Cakes ROCK!!! is an amazing bakery and my wife and I could not be happier with the results of our beautiful wedding and groom's cakes. Christy and her crew absolutely exceeded our expectations for our cakes, she was even able to make a batch of gluten free nut free cupcakes for our guests. They worked with us every step of the way and helped us design our own personalized flavors and cake combinations. The crew did an amazing job and I cannot recommend them enough to anyone looking for a great bakery for a special occasion. The cakes tasted divine and looked incredible, we will definitely continue to hire this bakery for events going forward. My cakes came out perfect! Exactly what I wanted. The Groom's cake was German chocolate with ganache chocolate frosting and was truly amazing!! The Bride's cake was almond amoretto with buttercream frosting and raspberry filling. It was very good as well. Very happy with my wedding cakes!

Cakes Rock created our wedding cake and wow, our cake truly did rock! The entire process was seamless, from tasting cake flavors to day-of delivery and everything in between. Our cake was designed exactly how we envisioned and tasted incredible! Cakes Rock offers so many amazing flavors to choose from and was even able to make a delicious small GF/vegan cake on the side for us to accommodate our wedding guests with dietary restrictions. Cakes Rock rocks!! They prepared a 4 tier cake for my daughters wedding and it was delicious! Funfetti was her special request and they delivered! All cake and filling flavors are yummy! They were very easy to work with! Highly recommend!!

I have always wanted a funfetti cake for my wedding. This was one of the few places who offered it and I not be happier with our choice. Not only was the cake the best tasting we've ever had (all flavors included), but it was beautiful! Christy and her team took my idea and brought it to life in the most perfect way. I make jokes about how I love that cake almost as much as I love my husband. We have even started coming up with events just as an excuse to use them again. You have customers for life! WOW!!!! Can’t recommend Cakes Rock enough!!! They truly were incredible to work with. I’m gluten free and they made a fabulous 5 tier cake in 3 different flavors that was so delicious no one even guessed it was gluten free!! People loved it and it was gone so fast! The cake looked amazing and tasted even better! We did a rainbow- layered, lemon flavored cake with blueberry buttercream. In addition, we have an assortment of mini-deserts which gave plenty of options for our guests. Overall, we were really impressed with the quality and flavors from Cakes Rock!

Absolutely the BEST! We hired Cakes ROCK!!! for our wedding and grooms cake as well as cupcakes. Our cakes were sculpted cakes and they delivered more beauty than what we imagined. The cakes were breath taking and not to mention delicious! Everyone at our wedding gobbled up the cake so fast and had nothing but wonderful things to say. The staff is amazing and have great communication skills. Wonderful people!

Since we were out of the area it was important for me to have them quickly answering all my questions. THE CAKE was too fun and looked perfect. The flavors were so delectable and it served more than I ever imagined! FIVE stars for sure!

Austin was a destination wedding for us so we did not have any references for our cake. After speaking to a few bakeries we know Cakes Rock would definitely be the most attentive and the certainly were. We loved Cakes ROCK! They did a wedding cake for our daughters wedding and it looked amazing and was delicious. We did a plain ribbon icing detail with fresh flowers and they worked with flowers from our florist and designed a beautiful cake that fit with the rest of the flowers and decor. They were so easy to work with and did a fantastic job.

We had a positive experience from start to end with Cakes Rock. They helped us get in touch with another vendor that did another part of our wedding cake and it was phenomenal. The cake we chose was delicious and we wish we had eaten more of it while we had the chance.

The name says it all, your cake will certainly ROCK! Both of our cakes were the rock star of our wedding and tasted great! Mine was everything I wanted and more, with a cascading blue ombre design to look like the lake background of our wedding venue, and his Jet's Pizza cake in a box nearly stole the show! He's from Detroit, where Jet's originated, so he's the expert on what this type of pizza should look like, and he gave it double thumbs up and nearly cried when he saw it. I walked up thinking they just put a real pizza box at the bottom and not a cake-box style like we talked about, and I was about to get mad at my wedding planner for not checking this properly, until I got closer and realized it IS cake!! The box looked THAT real!! Christy and her team are at a different level of artistry, professionalism, and flavor profile than any other out there. I can contest to this as a former bakery business owner in a competing and larger city, my expectations are extremely high when it comes to everything that encompasses desserts, especially cakes....and WOW WOW WOW this place blew me away! It is one thing to make a beautiful cake, it's another thing to make it taste good, on top of my cake being vegan, which nobody knew by the way! It got demolished and I heard ran reviews from everyone. Cakes ROCK has so many vegan flavors, all that are wonderful. We got to try several in our tasting, vegan and regular flavors, and we knew immediately that this was the place for us. And we visited 4 different Austin bakeries, some highly ranked on this page, but nobody compares to Cakes ROCK! Christy and her team will go the extra mile in helping your vision turn to reality. They will reply promptly to emails and texts and accommodate you and provide stellar custom service from start to finish. There's not enough room here for me to elaborate more! If we lived in Austin area, they would be making our birthday cakes and party treats EVERY time! Love y'all and many thanks again!!

Christy is as fun and energetic as her cakes! We knew right away that we wanted to work with her and she and her team delivered on a very special request. We were unable to have our two dogs at the wedding so we asked her to fashion a golden retriever groom's cake modeled after our puppy Zeke wearing a Cowboys bandana. It turned out marvelous and was a huge hit at our wedding. Not only were the designs fabulous, but the cake flavors and frostings were absolutely delicious. We chose to go a bit non-traditional and couldn't have been happier. Her bourbon chocolate pecan cake and cinnamon churro are both to die for! We'd recommend Christy and her team at Cakes Rock!! to anyone.

We absolutely loved the wedding cake & groom's cake that Cakes ROCK created for us! They were as beautiful on the outside as they were delicious on the inside! We had requested an all-vegan cake and Christy and her team were kind enough to take the extra time to make sure we got the flavor profile we were looking for. They experimented and came up with a new recipe for vegan swiss meringue style buttercream for us that was absolutely amazing- so light and the perfect sweetness! And it paired so well with the cake and fruit compotes. We appreciate the hard work and kindness that they put into creating our dream wedding cakes and would highly recommend their services! :)

Dear JT & Christy! The Wedding cake for Julia and Evan’s wedding far exceeded our expectations! This Gluten Free cake was equally beautiful as it was amazing. I cannot tell you how many guests thought this was the best wedding cake and had no idea it was GF. Your delivery staff was so professional. Upon arrival they politely informed us our silver pedestal stand would be too unstable and kindly waited as we located another cake stand from our venue that he felt would hold the cake securely. JT was incredible and patient during my decisions on cake tasting flavors, to the cake size etc. Professional courteous and fabulous! My daughters instagram has a short video of the Groom tasting the cake and his reaction was Priceless!!! The wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! Christy absolutely nailed my vision for the cake. There was a slight discrepancy with the flavors and it appears that we had gotten an extra flavor (that we had not ordered). I didn’t realize this until my husband told me after we returned from our honeymoon. I contacted Christy and she immediately rectified the situation. My husband and I plan on ordering our anniversary cake from Cakes ROCK!!! It was that good. My guests loved the cake too! Christy was even on the Food Network’s Halloween Wars! Do yourself a favor and book Cakes ROCK!!! The raspberry cake is literally what dreams are made of.

We are in Houston and needed a cake for our daughter’s wedding in Dripping Springs. We had some photos of what she wanted and we sent them over. The cake was exactly as she dreamed. Each of the three tiers was excellent and it is hard to say what flavor was better. They were moist, not overly sweet and the flavors were balanced perfectly in each layer. We chose tiers of hummingbird, almond and cinnamon churro. The delivery was as promised, the floral was added along with the topper and it looked magnificent. We were really pleased with the entire process and they were so easy to work with. We can’t say enough good things and highly recommend Cakes ROCK!!!

We absolutely loved our wedding cakes from Cakes ROCK!!! When we had our consultation with them, we weren't really sure what we were looking for but they were very helpful and patient, and we were pleasantly surprised that we landed on an idea that very same day. The bridal cake was beautiful and unique - we asked for fresh flowers as part of the design and the team worked seamlessly with our florist to ensure that the cake was perfect. We also weren't originally planning on a groom's cake but we were so inspired by the pictures of their previous groom's cakes that we decided to add one to the order and it was a highlight of the night! We didn't just receive a beautiful and memorable wedding cake from Cakes ROCK!!!, we had a piece of edible art on display. We were very satisfied with the owners customer service and their ability to see a dreamy pinterest photo and make it real. Hands down the best cake provider in town. But it wasn't just gorgeous to look at, it was an amazing cake to eat! Everyone at our wedding loved it! A little on the pricey side, but well worth it. Where do I even begin?!! I had previously booked a different baker to do our cakes for our wedding. Let’s just say they were so rude and hateful to me. Then canceled my order telling me that I needed to find a new baker ONE month before the wedding. I’m pretty much the easiest person to work with but not them. But thank goodness for the team at Cakes Rock! They did an amazing job and blew it out of the water! They were so easy to work with and accommodating. My husband’s grooms cake was a surprise when they opened the fridge to show it to me I cried. Not tears of sadness but excitement. Both cakes were everything I asked for and more! I am so grateful for the Cakes Rock team! I will definitely use them in the future.

We did a simple black 1-tier cake with hummingbird cake and browned butter filling. Working with this company was a breeze. I was able to take my tasting home from Austin (where I work) back home to Houston so my fiancé and I could both try the flavors. This was the perfect set up during the pandemic when normal tastings may not be as safe. The flavors we chose were incredible and the black cake was elegant. I was cautious when choosing a cake vendor because I worried about the black staining teeth, but through consultation I was informed black fondant would not stain, and they were right. Highly recommend!

OMG!!! Our coordinator Ashley Moody recommended Cakes ROCK!!! to us. From when we did our tasting, we were OBSESSED! We ordered a two tier cake. Chocolate Stout with Browned butter filling, and Red Velvet with Almond Amaretto filling. OMG! The cake was INCREDIBLE! We also ordered these awesome snickerdoodle cookie cupcakes and cheesecake shooters. Our dessert table looked soooo good! Cakes ROCK really does ROCK!!! We would and will absolutely order from here again!

Cakes ROCK did an amazing job!! We got a two tier cake for cutting and four different flavored mini cupcakes for our guests and it all looked/tasted AMAZING! They were very helpful and quick when responding to emails. We also rented some cake stands from them and returning it was a super easy/quick process. Highly recommend!!

They made the most amazing cake for my wedding. It wasn't a typical wedding cake as we were married on Friday the 13th. We had a themed horror cake and it turned out way better then I could have imagined. Everyone loved the cake and it tasted so delicious we didn't have a single piece leftover! Also the price was so reasonable that it allowed me to have the dream wedding cake I always wanted!

They made an AMAZING cake for my husband’s surprise 50th birthday party! It was exactly what I wanted and delicious to boot!!

We used Cakes Rock for our wedding in November 2019. Delicious cake, fun cake tasting with Christy, and reasonably priced. At the cake tasting, we told Christy what we wanted for the bride and groom’s cake and sent pictures. When we showed up at the wedding, the groom’s cake wasn’t quite what we had envisioned – we talked about a mountain landscape and she delivered what looked like a mossy sheet cake. The bride’s cake was supposed to have fresh berries and figs on top of the semi-naked frosting, but they used dried figs instead. Not to be dramatic, but the dried figs really changed the look of the cake and we didn’t get any heads-up that the decorations would be changing, so I was a little disappointed. The cake was still tasty and I’m sure that nobody else but me noticed the dried figs, but I was pretty excited about all of the fresh fruit. The caterers misplaced the rented cake stand at the end of the night and our coordinator could not find it. Cakes Rock ended up driving back to the venue to pick it up, which was not in their contract. That was great of them to do that and waive the late rental fee.

Cakes Rock really does rock. It was a total pleasure to work with them! The entire process was remarkable. My daughter could not be there for the cake tasting, so I went in her place. There were plenty of flavors to taste. They use only fresh ingredients (nothing from a mix) and the butter cream icing is divine. And I don’t normally like butter cream. They took the photos and paint chips that we brought in and delivered a beautiful cake. The sugar flowers were so intricate, many people did not realize that they were not real. Delivery was right on time and went smoothly. Since it was a small wedding without a planner, we were given instructions about cutting the cake and boxes for the top layer and extra cake. I wish I had more reasons to order cake.

Chocolate Chip Cookie layered wedding cake tasted and looked amazing. However the edges were rock solid so we weren’t able to “cut our cake”. It was very beautiful but they had us pay $40 to add berries to our cake which was a little outrageous.

They were able to recreate a rustic wedding cake for my daughter's wedding. Beautiful and tasted great. Very easy to work with.

Christy is so talented and fantastic to work with - I would not have trusted anyone else with my wedding cake! Although I knew she is an artist and could do some amazing designs, I wanted a simple white cake with flowers - she was still thrilled to work with me. I wanted to make sure my cake tasted delicious, and was not just for show, and WOW did Christy deliver. I got 3 different cake and filling flavor combinations, and they were all absolutely delicious. Everything was made fresh and the cake was delivered to the venue so i didn't have to worry about a thing.

I have been blown away with Cakes ROCK not once, but TWICE now! It has been an absolute pleasure working with them for my Game of Thrones styled shoot which they created an epic dragon glass cake & symbols of each house. Our most recent, a Stranger Things styled shoot they created a Bitchin' boombox cake on a stack of waffles surrounded by glow sticks. UHMMM WHAT?!? They never fail to deliver and amaze everyone with their artistry. These cakes are so pretty you won't want to eat it! I can't recommend working with Cakes ROCK enough if you want a stunning cake to throw your event over the top! Thank you again!

Christy and her team are ROCKSTARS! We came to her with two very different styles of cake - one an elaborate floral cake with woodland theme and the other a very detailed groom's cake with many of my groom's fandoms represented (Dragon from D&D, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Princess Bride and Disney). Not only did the Cakes ROCK team execute the cakes beautifully and deliciously, they were EXCITED to do so! Nothing is more fun than when you get to work with a vendor that loves what they do and when you feel like you speak the same language. Christy and team also do their due diligence with recipes and work in butter, which was important to my palette! They also created some adorable gluten free cupcakes to accommodate those guests that could not eat gluten! We definitely recommend Cakes ROCK! without hesitation and with great enthusiasm!

WHERE TO BEGIN! We brought in an Awkward Yeti cartoon and they literally made the EXACT cartoon...out of cake! It was even better than we could have imagined and my favorite (edible) part of our reception! Don't hesitate to book these guys. On top of their talent in creating cakes, they are also amazing to work with in planning.

WOW! Christie’s artistry is phenomenal. Her talent, skill, creativity and professionalism is more than I could imagine. I presented her with what I thought was a beautiful photo of the bride & groom cake.... and she created something even more beautiful then my picture. The attention to detail was extraordinary! Her professionalism, these two which I could work with her, is remarkable! I cannot recommend hurt anymore than this.

I have worked with Cakes ROCK!! for several events at our downtown venues, so when I needed desserts for our Wedding Celebration, I immediately thought of them. I can't express enough how amazing the desserts were. I picked all of my favorites, snickerdoodle cupcakes, Cheesecake Lemon Shooters (all time fav!), Churro- Cake Parfaits and the Raspberry Motley Chews. We got so many compliments and people asking who did the desserts. Wish we would have had some cards on the table to make it a bit quicker to give out their information ;)

My husband and I chose Cakes ROCK for our wedding cake and our groom's cake. Overall, we're really happy with our experience. We live out of the state, so everything was done over email/text/phone. I scheduled the tasting with my parents when I was in town, and that was a lot of fun. My husband (obviously fiance at the time) was coming in a few days later and wouldn't be able to make the tasting, so Christy even let us take all of the leftover samples (which there were a lot!) home so he could try them when he got in. After deciding to go with Cakes ROCK, we spoke with several of Christy's assistants to get the process going. I think it was a transitional time for Christy and her crew, so at times communication was off (the first assistant ended up leaving the company in the middle of the process due to personal reasons, and there were a few times we had to follow up with everyone to check on things), but overall, it was fine. Just before the big day, Christy and Shanna were great and communicated well with us. They delivered the cake on time and it was great. We had sort of an abstract concept for the wedding cake - we had our two colors airbrushed and meeting in the middle, with lace around the middle tier, and then quotes from nerdy movies all around it. Overall, it was perfect. A few of the quotes were off, and I didn't love some of the font choices, but Christy did explain without me even saying anything about them that she had to go with that style of lettering (rather than hand-painting like we'd hoped) because of the airbrushing - it would have bled. Which is understandable. The groom's cake was UNC themed (husband is a Tar Heel fan), and it was perfect. The cake flavors were AMAZING. We went with 3 - maple bacon pancake, nutella with chocolate chip cookie dough, and pecan praline. All of them were out of this world. Overall, we're very happy with how the cake turned out - it really was beautiful, and tasted awesome. Just don't be afraid to stay on top of communicating with them (particularly if your concept is a little out there, like ours), because they may take a bit to respond, but they will, and they'll always apologize for the delay. They're very popular, so it's not surprising that things are a bit hectic at times. But again, overall, loved it. Thanks, Christy and Shanna!
