We just got married here and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, with a truly beautiful inside area that's completely customizable to your tastes. It was my dream venue and I’m in love with it.
Crystal, our account executive is amazing and was so helpful the entire way through. She made our vision come true!
This venue will leave you speechless. Not only is it beautiful but the food is incredible ! (The beef is a must have). The staff was very attentive and did an amazing job flipping the room for us. They also made sure everything was perfect ! It was an absolute dream come true !
Byron’s South End is actual perfection. There is so much character, and the location is unbeatable. I worked with Crystal, and she made the planning process so easy, and customized it to exactly what my husband and I wanted (She could also handle my mom, so she’s a verified saint). The food is phenomenal, and our guests still rave about it - especially the collards, crab cakes, and mashed potato bar. 12 out of 10 recommend!!!
Byron’s was the perfect venue for our wedding!
I absolutely loved working with Crystal. She was very accommodating and has excellent communication skills. I also loved how transparent they are about their services and prices so nothing comes as a surprise.
The space is obviously gorgeous which is something I loved because you really don’t need to have any additional decorations.
One of our favorite parts about the venue is the location right in the heart of Southend. It’s a quick walk from the light rail, but they also offer validated parking at the deck a block away. After the wedding, we all walked to one of the local bars to keep the party going.
With it being such a large space, I was a little worried that our mid-sized wedding (130 guests) would feel small, but that wasn’t the case at all.
The food is fantastic! We have gotten so many compliments from guests about our stations. Another thing I loved is that Crystal made sure my husband and I got plates of food so we didn’t have to miss out while we greeted guests. We also got large leftovers to take home that night.
Excellent location and service, and a beautiful venue. What more could you ask for?
We LOVE Byron's - it was the absolutely perfect venue for us. Everyone we interacted with was super professional, and our big day was executed perfectly. The food was especially amazing - countless people have told us that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding!
Our daughter was married in September and her wedding was her dream come true! Danielle & Crystal along with our vendors helped create her perfect wedding. We used the Atrium & Byron's at South End for the ceremony and reception. Both spaces were transformed into beautiful spaces that fit our theme. The staff at Best Impressions were attentive to every detail and produced the best wedding food we have ever had. We received many compliments! It was an amazing day!
We really wanted a non-traditional, industrial type of space, which is exactly what we found at the Design Center Atrium and Byron’s South End. We also needed a space that would hold 200+ people. When we met our coordinator Danielle, we hit it off so well that we took it as a sign and went with it. All of our guests loved the venue and the service of Best Impressions Caterers. It was a dream come true for us- the perfect location!!!!
Byron's is the perfect wedding venue! Location, food, drinks, atmosphere, staff - everything is perfect!! Danielle and Crystal were such a pleasure to work with - they were so responsive during the planning process and planned every little detail to make sure that our wedding went perfectly - and it did!! Choosing Byron's as our venue was the best decision we made!
Our experience with Byron's from the beginning was extremely professional. Danielle is a joy to work with and did everything in her power to make our day perfect and fit within our budget. We truly felt like we were guests at our own wedding, and the day went off without a hitch thanks to the awesome staff and venue coordination. People are still raving about the food and drinks too! Highly recommend Byron's!
Great venue with tons of character. It also comes with an event coordinator. I would suggest to use their in house catering as the food is amazing!!!!! They make having a wedding day easy.
We moved in the middle of wedding planning and Byron's did everything to make our wedding planning seamless. Everything we needed was done electronically- communication, layouts, payment. The actual wedding day and leading up to the wedding was perfect. They accommodated everything we needed and made it as low stress as possible. The service at the wedding was phenomenal. Guests said that if they motioned for the waiter, most of them hustled right over to help. The food was fantastic and there was a lot of it. The space is gorgeous! I loved that the tables and chairs came with the venue. I was so happy to use Nebel alley for pictures as well as the courtyard for cocktail hour. The ceremony and reception was inside, which was great since the day was very warm. Danielle, Crystal, and Stephanie were very professional during the entire event. I worked with Danielle. I didn't meet Stephanie until my wedding day, but she did an excellent job!
Did I mention how delicious the food was? Everyone raved about the appetizers and loved the buffet we did.
A lot of our guests stayed at the Hilton City Center downtown, which has a stop on the light rail, and used the light rail to get to the venue. The East/ West stop is right there! There were a lot of opportunities for great photos with a gorgeous city backdrop.
5 STAR VENUE/VENDOR! Everything was superb from location, accessibility, parking, food, beverages, decor, and service. The vendor offers various options to assist with keeping their clients within their preferred budgets, and their prices/offerings are hard to beat. Danielle and Crystal executed my wedding reception flawlessly!
Our daughter was married in February at the Atrium and the reception was held at Byrons Sourh End. Everything was just perfect with the ceremony there. The reception area was large enough to accommodate our 150 +guests and it was decorated beautifully. Danielle was wonderful to work with and helped us every step of the way toward a beautiful and memorable wedding day. The food was very tasty and was complimented by so many of our guests. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I can't say enough wonderful things about our entire wedding experience with Byrons South End. I would definitely recommend them if you are planning a wedding in the Charlotte area.
Working with Byron's was the best decision we made. We were married in the Atrium and had our reception in the hall. We were planning from San Francisco - Danielle, our coordinator, made the experience completely smooth. She orchestrated all of the vendors, and would answer all of my random email questions... I was beyond impressed by her responsiveness and organization. I wish we could relive every single minute of our magical day.
We are so grateful to the staff at Byron's and especially our catering manager, Jenna, for making our reception such a phenomenal event!! Their catering company Best Impressions is truly best in the industry! Every bite we had during our tasting was mind-blowing-good! The sweet potato ravioli is still being talked about by our friends and family! Although there was a bit of staff turnover, we ended up with a fun and flexible contact in Jenna. They allowed all of the special, personal requests we made and relieved me of many headaches up until the last day!! I cannot recommend Byron's enough. It was also super convenient for our many out of town guests to take the light rail to and from the reception. The only problem we had was that their dance floor was almost not big enough, but that's a great problem to have! :)
We viewed this venue about 8 months before selecting our wedding day. The room is quite large and comes with a dance floor, tables and chairs and plenty of parking. They have a caterer Best impressions that is connected to the venue (the food was amazing). The room is brick with rustic wood ceilings. The only surprise with this venue is that they painted some sections and we found out the week of our wedding that the room was going to look different. Overall it brightened up the room but we weren't warned ahead of time that the room was being updated. The only thing I would say about this venue that still needs updating is the chairs that come with the room. They are definitely in need of updating those but other than that the room rental is well worth the cost especially for the great location.
Loved that we could have our ceremony and reception all in one place. That made it much better for our guests.
I can not say enough about the staff at Byron's South End. We had the pleasure of working with Justin King who attended to every detail of our wedding. Justin helped us pick out the menu, arrange the linens and came up with unique ideas, like our wine wall. The food was mouth watering, full of flavor, came to the table hot and tasted exactly like it did during our initial food tasting. I couldn't have asked for a better venue. We had 110 people attend the reception but the venue made it feel smaller and more intimate in such a great way. The space is unique with a great blend of modern and rustic. Thank you to the very professional staff at Best Impressions/Byron's for being so easy to work with and for delivering a perfect reception for me!!!
When my husband and I picked out the date we wanted for our wedding, our next big task was finding a venue. And one that would be large enough to hold easily 200-300 people. Yes, it was going to be a big party- I'm from a big family, my husband has a large group of friends that travel for all events and then of course we met at work- so our co-workers needed to be there to celebrate with us!
We stumbled upon Byron's- looking at venues that could hold large parties. Once we made an appointment to go there and look around- we were sold. Byron's is a great location- 5 minutes from Uptown Charlotte, right in the hear of South End. It's an old knitting mill that's been renovated and has such character and charm! Byron's is a stop off the light rail (East/West Blvd) and since most of our guests were staying at The Westin, they could take the train to get there. Check!
Ryan and I are not traditional people, so we knew we wanted to have our big day in one location so travel would be minimal for our guests and Byron's provides that. Between the Atrium that we used for the wedding ceremony, the courtyard that held our cocktail hour and the reception hall, once our guests got there, they didn't have to leave until they were tired. And that made it so easy!
We couldn't be happier with the service the venue provided and the great catering that is done by Best Impressions! Our guest all raved about how awesome and unique our venue was and how it totally transpired into a magical place for our wedding! Especially the Atrium where the ceremony was held. My bridal party couldn't envision was it would look like on our big day, but once we got there- they were all mesmerized by how awesome it looked!
I would definitely recommend Byron's for a venue to use for future events! The staff there takes such great care of you that hiring a wedding coordinator is unnecessary! And that's great not to have to deal with!
Byron's was a wonderful choice for our Reception/Catering needs. The staff is very helpful in customizing the space for your event style. They offer an indoor and outdoor reception feel. The food was amazing and we had SO MANY choices to stay with our budget. We opted for stations and were so pleased with the setup for our room.
I worked with professional and helpful staff members, didn't have to worry about chair/table rentals, and enjoyed wonderful food!
Byron's South End was a wonderful place to have my wedding. The staff was always helpful and willing to do whatever you needed of them. The venue is different and all of my guests loved the artsy feel to it.
My husband and I were recently married at the Design Center Atrium (owned by the same owner of Byron's) and had our reception in Byron's South End. I cannot say enough good things about the location and staff!! I loved the unique interior of Byron's when I first saw pictures online and after visiting, we knew that we wanted to have our reception there. The location was great for our medium-sized wedding, the ambiance was amazing, the food was so delicious, and our guests had a great time! Heidi was especially helpful throughout our planning process and I can't thank her enough. Byron's comes highly recommended by us and our families!
the environment was great and the staff was even better!
Overall I would recommend Byron's as a reception venue. The set up and breakdown was easy and I didn't have to do much (which was nice considering I was the bride). Everyone was easy to work with and it turned out just how I wanted it. My only complaint was the air. It was so HOT!!! It was the beginning of July.. so it is to be expected but I wish they had turned up the air. But I would for sure do it all over again at the same place. Thanks Byrons!
I had my reception at Byron's South End. It is such a beautiful and unique place for a reception. They were nice and the event coordinator responded quickly every time I had a question during the planning process.
The venue is a great space with fantastic food. There were a few things that went wrong but it was mostly because the salesperson doesn't actually run the event. They served all of the champagne before we arrived, even though it was supposed to go out at our toast so there was none left for the toast. We had also been promised the food would stay out the whole time but it was taken away 2 hrs before the end of the reception and the bar closed 30 minutes early.
Well, they were really great and professional and was impressed with how the staff were so on top of it during the reception. Had a difficult time later with a refund and really wish I had gotten it ALL in writing up front. But, no other regrets...best day of my life:)
good sized space catering included with space rental good ambiance and room decor
