person meetings when it came to the big stuff such as florals , stationary, tasting, etc. She was extremely detailed and organized. Having the wedding look "pretty" was my primary goal and she absolutely delivered by creating the romantic fall themed wedding of my dreams. In retrospect, she did more than make it beautiful, but she handled a lot of the logistics and planning timeline which is probably just as important as having a gorgeous wedding. I did not find wedding planning stressful. In fact, Alexis made it fun as she would create weekly to do list for us to tackle important wedding milestones. This helped us not get overwhelmed. and make wedding planning a hobby for us rather than an all consuming stress monster.
She also recommended multiple vendors to us who all turned out to be extremely professional and wonderful at what they do. I trust Alexis's judgement. She was always available for advice and responded promptly to any questions we had. No one likes discussing money, but I will say that her price was extremely reasonable and fair. Many planners I talked to charged an exorbitantly higher price, however, I cannot imagine my wedding feeling any more perfect than it did with Alexis at the helm. The day of the wedding I did not have to think about anything but getting ready and having a good time. Alexis shielded Nick and I from anything that went wrong (I still am not aware of any hiccups, that is how good she is)I told Alexis she was my fairy god mother the night of my wedding and I highly recommend that you chose her to be yours as well.
We hired Alexis (Lillian Rose Events) to be our day of wedding coordination. I can you tell you that is the best money we spent! Alexis is so easy to work with and I loved all our conversations together. Even though we hired her for a day of coordinator, Alexis actually began helping us about 2 months before the wedding. We worked with Alexis to plan and execute our wedding last weekend (9/22) and we agree that hiring her was the best investment we made for our wedding day (besides investing in each other). She helped two busy, very nerdy, highly opinionated people bring their vague vision into focus and then to life. We are both professional researchers and could have gotten stuck going down research rabbit holes, but Alexis got to know us and our budget, and was able to recommend a couple of vendors for each task who for with us. She made it so much easier to make choices. And she kept us on track during our relatively short engagement (9 months from engagement to wedding day, probably 7.5 months working with Alexis). And even though things didn’t go 100% as planned on the wedding day (what ever goes 100% to plan?) I was calm and got to enjoy the day because Alexis and her team were on top of everything.
She is well-priced, fun, creative, smart, and supportive. Even though we never want to plan another wedding, if we were to, we would hire Lillian Rose Events again!
Alexis is the BEST! Having her as my wedding planner felt like I had a little guardian angel watching over everything on my wedding day. Alexis helped with my wedding in a city that I have no familiarity for the past year. Most of the wedding guests were out of town and as a newbie in town, she was one of the first persons that I got to know. I had a very busy past year with no family around and long distance relationship with my fiancee. She has been prompt with responses, accommodating with all requests and really listened to me as I tried to explain what kind of wedding I wanted. She connected me with vendors of excellent qualities and all I had to do were guest management near the end and pay for the vendors (which she reminded me the due date also). I can't imagine a wedding planning without her and despite the barriers, the wedding was phenomenal and everything I asked for. So many guests gushed how beautiful the wedding was and honestly, Alexis did everything. The day of wedding went fine despite there being 4 weddings at the same hotel my wedding was in. Alexis and Bri from Lillian Rose were amazing to work with!!! I hired them for day of coordination for my reception, but they started working on all the details from 2-3 months before. Bri was consistently sending us Friday emails and kept us organized on things we have to make decisions on. The day of the reception Bri was completely on top of everything. Any mix ups with hotel rooms, coordinating with all our vendors, etc she was quick and prioritized things well. She was getting pulled in all sorts of directions from my mom, me, and my fiance and she never stopped smiling once and got to whatever we needed. She took care of everything with the clean up after and texted us the next day to let us know where things were! It was a pleasure working with the both of them and I couldn't be happier I decided to go with them! 100% would recommend them for all brides!!
I hired Lillian Rose Events for my day of wedding coordination. WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Alexis and her team were a godsend and so easy to work with. They did it all! My wedding day was VERY DIY, meaning A LOT of work for Alexis and her crew. They executed wonderfully, from complete set up, to event management and clean up. I needed someone I could trust on one of, if not the most, expensive and exciting days of my life. So much money, time, planning and stress go into weddings and to be able to have a few less things to worry about, know that someone was going to be there that knew everything that was supposed to be happening, understood my vision, kept me on track, etc, meant the world to me. I've never been the bride before, so it's hard to plan for that part when it's a once in a lifetime thing. I've planned parties and big events before, but being the center of attention is a whole different story, one that you truly cannot prepare for until it's happening. We had our wedding last weekend and hired Alexis and her team to do day of coordination for us. Alexis was wonderful from the get go; the process started 12 weeks or so in advance and she was very organized, responsive, and accommodating. She helped me deal with a lot of mishaps that occurred both on the way and day of and made my vision for our wedding come true!
She is very professional, on the top of her game, and very fun to speak and work with. Her team is just as amazing and we couldn't have been in better hands. I got to finally relax and enjoy the rollercoaster ride that was our wedding day.
Best investment ever and another cool thing was that part of that investment went towards helping charities close to our hearts on behalf of Lillian Rose Events!

We first had a webcam chat just for initial pricing and information and things of that sort, I was very nervous at first because I didn’t know if she’d be nice or not. She was beyond what I was hoping for very friendly and it’s becomes all about you when speaking with her! (What every bride wants, right?) She answered all my questions and even gave me some tips and advice on wedding stuff even if I didn’t choose to hire her! Working with her has been everything I need. She’s so reliable! When I’m freaking out about things she’s there to help me calm down. She really gets to know you and what you want and she makes it all happen for you! She’s amazing!
Alexis was such a pleasure to work with!! She is not only amazingly talented, but accommodating and so enjoyable to talk with. She was so on top of everything and present, even well before the wedding. She was so responsive and organized. I only wish I had her from the beginning of wedding planning because she was by far my most valuable asset!
