this bakery and its owner Tonya Brown deserve zero stars ! Wanted to share our personal experience using Cake creations Omaha to help others make an informed decision when placing...
an order for your big day… I will keep it as short as possible. After posting on Nextdoor searching for recommendations for a cake/cupcake bakery I reached out to cake creations with an image of flower cupcakes asking if they were able to create cupcakes exactly as the image was including the design and color. the owner Tonya stated they absolutely could recreate the image so I placed the order and paid in full. I sent my youngest daughter to pick up the cupcakes at a self-service cooler inside the eatery portion of Casanovas in Rockbrook Village the day before our daughters backyard wedding (Friday around 2pm) When she returned home with the cupcakes I immediately reached out via email (which is the only way to contact them) to Tonya as the cupcakes were not at all like the cupcake image I sent her and the design we asked for she first responded with I never sent her an image then quickly followed it up with I am out of town have terrible reception sorry I’m not there to fix them … Offering zero solution for the cupcakes to be fixed replaced or returned. I continued to reach out via email in hopes a solution would be offered before the wedding which was @ 2pm the very next day with zero response. I continued to attempt to reach out the morning of in hopes we could resolve the issue with zero response. So we were forced to find and purchase another alternative for our daughter’s wedding cupcakes. The following day I decided to see if there was a way I could speak to someone personally instead of communicating thru email and searched up the name on the email “Tonya Brown” a Facebook page popped up it was a personal page I clicked on it in search of a way to contact her business I knew it was the right person as she had made an image of my cupcake order her cover photo in the comment section of the photo she proceeded to laugh and and mock my situation for reaching out via email asking for help expressing to friends and family she was viewing every email and intentionally ignoring them stating she hoped I just went away. I again reached out Monday morning asking for a response on how to remedy this situation (we still had the cupcakes in the container untouched) With zero response since Friday evening at 6pm. We finally tossed the cupcakes late Monday evening as we could no longer accommodate refrigeration space. Tonya finally reached out Tuesday evening around 4 pm and instructed me to return the cupcakes for a Full refund. When I stated we had disposed of them she said she would give a partial refund since the cupcakes were disposed of. If she would have properly communicated in a timely professional manner and offered solutions for a fix or instructions to return them we would have promptly returned the cupcakes to her drop off location that very day or any day up to mo day evening when we disposed of them, Instead she chose to ignore a paying customer lie about having reception all while posting, acknowledging & laughing at the situation on social media. As a business owner this is highly inappropriate & extremely unprofessional behavior to flat out lie to a paying customer to ignore and refuse to offer any solution to a problem that was immediately brought to her attention. I highly suggest anyone searching for a bakery for cupcakes or a cake for their big day to dig deep & do your research on the bakery you choose to avoid a nightmare business owner like this. Once I started really digging into her business I found I am not alone, the owner just works very hard at removing and hiding all negative reviews from unhappy customers. And ensuring family and friends over inflate her positive ratings. Nobody deserves to deal with an owner who conducts business like this this on their wedding day or any special day!
Would give Zero stars if possible

e asked for the most absurd out of the ordinary Grooms cake and they delivered. So much that it was too pretty to eat, and my Huband and myself got to enjoy it to ourselves since the guests devoured our entire dessert table before we could get anything. Would trust this team for anything baking needs time and time again! Thanks all for making our day wonderful and special!!
Highly recommend Tonya and her team at Cake Creations! She took my vision of what I wanted my wedding cake to be and made it even better! Our wedding cake was lemon, our favorite! ...
We did sheet cakes for the rest and the flavors were pink champagne, cannoli and white chocolate. So yummy! So many compliments on the cakes!
Our cake was perfect that these guys made for our wedding reception! It was exactly what we wanted and more. The only reason I did give 4 stars was because the cake arrived much la...
ter than the time they said they would get it to the venue. It arrived about 30 minutes before the reception was to be getting started. We could not get ahold of anyone to see where the cake was at. This caused me a lot of stress at the time, as I thought we were not going to have our beautiful cake to cut. Turns out the delivery person just got lost and that is why they were late. All in all, the cake made it there just in time and it looked amazing. So thanks to everyone who helped out. The cake tasted amazing was was super moist!!
Tonya and her team are SO professional and accommodating. Especially during these times! Not only that, but the cake was phenomenal! I had to make LOTS of last minute changes and T...

Don’t do business with them unless you’re okay with the OWNER of the business personally making your cake wrong and try to make excuses for it the day of. I gave Tonya a very speci...
fic design, that she did and was featured in Wedding Essentials. I asked the same cake and she failed completely. She dropped it off and ran out before we could talk to her and we know why. She made excuses left and right for why it wasn’t what I told her I wanted. It was disappointing and unprofessional for a cake business to be unable to do the one thing that makes them stand out other than taste. I’m glad other people had wonderful experiences with Cake Creations and that’s why I wanted to go through them but they seem to pick and choose who they really want to please and satisfy.
I have had several of their cakes and treats at multiple weddings and. events ad I am impressed EVERY TIME! They are beautiful, moist and so SOOO good!
Everything was amazing! Our cake was gorgeous as well as delicious! Cake Creations made our wedding cake and four different flavors of cupcakes and we received so many compliments ...
on how good everything was. We are already looking forward to our anniversary cake in one year just to try it again. Thank you for making our special day even better! It was absolutely perfect and I would recommend Cake Creations to anyone!
We tried their cake at a bridal fair and from the moment I tasted their almond hazelnut cake I knew we needed to book them for the wedding cake. It was gorgeous and exactly how I ...
pictured it. All four flavors of cake were a hit at the reception! Thank you Cake Creations!

ne working at Cake Creations was very professional and NOT rude. A big thank you to them. The only issue was that the design was off a little bit (could have used more flowers). Other than that, everything was great.

ery affordable too! They came in and set everything up for us as well, which was a huge plus! I can’t recommend them enough!
Not only was the cake gorgeous, but everyone was raving about how delicious and moist it was! I would definitely order from Tonya again.

BRIDES BEWARE. DON'T DO BUSINESS.

aid there and she said see you on your wedding day. We discussed having a groomsmen cake but I said let me think on that but went to a different vendor.
My wedding day cake did not arrive. Called her store up and they said in their way. Then I got a fb message saying call the store. I was told I never bought the cake and she messaged me several times. I said I bought it months ago. They showed up with the cake half hour before the wedding. It was never made. She dropped it before arriving and the owner said I'm here for the bride that wants free cake. I have wedding guest and party witnessing this. The cake was supposed to have deadpool popping out and she did a half assed job.She was rude to staff and told my bridesmaid I was a liar.
I went back next day with my receipt. She gave me a refund after demanding it but blamed me for her mistakes. Told me the $225 was now a deposit. Said that she has to ask me more about my RSVP and i never contacted her. She said I never gave her her phone number. This woman would get coffee from me and at any moment of I didn't give my number she could of asked for it at anytime or talked to me. She instead said excited to make your cakes weeks before my wedding.
She denied cursing at staff at my wedding venue and calling me a liar. Made all the problems mine and said it was due to the lack I my communication . Yet I have proof with the reciept. I have a photo copy of the cake she was designing with date, time, how much servings, what I paid, where to go, and what I wanted all in her handwriting. All proof that I paid and she agreed to it
. There are better places to get your wedding day cake and better customer service . I deserved that on my wedding day but didn't happen. I hope others don't have the same problems.
I have had these treats a few times...the cupcakes are very very tiny and they were not that tasty for the price. I would look elsewhere if you want to have memorable treats for yo...

Very disappointed in the service we received from this bakery. Yes, we know Tonya does amazing work which is why we were so upset about what we received. Groom’s cake looked nothin...
g like what I showed her. She told me I agreed to do half fondant half frosting, which I did, because she told me it would look the same. She pulled up our FB messages to show me I was wrong but left out the part where she told me it would look the same as the pic. She told me I needed to buy the props for the cake only after I told her how disappointed I was with it. If I would have known, I would have bought them. She got upset when I told her I wanted a refund and gave me back $40 of the $95 I spent on the grooms cake. Also, apparently she gives couples a free anniversary cake now if they use her for their wedding, which she never told us. Like I said, I know she does great work which is why I was so upset with my husbands cake, as it was a surprise as well. I would expect better treatment and quality from someone I paid over $400 for their products. She deleted my family’s reviews then hid her reviews on her facebook.
I was really excited to order a cake from this bakery. The facebook page shows some pretty amazing photos. However, I was very disappointed with the cake I ended up getting. I re...
quested a purple ombre for my daughters bday and basically got a dark purple/blue cake which had no ombre to it at all. When I spoke with the Owner of the bakery, she told me that buttercream fades after it has been exposed to light...first time I have heard of a cake acting like a chameleon, but whatever...So, after having the cake sit out from 10am until 1pm, in the light, it still did not fade..matter of fact, it did not fade at all when I took a phot of it at 9pm that night...Apparently, the Owner of the bakery thinks it was my fault for not being specific about the color I wanted...and I should have had my party in the late afternoon so that the color would fade....wow! I would highly recommend not using this bakery....The Owner does not take responsibility for mistakes and will end up making you feel like you were at fault..
Awesome Job! Cake was amazing and delicious
Tonya Brown was a joy to work with and made the most beautiful cake for my husband and I!
I have ordered 2 cakes from this business and have been impressed both times. The first was for a 1st birthday party. All I said was cute, spring theme, and a few bees and ladybugs...
. It was a two tier cake and so above my expectations. Besides the cute decorations, the cake was soooo good! The next cake we ordered was for my parents 50th anniversary. It was beautiful. We had several discussions and I changed my mind several times. They were gracious and allowed the changes (the last change was a week before the event). I'm really impressed and will order from them again.
I was very excited to use Cake Creations for my wedding as I have been following their instagram and facebook pages for over a year now and they clearly make beautiful cakes. I mes...
saged the facebook page to get some basic info about their cakes and pricing and got short, undetailed responses. No "would you like to stop in for a tasting?" "Can I answer any other questions for you?" etc... I thought "maybe they're just busy." So I stopped in the store to set up a tasting. When I walked in, I automatically felt like I was a bother to the owner. I shrugged it off thinking maybe it was just an off day. I went in for my tasting with my family and again felt like we were a bother. I was disappointed as well in the cake its self. There was only one icing flavor to try. We felt rushed the whole time and left feeling pretty uninformed. The owner did not bother to give us even a small amount of detail about any of their cakes or services which did not leave peace of mind. These sorts of things are supposed to be exciting and fun for brides & grooms and their families but this experience left us feeling upset and taken back. Overall very disappointed.

Creations had a large wood slab that my cake sat on to add to the theme of my wedding. I can't wait for our 1 year anniversary so we can get some more cake!!
I don't normally do reviews, but in this case I needed to. I placed an order for my daughters birthday cake with very high expectations considering her facebook page and Instagram....
You can clearly see she has talent. I choose to use her because I was wanting to see what her cakes where like mayself since im planning a wedding.
I ordered the cake five weeks in advance. Sent her pictures of what I wanted and gave her my flavor options. I message her the day of the party to see where I had to pick the cake up, when I did so she informed me that she was working on the cake now. I had my mother and fiancé pick up the cake and, when they where given the cake they noticed immediately that it was not anywhere near her skill level. They also noticed that a pretty important part of the cake was missing. When he brought up the fact that it was missing, was when someone came over and explained that their was complications. I understand that things can happen, but I do not understand why we where not informed of the said complications prior to us picking up the cake. There where a couple opportunities that came up for her to do so. In the morning when I messaged her and before we where given our cake. We also ordered matching cupcakes and only received cupcakes with sprinkles which on her pages is not what she does. She puts some sort of decoration.
We also ordered a filling for our cakes and a special flavor. The filling was minimal and the lemon flavor was nonexistent. We where not offered a discount for the cake not being what we asked for even when we asked if there was, and if we where, it would resolve most of the issues, but that is not the case. You spend a lot for a professional cake, and have high hopes. I was excited to start placing our wedding cake order ,but since this happend. We will not be ordering again. With all of this, I give a one star review.
