Long story short, everything since the purchase of my dress has been a nightmare. It took them five months to get my dress in store when they said it wouldn't take very long, and now I won't get my dress back from alterations until two days before my event. I had to call their store for a month to get them to give me my dress, they ordered custom sleeves for my dress and they weren't ready when I went for alterations so now I'm wearing a strapless dress when that's not what I wanted at all. I have left multiple voicemails and no one cares to call me back. No one picks up the phone. To get any answers I have to show up in store (not a convenient drive for me but it's the only way anyone will speak to me).
I've been in customer service for over 10 years, and I know that accidents happen. But when they happen, there's usually an apology and an effort to fix it. Ashley does not care about her customers once they have purchased their dress. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else

tle communication from the shop. They do not proactively reach out to update you. All the dresses we got were there days after the "latest arrival date." And lord knows you cannot contact the shop. No one is there to pick up their one phone line most of the time. The voicemail is often full. And sometimes.... it's just not set up! Also, there is no email you can reach anyone at. Well, there is, but they don’t make it public. So, if you're anxiously awaiting your dresses, don't expect to be able to follow up with the shop and get details easily. Their hours are very few and far between and there was a point where they were closed for a few days randomly in January.
Also, the dresses that were supposed to be overnighted to my bridesmaids where somehow “held” for days at a FedEx location that doesn’t expedite?!? And when trying to figure this whole thing out, the owner continuously called me the wrong name. Get to know your clients, we are your bread and butter.
I'm sure they're busy and have a lot going on, but when you're dealing with weddings and brides, you've got to be on your game. Communication with clients is KEY. The dress shop options in ventura county are pretty limited, the shops are small, and for those of us with full time jobs, going out of our way to LA or SB is not an attractive option. So sticking local is nice and what I prefer to do, but I feel like they take advantage of the fact that they are one of the few ventura county options.
In the end, perhaps we should all try to disrupt this ridiculous wedding industry by not allowing these shops to up sell and stress us. Wherever the dresses are being made and shipped from, it's not worth it. I wish I had gone with my gut and ordered from ModCloth for myself and my bridal party because this strife is not worth it for one day. I like my dress, it's beautiful, but all the shop does is order it. They are an inefficient middle man.

I was certain I wasn't going to like myself in a "bride's" style because of my dislike for the traditional, but I wanted to go through the dress trying tradition anyways. I planned to go lone-wolf and then my fiancé had the opportunity to join. We immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. It's an open boutique with a cutesy rustic feel. The dressing rooms are sizeable and the couches for guests are comfortable. The selection of dresses is varied and beautiful. I picked the first dress I tried on and it was one that she recommended! I left and went to Davids Bridal and had an absolutely horrible experience. I went back to Camarillo that same day after calling and they stayed open after hours so that I could purchase the dress. They also packaged it up and sent it to Nashville for me so that I could enjoy the rest of my vacation. They ordered a new overlay and corset straps and mailed those to me as well. I got a few emails and letters from them in the mail making sure I had everything I needed. I felt like a princess from the minute I walked in!! My cousin is getting married soon and we plan on making that our one and only stop! Thanks so much to the entire team at Camarillo Bridal!

reasonable. They say only 2-3 guests are allowed to come with you to the appointments. I'm not sure of anyone that can abide by this rule, I certainly couldn't. They accommodated easily, as there is plenty of room for more. I'm sure it's to control the noise level, but still, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them because I have 4 sisters, a mom, and future in-laws that wanted to be there for the big moment I found my dress (which I did!)
The hesitation I have with this shop is the service I received several times over the phone, with different employees. The experiences weren't terrible, but definitely made me feel flustered. They are wonderful once you get there, but it can be difficult to make an appointment. Only one person schedules, so if she is helping someone else or just not there, you can only leave a message with the employee who answered. It took about 3 rounds of phone tag to get on the schedule.
Anyways, overall I would use them again! The selection was great for bridal gowns.

Pebbles Bridal had a cheaper price than Camarillo Bridal and when asked if Camarillo Bridal matches other stores prices they responded by saying the prices are already set and every store sells at the same price. So if you are looking at a store with cheap prices don't go to Camarillo Bridal, but if you looking for a place that has a great set up for trying on gowns and works with you to find the dress you want (I combined multiple styles of the same designers to create my dress and it did not cost extra) they are perfect.

le to use this business to successfully obtain a dress, it's all good. However, there are definitely some areas where they could have done better. First, measurements. A couple issues here led to my dress being too big. To start with, they measured me over my clothes- jeans and a sweater. Then they recommend that you order the size dress that corresponds to your largest measurement, because it's easier to take than let out. That makes sense, but if you are being measured over your clothes and are just barely one size bigger based on one of your measurements, you probably should not order the bigger size. I should have listened to my instincts, but I listened to the stylist instead and my dress was way too big. (Luckily I found a good seamstress to take it in.) The second issue was with my veil. First, when they gave me my veil, it was crumpled up in plastic. No, this didn't actually hurt it, but when you're being handed the veil for your wedding day that you've paid $140 for, you don't really want to see it all balled up and wrinkled. I mean, maybe at least fold it neatly? Second, my veil was two layered, and the one I actually got was far, far fluffier than the sample I had tried on. I didn't realize this until I got it home (since it was just crumpled when I picked it up it was hard to tell). When I contacted them about it, they seemed really unconcerned. They were just like, yeah, our samples are really broken in so they are softer. I pointed out they might want to warn people that the samples don't necessarily represent what they will actually be getting. They agreed, but didn't offer any real solutions to the problem of my veil. So I cut the top layer off. Problem of over-fluffiness solved. Anyway, bottom line: nice people, nice dress, everything turned out fine in the end, but not the luxury bridal salon experience their website promises (actual descriptive quote from their website: "legendary Camarillo Bridal experience").

They made special arrangements to have my dress flown out from NY so that I could try it on, but if I didn't care for it, I could put my nominal deposit towards any other dress in the store.
The store was absolutely gorgeous and every one of the ladies that worked there was incredibly kind and had a strong passion for what they did. The owner is extremely kind.
The dress was perfect and every trip there on out was great. They have package deals where you get money off of the veil, dress, shoes and everything else involved with weddings.

My first stop was Camarillo Bridal. Their wedding dress environment is calm, quiet and friendly. I like that I could easily park and had a bit of privacy from other brides that were there that day. You are assigned a bridal consultant that helps you pick out your styles, get into your dresses and determine the looks that are right for your body size and shape.
I enjoyed having 2 of my bridesmaids there with me that day and they were able to sit on a comfy couch and enjoy their time as the waited on me to change. The staff were also really helpful in ordering undergarments, shoes, jewelry, bridesmaids dresses, etc. Even though I did not buy all those things through them - they were helpful in guiding me in the right direction.
I went to all those other fancy shops and looked around at dresses 5xs as expensive and not as selection. I knew that I had already found my dress at the first location and I am so glad that I was able to return to Camarillo Bridal and utilize a local shop to get all my wedding dress needs met.

The salon is nice and you definitely get the whole experience. Shelly was not pushy with trying to make a sale and did inform me of the Platinum package you get if you buy your dress on your first visit. I tried on a wonderful chiffon gown that was so me - I knew it was the dress. I still didn't think I was buying it because my mom wasn't with me and Shelly was okay with that and said she would just note it on my card so my Mom and I could come back. While she was noting it and I was getting changed I realized there was no reason to wait it was THE DRESS and why not get the Platinum package they were offering with the gown purchase (free veil, steaming of dress, tank top, discounts on accessions). They let me get back in the dress and send a video of it to my mom and told me they were signing up for Skype so it would be easier to video with parents that don't live near by (this is such a great idea). The only thing I didn’t like about the store is that they don’t allow you to take pictures of yourself in the dress. Something I think they should implement. In my opinion, Camarillo Bridal should take a photo with their camera for your later review as it gets hard to remember how each dress looks, after you have tried several on. I never had that "life changing moment" when you put on a dress and have a panic attack and cry and stare at yourself in the mirror envisioning your wedding day.
It was getting close to the deadline for me to find a dress, so I had to man up and find one.
The ladies at Camarillo Bridal were really nice at first, but I wasn't your typical bride, so I felt like they got short with me pretty quick.
I did wind up purchasing my dress from them, and I liked it, but again, none of that crying drama thing like you see on TV.
I also did not want a veil and they didn't like that. They were pushy to get me to try one on, and I actually almost walked out. It felt like more of an "Add on" sale at that point, which frustrated me even more. To this day I have never had a veil on my head. I also wanted to wear flip flops (for the entire ceremony and reception) and the looks on their face was as if I just killed their dog. They tried to talk me out of that, and I didn't like that, either. It's like why do they care if I go barefoot or wear combat boots?
Overall, I'd say they were nice, and I got a great dress-Maggie Sottero (LOVE THAT DESIGNER, BTW). I'd just wish they were more understanding that not everyone wants to be traditional, and after 23 dresses, I didn't need a pushy attempt at an add-on sale.

I came in having pretty much no idea what I wanted but she pulled a ton of dresses in a lot of styles to get a feel for what I wanted and then changed her selections based on my feedback. It was really nice to work with someone who respected my desires and comfort level in different types of dresses. Additionally, she was really positive and high energy which made the whole experience really fun even though I had kind of been dreading it. When I was still trying on dresses over an hour later, I could tell the other sales girls were getting antsy for me to free up the room but Jazmyn never once rushed me or made me feel like I needed to leave (even though I went ahead and called it a day anyways).
