My husband and I had our wedding reception at Canyon Creek Country Club this June and I couldn’t recommend them more. We needed to find a venue last minute due to our original plan falling through and Rose was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the entire process from beginning to end. Their meeting space was absolutely gorgeous and Rose perfectly captured the image we had in mind for our event. We took some photos outside and the golf course in the background was stunning. We loved how we could decorate the pre-function area with photos to make our event feel as personalized as possible. I couldn’t recommend them enough, Rose and her team were incredible to work with and I’m so glad that we got to spend such a special day here. Thank you guys so much for everything!
My fairytale day was scheduled for 4/10/2020. We signed a contract with Canyon Creek Country Club in 2018. We wanted enough time to choose the day that was most meaningful to us. The Coronavirus Pandemic cost me a great deal regarding my wedding. Canyon Creek Country Club canceled our wedding in mid March. I called Rose Pope and she gave me the terrible news. Our dreams were smashed! Two days later we text and email Rose we have selected another date 10/10/2020. Remember we have a signed contract! Rose said a contract was out with a couple that day and she would get back to us. I told her we would even start our wedding at noon and Rose responded it was perfect! Two days later we couldn’t have the wedding date we wanted. We were then back and forth with Rose about accommodating us with a substitution area as stated in the contract or allowing us to marry on a Saturday in September or October but the club showed no interest providing that. At this time I’m repulsed and felt disrespected by the club knowing we’d paid $8500. They canceled our wedding without including us in the decision. I requested a refund and Rose via email for the first time invoked force majeure in the contract. She and the club kept $1500 of our money because we were not allowing them to push us into choosing a date and month that didn’t work for us! I’m disabled in my right foot and ankle and cold months cause me a lot more pain when i walk. Sometimes I’m heavily medicated and drowsy the entire day to help me cope with the pain. Its obviously apparent then I’m disabled when walking and therefore cold months are always out for me. My wedding was planned for outdoors so August was out. Canyon Creek Country Club isn’t the same since Cammie Peel left for another position. I signed my contract with her and she was so caring and amazing. She always responded to emails same day. Always made time to talk to me. And never ever complained or commented about me coming to the club and making a payment on the whim! I’ve lost all respect for this club and evidently they are hemorrhaging money! I reviewed their new wedding packages and prices to use their venue on another wedding site to marry and it’s half of what we were charged and 3/4 less for the wedding on site! Again prices so low now they don’t come across as a champagne and caviar venue anymore. They short me $217.50 when they refunded my account and I’m waiting an additional week for them to do right and give me a check. Take your business somewhere else because they don’t care about their reputation evidently anymore and if there’s an act of God, utilities go out during an event, or whatever they will take your money with a hope you don’t take them to mediation for them using force majuere! Research what that term means in your contract people before signing! Find another venue because we did and I’m so happy with it!
We had our wedding ceremony & reception here and it was beyond incredible. I don't even know where to begin! Cammie our Private Events director did a spectacular job on planning our big day. From tastings to linens...she put in so much effort to make sure everything was fantastic. When I saw the room set up for the reception, my jaw dropped. The linens were absolutely perfect - my colors were magenta and black so they popped! Cammie also worked hard to get my absolutely favorite chairs that topped off everything. The food is amazing there, full of flavor..I heard nothing but compliments the whole entire night!
While getting ready I was put in a nice bridal suite and was served with a nice cheese/fruit platter and endless mimosas. Cammie should get an award for getting everyone seated at the correct time for the ceremony. I had around 60 guests and she had them all promptly sitting outside by 4pm so I could make my grand entrance! She made it very special so that the only time my husband would see me would be walking down the aisle. The ceremony was absolutely flawless, it was outside right underneath the arch. After the ceremony Cammie made sure everyone found their way back inside for the cocktail hour while the bridal party took their photos. When the reception started, Cammie worked with the DJ to make sure our entrance was on time and everyone was there! As I said before the food was absolutely fantastic. The Chef had some incredible ideas for food and we did the buffet with tenderloin and chicken carbonara, green beans and potatoes. Chris the bartender really knows how to make some awesome drinks and the staff also was very helpful on making sure everyone was served and then everything was cleaned up before we had the cake cutting. I loved this whole experience I had at Canyon Creek, they made me feel like I was a member of the club, not just some random bride. I highly recommend Canyon Creek Country Club for the wedding, wedding reception and parties! A big thanks to all of the staff who made our special day above and beyond!
We absolutely loved having our wedding at Canyon Creek. The wedding coordinator and her assistant were absolutely fabulous. They we're very knowledgeable and made the process very easy. I loved how detailed they were. We had out ceremony and reception there and it turned out perfect.
I would highly recommend this venue.
I had my wedding in September of this year at Canyon Creek Country Club and it was perfect! The ceremony was outside in a grassy area with huge trees on either side and we couldn't have asked for a better location. They have a beautiful wood arbor that we draped fabric over and it was the perfect spot to say I Do!
They have just finished an entire remodel of the main club where all the event rooms are and it looks amazing. Brand new carpet and fixtures in every room made this a beautiful place to have our reception.
The staff were amazing and the service was exactly what you would expect from a country club. The food was my favorite part of the reception, the chef met with us to discuss menu options and even though we were having a causal BBQ menu, the food was more than we expected. The panko breaded chicken strips and Dr. Pepper marinated brisket were a huge hit!
The price was extremely reasonable and the club was incredibly accommodating to our wedding party, family and guest, we couldn't be happier about our choice!
Canyon Creek is a wonderful venue for your wedding! I loved that we were able to have both ceremony & reception in the same place. The staff is wonderful and very attentive to your needs. The private event coordinators are outstanding!! They will truly help you every step of the way! They will even help decorate and set up! You will have your own bridal suite to get ready in and your groom will have his own space as well. The food was great and everyone enjoyed it. If you 're looking for a good price with great value this is your venue
Canyon Creek Country Club was the perfect choice for our afternoon spring wedding. Autumn and Andrea were professional, helpful, and wonderful. The planning was made so easy because they know what they are doing. They were able to offer suggestions based on their experiences that turned out great. The DJ is included in the price, and the company they use was absolutely wonderful. On the afternoon of our reception, everything went so smoothly. We were well taken care of and didn't have to worry about anything. Our guests are still talking about the professional staff, the excellent food, the fun DJ, and the beauty of the country club itself. We would have our reception here again and again. I highly recommend this venue to everyone! I'll never be able to repay them for making our wedding reception absolutely perfect.
I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a nice place for a wedding reception or very special party. The staff were very helpful, so accommodating and I could not be happier with the way our wedding reception went.
I also used their catering, which was fabulous!
I used Canyon Creek for my wedding reception in Nov 2012. Autumn the coordinator was outstanding!! I loved working with her! She was very helpful and knowledgeable. The food was also very good. When we went for our tasting it was so hard to decide because we loved everything! The only downside is the price. They are a little expensive (in my opinion) but for the quality of the food and service from Autumn and all the staff I think it is worth the money!! They take care of all the details!! I will be recommending to all my friends!
We had our wedding reception at Canyon Creek and it was beautiful! They were very accomodating and everyone was blown away by how beautiful the club was and how great the food was!!! 5 stars for Autumn Sadler and the Chef there. The weather turned out great even though it was August, and we got some amazing pictures just out on the golf course and the garden areas. Very pictureque place!
The food was very important to us and we found them very accomodating. They actually did one of my husbands own recipes for us so we could really personalize the menu. My husband's dish is good but they made it even better! Everyone raved about the food. Try the gouda mac-n-cheese-it's mind blowing! We did a bar package and buffet dinner. Overall we got rave reviews from all our guests.
Like another reviewer, they changed club coordinators on me just a few months before the wedding. Autumn is fantastic and really made us feel like the transition was going to be easy once we knew. I would have liked for the club to just tell me that was happening when it was happening but they waited until they got a new person in place before letting me know. So I did have some frustration on getting responses back during the two months that transition took.
I would highly recommend the club for your event, Autumn is fantastic, and the chef is both talented and kind. The two things that I would suggest to do that were lessons learned for us on the day: 1) Make sure you clarify the handoff for when the event coordinator leaves. Autumn and staff were keeping everything running so smoothly during the wedding but we missed when she left. So there was about 15 minutes of confusion that could have been avoided if we had just designated a contact person for Autumn to touch base with before she left. Then we would have clearly known when it was on us to manage time. Not a big deal but will help things run just a little smoother if you plan for that hand off ahead of time. Then you will know who to go to if you need anything after she leaves. 2) We also did a hosted bar for 3 hours and then went to a cash bar the last hour-I would keep it easy and either host or not. We tried to host for just the bridal party that last hour. The only confusion on the billing came down to that hour of bar. Hard to get a clear inventoried bill in that type of situation so just avoid it. For us, everyone would have been fine with just the 3 hours and then paying for their own drinks that last hour.
Would definately recommend Canyon Creek Country Club.
Four stars for this venue only because from the time we booked to the time we married, we worked with five different event coordinators. Initially, we loved Ninnette Moody, but she found another job about eight months before our big day. For a while, we worked with her assistant, then another event coordinator, then a coordinator who was filling multiple roles at the club at once. Finally, we lucked into a brilliant hire with Autumn Sadler. She was experienced, easy to work with, and took on all of our requests without question, and she really only knew us about a month before the wedding. She coordinated a beautiful ceremony and reception-- our guests loved the location, the food, and the service provided. Autumn deserves five stars, certainly. The club itself only four because of our difficulty with high event coordiator turnover rate. The food was excellent (best barbecue of any of the clubs we tried!) and every room was beautiful. We felt at home there, even though we weren't members, and that was important! I highly recommend this venue-- ask for Autumn!
Bethany was wonderful! She had so many creative ideas to make our wedding special. I loved the location and venue. It was great value for the price!
The private events director at Canyon Creek was very helpful. The service was excellent during the reception and the food was delicious.
