Working with Maria was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she made us feel completely taken care of and somehow managed to make the e...
ntire planning process feel fun instead of overwhelming.
Maria is incredibly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented, but what really sets her apart is how much she genuinely cares. She listened to what was important to us, understood our vision, and helped us make decisions without ever making the wedding feel like anything other than ours.
On the wedding day, she was absolutely incredible. We didn’t have to think about timelines, vendors, setup, or any of the little things happening behind the scenes—we were able to be completely present and enjoy the day because we knew Maria had everything handled.
She also has an amazing ability to anticipate things before you even realize you need them. Every detail felt thoughtful, everything flowed beautifully, and we felt supported from beginning to end.
If you’re looking for someone who is experienced, calm, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making your wedding amazing, hire Maria. We truly could not recommend her enough!
We signed a contract with Maria and paid our deposit. We didn't hear from Maria for 7 days during which time we sent multiple email and voicemail. We assumed we'd been scammed. ...
When we were finally able to speak with Maria (9 days later) we told her we would be going with another planner and to please refund our deposit. She apologized and agreed to a refund.
She did not refund us and we're now disputing the charge with our credit card.
I highly recommend Maria from “By Your Side Events” as your wedding coordinator! Maria was truly professional and a delight to work with. As a fellow business owner in the industry...
I was able to communicate with her through email and she responded in a timely matter. I truly appreciate her partnership on crafting the perfect micro wedding for our client. She even went above and beyond by flying from CA-NYC two weeks in advance to quarantine before the big day!! I have much respect for a fellow businesswoman who diligently follows CDC standards and has true compassion for the safety and wellness of her clients. We are so glad to of had the opportunity to work with such a wonderful person and look forward to partnering in the future!
Look no further, you have found your planner (your girl, your to-do’er and your new bff)!! Maria is such a gem, seriously the best at what she does. Let’s be real, wedding planning...
is HARD! But with Maria, you will get through it and it will be as perfect as can be. She will talk you through your vision, ideas, issues, and everything that comes between. She is understanding, kind, sweet, patient, super responsive and resourceful. She will be the calm to your storm during the exciting yet stressful time of wedding planning. Believe me when I say, there is no one else you want By Your Side. Thank you Maria and By Your Side Events. You are unbelievably amazing!

ways with a positive attitude, we could hear her smile through the many, many phone calls we had with her. She talked us off of a few ledges, we are so thankful we found her and her girls she had with her on the day of were so kind and thoughtful! They introduced themselves to us and made us feel so taken care of. They went above and beyond for us and our guests and you could tell they just loved their job.
Was almost always significantly late to meetings, including our rehearsal. Made errors on the timeline that led to some mistakes at our event. We often felt deprioritized and forg...
otten about, and it was heartbreaking because we had so much trust and confidence in her in the beginning and spent so much money hiring her. We also really liked her on a personal level, so unfortunately we tried to rationalize away a lot of our disappointments. However, our friends and family were shocked that a wedding planner would be so late to something so important, and we just couldn’t make that feel ok. I do hope this was a fluke because clearly other reviews are good, but I feel obligated to let others know about our experience.

o plan a wedding let alone a destination wedding. I came across Maria from a family recommendation and I am so glad I had her help. She is truly awesome! My wife and I meet with her to share our vision and budget and she made it come to life! Since we had no help paying for the wedding I am so happy that Maria kept us within our budget. She is a true professional. When we first started planning we thought we could do it on our own but it quickly got out of control with the budget even trying to all the DIY stuff. So we dropped everything and let Maria do her thing. Our wedding was very tasteful and not tacky therefore I can’t thank Maria Enough! To all the grooms out there look no further and go with Maria! Happy Planning

think of. She always responded back to my emails or texts very quickly, too. I have a Type A personality, so it was hard to let go and have someone else take complete control, but Maria did an amazing job. She also helped set up some decorations I made and everything looked awesome! We hit a snag with our playlist during the night, and Maria sat outside in the cold to download it all so that our dance party could happen. Thank you so much, Maria!

my planning process feel so at ease. There were so many curve balls thrown at us/her during the planing process and on the day of and she never showed even a sign of concern. If you need someone to keep you grounded, keep it together and someone who knows her stuff you need to hire this girl. THANK YOU!!

ever once had to make a trip out before the wedding because she had everything taken care of which saved us time and money!
