I would have loved to have Cameron Mitcell cater my wedding. However, they are not good about staying in contact with you or making you feel valued as a customer. I've getting much better responses from other catering companies.

Stop now and book CMPE as your caterer! We used CMPE for the catering for our Rehearsal Dinner and they did an AMAZING job. We didn't want the typical rehearsal dinner menu, and ended up doing a 10 entree family style asian inspire dinner. It was some of the best Asian food we have ever eaten! Every guest is still raving about the dinner. Krystin was amazing to work with. She was so accommodating and a pleasure to work with; even when we changed the menu numerous times! The staff was attentive to every detail during the dinner and the food temperature was perfect! The food also looked as pretty as it tasted! We are so happy to have made the decision to use CMPE and will use them again for any catering needs in the future. Trust me, we know how important food is for any event and CMPE will NOT disappoint.

CMPE is simply the best Columbus has to offer. Their food and staff are both exceptional. They catered our wedding on April 20, 2019 at the Ohio Statehouse and everything was perfection and we got multiple compliments on the food. The food was delicious and hot for every guest which is hard to do when serving 150. If you can, try to get Paige as your sales manager. She is phenomenal. Paige is extremely responsive to emails and thought of details my husband and I never would have. We met with her on many different occasions and she was excellent with day of coordination. While CMPE is on the higher end price wise, the absolutely delicious food and service that comes with that price was worth it for us. You won't have to worry about a thing if you have CMPE and Paige.

Cameron Mitchell was my caterer for my wedding and the food did not disappoint. If you're in Columbus, then you're familiar with Cameron Mitchell and have definitely heard of their restaurants. I went in with that expectation and they totally delivered. I worked with Jesse & Emily during the whole process and they were both incredibly positive, accommodating, and responsive. Everything was served on time and I heard no complaints from any guest. The only hiccup throughout the whole process was about 1 month out when I had to follow up with them on a few details (linens, etc.). I believe this is due to staff transitions and had no affect on any other detail.

We had Cameron Mitchell's as our caterer for our wedding this past August and couldn't have asked for a more superb partner. Our entire planning process was wonderful and I absolutely loved working with Jenny! She not only went out of the way to meet my mom and I for coffee to get to know us better when we initially met - but we stayed in touch the entire year as she helped with our linens, decor and menu. Having Jenny in collaboration with the State House and attending those meetings made me feel like I had an additional wedding planner b/c I knew my vendors worked phenomenally together and we were always on the same page. As far as our menu, the tasting was a 5 star experience. We were able to pick dishes from a variety of their restaurants, make custom changes and accommodate dietary restrictions. Everything about Cameron Mitchells - from quality, presentation, taste and service - is 5 star and exceptional. Thank you for making our wedding day so special! - Patty and Jamie

Our contact Abby at the art museum was FANTASTIC!!! I cannot say enough great things about her. The food was great! However, there were two slips. 1. The noodles were hard on the sweet corn cannelloni like it had been sitting out too long (not a huge deal) 2. They only had 6 appetizers being passed which was annoying with a room filled with 150 people. Thank heavens we had some displayed appetizers as well because a bunch of people were waiting for them to bring out appetizers seeing as they were taken by the first 6 people. I was really happy with them though, they are a well oiled machine when it comes to events. Again, I can't say enough great things about Abby she was the only person who made me feel at ease. The food was great too just some things to consider or ask to have more than 6 apps on a plate at cocktail hour. -May 7, 2016

The entire process was a dream. The service provided by Liz Antle and her team was second to none. From the first planning meeting to picking up our left over alcohol the day after the wedding, not a single detail was missed. The venue was set up perfectly, the food was to die for (who doesn't love Marcella's meatballs?!), and the service from the wait staff was first class. Liz was there every step of the way, she even bustled my dress!! In my opinion, Cameron Mitchell Premier Events is the only way to go.

Three Cheers for Abby Rose, her staff and Cameron Mitchell!! From the first time I met with Abby to the time the last truck pulled out from our wedding our expectations were exceeded. They literally brought every single item needed to have a 5 Star Catered Event. Abby worked seamlessly with our Wedding Planner Nina Banks and myself to customize specifically to our taste the appetizers, cooked to order filets and at the last possible second adding truffles to our cake plates. Abby, Bartender Chris (Shout out to Chris!! Thank you!) and Staff, were very professional, knowledgeable, extremely accommodating of special requests. Cameron Mitchell is hands-down the best catering company in Columbus. Not only is there food amazing but their service is out of this world. They made me feel like I was the only wedding they had by their personalization and dedication to making it the best event. They are extremely organized and made sure everything went off without a hitch. Also, the food is incomparable! People are still talking about how amazing the food was and our wedding was over 4 months ago. I can't say enough about Cameron Mitchell!

Liz and Michael from the team at The Darby House / Cameron Michell were outstanding. No detail was left unnoticed with them. Liz even went to our appointment with our florist to ensure all details were taken care of. Lets mot forget about the food..I mean its Cameron Michell...you KNOW its going to be PERFECTION!!

It's great when you have confidence that a caterer will exceed expectations and can more than satisfy a client's hopes and dreams for their wedding day. We used Cameron's for our daughters wedding this past weekend, 8.23.14. Served the Pearl's Fried Chicken, and the rave reviews were over the top. The staff were so polite, professional and helpful. We knew that Cameron's were the ones to use, because we did not want any surprises or disappointments. They could cook out of a tepee for 500 people and it would still be amazing, they are that good!! Shawn Maghie

They helped me find my other vendors and I loved every detail. The food was great, the tables looked lovely and the service was FANTASTIC all night. The staff was fun and professional and highly attentive.

Everything about Cameron Mitchell was outstanding- from the decor to the service and of course the food! Despite what hiccups occurred due to the weather- Cameron Mitchell staff went above and beyond to make sure our reception was still stunning! I cannot say enough about the excellent service and value.

All of our guests over the next few days said wow, the food was great and the appetizers were amazing. Cameron Mitchell did a great job. They are on the pricier side, but if you can afford them I highly recommend using them. Jenny was our contact and it was at times hard to get a hold of her but she came through in the end. There was nothing that went wrong. We also ordered chairs and table linens from Cameron and everything was delivered and placed. Also another great thing was the servers were amazing. No one had to wait for the food. We got comments on how it was the best served wedding people had been to. Highly recommend.

they were 1 of 2 caterers at my wedding 2 ladies were bartenders at my open bar the other helped with food. they went above and beyond what was asked of them in helping my mom and all our guests. they set up and cleaned up everything. i even had one lady help me with my dress when my MoH and I forgot how to pin up the bussel

If you have been to any number of Cameron Mitchell restaurants, you know their food is out of this world. Their menu options were endless and they even honored our request of Lake Erie Walleye, when it was out of season. The tasting was delicious & helpful to making the selections. Our h'orderves were a work of art and were a fantastic start to the meal that followed. Our guests are still talking about GREAT the food was. NOT your typical wedding food!

I planned my wedding from across the country and had a difficult time finding a time to taste the food because it needs to be ordered and they had to be available to serve during my short and busy planning trips. After emailing with Brooke a bit, I was able to get a tasting appointment. The food was amazing and I got to make small adjustments (although they weren't necessary). It was a great experience. We used a coding system for our guests seated dinner for their choices. I heard of one server who still served the wrong meal. And I still feel bad about my friend who got plain pasta instead of the fabulous veggie pasta she was supposed to get. I suppose it could happen to anyone. They do get out the food very quickly so your guests don't have to wait!

I knew food from Cameron-Mitchell would be excellent & I believed the service would be good. I had no idea how good. They were simply wonderful! From our Coordinator right down to the wait staff & bartenders, each member of the CM team worked to make our wedding (which we held at our home) intimate, beautiful & care-free. They bought wine for us when we ran low, they boxed leftover food - even ones they did not bring, they lit our candles, they were friendly with our guests - i could go on & on!

I don't think I will ever forget how wonderful our tasting was and how terrible the food at the wedding was in comparison. We didn't have a buffet either. The thing I remember most is when they told my husband they couldn't get him a new steak. He only eats rare steaks...I mean bloody, and we told them in advance at our tasting that he wanted it mooing. Additionally, he was suppose to have a crab topping on his (which we elected not to do for the guests due to the fact we did not ask out shellfish allergies on the invites, just put beef on it). After the wedding, we got a email saying our cordinator at cmc checked and it was cooked at the right temp for rare...however...it doesn't matter what temp you cook something at if you don't take it off the grill at the correct time. I didn't respond to that email. Honestly, I agreed with my husband-getting upset. If you want a rare steak and you are the groom, I think you should get it especially when you were told it would be no problem. I didn't even go into the fact that my crusted salmon didn't taste like it had any crusting, it tasted like they put it in the oven without any flavoring whatsoever. Which was odd because when I originally tried it, I tried it at a mass tasting event and it was wonderful buffet style. The service was really slow. I wish it would have been faster. Also, we were only checked on once at dinner. I would have thought you know they would have made sure that my drinks were full and such, but didn't. I was most upset about the breaking down of tables and chairs an hour before the wedding was suppose to be done. I am not sure if it was the caterers or my venues fault. I think it may have been my venues, but honestly, in the end it was the caterer that was doing the breaking down of the stuff so idk. Anyway, I was disappointed considering how great the service and food was at my old roommates wedding. That was one of the reasons we went with them.

I contacted Cameron Mitchell catering for all of the obvious reasons--love their food, restaurants, and read so many great reviews. Was totally disappointed when I contacted them for an initial quote and have never received a response or any return calls.

We had Brooke and absolutely loved her! She was on top of things from day one and answered my seemingly endless line of questions. Her expertise is evident by how seamlessly everything went, even when we had changes two days before the wedding. We knew that by going with Cameron Mitchell the service would be impeccible but I had no idea how true that statement would become. Molly had an assistant Ashley during the ceremony and they were so behind the scenes I almost fogot they were there; it's like they were little fairies that just made everthing happen! I know they kept everything going and made our wedding perfect. There's no way you're going to have a bad wedding if you go with Cameron Mitchell; they won't let it happen.

I actually had someone say "I think this is the only wedding food I would want to eat everyday". How can you go wrong with Cameron Mitchell?! Delish!!!!

There are multiple reasons to give Cameron Mitchell Catering one star. At the time of our wedding they were the exclusive caterer at our wedding venue. We didn't mind when we were told they were our only choice because we are big fans of Mitchell's restaurants. However, when it came time to start planning our night's food the trouble began. The entire food planning process leading up to the wedding was awful. They were hard to reach on the phone, they would not call us back, and they seemed to know very little about the venue, even though they were the venues excusive food vendor. They also keep giving us quotes that did not match with their menu. Finally, our venue had to step in and get them to call us. Even then, it was our DJ that was able to provide a floor plan and suggestions of how to set up the room for dinner (Mitchell's wasn't able/willing to provide a plan). The night of our wedding seemed to go great as the wait staff was very friendly. But after the wedding we were approached my multiple guests and told there was ROACHES in our food. We called and complained and the Mitchell's event manager admitted she had known about the roaches and her staff did their best to manage them. They then offered a $70 dollar credit on our $15,000 dollar bill. I would not recommend Mitchell's catering to anyone!

They are the best for a reason. I am an honest critic (see my review on COSI) and if I am not happy I will let people know. That being the case, I could not be more pleased with Cameron Mitchell. Not only was everything as expected and promised, but they really went above and beyond. Our coordinator from Cameron actually went outside her duties and picked up the slack of our underachieving facility coordinator at COSI to make sure everything went right. All the guests raved about the food.

our guests can't stop complimenting me on our food. Sooo delicious. Their service, attention to detail, and ability to handle every challenge throughout the event was impeccable. They truly lived up to and beyond their reputation.

Although the Darby House is a beautiful location, we got the most compliments on the food. We had the brasin beef tip boneless ribs that all but melted in your mouth.

When selecting a caterer I knew I wanted someone with a good reputation. While Cameron Mitchell's was not my first choice I have to be honest they did an AMAZING job! We have a rather large wedding and we chose to do a plated dinner where everyone chose their entree ahead of time. I have to say I didnt notice them except when they were serving me. The food was great, even the steak was cooked perfectly and was so tender which is hard with steak at a wedding. A lot of weddings I go to when its plated it takes forever for everyone to get their meal. By the time my groom and I were done eating we got up to walk around and everyone had their food and were already digging in which I was beyond happy about. We decided to do late nite bites and have some butlered push pops, most weddings I go to people pass on the late night bites. I rememeber going for the food and most of it was gone already. All of our guests just raved about how great everything was. They got who we were as a couple and matched the food to suit our needs. It just made the night so much better!

Kristen was our coordinator. She picked up our account about 6 weeks before our event when our coordinator moved out of state. If anything went wrong during our event, I didn't know about it. She was fun & professional to work with. The food tasted amazing. I couldn't believe the size of the Chicken!

The food was fantastic! Melissa really worked on the menu with me to make sure it was everything I wanted. All of the guests raved about the menu and the quality of the food. The service was perfect. The staff was kind and gracious. They really made me feel as if they were genuinely happy for me.

My title says most of it. When it came to execution on the wedding day, they are by far the best in quality of service staff. The food is also going to be good. The process of negotiating our contract was a nightmare. They are waaaaay over priced and so working down to a manageable number was stressful enough but to top that off there were a number of times they tried to slip in extra charges without us noticing. Both times these charges were remedied. Once by completely taking the erroneous charge off and the other by discounting it some. In both cases, however, this was a huge stressor and head ache for me. I would only use Cams if money is not an issue.

Cameron mitchell was fantastic! They had one sales rep (basically) that worked with us through the whole process. She was great with all the details and really helped us even when we wanted an out-of-season dish. The food itself was better than I've ever had at any other wedding. Gourmet really. 2 downsides. Price (there's a reason it was so good), and no tasting (unless you actually go order the dish from one of their very expensive restaurants).

Cameron Mitchell Catering has a good reputation around town and they certainly lived up to their name when they catered our wedding. Our event manager was easy to work with and took a lot of the stress off my hands in terms of logistics and time-line planning. The food was incredible, and I had a number of guests rave about it. We had 3 stations of Mediterranean/Greek, American bbq and Italian fare, so there was plenty of variety. The presentation of everything was so elegant; I almost forgot we essentially had a buffet dinner. CM may be a little more expensive than other caterers, but they are a great value for what they deliver...and well worth spending the money if you are able to. Plus, their service is professional and they will work with a budget to fit your needs. The bottom line is that they did an outstanding job - easy to work, listened to our wishes and the food was fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to be disappointed with catering.
