Caffe Luna

We had our wedding reception at Caffe Luna this summer and it was absolutely perfect! Darcey was incredible to work with during the planning process and the Caffe Luna staff service was excellent the night of our event. Darcey went above and beyond to offer suggestions, answer questions, and do everything possible to help me plan a perfect celebration. Communication with her was always quick and consistent. It is clear she truly cares about the people she works with. Caffe Luna was also very flexible when we had to change so many of our plans due to COVID. The food is also delicious! Everything was amazing and I can't recommend this venue enough!

Caffe Luna was the perfect venue for us! I'd highly recommend for anyone having a smaller wedding or a party. Darcey was so wonderful - she helped us navigate planning the reception, and was so flexible even with all of the challenges and changes the COVID regulations threw our way. The staff did an amazing job at the reception, the rooms looked gorgeous with very little decoration, and the food was delicious!

We were originally planning to have a 150 person wedding, but 4 weeks out we had to cancel at our original venue due to COVID. We ended up having a smaller wedding and moved it to Caffe Luna - it was incredible! The team is AWESOME- they are so accommodating, flexible, kind, and helpful. Food is amazing. They even let you have a DJ! Highly recommend for baby showers, rehearsal dinner, and weddings. Can't thank them enough for helping make our wedding day so special!

Caffe Luna was absolutely perfect for our 110 person wedding! Darcey is a total sweetheart to work with, she coordinated everything we needed and was very responsive with emails, phone calls, and in-person meetings. Having food, alcohol (beer and wine), linens, table settings, everything like that included made the planning so much easier. The staff the day-of also set up our very minimal decorations so we didn't have to worry about having a coordinator to set everything up. They were a dream to work with, our guests loved the food, absolutely amazing experience!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Caffe Luna. From the incredible food to the outstanding location, Darcey and her team went above and beyond to make our 100 person wedding reception a success. Everything was included-- the meal, the linens, the alcohol, and more-- which made the wedding planning process that much easier. Darcey was so easy to work with throughout our wedding prep, and offered helpful feedback and advice immediately whenever we had questions. And the food... oh my stars! The consensus among our guests has been "best wedding meal ever," and we have to agree!! We are so grateful to Caffe Luna for making our big day one for the books.

I have to start by saying that I looked at a bunch of options, and some places had a great location but limited catering, others had good catering but not the best location, until I realized that I'm going about it all wrong and I need to have my wedding at a restaurant. That's when I called Caffe Luna and from the get go the pricing was great, the owner was so responsive and accommodating, and I finally felt that I had found the perfect place for me. Now, I have to mention Darcey. SHE. IS. ABSOLUTELY. AMAZING. She was so responsive, answered all my questions promptly, knew so much about weddings, and was so organized and helpful that I wouldn't have been able to do it without her. I didn't even need a wedding coordinator because between her and me, we were able to execute everything to a T. Thank you so much. Next comes the location, and honestly Caffe Luna is so beautiful that you really don't need to even decorate it that much. The food was absolutely delicious - some guests told me it was better than the food they had at their own wedding. They had so much variety in the buffet, there was an adequate amount of food for everyone, and they even made accomodations for gluten free guests. I'm a vegetarian myself and still found that the menu was not limiting in any way whatsoever. For me the most important thing was that the food should be good, and the guests should have enough of it, and these two things were true for Caffe Luna. We also got so many boxes of leftovers - it is well appreciated. Plus, let's not forget the unlimited drinks! Finally, the staff at Caffe Luna were excellent and helped setup everything, cleanup afterwards and were so sweet to me the entire time - even when initially I was a little frazzled by everything. I want to thank the entire staff again for making it the best day of my life and for everything going so smoothly!

Caffe Luna was the perfect venue for our wedding. It was an inclusive venue as it’s a restaurant so chairs, tables, linens are already there and they have amazing food! The staff is incredibly nice and so sweet. They made sure we had everything we needed and helped set up and take down our decor.

I got married at cafe Luna May 6th, 2018 and it was wonderful. Darcey was amazing! She helped me with the itinerary, making sure everyone was on the same page, and not pushing to go past any budgets we were on the same page that less was more and that with the venue itself you didn’t need a bunch of decor it was simple and beautiful on its own it didn’t need flowers draped everywhere or on every table it was just everything I wanted. The buffet style was incredible all the different options of food and leftovers galore! The food was delicious, the fruit was fresh! There was plenty of room for guests. It exceeded expectations. I 100% recommend.

Caffe Luna was one of the best decisions, we made when planning our wedding. Darcey was so helpful, and willing to meet with us at anytime to discuss our wedding vision. The food was delicious. The space was perfect for us, we had almost 80 people and plenty of room for a dance floor.

We love love loved everything about our wedding at Caffe Luna! Darcey, Parker, and every staff we encountered before, during, and after were fantastic. We could not have asked for more in a venue. The food was delicious and plentiful. I had several people tell me the calamari was the best they'd ever had (and these folks are picky!). It was as easy as any mostly DIY wedding could be without breaking the bank. We're still beaming!!! Thank you Caffe Luna!!

Darcey with Caffe Luna helped us from the first day to pull off a perfect wedding. We first toured the restaurant several months before our wedding and we instantly fell in love with the place. Darcey was extremely easy to work with and accommodated us along every step of the way. The staff were excellent and the food was amazing. Our only regret was not getting more food for ourselves!

Caffe Luna is the best-kept secret of Downtown Raleigh Weddings. We looked at approximately 10 downtown wedding venues before stumbling upon Caffe Luna, and I'm so lucky that we found them. From my first interaction with Darcey, their catering manager, I knew that they would be a perfect fit for us. Through our 15 months of planning, Darcey was always available to answer every single question, no matter our tedious. The wedding weekend was perfect, from our rehearsal the Friday before to our Sunday wedding. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves and were able to accommodate nearly 100 guests. The food.... oh my! What can I say about the food that would adequately describe how seriously delicious every single thing on the menu was?? Then there was the service. Everyone who worked our wedding was so kind and professional. Our family and friends cannot stop raving about how beautiful, unique, delicious, and fun our wedding was. Extra bonus? Everything we envisioned about our dream downtown wedding was significantly cheaper going through Caffe Luna. Our entire bill at Caffe Luna would have been what we paid for just catering and alcohol for another wedding in downtown. Plus, the venue essentially decorates itself, so we had to provide very little in terms of decorations.

We LOVED having our ceremony and reception at caffe luna! It was so nice to have both events in the same place. Darcy, the coordinator, is very helpful and willing and available to talk almost all the time. The venue itself doesnt require much decoration because of the decor and paintings on the wall. wait staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional. Our pictures turned out AMAZING with their back drops and we were able to visit some local spots for additional pictures that were very close. The food was undeniably the guests favorite thing, such a spread and so much left over. My Italian mother in law was amazed at how authentic the food was and said she hasnt had that kind of italian food at a resturant in decades. Just a couple issues i had- we were told we would be provided an arch for the ceremony and found out that morning that there wasnt an arch- thankfully a friend bought and then returned one that we were able to use. The specifics i had given darcy for the waitstaff- cutting the cake, releasing tables for the buffet- were not given and i had to ask them to do it myself. (though darcy was out of town so that might have influenced that) And vendors are not allowed into the building until 1 hour before the ceremony, which was a big deal to many of my vendors. Overall though, i would totally recommend this venue to any!! our wedding was beautiful, we had a great time, and our guests had a great time. what else can you ask for?

With this venue, it is already perfect for a reception. No need to add any other décor because of the authentic Italian feel. The colors in the room made for an elegant and intimate evening with friends and family. The wait staff was so friendly and they looked genuinely excited to be there, which certainly made a difference. They were not intrusive at all, but were very observant and knew exactly what we needed even before we did. The food is always enjoyable. The tastes and smells were heavenly. There was not a clean plate in sight at our reception.

From my first phone call to Darcey at Caffe Luna for information to picking up my decorations the day after the wedding (that the staff had already boxed up and had waiting for me) my entire experience was phenomenal! We had our small wedding of about 24 guests in the VIP Room on a Friday night. The room was gorgeous with very little additional decorations other than a few flowers and candles. We had a small ceremony before dinner in the room. The food was delicious! (Make sure you go for a tasting so that you can pick your pasta entrée selections.) We had an open bar of beer and wine. The service was on point. My wedding was everything I had dreamed it to be! Darcey was very easy to work with and always quick to answer my millions of emails. I can't compliment Parker and his staff at Caffe Luna enough.

Embarrassed, Humiliated that my Son’s wedding guests were subject to Café Luna’s inability to provide the proper amount of food for my guest. I called the Manager I was dealing with for her to see the empty trays of several platters and needed to replenish asap since there were 3 table still to line up for the buffet. I was told we don’t replenish and the chief cooked for 90. I only had 80 guest and the plates were of small size, most definitely not a true diner plate. SO, what happened, my last 22 guests to go up had slim pickings. I was totally humiliated. IT was an August wedding, and due to the age of the building I was told after my guest were complaining of the heat that they could not raise the air and the ceiling fans would have to do. Please save yourself the embarrassment and rethink a Café Luna Wedding.

Our wedding reception in October really could not have been more flawless at Caffe Luna. Darcey could not have made planning and coordinating any more simple or less stressful. Pricing is inclusive of all linens, tables, chairs, servers, bar, food etc. We feel overwhelmed with the results we received for the price paid. We had untold numbers of our guests rave about their experience. From the staff, to the venue, and most certainly the food, all seemed very impressed. Several commented it was the best food that they have ever had at a wedding reception. During the event we had no stress that every detail was being handled and every guest was receiving excellent service. What truly is a testament to their abilities is that while every glass stayed full and every plate was cleared, it seemed like you never saw a staff member. Above all we were proud to share everything about the night with our closest friends and family. It was a special experience that we will never forget.

Caffe Luna includes everything from the tables and chairs to servers to setup to a wine and beer bar. They made everything easy and beautiful. Darcy is the wedding coordinator and she's super easy to work with and they'll accept just about any request. The food was amazing and the whole restaurant was gorgeous. It rained, so we took all of our photos indoors, but it was so pretty I didn't even care! It's definitely the best value because everything was included and we even had food left over to take home! I highly recommend it!!!

Caffe Luna was perfect for our small wedding reception! We worked with Darcey Tinga. She was delightful--helpful, patient and always pleasant. We rented the restaurant for four hours on Sunday, which meant there was a reduced minimum. Besides being much more affordable compared to other options, our reception was worry free. The space is beautiful and needs very little additional decoration. (As a convenience they allowed us to drop off our non-perishable decorations a day or two ahead of time.) Simple centerpieces and are sufficient for the tables and the restaurant provides everything else. The rental includes food and beverage with beer and wine, servers and bartenders, and all the tables and linens. You might want to think before you try to coordinate all those elements yourself! The space also allowed us to easily pace the evening for our 60 guests. We started with cocktails in the main dining room and then went into the second and third dining rooms (opened to make one room) for a seated meal at round tables that made conversation easy. Everything was delicious and the staff were friendly and absolutely professional. Caffé Luna was a wonderful choice for our wedding. It allowed us to stay within our budget and still host a lovely reception. We rate it 10 out of 10!

Caffe Luna was an amazing venue for our wedding reception on June 20, 2015. The buffet is a great value and includes a huge spread of delicious food as well as unlimited wine and beer. Everyone loved the food and the space and asked if we chose the decor, which was already in the restaurant, for our Monet-themed wedding. Darcey, the catering manager, responded immediately to all of my questions and requests during the 1.5-year planning process and was great to work with. I would definitely choose Caffe Luna for another event!

We had a 100% gluten-free wedding at Caffe Luna. Working with Darcey was a great experience. All of the staff were easily accessible and extremely accomodating. Even though a supplier backed out with the gluten free product at the last minute, the staff was able to still provide us with the best dinner!!! My biggest concern was a short time frame in which to decorate and get ready. We were only able to get into the venue and reception space 1 hour prior to the ceremony. The wedding party and staff had to work very quickly to get everything set up in time. It was also a bit strange to have people walking on the street to look into our reception. We were able to hang a curtain behind our ceremony area, so that was private. Overall, we loved the venue. We highly recommend this venue as a ceremony and reception location!

Caffe Luna did an amazing job - the food was delicious, the venue was gorgeous, the staff was very professional - it was just perfect for us. Darcey, the events manager was very professional, kind and conscientious. I would highly recommend this venue for any bride that wants a intimate, beautiful wedding!

We chose Caffe Luna for our wedding and reception because we enjoyed their food, the price was right and so was the location. As we started to tell our friends and family, we heard from more and more positive experiences. We hoped it would live up to the hype – and it did! It was a breeze planning our event there. The owner is almost always there, out front greeting people and working hard, and Darcy, the event coordinator, is indeed amazing. She was cheerful, energetic, engaging, extremely accommodating, easy to reach, and always helpful, from start to finish. The venue is beautiful. The food was fantastic. It's served buffet style: Shrimp, sausage, pasta, salmon, meatballs, fruits, cheeses, veggies, creampuffs, breads...everything was really, really good. People raved, and got their fill, and there were leftovers. We had guests with shellfish allergies, and they were incredibly accommodating. I really just can't say enough about how great our wedding here was. It's definitely a Raleigh institution, and would recommend it to anyone that wants a classy, gorgeous downtown wedding at a great price.

I'm not sure just how much I can say about this vendor. Everything was wonderful. So much is included in the price (which was a deciding factor for me). It was a great place for us to have our wedding. It didn't need much in the way of decorations, it already had it's own charm with the high ceilings and the paintings on the wall. All of the staff there are so nice. The service is awesome and the food was amazing! Days after, all I heard about was how good the food was.

We used Caffe Luna for our rehearsal dinner, and it was incredible! The staff was very helpful to my mother-in-law beforehand, with planning the menu and table set up and centerpiece ideas. They also have the most amazing spread of all the buffets I've seen (surpassing even some weddings!). If you haven't been, try it out. And if you're considering them for your wedding or rehearsal dinner, you won't be sorry!

We decided to have our wedding ceremony and reception at Caffe Luna because we wanted a small wedding, and I had heard good things about Caffe Luna. It ended up being perfect! The staff were amazing, especially their catering manager Darcey. We didn't know anything, and she was a great help in so many aspects of the wedding. I would highly recommend Caffe Luna as a venue site. The food was GREAT - all our guests kept going on about it. We even brought the leftovers for the afterparty!

Perfect venue for a reception on the smaller side (we had 76 guests - anymore and we really wouldn't have had much of a dance floor). They were so easy to work with and very accommodating - we needed more vegetarian dishes and they were happy to provide us with those options. Many of our guests said it was the best food they had ever had at wedding. The restaurant is already quite pretty with great natural light, so only minimal floral arrangements were needed. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful place to have the ceremony & reception if you're looking for an affordable place. The owner, Parker, and his event coordinator, Darcey, were fantastic to work with and exectued all of mine and my groom's wishes. The food was amazing and exceeded my expectations.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Caffe Luna and it was amazing! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone planning a rehearsal dinner. the food was amazing and the staff was friendly and easy to work with. Everyone had a blast!

Title says it all good not great, no choice on your drinks for your guest, or food really. I went with them because they were the "cheaper" choice. 2 weeks before the wedding I go to pay the final amount, turns out they were the same price as the cater I wanted to go with. Very upsetting, great place to go to dinner on a date night but cater your wedding eh. You can find better for the same amount.

Caffe Luna did an exceptional job hosting my wedding reception. The food was amazing and many of our friends and family said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. The service was fantastic as well, and it was all within our budget!
