ing we knew we'd found the right vendor (the braised chicken is a MUST). In addition to providing an amazing menu for the buffet and passed appetizers, they worked with us to add some special touches that made the wedding feel more unique to us (hot apple cider for our outdoor ceremony in November, apple cider donuts for dessert, a boozy coffee bar after dessert, etc.) All of our guests raved about the food, including those with dietary restrictions, who Calla catered to and provided options that were just as good as the buffet. An added hurdle is that our wedding was at a venue without a kitchen, so Calla brought in their own cooking equipment. They also helped us rent tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, etc. It was such a relief to work with one vendor for so many different checklist items. We worked with co-owner Kim Livesey as our Day-Of Coordinator, and it was a phenomenal decision. We spend hours on phone calls picking out linens, rearranging table set-ups, and making a plan for the decor. With her team, she set and up and tore down all of our decor, so all we had to do was transport it to and from the venue. We are so grateful for their team!

In the weeks and months leading up to the wedding, the Calla team was communicative and made sure every detail was accounted for. Adding their day-of coordinator services was the best decision we made - Kim made everything run seamlessly on the day. There was a chance of rain on our wedding day, and she made sure we had the perfect backup plan in place so we didn't need to stress. Calla is the best in the business - hire them!

nned a large wedding in our backyard (~150 guests), and had the most phenomenal wedding day. We were on a budget and I would have LOVED to have been able to afford a wedding planner (and general contractor, and interior designer, and landscaper, and the like!), but my husband and I did everything ourselves. My wedding day was absolutely perfect and would not have been possible without the help of Kim, Francesco, Linda, and the staff of Calla Catering. Linda did an outstanding job with helping to plan my special day (cocktail hour, dinner, dessert, table linens, plates, utensils, tables, chairs, and the list goes on) and stay within my budget. Kim helped immensely with regards to coordination and keeping us on a timeline the day of. The days leading up to my perfect day and the hours prior to the ceremony were emotional and stressful - I very much appreciated Kim meeting me with my first beverage immediately after the ceremony and giving us a plate of appetizers before pictures. And the food! I had so many people tell me that we had the best wedding food they’d ever had. Numerous guests all said the same thing. Francesco set up his whole operation behind our house - the food and timing was impeccable. And the service! All of the waitstaff and bartenders were outstanding. Friends and family were talking about our wedding and reception for weeks afterwards. I would highly recommend Calla Catering to anyone.

de food, & we wanted that to be a huge factor in our wedding day. It was no question that we had to have Calla Catering for this reason! We love that they focus on fresh & seasonal, & our menu absolutely reflected that! Guests could not stop raving about the entire menu the whole night! Before our Ceremony, Calla Catering made an incredible hot mulled apple cider (our guests loved it since it was a bit chilly, & we had an outdoor ceremony!). Cocktail Hour, we had a plentiful charcuterie display & hand passed appetizers: Buffalo Chicken Wontons (a MUST HAVE!), Seared Beef Tenderloin Crostini, Three Cheese & Walnut Stuffed Mushrooms (incredible!!!), Arancini, & Sweet & Sour Fried Cauliflower (crowd favorite!). When guests came in for dinner, we started with bread & the Roasted Butternut Squash Salad. It was almost too pretty to eat & it tasted amazing, too! We offered our guests Slow Braised Short Ribs (it was SO delicious & definitely a comfort food!), Roasted Salmon with a Maple Apple Cider Glaze (yum!), & Vegan Stuffed Peppers, all served with mashed potatoes & a root vegetable medley. I swear, every single plate was cleared! We had so many guests complimenting the food & they all mentioned how impressed they were that the food came out HOT on the plate! With everything that was going on that day - pictures, visiting with family and friends, soaking in the day - I loved that the team made sure we ate. We had a platter of our appetizers brought to us during formal photos & during dinner, the team constantly checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves & even boxed up the rest of my meal for me to enjoy when I got back to my hotel! They also made sure to box up some of our desserts for us, too! Outside of the food, Calla Catering played a huge part in our day! They helped us coordinate our rental items, came to a site visit at our venue since they had never been there before (our venue had a lot of rules & documents they required from the caterer in order to work there - NO PROBLEM, Calla helped guide us & made sure everything was submitted!). They arrived the day of, set up everything exactly how I had envisioned it, & they really made sure that I didn’t have to worry about a thing! Even my vendors raved about the dinner they enjoyed from Calla Catering! They all mentioned how much they loved working with the team! During the night, I kept looking around seeing how full guests waters were, how clean the tables looked, how the staff just never stopped moving! I really felt like my goal was accomplished: to make our friends and family feel TREATED! At the end of the night, they stayed at the venue after my husband & I left and cleaned up everything! After being up since 7am to get hair & make up done, it was such a relief to know that they were tying up all of the loose ends & making sure that everything at the venue was squared away! That was such a huge help & relief off of my shoulders! Calla Catering made a HUGE impact on our wedding! We are so, so glad we had them be a part of our day! I know we will never forget how special it was because of their hard work & delicious food. g, Linda was responsive and professional - one of the few caterers I spoke to that called when she said she would and returned emails in timely manner. Our tasting was a dream and they were so flexible with our vision, even getting a waffle maker so we could have waffles! As the day got closer, Linda was there to answer my last-minute bridal questions and provide us with everything we needed. Our wedding was so perfect and I know a lot of that is due to the hard work of Linda, the Calla catering staff, and the work of their bar division, Cocktails. We also have been getting so many compliments on the food, from the main dishes down to the salad dressing! 10/10 would recommend. Thank you so much!

2020 when the world began to shut down and it was looking less likely that our wedding would be able to occur in May Calla worked with us to ensure that we secured a new date and that every part of the procedure of changing the date vs cancelling was laid out to us. Calla was extremely transparent throughout the process and nothing but helpful. Unfortunately, our original venue was not as accommodating, and we reached a stand still in negotiating a rate to move our date to 2021. Calla was once again available to us and gave us several other venues that they work with regularly to look into as at this point my husband and I had decided it was most important to ensure that we had Calla as part of our wedding day. We wound up working with another venue they recommended, and we had a beautiful day. Calla always had prompt follow-up with me for any questions I had and was very flexible with all the changes the pandemic brought even though I am sure it was a stressful for time for them as well as us. They seamlessly changed our date not once, but twice without additional charges and even accommodated us needing to change the number of guests from over 100 to 65. In terms of the food, everyone was giving me compliments throughout the night and in the weeks following our wedding. We decided on a taco bar which was buffet style. The buffet ran smoothly which was a huge concern for me, but Calla brought their expertise and kept things moving along. We chose to have dessert through them as well and did ice cream cookie sandwiches which were also a hit with everyone! They did a wonderful job cleaning up everything as I went back to pick-up decorations the next day and everything was neatly stacked and ready to go. I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am to have found such a wonderful company to work with and would not hesitate to recommend them to all my family and friends as well as use them again in the future for other occasions. Special shout out to Linda who was always so pleasant and my primary contact through most of the coordinating stage.

Well they did it all and I mean EVERYTHING! When we came across them we set up a tasting, we were blown away and booked them the next day. The food was outstanding everything was fresh and perfect for a summer wedding. We chose passed appetizers, the tropical shrimp was amazing, and a buffet dinner our guest loved the food and still are taking about it. Linda was truly my life saver she helped me with so much and answered my many, many emails graciously. She was by our side the whole wedding day making sure we got to eat everything and always had a drink in our hands and or course to keep the day flowing smoothly. The whole process with Calla Catering was smooth, professional and affordable book your tasting as soon as you can and get them on the books for your event!

With any small business, there are always areas of growth that are helpful to note. Calla is a small company with staffing being both behind the scenes and day of coordination. This means that in their peak busy time, communication was a bit more challenging. At times I did wish for a bit more communication and information about options. For example, for in house linens I was not given any images to select from but rather asked "what color do you want?" As any couple planning a wedding knows, pink can mean different shades all together. Eventually, I was able to get a mock photo of the table set up and all was well. Don't be afraid to ask early on in the process to see all of your options! Overall, we had a great day and a pretty smooth planning process! If you are an engaged couple that is organized, likes to be creative with planning, and really makes the wedding your own, Calla is a great caterer for you! Calla is also great with creative venues that will bring a wedding to life!

ere the most flexible vendor during COVID and worked with us through every COVID guideline change and postponing our wedding. After our wedding everyone kept asking us who our caterer was because the food was SO fantastic and creative. They made the plates and signs look so pretty that all of our friends instagrammed it! They worked with our guests complicated food allergies and our likes and dislikes and came up with the most delicious, beautiful, and unique plates. Down to the extravagant tasting they held in our wedding theme for our whole family, they didn't miss any tiny little detail throughout the whole experience. I could not recommend them highly enough.

We were served four varieties of hors d’oeuvres, buffalo chicken wontons (MUST HAVE), spicy beef empanadas, seared shrimp, and sweet & sour cauliflower. Everything was so mouthwateringly delicious that I want to throw myself another party just to have these appetizers again! Our dinner menu consisted of roasted pork tenderloin, slow-braised chicken, butternut squash ravioli (ANOTHER AMAZING CHOICE), herb roasted potatoes, roasted root vegetables, and a crisp apple salad. The food in itself was so amazing that I will definitely be hiring Calla Catering again for any other events I need to be catered to. From the very beginning, Linda and her very talented team at Calla Catering were amazing. Everyone was extremely professional, easy to work with, and super friendly and polite. Being a crazy COVID bride, it was great knowing I could always reach Linda with any questions or concerns. We chose to work with them and their partners for our linens and rentals as well. Calla worked alongside our wonderful day-of-coordinator, Blair Mtchem in setting all of these details up for us. When the big day finally came, the venue looked amazing. Everything from the way they set the guest tables and buffet tables, to the way the food and dessert displays were, looked beautiful. Having a wedding during covid was not easy and we compromised on almost everything so we could keep our day. My (now) husband had been to a wedding last summer and thought the food was great, so when we found out it was Cava who catered and helped with coordination and planning services, we decided to work with them for our own upcoming wedding. Kim walked us through everything we needed to be thinking about, choices we needed to make, and took care to guide us along the way with options that would fit our budget. Cava helped to coordinate staffing, rentals, bar orders, set up and breakdown and worked with the venue to make sure everything ran smoothly. Even when they ran into inevitable challenges (some rentals showed up late) the Cava team worked to find impromptu solutions so that we didn’t have to worry about a thing and our timeline stayed on track. Kim was our day of coordinator and we couldn’t have done it without her! She was calm, organized, and was super on top of all the moving pieces, and made sure everyone enjoyed a seamless experience. The staff at our wedding went above and beyond to be helpful, nice, and attentive. Our guests are still telling us how much fun they had, and especially how delicious the food was! We had the bonus of getting to eat yummy leftovers for days afterwards, feeding our out of town family members as well!

rking with Cava...they held a beautiful private food tasting for us about 6 months before the big day- complete with a gorgeous presentation and a glass of wine :) On the day of our wedding, which was held at my childhood home...the friendly staff set-up quickly, cleanly (if thats a word?), and in such a stress-free manner (which is hard to do when they're workspace was in my parent's garage!!) THE FOOD Apps/Small bites were a 10/10 !! the crowd favorite was a the buffalo chicken wontons and the mini grilled cheese squares in a tomato soup shot...The staff were detail-oriented in revisiting people who had favorites in the snacks they were passing out- also, while my husband and I snuck away for a photoshoot during cocktail hour, one of the staff members brought over a beautiful tasting tray of all the appetizers for us to try (because who isn't starving after all that planning and the ceremony?!) It was so thoughtful and so insanely delicious. DINNER was beautifully displayed- steak/chicken piccata were amazing and my FAVORITE, the butternut squash ravioli YUMMM...I made sure to have my mom set aside an extra plate of the food for my husband and I to enjoy for breakfast the next day (LOL, it was that good) we went for a side of grilled veggies which were perfection..and a few other sides that all wowed our guests. The waiters were SO attentive, so helpful, and friendly, without distracting from conversation or the flow of the evening. Quick note- Kim Livesy, our on-site coordinator- was a true MVP of our day and made everything go so seamlessly! IF YOU WANT AMAZING FOOD, FRIENDLY STAFF, AND STRESS-FREE VENDOR...Choose Cava!! 10/10!!!! Thank you Cava!!!.

We got married in a library and a historic home -- which is not traditional -- but Kim and her team accommodated moving everything from one building to the next, directing guests, and not letting anything seem like it was stressful at all. A few things stand out: 1. Kim and Linda found me and my husband toward the end of our photo session to bring us food and ask if we wanted to extend cocktail hour to see our guests. This was so greatly appreciated! Also, Linda designed signs for the specialty drinks and desserts along with our library theme so the signs looked like library cards. We were not expecting this at all and it really makes you appreciate the special Cava touch. Throughout the whole process, Kim was attendant to our budget, our needs, and our questions about the process. All of my guests RAVED about the food, and I am so happy there were a few leftovers so I could have more to. Other than the dress, spending money on Day of Coordination was the best money I spent on this wedding! I could not have imaged a more perfect day and it's because of Cava. 1 million times recommended.
