Cape May Beach Weddings by Washington Inn Catering

Lindsey Debaun, Catering Director at the Washington Inn did a phenomenal job helping us arrange the 70th birthday party for my wife around our pool deck and backyard. Communication with Lindsey was easy as she assisted us through the early planning stages, guiding us through menu choices, seating arrangement, etc. She very professionally managed our event with 110 guests, as she and her staff seamlessly set up, served, and cleaned up after the party. Our yard was left just as it had been prior to the festivities. As Lindsey promised we were able to relax and enjoy the party, not worrying about anything. Of course, it also helped that the food from the Washington Inn is always delicious.

The Washington Inn did a Sunday morning brunch for us in September 2023. We're the brides Aunt and Uncle. The staff at the Inn were wonderful, both in planning and on the day of the brunch. The food was delightful.

We ultimately did not host our wedding with Washington Inn Catering due to date restrictions, however, we hosted our rehearsal dinner at the Washington Inn which was amazing. Lindsey was extremely helpful, professional, and prompt with responding to my questions.

Lindsey is the best in the business! From start to finish she was extremely helpful throughout not only the planning process but day of. My husband and I were married at Isaac Smith Vineyard summer of 2022 and our guests are still raving about how beautiful and magical it was- which would not be possible without Lindsey and her staff. I cannot recommend her and the Washington Inn team enough. Our wedding was so special and stress free all thanks to Lindsey & her team. Beyond providing an incredible service, the food was truly outstanding and I am still thinking about it to this day. I am forever grateful for Lindsey & the Washington Inn staff for giving us such a special incredible day!

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Washington Inn and it could not have been more perfect. Lindsey was extremely responsible throughout the entire process and even made an accommodation for us a few weeks out when we realized our party was going to be larger than anticipated. The food and service were top tier as always. We were thrilled to be able to entertain our guests at one of our favorite restaurants in town. Our guests were raving about the rehearsal dinner and even to this day, they tell us how great it was. The martinis, escargot, and potatoes au gratin were all a hit. We would recommend the Washington Inn to anyone planning their rehearsal dinner in Cape May.

Lindsey and her team at Washington Inn went above and beyond our expectations. She was responsive and quick to respond to emails while we were planning our wedding in Cape May from San Francisco. Made decision making easy and fun! And of course the food was AMAZING. Having her there on the day of was so helpful. She anticipated our needs and everything went so smoothly from the moment we arrived. I am sure there are things she worked on behind the scenes that we weren't even aware of. The staff and service were fun and so flexible. The bar tending staff made fantastic drinks and were amazingly quick at the bar. She is a very calming presence during an exciting (sometime nerve wracking day). We are so lucky and grateful for the entire team at Washington Inn Catering.

I loved working with The Washington Inn for our daughter's wedding. They helped me plan and coordinate a post wedding brunch for 150 people at our home. Lindsey was professional and easy to work with. The day of staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and plentiful. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend The Washington Inn!

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Lindsey and her team at the Washington Inn! Our small wedding dinner of 52 people was treated with the utmost care and attention. We live locally and eat at the restaurant frequently, and I can say that the food and service quality is just as fantastic during a private event. The food options that we were provided with gave a great variety for all attending, including both signature as well as seasonal menu items. The quantity of food was also impressive, with everyone feeling full and satisfied by the end of the meal (some even taking home leftovers). My husband and I were greeted by our own server who was responsible only for us during our dinner, which was an unexpected touch that we both appreciated. We could not be happier with our experience at the Washington Inn, and all of our friends and family continue to talk about how much they enjoyed the food, service, and overall atmosphere provided by Lindsey and her team. It truly was the wedding dinner of our dreams!

Lindsey and her staff are top notch! She handled my backyard Friday night welcome party and my wedding the next day. Everything was PERFECT! Lindsey gave us great ideas for all our food choices and my family still talks about how amazing everything was! I did not have to worry about one thing - she had it all under control so we could enjoy our day and our guests. Her team including the chef and bartender were great! Can’t say enough about all of them. You can’t go wrong with Lindsey and her team at Washington Inn!

We had our wedding in May at the Washington Inn and it was absolutely incredible! Lindsey was so organized, helpful and professional throughout the entire process. She kept the day running smoothly and made the day feel so easy. The food and drinks were incredible (one of the reasons we went with them in the first place)! All of the vendors recommended by the Washington Inn were similarly excellent. We've received so many compliments about our wedding and can't recommend the team at the Washington Inn highly enough!

Lindsey was incredible! She was there for us every step of the way and educated us on all the things we needed to keep in mind and then followed through on making it all happen. She was incredibly diligent with coordination with all other vendors, which was especially complicated given we did the wedding on the beach and there were tons of things and vendors to be managed. She is so nice, able to roll with the punches, and has great instincts! We also loved our tasting with the Washington Inn- it was so much fun and the food is incredible. It was just as good day of a they stayed on the timeline and serving schedule perfectly (again on the beach which is a feat!). Everyone is professional and kind and we would recommend them to anyone. Our raw bar was the highlight for our guests as well- they had never seen anything like it- so highly recommend that as well.

Lindsey and her team went above and beyond to make our wedding day exactly as we had imagined. From planning the big day to how the day actually turned out, we could not be happier with Washington Inn Catering and the absolute highest quality food provided. Our wedding was an absolute dream come true, and a significant part of that magic can be attributed to the incredible collaboration between Lindsey, the catering, planning, and venue teams. We're immensely grateful for their hard work, creativity, and dedication to making our wedding day the extraordinary event that it was. We recently hosted a reception for our two sons and their new wives at The Washington Inn and Wine Bar in Cape May, NJ. Everything was simply wonderful, which we heard from our guests over and over again. We began in the Wine Bar for drinks and hors-d'oeuvres, which were both expertly prepared. We had a relatively small group of 35, and their Patio Room was developed into the perfect setting, with string lights overhead and views of the front and side landscape. The wait staff was so accommodating and attentive to everyone. The food was, as usual, outstanding. The level of professionalism by Lindsey, the catering director, and Ashley, one of the restaurant managers, was evident in all of the preparations and oversight of the event.

The Washington Inn, led by Lindsey, was incredible to work with. We were able to completely customize our day to create exactly the event that we wanted. Lindsey is a literal PRO. She led us through the planning process and made our vision come to life.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Lindsey and her staff. They worked tirelessly to make sure our day was perfect! I felt incredibly confident and stress free throughout the entire planning process and day of the wedding. Even during a hurricane, the staff was able to problem solve and go above and beyond to make everything continue on as planned. The Isaac Smith Vineyard was beautifully manicured for our event. We featured local wine from Cape May Winery and beers from Cape May Brewery which our guests loved. The Isaac Smith Estate is the best spot in Cape May!

We had an amazing wedding at The Washington Inn on 5/14/22. We had an early morning wedding on the beach and then made it over to the Washington Inn at 11am for the reception. Reception went till about 3pm. We had about 55 people at the wedding, and it was more than comfortable. We received a million compliments on the food. Everyone loved it! Lindsey was the best! Super responsive. She has a way of making everything easy and stress free! I sent a few friends to the venue the morning of the wedding to set things up. When they got there Lindsey had already arranged all the decorations and made it perfect! I was in awe when I saw it. Washington Inn was perfect and everything we wanted for our wedding :)

We hired Washington Inn Catering and had our Ceremony and Reception at Isaac Smith Vineyard. Working with Lindsey was a breeze and we could not be happier in how smooth she made everything. Lindsey sent over a full list of recommend rentals to get us started, we sat down to review all the details of our customized menu, and she accommodated last minute bartending needs only a week before the wedding. She even had the staff on the property days before to prep. All our guests raved about the food and staff were helpful and kind. We can't recommend Washington Inn Caterer's enough! Big shout out to Lindsey for going above and beyond.

We had a party for my dad's 90th, a very special day or our friends and family. I can't say these enough times, the party was wonderful. Lindsey, who took care of everything, every last detail, she was always there. She made sure everyone was taken care of. She was so accommodating, her team was so nice, they made everyone feel welcome. It was so easy. Everyone had so much fun. We had my son and daughter-in-laws rehearsal dinner at the Washington Inn. The food was excellent and the servers were very accommodating. I would highly recommend.

We had our wedding dinner at the Washington Inn this past weekend. I can’t say enough good things about it all. The food was delicious, the staff were wonderful, everything was set up beautifully when we arrived. Lindsey did a phenomenal job coordinating everything for us and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out!

Punctual, professional, and can-do attitudes and personalities across the board. Lindsey was an incredible coordinator, - hardworking, friendly, engendered confidence through each decision, communicated efficiently and effectively - dovetailed beautifully with other professionals, staff and guests as needed to provide a seamless event, setting the standard for all of her staff. The food was of excellent quality, deliciously prepared, beautifully presented and plentiful, served expertly.

My husband and I made the hard decision to postpone our big reception until October, but we moved forward with our wedding in April. It was a small ceremony with just 18 people - 12 adults and six kids. We had several options for a small wedding dinner after our ceremony and I am so glad that we chose the Washington Inn. Lindsey was a pleasure to work with and everything was perfect. We had a private room where everyone received their meals at the same time and piping hot. Even the six kids were happy. It was such a perfect event and I highly recommend working with Washington Inn. Easiest choice of my whole wedding planning experience.

We had the privilege of getting married at the Isaac Smith Vineyard in October and cannot say enough about The Washington Inn and specifically their amazing catering lead, Lindsey. We got engaged at The Cape May Winery and were heartbroken when we learned they did not host weddings there. We then learned that they have another beautiful vineyard that they host weddings at and we fell in love with the Isaac Smith Vineyard the second we stepped on the property. It is absolutely GORGEOUS! We had the wedding of our dreams there thanks to The Washington Inn. They made sure the property was in pristine condition for our wedding day and could not have been more accommodating and flexible. Throughout the night and the weeks after our wedding, our guests could not stop talking about the food. Everyone said it was the best wedding food they have ever had! It is an unbelievably beautiful venue and I cannot recommend The Washington Inn enough to anyone. Lindsey is the most amazing person to work with. She is so incredibly kind, down to earth and flexible. She made us feel like we had known her for years! She went above and beyond to make our day incredibly special. She even offered to watch our dog for us when we did our tasting! She was reachable anytime we needed anything though calls, texts and emails. She is incredibly detail oriented and doesn't miss a beat! She is such a kind soul and I already miss working with her (as does my entire family who fell in love with her!) You will not regret hiring the Washington Inn as your caterer or getting married at one of their beautiful venues, I can promise you that! Thank you for everything Washington Inn!

Working with Lindsey for our wedding was absolutely fantastic. She was extremely responsive, and her excitement also came through clearly virtually, which made me even more excited. On top of being on top of everything, the food from the Washington Inn was insanely good. Every single person at our small wedding raved about every single course. We served the short rib, the mahi, and the incredible veggie dish along with the awesome appetizers and bruschetta bar. She was also able to add some amazing mini desserts which were also a hit. I also don't know how she did it, but she matched the exact green of my bridesmaid dresses despite me being very vague and last minute to tell her. I recommend Lindsey and Washington Inn to anyone having in the Cape May area, or at one of the venues they work with. They were an extremely professional team, respectful of the COVID-19 boundaries, and made the night happen smoothly.

I thought I wrote a review for The Washington Inn but realized that I never did. I had to come back (almost a year later) to RAVE about how wonderful The Washington Inn is. I was lucky enough to have my wedding at TWI restaurant, but they provide catering services to locations all around Cape May. I had an intimate, cozy reception of 80 people on 12/7/19. I picked TWI, because FOOD is my #1. If you want amazing food, look no further. Lindsey, who is the Director of Catering, did the most amazing job. She worked with me to get everything I wanted, she helped me carry all of my favors into the building two days before the wedding, she set up the room, my favors, my minimal decorations (they decorated themselves for Christmas..beautiful), and she coordinated and helped my vendors set up. Most importantly, she made sure my day ran smoothly! Almost a year later, I'm still getting comments from my guests regarding how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food was, and how amazing a job Lindsey did at making everything run perfectly. If I could do it all again, I promise you, I would not change one thing. It was a dream come true!! <3

Looking to host an event at your home - look no further - the Washington Inn is the ticket. We have been going to the Washington Inn for many years (dinners, champagne tastings, teas, etc) and the food is always outstanding and service quite exceptional. So, no surprise when our daughter and future son-in-law wanted a backyard wedding, we knew who to call. We were not mistaken - from the moment we met Lindsey, the catering manager, we knew she would be the perfect person to handle our event. She is a stickler for details: organized, thorough and on-point for all details; and not to mention, a lovely person too. She not only helped plan the menu and timeline of the day, but she also acted as the "day of coordinator" - what a blessing she was! We hosted our daughter's backyard wedding at our home, in Linwood, NJ in July 2019. She came to the house to see the site and go over the details/ideas for the wedding. Lindsey listened to our daughter and future son-in-law's vision for the day. In the days and months leading up to the wedding, she was extremely responsive to every email and phone call making sure she had all the details covered. As the day approached, we knew we were in good hands. There were some issues with the rentals the day prior to the wedding, but she helped work out the details. The day of the event, she and her staffed were punctual and went right to work. We had all the items/decorations in boxes and her staff quickly and efficiently set up the backyard so beautifully. I cannot say enough about the entire staff - they were professional, courteous and so very friendly. The servers were discreet in their attention to our guests, constantly clearing plates and glasses, but always available asking guests if they needed anything. The bartender Randall was a joy - funny and friendly - and always attending to our daughter and us with water/drinks throughout the day. So many compliments were received the day of the event and now, in the days following the wedding, we are still receiving compliments not only for the food, but the outstanding service as well. I would not hesitate to use the Washington Inn again! A big shout out to Lindsey for helping us give our daughter and son-in-law a perfect day!

The Washington Inn and Lindsey made my wedding the perfect event. From the planning phase, all the way to the last minute touches day of, Lindsey was thorough and thoughtful with a keen eye for details. The food was amazing and paired with top of the line service. Lindsey from the Washington Inn is truly amazing. I am lucky to call her a friend after she helped make my wedding a true fairytale. To say that she went above and beyond does not even begin to describe everything she did to help my vision come true. She was an absolute dream to work with. My husband Nick and I had the pleasure of getting married at our dream wedding venue on 5/18/19. When Nick and I first went to see the Beach Club of Cape May shown to us by the matrede Lindsey we fell in love with it. We went home and thought about our options and I told Nick it’s the only place I can’t stop thinking about ! It was so unique and beachy. It did not feel at all like a catering hall with the open tent concept and the cocktail hour by the pool. Lindsey was amazing and made us feel like we were the only wedding she was working on ! She would answer my texts quickly and check in with me throughout the process. We have even hung out after the wedding to catch up ! I cannot stop looking at all the beautiful pictures from our day! Everything was set up beautifully and the food was delicious! The staff was great ! We gave them the go ahead to reorder alcohol as much as needed. Since we’re partiers they reordered alcohol for us twice and no one even noticed including us because they were so sufficient with it and didn’t want to worry us! Getting married in May I was also able to have the place for the weekend so I was able to go show Lindsey where and how I wanted things set up, have a rehearsal there and pick things up whenever on Sunday ! If you are a Jersey Shore beach couple I would highly recommend this place!

The rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding was nothing less than spectacular. The venue was the Cape May Winery and the catering was done by Cape May Beach Weddings by Washington Inn Catering. The venue was stunning and the wine absolutely delicious. The food by the Washington Inn was fabulous. The attention to detail phenomenal. The waitstaff, exceptional. The kitchen was run with true efficiency. We wanted for nothing. Lindsey, the event coordinator, made sure everything went off without a hitch and always made herself available for any questions or concerns I had. No question was ever considered "stupid" to her. I highly recommend Cape May Beach Weddings by Washington Inn Caterers. You will not be disappointed.

Washington Inn catered our wedding on December 1st at Everly at Railroad. It was the most perfect day and everything went exactly how it was supposed to. When we were looking for a caterer we met with Lindsey in Cape May and we booked with her that day! We told her about our love story and how we really wanted to do a Spanish themed dinner and she made it all happen. The food was absolutely delicious. Lindsey was extremely attentive and responsive to all of our needs and made the entire process that much easier for us. We would absolutely recommend anyone using them for an event or wedding!

We contracted Washington Inn Catering for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. From initial contact through the entire planning process, everything went smoothly. The director of catering was extremely accommodating, friendly, and professional. It was a delight to work together. The food was exceptional, and we received nothing but praise from our guests.

We had such an amazing wedding I wish we could do it all over again! The Washington Inn staff and service were exceptional and the food was wonderful! We enjoyed being able to customize our menu into fun food stations that our guests loved and raved about! We got married 10.6.18 at the exquisite and romantic Isaac Smith Vineyard. This venue is a true hidden gem in Cape May. Lindsey DeBaun and owner Toby Craig treat clients like family. Their food is delicious, all 230 of our guests raved how incredible the taste and service was.

The Washington Inn has made "Memories for a lifetime." My husband & I renewed our wedding vows after 50 years. "Perfect 1st Class Wedding!" All of my guests are sending compliments about the Inn -- food, atmosphere, service, presentations, cooperation, and organization – not to mention the beautiful & delicious 4 tier cake (presentation outstanding), personalized wine bottles, memory menu on the tables, coordinating napkins and the complete perfect layout of the tables to accommodate our 60 guests. Even our 7 piece orchestra said, "We’ve done 1000 weddings/events, but yours stood out. Lindsey and everyone at the Inn were amazing.

The Washington Inn was largely responsible for making our wedding day perfect. Lindsey was hands down the glue that held everything together. From our first call and first meeting, Lindsey went above and beyond in helping us plan our reception. We live 7+ hours away from New Jersey but Lindsey made it seem like we were right down the street. She answered all of our calls and emails and even met with us several times when we were in the area to go over logistics. We used a non-traditional venue and the job that Lindsey and the Washington Inn did with it was beyond excellent. We still can't believe how beautiful the venue turned out! The food was perfect. Almost all of our 90 guests commented on how delicious everything was. From our cocktail hour to the main courses, everything was so good! The staff on site for our reception were so prompt and on top of getting more drinks for our guests. They were extremely professional and great to work with. We can't recommend the Washington Inn enough, especially if you have the chance to work with Lindsey and her staff. Thank you all for helping to make our day so amazing!

I would give 10 stars if I could. From the delicious food to the impeccable organizational skills - The Washington Inn will make your wedding day one to remember. Lindsay and her staff are professional, organized, and truly passionate about what they do. They went above and beyond my expectations and put together an amazing evening that my husband and I will never forget!

Honestly, I would recommend them to anyone getting married-wherever, but especially in the Cape May area :). They were amazing. Easy to work with, service-oriented, thoughtful partners, and we could trust them completely! Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was and we are still remembering all the amazing little ways Lindsey and her team made our day so memorable. Washington Inn Catering exceeded expectations in every way on our wedding day. I rarely use the word "flawless" to describe a restaurant experience of any kind, but the term applies to the rehearsal dinner we hosted at the Washington Inn last month. The food was extraordinary; in fact, my husband, a fisherman with a discerning palate, found the seared branzino to be one of the freshest, most superbly prepared fish dishes he had ever eaten. The other entrees (crab cakes and flatiron steak) received rave reviews from our guests, and the raw bar was excellent. I had to plan this event from a distance, and what put it over the top for me was the meticulous attention to detail on the part of catering director Lindsey DeBaun, with whom I worked for months prior to the event. She oversaw the event herself and saw to it that no detail was left unattended. The wait staff were efficient and so warm and friendly. The bartender stepped up to the plate to produce perfect Black and Tans for a contingent of guests with some expertise of their own in this department, and she proved to be an expert. We could not have been more pleased with this event and plan to dine at the Washington Inn the next time we visit Cape May. Highly recommended.

While the Washington Inn was a stellar, warm, amazing venue to get married in, the event coordinator, Lindsey DeBaun, was the real reason we chose it. We had a small wedding and we were debating between the Washington Inn and Peter Shields. Lindsey was by far the most responsive to our inquires and the most eager to make our dreams of a beautiful wedding day come true. Her personal care, attention to detail, and exemplary hospitality made our wedding unforgettable! The venue itself is so charming—even though we got married in the off-season, there was plenty of greenery around to make the ceremony space picture perfect. The dining room was exquisitely decorated and the food was absolutely amazing and delectable! Lindsey even kept in touch with us after the wedding. When we went back to Cape May for vacation a few months after the wedding and had dinner at the Washington Inn, she greeted us like family and sent over complimentary appetizers to our entire table. We know we will go back to visit every summer because it is such a special place for us. I highly recommend both the Washington Inn and Lindsey DeBaun for your wedding celebration!

We had the Washington Inn cater our Cape May Convention Hall wedding and let me tell you- I am SO glad we made the choice to go with them! The food was impeccable- as was the service, set up, etc! We are there a few times while we were down for our wedding week and each time- everything was superb. Lindsey DeBaun was who we worked with from the start and she was AMAZING! She took care of all my rentals, which took a lot off of my to-so list. She was there the day of our wedding and helped organize the entire flow of our wedding along with Pat Devlin! They made an amazing team and took any stress right away! If you're looking for some impressive food/service- here you go!

My husband and I got married at the Beach Club of Cape May. The venue is operated through The Washington Inn. Our point of contact at The Washington Inn is Jennifer Rafferty and she is ah-mazing! She's hilarious, she knows what's what, and she is definitely on top of her game. When we hired Jen she gave us a packet of recommendations and all of them were top notch. Our rehearsal dinner was at the Cape May Winery (we ate on the patio and had a lobster bake, so gorge!), our wedding was at The Beach Club (I can't even tell you how gorgeous the set up was; under a tent, on the sand, beautiful sky and sea...there are no words) and our Sunday Brunch was actually at The Washington Inn. All of the food was catered through the Washington Inn and it was all STELLAR. Also, the staff at every event was beyond righteous. No exaggeration, every guest commented on how top notch and fun our wedding weekend was. I highly, highly recommend having your Cape May wedding coordinated through the Washington Inn, you won't regret it.
