Cake by Alissa

he also made SEVEN cakes for our wedding and hand delivered them all. Can you believe that??? One of a kind service, a passionate and professional baker.

ng a chocolate cake with a chocolate and espresso buttercream alternating with vanilla buttercream frosting. My guests were raving about the cake all night. Her decorative flair to the cake and flower placement were perfect! I highly recommend Alissa if you’re looking for a big, classic, DELICIOUS cake!

o good! Our guests absolutely loved the cake as well. Not only was the the cake itself delicious, but we had two guests with dietary restrictions that we were able to have special cupcakes made. Alissa was more than accommodating. Thank you Alissa!

m. Shortly before the wedding we decided we also wanted a small cutting cake for the two of us, and I had emailed her an idea about decorating it to match the back of my dress. She absolutely crushed it. It was exactly what I had envisioned and as someone who loves the little details, seeing this come to life was such a fun part of our day. The cupcakes for all of the guests were amazing and venue was able to use the boxes Alissa provided to package up our leftovers. We cannot recommend her enough!!

was responsive, thoughtful, and creative throughout. The end result was a beautiful and delicious cake that perfectly reflected my vision for it, demonstrating the close attention and care that Alissa had paid, even for a relatively small order like ours. Thank you, Alissa!

o take home for our anniversary. We highly recommend Alissa for your future events! She created a beautiful and tasty cake.

sso buttercream as well as lemon cake with lemon curd and lemon buttercream.

our cake and cupcakes to be better than we could have imagined. The cake was the peanut butter passion- soo good. Cupcakes were Carrot Cake and Funfetti. We couldn't be happier :)

esign elements were spot on, reflecting the elegance and style we envisioned for our special day. More importantly, the cake tasted absolutely delicious, with each layer moist and flavorful, leaving our guests raving about it! Alissa's dedication to her craft and her ability to translate our vision into a stunning centerpiece made our wedding day even more memorable. We are grateful to have had her expertise and artistry contribute to such a wonderful celebration.

inalizing all of the vendor information for our wedding, Alissa called and asked for final details, designs, and serving sizes. She was very flexible to make sure we weren't over spending on more than we needed. She was also able to use a florist of her own for flower details on the cake, which saved us some money on our florist quote. We trusted her to use her judgement and do whatever she wanted with the suggestions we made for design and she did not disappoint. We loved it, our guests loved it, and it was so so so pretty. I would recommend Cake by Alissa to anyone in the Upstate NY/Queensbury/Glens Falls/Queensbury/Lake George areas!

have for the future, which was something we didn't realize was provided - such a nice detail! Most importantly our cake was absolutely delicious. One of our "'foodie" friends let us know that our cake "set the bar very high" before he had to go to a cake tasting of his own, and that "our dessert at the wedding was (insert fire emoji) - I couldn't stop shoveling it". We also ended up bringing a Tupperware of cake with us on our honeymoon, so we could continue enjoying after the celebrations were over.

rson to work with. Visiting her shop is really one of the highlights of preparing for our wedding. The presentation of the cupcakes and cake on our wedding day was absolutely gorgeous. We could not recommend working with Alissa enough!

as. She was very responsive and helpful during the entire process. Would highly recommend!

cious everything was! Alissa was so easy to work with and everything came out better than we could have imagined! We will definitely be using Alissa for all of our cake needs in the future!

eet tooth were raving about them! Alissa was also great to work with and so friendly!! 10/10 experience!

I ordered a cake to feed 100 and 2 dozen cupcakes for 120 people. I fully expected to take home some desserts as I know some people don't eat sweets. There was NOTHING left for me to take home. I'm extremely happy with how everything turned out and would hire her again in a heartbeat.

too. So good in fact that we ate the anniversary tier two days later. We will be contacting her to make us a little one in a year!

ecommend Cake By Alissa!!

d she created a cake exactly how I wanted. The best part was how delicious the cake tasted. We specifically asked for a slightly bigger cake than we needed just to have some leftovers. My fiancé and I loved having the cake for a few nights after the wedding. I highly recommend hiring Alissa for your cake needs.

after New Years. My mom mostly worked with Alissa, but I wanted to write this review to say how amazing she is, how amazing her cake was, and how above and beyond she went for us. Alissa not only made us a perfect/delicious cake (one tier was gingerbread and one tier was vanilla bourbon), she went out of her way to deliver the cake to the restaurant for us. She was supposed to be out of town, and made it a point to help us in this way. Not only will I never forget how yummy that cake was, I will never forget the pure kindness Alissa showed my husband and I during such a stressful time. Please consider giving Alissa a call for all of your baking needs. And thank you, Alissa!

, as we got to choose flavors a head of time, but then were able to try as many different combinations of those flavors as we wanted to! Choosing which combinations to go with was probably the hardest part, because there were no bad choices! Being from out of state, Alissa was great to work with via email and answered all of our questions we had forgotten to ask while we were in the shop! When we needed to move our wedding date because of the pandemic she didn’t even bat an eye when helping us move to our new date. Since we had to move our date because of the pandemic we had been dreaming of our cake for over a year, and the first bite was no disappointment, in fact better than we even remembered! Our guests have commented on how great the cake was, and even after being frozen while we were away on our honeymoon it was delicious when we had a piece the other night and we are looking forward to enjoying our anniversary cake next year together!

thing of course, was the cake: it was INCREDIBLE. Not only was it beautiful and everything I had envisioned and more, but it actually tasted delicious. I've been to countless weddings and have literally never liked the cake, so it's awesome to be able to say that I genuinely loved my own wedding cake. Plus she gave us a mini cake in a totally different flavor combination to cut on our one-year anniversary. I give this vendor 5 gold stars. Thank you, Alissa!

ite a task. I spoke to some very well-known places in the area known for wedding cakes, and they either were inconsistent with their communication or their prices were INSANE. We were looking for some kind of gluten free option, and after speaking with Alissa on the phone, and navigating her website, we found we had so many options it was unbelievable. We met her at a local coffee shop to do our cake-tasting (with cupcakes!), and couldn't believe what we were eating... I'm one to do lots of research, and I don't like to "pull the trigger" so to speak on something before I've done adequate "vetting" LOL, but after that taste, there was no way we could go with anyone else. We had 30 people, three layers: bottom chocolate, middle yellow, top GF chocolate, with two layers of filling: cannoli and mocha, with buttercream frosting. I'm salivating just remembering how delicious, how moist and chocolatey it was... And she gave us a completely separate layer to freeze for our one-year anniversary. $200. Can't beat it. I'll say it again - OUTSTANDING! Highly recommended!!

ing. I was so pleased! Alissa was a pleasure to work with. She was responsive and delivery was on-time. Highly highly recommend!!!

ome seconds at the end of the night!!  Alissa was great to work with, reasonably priced, communicative, and down to earth. Highly recommend!

he different types of cupcakes and our cutting cake looked beautiful, especially given the fact that we had such a large wedding! The best part of all, however, was how incredible they tasted. We have never seen a wedding where all of the cupcakes and cake were eaten so fast by the guests (and we bought more than 1 per person too!). There were only a handful left by the end of the night! The taste and setup exceeded our every expectation. This is largely due to how receptive and responsive Alissa was to our emails and communications; whenever we had a question or looked for some advice, she was there to help us and seemed excited to do it. We will certainly be recommending her to all of our family and friends, and we can't wait to order more cakes/cupcakes with Alissa for our own future celebrations!

nd frosting flavors to come up with the best choices for our summer wedding. The end result was fantastic! We look forward to returning for future cakes.

sa was great to work with, and we had a lot of fun during our tasting.

ived compliments from many of our guests) and beautiful.

and we had a lovely tasting prior to deciding which of her many delicious flavors we would choose. You won’t regret hiring her for your tasty treats on your big day!

our 1 year anniversary. We can't thank you enough Alissa!!

t. The cake looked beautiful and was made to fit into our autumn theme; it tasted great too!

sse filling and white buttercream frosting, and strawberry cake with cannoli filling and white buttercream frosting. Amazing! We had several guests tell us it was the best cake they've ever had. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we definitely recommend Cake by Alissa!

other reviews, we made the best decision ever to go with Alissa Woods for our wedding!!!! The cake was absolutely gorgeous, with fresh flowers, it made for the perfect Fall Wedding Cake of my dreams! We decided to go with the Guinness chocolate cake with Baileys Irish cream butter cream. The top layer was Gluten Free, and trust me it was the best gluten free cake I have ever had. My husband tried it and couldn't even tell the difference. She also made us chocolate chip and blueberry muffins as a evening snack, and wow it was delicious! Everyone was asking who the baker was, it was a huge hit. Thank you so much Alissa!!!!

as just so good! She was very accommodating to taste, style, and budget! She made us a three tier Strawberry shortcake (which was too die for!), in addition she also made cupcakes: "His" = Red Velvet, "Hers" = Mint Chocolate Chip, and "Ours" = Strawberry Shortcake. Our wedding guests LOVED the cake and the cupcakes by the end of the night they were all gone! Alissa has a great little shop and when you go to your tasting make sure to take some home for later, because you'll want to share what you tasted with your family and just will want to have some extra for later anyway! Alissa was very flexible to work with, she even helped me create a surprise groom cake for my husband with all of his favorite brewery logos on it. It was a wonderful surprise at our rehearsal dinner and he loved it!! If you're looking for delicious taste and a beautiful cake and you're on a budget, hire Alissa, she will take care of you and give you the best cake/cupcakes for your wedding day!

you the option of an anniversary mini-cake fresh for your 1st anniversary so you don't have to store cake for a year. No other baker we talked to offered this. I would recommend her to everyone!

loved them we had none left, which was funny to us since we heard no one ever eats cake! She does an excellent job!

ra to take home! We were blown away and had a hard time picking which flavors we wanted since it was so good. We went with a yellow cake, raspberry filling and a cream cheese frosting. It looked beautiful AND tasted amazing! I heard several guests say it was the best wedding cake they had ever had!

ombinations. We went with the dark chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and the white cake with lemon filling and meringue frosting. I'm not a big cake person, but these cakes were FABULOUS. They were beautiful, delicious, and very reasonably priced. (We purchased a small decorative cake for the head table, and sheet cakes for 200 guests for $185!) We also ordered a dozen gluten-free cupcakes, which surprised and delighted our guests with gluten allergies who had already resigned themselves to forgoing cake....we loved having that option! I also should mention that we didn't have a specific vision for our decorative cake...we let Alissa be creative and come up with a design based on some leftover decorative materials we gave her, and it turned out more beautiful than we could have imagined! We highly recommend Cakes by Alissa!

so brought the cake samples to us at another appointment and we got to keep the extras! Couldnt have asked for a better cake or nicer person
