I also needed a last minute pair of earrings (a borrowed pair didn’t work out) and so I came by and they helped me select a gorgeous pair that they were able to get in a week! I couldn’t believe it. I can’t reccomend this shop enough.

you go in to look or purchase a dress is very pleasant, once they make the sale, it is absolutely terrible. I have never experienced such terrible customer service and it is something you should never have to deal with as a bride with 1000 other things going on. When my dress came in I went to pick it up and it was so tight that they could not get it up and we had to fight to zipper it. I could not breathe and could not walk correctly. The girl helping me was not the girl that sold me the dress. When I asked her what we should do because it is too tight she said "well you signed the contract so we can't do anything." I saved for months to buy my dress and that really broke my heart that they could care less that it clearly did not fit. (I have always been between a size 2-4 and actually lost weight in the time that they ordered my dress.) They were insistent on ordering me a 0 according to my measurements for that designer and assured me that it could be let out in the thigh area where I measured bigger. I of course trusted them because they are supposed to be the experts. I called for 3 weeks trying to get the girl that sold me my dress (Emily) on the phone and she said that since I took the dress there is nothing they can do (the first girl told me I had to take it from the store), but Emily assured me that it could be taken out up to a size 4 in that area. So I altered it and still, it was too small. We tried again to get Emily on the phone, spoke with other people such as Frances who made my mom cry on the phone because she was so nasty about the situation. Never once did the owner of the store reach out to see if there was anything that could be done even though I emailed her and called the store many times. They only offered me fabric to try making the dress bigger once I contacted the designer. The designer's office also wondered why Calvet did not just order my a 0 in the top and a 2 or 4 on the bottom if I had measured that way since that is something the designer could have done. Or why they did not just send it back since they would have taken it if it was not altered. At the end of the day, they offered no help, dodged my calls, and were flat out rude and stuck up. No apology, nothing. Just defensive from the start. They only offered after I called the designer when it was WAY too late and show zero dignity or compassion in the work that they do. They had the audacity to blame my seamstress when this whole problem could have been resolved right when I picked up my dress in the first place. I could go on and on about the series of events that happened to lead me to writing such a review, but I honestly just want other brides to know so that this does not happen to them. I wish I read the reviews because there are so many other women that said the same thing about Calvet; they make the sale, then do. not. care. about. you. There are so many shops out there that care about the customer and in this day and age that is what makes the difference. If I could go back in time I would go any of the other 100+ stores in the Orlando area and would never want anyone to go through what I did. If everything goes perfectly, great. If it doesn't, you are 100% on your own resulting in so much extra stress and money. Do not buy your dress from here.

this bridal salon was just so spacious and bright and cheerful and really is the perfect atmosphere to find your dress. They also recommended an amazing alterations place for me (Thread & Needle in Winter Park).

d the counter never asked my name but had me fill out an appointment card. Once I did, she asked what I was thinking and when I expressed I wasn’t quite sure what style of dress I wanted she told me to look around and let her know what dresses I would like her to pull. After quite a while of her attending other groups in the store, my sister had to go get her to help us pull some of the dresses and set up a dressing room. In her defense, she was very pleasant, but once I had a dressing room she did not help me at all to get in and out of the dresses, hang them up, and most times I had to walk out of the room holding the dress up before she would clip me into it. While we were there we also witnessed a bride at the counter very upset, speaking to the sales associate assigned to me (and three other brides at the same time) explaining an issue with the dress she purchased from them. The sales associate very bluntly told the bride there was nothing she could do to help her. I have been to several bridal salons with other brides, and if I am being completely honest the level of service at David’s Bridal far surpassed this higher end bridal salon. To top things off, I did find a beautiful dress but because of the service level, I was hesitant to purchase. The attendant did offer to write it down for me, but after leaving and upon further research the dress she wrote down was the entirely wrong model and style. After that discovery I am so thankful I did not order from here as I probably would not have received the correct dress.

l very flattering. They even customized the top of my gown to give me more coverage, which no other shop offered to do for any of the gowns I tried on. Emily and Alexandra were beyond helpful and guided me to the perfect dress without being pushy. I can't recommend this place enough if you want a boutique experience and a dress that everyone else isn't wearing!

ention. A wedding dress is a huge investment and for someone paying thousands of dollars, I was not treated that way at Calvet Couture. First off, employees were dealing with multiple brides at one and getting anyone's attention proved to be a challenge. Second of all, the veil was priced wrong and when we got to the register, we were told there was nothing they could do. Even if that's the case, a credit of some sort on the dress would've been acceptable and was never followed through. If that wasn't bad enough, the store got my email wrong and instead of calling me too, I was unaware my dress had even arrived. No one was unpleasant or hard to deal with. I was just disappointed.

at another location a few hours away. I called twice to confirm the dress would be in store for my bridal appointment. I go to my appointment and they did not have the dress. Now this dress was “the dress” for me so it was a big deal. They overnighted it and I had to come back the next day. They gave me a discount and I could forgive the mishap but it continued. When I came in the first time they offered champagne and I never got it. When I came the next day they offered champagne and never got it. When I came in a third time to actually purchase the dress no beverages or champagne offered. I have to admit I didn’t care for some of the consultants. Some were really nice but the others quite snobbish and not very helpful. When I picked up my wedding dress I wrote down the information of my bridesmaids for the dresses they were to order. They don’t carry the brand anymore but my consultant confirmed with the owner it would still be fine as long as they ordered a dress still on the website. My bridesmaid called and told them they couldn’t do it anymore. I called in and spoke with Kelly and she told me the same thing. I told her about all of my terrible experiences but all she said was sorry and I don’t think she was really all that sorry. At this point I’m livid and I just hung up. I completely regret purchasing my dress from the shop. Of all the wedding vendors I’ve dealt with they are by far the worst and I wish I had gone elsewhere. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

My fairytale of a dress was now tainted and I personally feel taken advantage of. And instead of receiving any sort of apology or acknowledgement that this dress was not up to par, my family and I received attitude and straight out avoidance from the owner. I highly recommend you reconsider taking your bridal needs to this boutique.

Emily took almost three hours helping us and her and her sister Sarah were the sweetest! They were honest, patient, and overall the whole at atmosphere of the store was fun and laid back. My best friend just got engaged and booked her appointment to come here, and I can’t wait to go back.

do the alterations due to the extent of damages that were on the original dress. After going back on two different occasion the staff refused to work with her or her mom what so ever. Brides, as a husband to be, the experience at this place has truly made the wedding planning experience tainted for my fiancé. I highly recommend you think twice in taking a chance on a place that has put a girl in the same stage as you in this predicament. It’s not worth it.

me with the wrong veil. Getting it fixed has been an annoying experience thus far. As I have been told three different days to come in and pick up my veil just to have them tell me that it wasn’t in the store yet. My entire experience had been great up until this point. I would recommend buying your dress there but be mindful of ordering a custom veil.

After briefly explaining where the VERY limited supply of bridesmaids dresses were, we were left alone and never checked on again. We walked out of the salon after trying on some dresses and non one even stopped us. About an hour after the appointment I received a call that I had "missed my appointment" but I could "come by later since the salon was empty". No one had even recorded that we had been in. The customer service is abhorrent and I will not be recommending them to anyone. Especially since their gowns are ridiculously overpriced.

Calvet had no responsibility of the dress at this point but they made sure that all Calvet brides that had dressed at the location were called and arrangements made for us to get our dresses. rom another shop in Orlando so that I couldn’t wear it on my wedding day. I went into Calvet on the Tuesday before my wedding (which was on Saturday), frantic and panicked, looking for a dress. The stylist that was there, Emily, listened to my story and was so calm and immediately went to work looking through their inventory of samples for dresses that would work for me. She helped me to find the most gorgeous Liancarlo dress, then arranged for 24-hour dry cleaning and alterations services. In addition, the girls at Calvet brought my dress to the dry cleaners and then picked it up and brought it to the seamstress, so all I had to do was show up for the fitting! What service! I felt beautiful in my dress and got so many compliments on it. I am SO glad I ended up getting a dress from Calvet. My situation could have been disastrous, but all the ladies at CCB worked to make things turn out perfectly for me! Seriously, go to Calvet. It is the best!

absolute dream. Had she not told me that it was her first day on her own as a consultant, I never would've known! She gave me many options to choose from based on the style I thought was best for me. I asked her to pick out one dress that was the opposite of what I thought I wanted and it ended up being the one I chose! My Legends Romona Keveza gown that I wore on my wedding day is absolutely stunning and it fit me like a glove. I am grateful for Shannon and the staff at Calvet Couture, as I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

On my way, we got stuck in standstill i4 traffic, and they were very understanding and let me use the remainder of my appointment with no hassle or guilt-trip for the tardiness. Emily helped me feel comfortable and was so knowledgeable about what we could do for alterations, the fit, and which bustle I would prefer. She had a cheerful answer for every question, and was happy to help me put on the final choices once again later that day when we came back. I found my dream dress here, and I'm so excited to be a Calvet Bride!

t 8am and the event was listed as 8am to 6pm. It also said that brides would be helped on a first come, first served basis (meaning no appointments). We walked in around 11:30am and immediately felt like we were unwelcome. My sister approached the counter and said she had found the sale online and wanted to look at some dresses. There were maybe two couples in the store and no one trying on dresses. She was told by a blonde clerk (I wish we got her name!) that she needed an appt. My sister politely replied, "oh, I'm sorry. I thought I read that there were no appointments for the sale.". She rudely replied, "well that was this morning and that has ended". She continued to tell her she wouldn't be allowed to try anything on but could look and write down and come back another day with an appointment. My sister kindly thanked her despite how rude she was. She began to look and I watched another lady, maybe a manager say something to her. Her body language gave off that she was annoyed with whatever was said as she walked to my sister and told her that it might be possible for her to try something on if she saw something and that the sample dresses were still available on the other side of the store. She then asked my sister her budget and as she told her she wasn't sure yet, maybe $1000 or more but she really had no idea as this was her first look at dresses. She was told, "well you DEFINITELY need to be in the sample sale and not here." My sister politely said she wanted to look where she was first. The woman then rudely says, "well I'm just going to let you look because you seem to know what you're looking for" as she's walking away annoyed. My sister NEVER replied unkindly to this woman despite how rude she was and clearly judgemental. We are more than able to pay for any dress in that store but they will never get business from us after the way we were treated. You would think that with a store that had more employees than customers at the time, they would have bent over backwards to help her find a dress but they had no interest. I can't fairly speak about the other employees that were there today because they didn't really step in, but this young lady was the most stuck up employee I've ever encountered and does nothing for this business. I was in retail management for over ten years and know all too well you're as weak as your weakest employee.

Alexandra did an excellent job suggesting various gowns that were similar to the styles I envisioned wearing but also encouraged me to consider dresses that were different than what I had in mind. The dresses are grouped by price and Alexandra and her team are quick to let you know if you're venturing into an area that's out of your budget. This truly made me feel like they had my best interest in mind and wouldn't let me fall in love with a dress that was ultimately out of my price range. My appointment happened to be on the weekend of an Amsale trunk show and one of the gowns immediately caught my eye but I was hesitant because it was nothing at all like all the others I'd tried. Alexandra instantly noticed my reaction to the dress and pulled it for me to try on. As soon as I put it on I loved it but was nervous to show my family and friends because it was so different than all the others. Alexandra had me stay in the dressing room for a few moments to really admire the dress and asked me several questions about how it felt and what I loved and didn't like about it. As I walked out to model the dress, she quickly announced to my family and friends that it was one of my favorites and all the things I'd told her I liked about it. When you have several people offering their opinions, it's so nice to have the boutique owner to remind you that the only opinion that matters is your own. Though I loved the gown, it was one of my first appointments, and I decided I wanted to continue to shop around. No other boutique I visited offered the experience or level of customer service and I found myself comparing every dress to the Amsale gown. Since I'd found the dress during a trunk show, it was not one Alexandra regularly kept in her store however when I called her to tell her I wanted to try it on again she quickly offered to have the sample sent back for me to try. After that second visit I knew it was my dress! After taking my measurements, she suggested the size I should order and I was a little nervous as it was smaller than I would have picked. TRUST HER! She knew exactly what she was doing and when the dress arrived (very quickly, I might add) it fit almost perfectly and needed very few alterations. I truly feel like my Amsale Demi gown was made just for me. I'm still receiving compliments from my wedding guests and I am so grateful for Alexandra and the Calvet Couture team for helping me find the dress of my dreams!

e Bridal online. They were having a sample sale the following weekend and so I decided to make an appt. From the moment I walked in the door it was such a pleasant experience. I explained to them about purchasing a different dress but not being satisfied. (I was now less than 5 months before my wedding) Sarah (who is AMAZING) showed me some dresses that I would be able to rush order and get in on time. They were very straight forward about which dresses were able to be ordered and which weren't. I also looked at the sample dresses. (There was a huge selection!) After trying on a one shoulder gown, the owner of Calvet (Alexandra) came over and put a sash to add just a small pop to this dress... I FELL IN LOVE! I ultimately rush ordered a dress AND bought a sample dress. I couldn't be happier with my decision to have two dresses for my wedding day!! After my first dress came in I went back and decided to order my veil as well. In the end I ordered two dresses, a veil, earrings and a bracelet. It all came together so perfectly and it wouldn't have been possible with the ladies at Calvet Couture Bridal!! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for such an amazing experience. No bride will be disappointed when they come to see you.

appointment. Immediately, Sarah jumped in and started pulling dresses and setting me up the dressing room. We chatted, laughed and she made the whole experience amazing! She even offered to turn the air cooler because you know it can get hot trying on all their beautiful gowns. We shared wedding ideas, vendors and her warm personality allowed me to be myself and remember this day as one of my favorite days. I ended up finding 4 dresses that I LOVED! Sarah offered her input, would tighten the dress so I could envision it with alterations and helped it narrow it down to 2! She literally took her time, stayed patient and was sweet as can be! After taking votes we ended up going with the MOST beautiful dress and I couldn't be happier! I will only recommend calvet to all my friends and family! I cannot say enough things about their store, Alex and Sarah! Ps: they also carry gorgeous bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses and more! And the girls there have the BEST helpful advice with colors, dress styles and wedding ideas! Thank you Sarah for making my wedding dress experience a day to remember :) Xoxo Amy

My consultant Rebecca was very friendly, gave me great advice but still let me be in control of the appointment and what dresses to pull and try on. She really listened to what I liked and didn't like and on only my 5th dress ever she customized a dress so perfect for me I couldn't find one aspect I wasn't in love with! After I "said yes to the dress" her, the incredible owner, and other lovely staff brought my party champagne to celebrate and took as many pictures as we wanted! HIGHLY recommend Calvet Couture!

I bought the third dress I tried on (Alexandra pushed me to "just try it" and she was SOO right!). Not only did I buy my dress, but also my jewelry, veil and all my bridesmaids dress. Pricing is phenomenal, reasonable and appropriate for the quality of dresses. I urge you to make a dress appointment with Calvet Couture, as I think anyone can find the dress and shopping experience they are looking for here. Thank you Alexandra for all of your help and making sure that my Mom, Sister and I had a truly memorable and positive shopping experience to treasure for a life time!

anted to check out all my options, so I then visited lots of other places in town before coming back to Calvet Couture. The service and experience were great, but for me it was really all about one thing: the dress. Compared to all of the others I tried on, it just couldn't be beat. The quality of the fit, construction and material are top-notch. I ended up getting a 10% discount and a complimentary beaded belt as part of my purchase - amazing! It made me feel like I was getting good value for my money even though I was spending a lot. I know the investment was well worth it and I'm going to feel amazing on my wedding day. Alexandra has great style, so you know that everything she carries is a good option. She has a ton of knowledge about each dress and provides lots of helpful tidbits about them as you try them on (type of lace, details on the train, fit of the bodice, modifications you could consider). She's also a great resource to help you style your entire wedding day look. In most other salons I visited, the stylists would just put kind of arbitrary accessories with the dress I had on. I didn't feel like they had a real vision for the entire look, while Alexandra really knows what she's doing. Again, I feel like the stuff she carries is really fashionable and different from what every other store has. The prices, while higher than some other local shops, seem to be very reasonable for the designers you'll find. Comparatively, some of the other high-end retailers in Orlando mark up their prices astronomically. I felt like my money got me a lot at Calvet Couture and really appreciated the level of service and attention to detail Alexandra provided. Definitely recommend!
