flavors. This was the perfect set up during the pandemic when normal tastings may not be as safe. The flavors we chose were incredible and the black cake was elegant. I was cautious when choosing a cake vendor because I worried about the black staining teeth, but through consultation I was informed black fondant would not stain, and they were right. Highly recommend!

t the wedding, the groom’s cake wasn’t quite what we had envisioned – we talked about a mountain landscape and she delivered what looked like a mossy sheet cake. The bride’s cake was supposed to have fresh berries and figs on top of the semi-naked frosting, but they used dried figs instead. Not to be dramatic, but the dried figs really changed the look of the cake and we didn’t get any heads-up that the decorations would be changing, so I was a little disappointed. The cake was still tasty and I’m sure that nobody else but me noticed the dried figs, but I was pretty excited about all of the fresh fruit. The caterers misplaced the rented cake stand at the end of the night and our coordinator could not find it. Cakes Rock ended up driving back to the venue to pick it up, which was not in their contract. That was great of them to do that and waive the late rental fee.

h ingredients (nothing from a mix) and the butter cream icing is divine. And I don’t normally like butter cream. They took the photos and paint chips that we brought in and delivered a beautiful cake. The sugar flowers were so intricate, many people did not realize that they were not real. Delivery was right on time and went smoothly. Since it was a small wedding without a planner, we were given instructions about cutting the cake and boxes for the top layer and extra cake. I wish I had more reasons to order cake.

nger Things styled shoot they created a Bitchin' boombox cake on a stack of waffles surrounded by glow sticks. UHMMM WHAT?!? They never fail to deliver and amaze everyone with their artistry. These cakes are so pretty you won't want to eat it! I can't recommend working with Cakes ROCK enough if you want a stunning cake to throw your event over the top! Thank you again!

Nothing is more fun than when you get to work with a vendor that loves what they do and when you feel like you speak the same language. Christy and team also do their due diligence with recipes and work in butter, which was important to my palette! They also created some adorable gluten free cupcakes to accommodate those guests that could not eat gluten! We definitely recommend Cakes ROCK! without hesitation and with great enthusiasm!

was in town, and that was a lot of fun. My husband (obviously fiance at the time) was coming in a few days later and wouldn't be able to make the tasting, so Christy even let us take all of the leftover samples (which there were a lot!) home so he could try them when he got in. After deciding to go with Cakes ROCK, we spoke with several of Christy's assistants to get the process going. I think it was a transitional time for Christy and her crew, so at times communication was off (the first assistant ended up leaving the company in the middle of the process due to personal reasons, and there were a few times we had to follow up with everyone to check on things), but overall, it was fine. Just before the big day, Christy and Shanna were great and communicated well with us. They delivered the cake on time and it was great. We had sort of an abstract concept for the wedding cake - we had our two colors airbrushed and meeting in the middle, with lace around the middle tier, and then quotes from nerdy movies all around it. Overall, it was perfect. A few of the quotes were off, and I didn't love some of the font choices, but Christy did explain without me even saying anything about them that she had to go with that style of lettering (rather than hand-painting like we'd hoped) because of the airbrushing - it would have bled. Which is understandable. The groom's cake was UNC themed (husband is a Tar Heel fan), and it was perfect. The cake flavors were AMAZING. We went with 3 - maple bacon pancake, nutella with chocolate chip cookie dough, and pecan praline. All of them were out of this world. Overall, we're very happy with how the cake turned out - it really was beautiful, and tasted awesome. Just don't be afraid to stay on top of communicating with them (particularly if your concept is a little out there, like ours), because they may take a bit to respond, but they will, and they'll always apologize for the delay. They're very popular, so it's not surprising that things are a bit hectic at times. But again, overall, loved it. Thanks, Christy and Shanna!

She was also totally happy with doing a gluten free cake layer for our many GF friends, as well as a delicious Italian Cream cake for everyone else. The final products were complete hits. She pulled off Jason's NES cake in a way that made all computer gaming geeks in the room happy. I also have it on good faith that the cakes were so tasty, people went back for seconds and thirds in order to try out the different flavors. We could not have done better with our cake choices!

We flew back from Seoul on 1/1 for the Austin wedding on 1/5 and Christy and her team had it all under control and in the middle of all the chaos with the flowers, planner, etc. they still managed to incorporate the flowers and greenery from our reception decor into the cake. asted amazing, the buttercream was the best I've ever had, and the design she did was just completely outstanding. Everyone talked about our cake at the wedding, because it was just that amazing. I wish I had ordered a bigger cake just so that I could eat more of it for weeks afterward--it was that good. Please hire this chick, she's cool as all get out and super down to earth.

-it doesn't get any better than that! She did our groom's cake which we served at the rehearsal dinner and of course, my wedding cake. The groom's cake looked like two Legend of Zelda books stacked on top of each other, and I swear, I cannot tell you how many times we had to tell people not to touch the books! They couldn't believe it was actually a cake! And then once they actually ate a slice (or two or three)--I still have people telling me weeks later how blown away they were by how delicious the cake was both nights. The theme of my wedding was Rivendell, and Christy did such an awesome job of just running with it. We had to do a smaller budger than I would have liked, but she was so excited about our theme that she really worked with our tiny budget! We went over a lot of different images on pinterest and some of the other elements that would be present, and then I told her to do what she wanted! She brought fun textures to allude to the forestry of Middle Earth, some of the architecture, fabric draping, and she made molds of some key props from the movies to showcase those as well. It truly was a work of art, and I am so happy we picked Christy and her team.

rot cake and it was amazing! We wanted a pretty simple cake but I wanted to surprise my husband with a USA rugby ball crashing into the cake and Christy did an amazing job with that! Unfortunately, the ball fell during the cocktail hour but I’m glad my husband got to see it before it happened. Christy was also kind enough to bring us some baked goodies while we were getting ready and they were also delicious! Could not recommend Cakes Rock enough.

weetheart too. You'll see what I mean when you meet her. Several months ago, my then-fiance and I met Christy at her shop to do a tasting and pick out the design. During our meeting I showed her a few Pinterest pictures of various cakes but mainly just told her what I had been envisioning and b-o-o-m, before I knew it she had drawn up a cake that combined everything I wanted in the most beautiful way possible. That being said I was still shocked when I saw the real thing on my wedding day. It was absolutely perfect and surpassed my highest expectations. All of my guests couldn't stop talking about it either! Basically, if you're looking for a cake baker (which I'm sure you are and that's probably why you're reading this) look no further! Christy is definitely your girl and easily the best choice for any couple looking to have a stunning cake that also tastes amazing. P.S.: Try the Black Velvet cake. You can thank me later. :)

didn't have an exact picture of the cake in our minds, so we decided to leave it to the professional and she did not disappoint! EVERYONE gushed about the delicious flavors (almond amaretto, coconut w/ Hawaiian filling, champagne with strawberry filling, chocolate stout) and even I loved them (I am not a fan of cake usually, but I LOVE hers!). We gave Christy our budget and let her run with it. She's great with communication and finds a way to make it all work! She made a huge 4 tiered cake along with a false tier that included Hawaiian tribal symbols while focusing on the floral aspect of the islands. Somehow she captured the theme perfectly and managed to include bling for me! The groom's cake was a volcano complete with all edible décor! I've never been to a wedding with memorable cakes, so it was very important to me that ours have them and we most certainly did! Christy also takes great care and pride in her work. Her recipes are all from scratch and she was even willing to work with the dietary needs (Gluten free) of some of our guests if needed! Our wedding was outside in the Texas heat so she gave instructions on care for the cake and made sure we watched it closely so it didn't melt. I can't say enough about Cakes ROCK and Christy. I'm so thankful that we found her and I would HIGHLY recommend her for EVERY EVENT!!! Oh and the tasting was the best I had been to. She gave us soooo many options and we got to pick some and then she added her own ideas as well. The cakes and fillings were all separate so we could test them out ourselves AND she gave us plenty to take home!!! AMAZING.

n as we got to her place we knew she was it. Our tasting was so personal, it was about 1-1:30 hours long unlike other places where it was at most 20 min long. She asked us tons of questions about our theme and what we were loooking for in our cake. But as soon as we saw her previous geode cake we just knew that was it. As we discussed the geode cake she began to actually sketch out what it would look like. We kept in contact all through out the wedding planning. I knew the cake was something I did not have to worry, she made us feel so reassured that our cake would turn out great. And so it did. Everyone just fell In love with out cake, so much so that it was published in the American Cake DecoratIng Magazine. We will never get over how amazing it was!

She was always amazing to work with and kept me updated about the progress whenever I asked . There truly is no one better at making cakes than Christy!

e artistry and execution of creating the cakes was absolutely PERFECT! We had a bit of a challenge for Christy, but she took it on like it was nothing and left us speechless! My husband and I are both Aggies and wanted his grooms cake to be the top of an Aggie ring. It's no simple task and most places we had prices were so far out of our price range, it wasn't even funny. Christy quoted us an EXCELLENT price, molded the ring top perfectly, and made it a TRUE color of gold (not some goofy dark yellow thing) that shimmered! We received so many positive comments on that cake and seriously couldn't have been happier with it ourselves! We looked forward to that cake from the time we signed the contract with Christy and it was absolute perfection!! Her talents know no bounds! And she certainly does NOT back down from a challenge! 3. Christy was as professional, kind, helpful, and fun as anyone can be! A true gem to work with and incredibly passionate about her work! My only regret is that we just moved out of state and won't be in Austin for our 1 year anniversary for Christy to create another scrumptious masterpiece for us!

Her price was also very competitive which was a plus! We received compliments on our cake from our guests even weeks after the wedding had passed! We received so many good reviews the night of our wedding that the day after our wedding we decided to go ahead and dig into the top layer that we were going to save for our anniversary ( because of course we didn't get to try much of during the wedding!) and wow we were glad we did!! That's ok, it just gives us an excuse to have her make us a fresh replica of it on our anniversary which we will absolutely do!! :-)

White chocolate mud is simply fantastic & so is her lemon pound cake. Pretty sure I'm going to be calling her for other various cake needs in the near future. sting. She is sweet, spunky, and funny and SO creative. We saw some of the cakes she was working on, and we were blown away by her artistic abilities. She made the few cakes and icings that we asked for, and then made a few others that she thought we make like as well. She went above and beyond to make sure we could taste anything we wanted. Christy was receptive to what we wanted but also chimed in with her ideas on what would look good, taste good (but without being pushy!) I sent DOZENS of emails to Christy with last minute updates, questions, concerns. She always responded in a timely manner, answered every question, acknowledged the changes, addressed my concerns and put my mind at ease each time. We trusted her opinion, and I am so happy that we did. The cakes turned out more beautiful and delicious than we pictured. Groom’s Cake: Cakes ROCK made both the groom’s cake and bride’s cake. The groom’s cake was sculpted to look like the University of Georgia English Bulldog mascot, and it was the most realistic bulldog cake I have ever seen. The amount of detail was unreal. it was incredible. The body of the bulldog was red velvet cake with cream cheese filling. The bulldog was laying on a vegan chocolate sheet cake with peanut butter cream filling (with crushed up Reese’s cups). The bulldog cake was a HUGE hit at the wedding. After the wedding, the pictures of the bulldog cake were shared on the internet more than 2,000 times in a single day! Bride’s Cake: The bride’s cake was more of the traditional white, round, four-tiered cake. Let me just say that each of Christy’s tiers are OVER 5” tall! She had stacked, overlapping ruffles on the bottom tier that faded from tiffany blue (that she matched perfectly to a fabric swatch I sent her) to white and the 3rd tier had the same ruffles. The 2nd (from the bottom) tier and the top tier had a criss-crossed ruffle design. The four tiers each had a different cake and filling: Vegan Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Filling, Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Filling, a Carrot Cake with White Chocolate Filling, and a White Velvet Cake with Amaretto Buttercream filling. All of the cakes flavors are extremely moist and packed with flavor. The fillings were so rich and sweet. I could go on and on about how amazing the cakes are, but in all honesty, you just need to book a tasting. They are delicious. The Follow Up: 5+ Stars! Most would think that their vendor would fall of the face of the earth after their job was done. This was not the case with Cakes Rock. She checked in with us to make sure we were happy with everything, and I really appreciated that. On top of that she did something COMPLETELY unexpected. My fiancé and I live up in GA pretty close to where she has family (about 1 1/2 hours away). When she came up to visit her family for the holiday, she brought us a Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Buttercream Filling, (the same cake that was in our wedding cake.) I could not believe how considerate she was for this. At the end of the day, I would recommend Christy and Cakes Rock!!! to anyone looking for a delicious and beautiful cake for their wedding day, child’s party, anniversary, anything. I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

I wanted a red velvet cake with white icing, a rainbow bow on top with the rainbow cascading down the corner of the cake. Now we had to change the plan several times based on cake size, weather and what not, but let me tell you....Christy was on it!!! I would highly recommend her company and all of my 120 guests would too!!!! Thanks Cakes Rock for making a great day, even more special!!!! And thanks for supporting our union. It meant the world to us!

kes Rock! did not disappoint. Her cake was truly a one of a kind work of art. Due to distance we didn't meet in person until the day of the wedding, but working with her over the phone and email was so easy. Even being a busy and forgetful Bride, Christy was always wonderful to talk to, eased my concerns and asked for information without being cranky if I couldn't respond right away. I would 1000% use her again. I sent her pics of my dress, the design of my overcoat (we had a steampunk theme) and of my top hat a friend had made. She was able to incorporate those elements into the cake in such a unique and amazing way! It was MY top hat and a corset, all done in my wedding colors, she even incorporated the butterflies and blue of my overcoat! The cake was simply spectacular. I had guests taking pictures of it until right before we cut the cake (which I almost hated to do because it was so beautiful). Then we had a bite and it TASTED AS GOOD AS IT LOOKED! My main priority was taste, I wanted something pretty but not if it tasted like cardboard like I'd had at other weddings. We had almost no cake leftover. We had three tiers- the bottom was chocolate cake with cookie dough filling (not actually but it certainly tasted like it); the middle was lemon (perfect flavor not too tart or sweet); the top layer was chocolate with peanut butter filling. The absolute only thing I would ever have changed was to have the bottom/biggest layer be lemon because everyone loved it the most- we had NO leftovers of the layer (and barely any leftovers of the other layers). Even the leftovers were awesome. We cut the cake into a few slices and froze the slices. My new husband and I shared a slice of the chocolate cake with cookie dough about a month after the wedding and it tasted better than many a cake you get right from the store. I even purchased a smaller groom's cake from Christy, with my favorite picture of my new husband on it. He loved it! It was chocolate with chocolate frosting, it was like eating a chocolate cloud (no leftovers of that one). It was so rich and just mouthwatering. I know many folks use words like mouthwatering and spectacular, but I've never meant them more than in this case. I would recommend Cakes Rock! to anyone I know who is getting married (in fact I actually asked Christy to leave several of her cards with me in case anyone asked and I ran out by the end of the night so many folks had wanted on). From the first phone call to her delivering the cake to us eating the cake, was just start to finish a wonderful experience. If you want a truly one of a kind cake that will exceed your expectations, call Cakes Rock. Almost forgot, Christy also worked within my budget and helped guide me in making choices that would not only be spectacular, but wouldn't break my bank account. She was upfront and honest the whole time regarding money, "if you want this, maybe you do this instead of this" kind of thing. I always felt she guided me help her achieve what I wanted and could afford rather than shooting me down based on budget. I don't think I ever heard her say that something wouldn't work without offering insight into an alternative solution instead. Use Christy and your cake will ROCK!

I could not believe the cake when we got to the rehearsal dinner. It was unbelievable!!! My son and his friends recognized the Dudeplex right away and were so cute pointing to the windows of their own rooms! I have continued to follow Christy through her Facebook page and continue to be amazed at her cake creations. They are truly works of art! And they taste wonderful as well!
