My first experience walking into the store was excellent. I had read many positive Yelp reviews, particularly about Christina, and she lived up to her reputation. She was attentive...
, sweet, and every dress she picked out for me showed that she was in tune with my personal style. She was/is wonderful.
Long story short, everything since the purchase of my dress has been a nightmare. It took them five months to get my dress in store when they said it wouldn't take very long, and now I won't get my dress back from alterations until two days before my event. I had to call their store for a month to get them to give me my dress, they ordered custom sleeves for my dress and they weren't ready when I went for alterations so now I'm wearing a strapless dress when that's not what I wanted at all. I have left multiple voicemails and no one cares to call me back. No one picks up the phone. To get any answers I have to show up in store (not a convenient drive for me but it's the only way anyone will speak to me).
I've been in customer service for over 10 years, and I know that accidents happen. But when they happen, there's usually an apology and an effort to fix it. Ashley does not care about her customers once they have purchased their dress. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else
The shop itself is fine. The girls are nice when you're there.
But be prepared to be stressed out of your mind when you're waiting on your dresses to arrive. There is very lit...
tle communication from the shop. They do not proactively reach out to update you. All the dresses we got were there days after the "latest arrival date." And lord knows you cannot contact the shop. No one is there to pick up their one phone line most of the time. The voicemail is often full. And sometimes.... it's just not set up! Also, there is no email you can reach anyone at. Well, there is, but they don’t make it public. So, if you're anxiously awaiting your dresses, don't expect to be able to follow up with the shop and get details easily. Their hours are very few and far between and there was a point where they were closed for a few days randomly in January.
Also, the dresses that were supposed to be overnighted to my bridesmaids where somehow “held” for days at a FedEx location that doesn’t expedite?!? And when trying to figure this whole thing out, the owner continuously called me the wrong name. Get to know your clients, we are your bread and butter.
I'm sure they're busy and have a lot going on, but when you're dealing with weddings and brides, you've got to be on your game. Communication with clients is KEY. The dress shop options in ventura county are pretty limited, the shops are small, and for those of us with full time jobs, going out of our way to LA or SB is not an attractive option. So sticking local is nice and what I prefer to do, but I feel like they take advantage of the fact that they are one of the few ventura county options.
In the end, perhaps we should all try to disrupt this ridiculous wedding industry by not allowing these shops to up sell and stress us. Wherever the dresses are being made and shipped from, it's not worth it. I wish I had gone with my gut and ordered from ModCloth for myself and my bridal party because this strife is not worth it for one day. I like my dress, it's beautiful, but all the shop does is order it. They are an inefficient middle man.
I bought my dress and the flower girl dresses at Camarillo Bridal, and the service was excellent. I worked with Lisa, Ashley, and Christina. They all listened to what I wanted in a...
dress and helped me find the perfect dress. (They have so many beautiful dresses!) They didn’t mind when I wanted to come in another day, so my mom could see the dress when she was in town from out of state. When it came to measurements, Ashley measured me perfectly, so my dress needed minimal alterations. I would definitely recommend Camarillo Bridal to anyone who is looking for a wedding dress.
(First of all, this shop is called Camarillo Bridal Boutique and moved to E. Daily Drive.)
What a wonderful bridal shop. I came in knowing the styles I liked, saving pictures to sh...
ow examples; yet, I still wasn't expecting to leave with a dress. I was certain I wasn't going to like myself in a "bride's" style because of my dislike for the traditional, but I wanted to go through the dress trying tradition anyways. I planned to go lone-wolf and then my fiancé had the opportunity to join. We immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. It's an open boutique with a cutesy rustic feel. The dressing rooms are sizeable and the couches for guests are comfortable. The selection of dresses is varied and beautiful. She recognized dresses I had saved without me making an effort to point them out. I felt listened to and that my bridal style was understood. With that, I found the perfect dress. The photo, goodie bag, and folder of information were a great way to end the day there and left me with a continued smile.
I was nervous about trying on wedding gowns for the first time but Camarillo Bridal gave me the best experience. I was also leery because I live in Nashville and I wasn't sure how ...
to handle it if I found "the dress" I had an attendant all to myself and she sat and listened to the style of dress I was looking for before we even tried one on. I picked the first dress I tried on and it was one that she recommended! I left and went to Davids Bridal and had an absolutely horrible experience. I went back to Camarillo that same day after calling and they stayed open after hours so that I could purchase the dress. They also packaged it up and sent it to Nashville for me so that I could enjoy the rest of my vacation. They ordered a new overlay and corset straps and mailed those to me as well. I got a few emails and letters from them in the mail making sure I had everything I needed. I felt like a princess from the minute I walked in!! My cousin is getting married soon and we plan on making that our one and only stop! Thanks so much to the entire team at Camarillo Bridal!
Great dress...very bad service.
First, I LOVED my dress and was so glad to have gone to Camarillo Bridal. I have recommended the to others.
They are a boutique salon, so appointments are required which is very...
reasonable. They say only 2-3 guests are allowed to come with you to the appointments. I'm not sure of anyone that can abide by this rule, I certainly couldn't. They accommodated easily, as there is plenty of room for more. I'm sure it's to control the noise level, but still, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them because I have 4 sisters, a mom, and future in-laws that wanted to be there for the big moment I found my dress (which I did!)
The hesitation I have with this shop is the service I received several times over the phone, with different employees. The experiences weren't terrible, but definitely made me feel flustered. They are wonderful once you get there, but it can be difficult to make an appointment. Only one person schedules, so if she is helping someone else or just not there, you can only leave a message with the employee who answered. It took about 3 rounds of phone tag to get on the schedule.
Anyways, overall I would use them again! The selection was great for bridal gowns.
The only reason I mention the other things is they can't know things aren't perfect if no one tells them.
Overall, I had a great experience with Camarillo Bridal. Even though my appointment was only for 1 ½ hours, I spent 4 hours there and the consultant continued to work with me and ...
was great throughout the whole time. She put me into all different types of dresses so I could determine the type of dress that I was looking for. They had a lot of options to choose from. End result was that I found my dress on the first visit and first day of shopping for the dress. After that, they did a great job of keeping me informed of when the dress would be in and what other accessories I needed and when they arrived. They were very professional and all of the staff was very helpful throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend anyone to go to their store in pursuit of a wedding dress.

The women working there were great and very quickly started to pick up what styles you looking for in your gown. It was nice having all the mirrors to see yourself from different a...
ngles. I would say the place is perfect, but a little over priced. I ended up looking at another store that had the bridal gown I was interested in on display (Pebbles Bridal in Woodland Hills). Pebbles Bridal had a cheaper price than Camarillo Bridal and when asked if Camarillo Bridal matches other stores prices they responded by saying the prices are already set and every store sells at the same price. So if you are looking at a store with cheap prices don't go to Camarillo Bridal, but if you looking for a place that has a great set up for trying on gowns and works with you to find the dress you want (I combined multiple styles of the same designers to create my dress and it did not cost extra) they are perfect.

The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because there was some ordering snafus with my rush delivery and undergarment orders. le to use this business to successfully obtain a dress, it's all good. However, there are definitely some areas where they could have done better. First, measurements. A couple issues here led to my dress being too big. To start with, they measured me over my clothes- jeans and a sweater. Then they recommend that you order the size dress that corresponds to your largest measurement, because it's easier to take than let out. That makes sense, but if you are being measured over your clothes and are just barely one size bigger based on one of your measurements, you probably should not order the bigger size. I should have listened to my instincts, but I listened to the stylist instead and my dress was way too big. (Luckily I found a good seamstress to take it in.) The second issue was with my veil. First, when they gave me my veil, it was crumpled up in plastic. No, this didn't actually hurt it, but when you're being handed the veil for your wedding day that you've paid $140 for, you don't really want to see it all balled up and wrinkled. I mean, maybe at least fold it neatly? Second, my veil was two layered, and the one I actually got was far, far fluffier than the sample I had tried on. I didn't realize this until I got it home (since it was just crumpled when I picked it up it was hard to tell). When I contacted them about it, they seemed really unconcerned. They were just like, yeah, our samples are really broken in so they are softer. I pointed out they might want to warn people that the samples don't necessarily represent what they will actually be getting. They agreed, but didn't offer any real solutions to the problem of my veil. So I cut the top layer off. Problem of over-fluffiness solved. Anyway, bottom line: nice people, nice dress, everything turned out fine in the end, but not the luxury bridal salon experience their website promises (actual descriptive quote from their website: "legendary Camarillo Bridal experience").
I bought my dress here and it was absolutely perfect. The staff is very nice but sales people. I was told after 3 visits that I would have to pay for a 4th visit. Also, after telli...
ng them that I thought I would need a smaller size dress (I know girls probably say this all the time), they insisted I get the dress size they recommended. I didn't lose any weight and they seamstress had to take in 4 inches off the sides. It was difficult because of the lace and I ended up paying a fortune in alterations.
I had such a wonderful experience with camarillo bridal. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very helpful. I wouldn't have imagined purchasing my dress anywhere else.
This was the place my sister got her dress so I definitely wanted to get mine here too. Really sweet and attentive staff. Loved my dress and their timing for everything was great. ...
The only downside was the fittings didn't work out for anyone in my bridal party... Everyone needed massive alterations which you had to go somewhere else for and pay a lot of money. Some was unavoidable but most was due to measurements being wrong or not converted to the right sizes for both dresses and tuxedos.

color options I was choosing between. I instantly fell in love with this salon. The ladies are truly magnificent. I ordered my dress that day! They kept me updated when my dress would be available and recommended a great seamstress to make my dress perfect. Thanks, ladies!
We went to Camarillo thinking they'd be a bit up tight, but we were so wrong! The woman who helped us really knew her stuff and was so helpful and kind. They don't have a limit on ...
what you can try on and they are not pushy at all. It was a fun experience for my sisters, mom, and I. We spent a little over an hour there and then went to David's bridal, but there was no comparison! SO many people have commented on how elegant and perfect my dress was for me. I'd definitely recommend them.
Camarillo Bridal was absolutely fantastic in every aspect.
I had a very special situation in which I found a very specific dress I wanted online that only had a few dealers here...
in Southern CA. After calling all the dealers near my home and being treated horribly rude saying they couldn't help me, I called Camarillo Bridal and they were fantastic from the first phone call.
They made special arrangements to have my dress flown out from NY so that I could try it on, but if I didn't care for it, I could put my nominal deposit towards any other dress in the store.
The store was absolutely gorgeous and every one of the ladies that worked there was incredibly kind and had a strong passion for what they did. The owner is extremely kind.
The dress was perfect and every trip there on out was great. They have package deals where you get money off of the veil, dress, shoes and everything else involved with weddings.
I would refer anyone here any day of the week. I would say it was well worth the 4 hour drive to get my dream dress.
Thank you ladies of Camarillo Bridal!!
Working with these ladies was absolutely amazing! I ended up buying two dresses from this shop do to the selection and incredibly amazing atmosphere. They were nothing but helpful ...
and accomidating the second I would walk in the door. I also ordered all of my groomsmen tuxedos and it was a breeze and stress free. I also received positive feedback from all the groomsmen when they went in for their fittings. It was a quick stop for them as thu usually dread getting fit for tuxedos. Rene knew exactly what it was I wanted and made it happen!

ded to widen my search to find that perfect dress for me.
My first stop was Camarillo Bridal. Their wedding dress environment is calm, quiet and friendly. I like that I could easily park and had a bit of privacy from other brides that were there that day. You are assigned a bridal consultant that helps you pick out your styles, get into your dresses and determine the looks that are right for your body size and shape.
I enjoyed having 2 of my bridesmaids there with me that day and they were able to sit on a comfy couch and enjoy their time as the waited on me to change. The staff were also really helpful in ordering undergarments, shoes, jewelry, bridesmaids dresses, etc. Even though I did not buy all those things through them - they were helpful in guiding me in the right direction.
I went to all those other fancy shops and looked around at dresses 5xs as expensive and not as selection. I knew that I had already found my dress at the first location and I am so glad that I was able to return to Camarillo Bridal and utilize a local shop to get all my wedding dress needs met.
Everythin about Camarillo bridal was wonderful! I got my dream dress, stayed well under my modest budget, and loved the people that worked there! I can now sit back and laugh at ...
the people on say yes to the dress when they spend a fortune and their dress isn't as nice as the one I got! I highly suggest Camarillo bridal to any bride!!

. The trips that followed were very inconsistent, it just depended on who was there at the time. My experience ranged from very friendly to very dry. As many times as I went there it seemed like no one ever remebered me.The only positive thing was my beautiful dress!!!

I found the most beautiful dress at Camarillo Bridal. They were so nice and helpful. They had excellent service! I would recommend them for future brides.

i got there i wondered if they carried it and sure and behold no problem. Super friendly and helped me in any way possible. Got my dress and veil and incentives were given too. Purchase on the first trip and got a $500 package of items to get for my wedding. Always a help.

at styles I liked and she pulled some wonderful gowns and they were all in my price range. I wanted to stay around $1000. There were so many options. The salon is nice and you definitely get the whole experience. Shelly was not pushy with trying to make a sale and did inform me of the Platinum package you get if you buy your dress on your first visit. I tried on a wonderful chiffon gown that was so me - I knew it was the dress. I still didn't think I was buying it because my mom wasn't with me and Shelly was okay with that and said she would just note it on my card so my Mom and I could come back. While she was noting it and I was getting changed I realized there was no reason to wait it was THE DRESS and why not get the Platinum package they were offering with the gown purchase (free veil, steaming of dress, tank top, discounts on accessions). They let me get back in the dress and send a video of it to my mom and told me they were signing up for Skype so it would be easier to video with parents that don't live near by (this is such a great idea). Needless to say, I spent over 2 hours here and everyone was helpful and the selection was great. I love that I found such an amazing dress at such an amazing price! Thanks Camarillo Bridal!
They had a decent selection if you want more traditional/ trendy dresses. Pretty much the same few styles (shapes) of dresses in 100's of different materials, etc. I lucked out a...
nd found the one dress that was fairly different (simple). The staff was really friendly. I think the knowledge and kindness of the staff far outweighed their actual dress collection.

e the opportunity to really try on any dress I wanted in the store and not worry about it being way out of my budget. I worked with Nicole, who by far is my favorite person there and she was great! Since I bought my dress on the first visit, I was a "Platinum Bride" which meant I got lots of perks like discounts on brides maid dresses, discounts on a veil and free press and steam before the big day.
The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because even though the dresses were great prices, everything else in the store was pretty pricey (like shoes and accessories), which I guess just comes along with the bridal boutique. Also, there are a couple of girls that work there that are not helpful and always seems angry or frazzled. But Nicole is AMAZING and I would 100% recommend checking this place out for your bridal and bridesmaid dresses.
I purchased my Casablanca wedding gown from Camarillo Bridal. The staff was friendly, and the dresses are beautiful. This is a one stop shop for your wedding attire. I purchased...
my dress, veil, and tiara here, and couldn’t be more pleased with how it all turned out. The only thing I didn’t like about the store is that they don’t allow you to take pictures of yourself in the dress. Something I think they should implement. In my opinion, Camarillo Bridal should take a photo with their camera for your later review as it gets hard to remember how each dress looks, after you have tried several on. But other than this detail, it was an incredible experience and great find. I love the Casablanca Dress I baught!
I made one trip to Camarillo Bridal with my mom and maid of honor and that is all I needed to find the perfect dress! I arrived with a very vague idea of what I was looking for and...
the consultant who helped us immediately began pulling dresses she thought I would like. I ended up purchasing the first dress she chose for me. I did try on several others, but knew the first one was it! I also bought my veil there and they have a great discount program if you purchase your dress on the first visit. My grandmother and mom were able to find beautiful dresses there as well. I was very happy with the friendly staff and how helpful everyone was.
At Camarillo Bridal they carry beautiful gowns, great wedding accessories, and have amazing deals. The customer service is AMAZING. Not only did I buy my gown from them but I also ...
bought my wedding shoes and veil. They truly made my wedding experience very memorable.
When I finally made it into Camarillo Bridal, I had already tried on 23 wedding dresses at other dress shops as far north as Sonoma County and all the way down to San Diego County....
I never had that "life changing moment" when you put on a dress and have a panic attack and cry and stare at yourself in the mirror envisioning your wedding day.
It was getting close to the deadline for me to find a dress, so I had to man up and find one.
The ladies at Camarillo Bridal were really nice at first, but I wasn't your typical bride, so I felt like they got short with me pretty quick.
I did wind up purchasing my dress from them, and I liked it, but again, none of that crying drama thing like you see on TV.
I also did not want a veil and they didn't like that. They were pushy to get me to try one on, and I actually almost walked out. It felt like more of an "Add on" sale at that point, which frustrated me even more. To this day I have never had a veil on my head. I also wanted to wear flip flops (for the entire ceremony and reception) and the looks on their face was as if I just killed their dog. They tried to talk me out of that, and I didn't like that, either. It's like why do they care if I go barefoot or wear combat boots?
Overall, I'd say they were nice, and I got a great dress-Maggie Sottero (LOVE THAT DESIGNER, BTW). I'd just wish they were more understanding that not everyone wants to be traditional, and after 23 dresses, I didn't need a pushy attempt at an add-on sale.
I found my dream dress here! Shelly was a huge help and she pulled the dress that best matched the pictures that I brought in. I got the best of everything! Then I stuck with Camar...
illo Bridal for everything else: bridesmaid dresses, tuxedos, my shoes, my veil, and my mother's dress. They were helpful every step of the way and always remembered me.
If you’re looking for the quintessential dress shopping experience, than Camarillo Bridal is your place. Another store that I went to basically left me to fend for myself, but the...
girls at Camarillo Bridal were all really sweet and really helpful. I had Jazmyn as my consultant and really enjoyed my afternoon with her. I came in having pretty much no idea what I wanted but she pulled a ton of dresses in a lot of styles to get a feel for what I wanted and then changed her selections based on my feedback. It was really nice to work with someone who respected my desires and comfort level in different types of dresses. Additionally, she was really positive and high energy which made the whole experience really fun even though I had kind of been dreading it. When I was still trying on dresses over an hour later, I could tell the other sales girls were getting antsy for me to free up the room but Jazmyn never once rushed me or made me feel like I needed to leave (even though I went ahead and called it a day anyways). The store has a really large selection at a pretty wide variety of price points with a really helpful sales staff. Therefore, I would definitely recommend Camarillo Bridal!

The staff truely loves what they do and you can tell. Additionally, all 7 of my bridesmaids received a discount on their dresses because I bought my dress there.

Service is great and they have a good range of prices, for any budget. The staff is great.
I am a huge fan of the show "Say Yes to the Dress," but I knew I would never be able to afford Kleinfeld so I found a smaller version of it in Camarillo Bridal. They give you all ...
