Absolutely amazing catering. I would recommend over and over again. It's difficult to condense just how much helpful Kim and team were but here are my top reasons:
1) Day of Coordination. I purchased the day of coordination as part of my cater...ing package and it was by far the most useful purchase in my whole wedding. Kim helped me organize all the vendors on my wedding day-calling them before hand to confirm arrival dates, directing them on where to set up, coordinating when and where they should be. She also helped me resolve vendor issues (incorrect tent setup, lighting disagreements between vendors, etc. ). These are just some of the things I was aware of; I'm sure I'm missing out a laundry list of other things she and her team had to deal with. All I had to do on my wedding day was show up. Kim helped organize my family and guests to where we had to be and when seamlessly. My husband and I even had time to drink and eat which was only possible because of how well everything was run.
2) Food. My guests kept raving about the food during and after the wedding. The appetizers bites were not only delicious but also interesting (i.e., seared tuna). The food was really the reason why I picked Cava in the first place. They were the best vendor with food that was interesting (asian twist, fresh seafood, unique sauces) and reasonably priced. The entree was where the food really shined. The chef cooked every single filet mignon perfectly. This was especially impressive given the limited nature of the kitchen at our venue. Despite the small and under resourced kitchen, the team was about the bring out the food perfectly cooked and on time. Our guests kept bringing up how delicious the food was even after the wedding.
3) Simplicity. I was the type of bride that wasn't overly excited about the wedding planning process. I just wanted my wedding done right with limited and concentrated effort. Other vendors wanted to talk on hours about how my husband and I met, our dream theme, etc, etc. Kim and team were extremely understanding of my wedding planning style. I wanted to condense all the decision making in one step, complete it, and have it executed properly. I only needed two trips to the vendor: one for the food tasting and the second for the rentals. Kim and Linda helped me make all the necessary decisions efficiently on these limited trips with minimal back-and-forth communication. When I did have questions, all I had to do was email Kim and Linda and they got back to me quickly with a solution. The payments process was also extremely transparent and simple. I received my quote with easy to understand details on what cost what and payment schedule that was completed easily through an online portal. There was a) no extra fees, b) absolutely no surprises, and c) clear line of sight on what was required of me when. We ended up paying exactly the amount/person originally quoted to us.
4) Friendly staff. Everyone was so kind to us in the process. The servers and bartender were extremely friendly and willing to help out where needed. Kim and Linda were extremely helpful in the process. When I failed to recognize a detail, they helped inform me without making me feel stupid. When I couldn't make a decision, they guided me with advice while still making me feel in control. With them, I really did feel like this was my wedding and they did everything to make it perfect and memorable.
