From the time of the tour to the grand exit, Carl House was there for me and my husband. In house florist Lindsey did an amazing job with my bouquet and decor. Definitely consider using her and the food was delicious. You honestly can’t go wrong with this place.

We had the best wedding day, and it was because of this amazing team and venue, we can’t recommend them enough.

A lot people found out they actually like Brussel sprouts. Here it is 2 months from the day of my wedding I am still craving the delicious food which says a lot about. Also, from the CHE, I was able to choose a make up artist, DJ, Car rental company, wedding cake person and lastly my flowers where amazingly arranged by the in-house florist. The one thing I love about the Carl House is that you get a lot for your money and you will not be disappointed. My day of coordinator Nicole was a God sent. Even through all the crazy and my indecisive self, she always provided me with truth on what works best for their venue, she also had everyone a schedule that flowed very well. Nicole made sure my husband and I were able to eat and were not disturbed for we can enjoy our first meal together, she also made sure I did not ruin my dress with food and provided me a long napkin to keep my dress clean. The in-house Florist Lindy was amazing. The talent she has is beyond measure. She will give you options for your budget and help you picture what you want then create it and exceed all my expectations. I have never seen such beautiful flower arrangements in my life. Overall between the access to great vendors, amazing food, excellent organization with the wedding process, and the amazing florist you can never go wrong with this venue. And the entire staff at the Carl House was amazing- Megan brought us drinks during pictures after the ceremony so our wedding party didn’t feel like they missed cocktail hour. The staff was helpful and smiling through it all. We used Lindy who is the in- house florist and she was amazing! She was so patient with us when we had a million questions and made my dream wedding look exactly the way I wanted. She did an incredible job and she was so sweet through everything. The Carl House made my dream wedding come true and I couldn’t be more grateful. They have great pricing for everything they offer and take care of. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day and they were a huge help in that. Book the Carl House- you won’t regret it.

actly what we got with The Carl House! It started with Kim. Absolutely delight to work with and was so flexible especially since we only were having the reception there. Then we worked with Nicole as the wedding coordinator and let me tell you, she will fight for you. Their goal there is to make sure you have the day you want and they will do everything they can to make that happen! Also the food there is amazing! 12/10 would recommend! Every person I worked with made sure that we would have the day we wanted and not have to worry about a single thing. I was highly impressed and if you’re looking you need to go check them out.

It was so unbelievably tacky especially when my father was tipping each individual how he saw fit BUT ALSO our package gratuity was included. Please read below at how unaccommodating & disorganized they were.** This venue is beautiful with its gardens & historical house; however, if you are looking for a venue that is accommodating and organized this is NOT the place. This venue contribute the most and only source of stress to my wedding planning. The wedding director, Nicole, does not work there full time so her schedule is not very flexible with meeting and she has a constant negative attitude. Every response is very crass. I had to hire an outside coordinator and manage this venue as if they were a client. Every meeting was starting from square 1 of details and what we went over prior. There is NO inside communication so their staff does not know what’s happening. Despite going over things our food was wrong day of and they sent us a lovely gift with our last name spelled wrong… just shows the lack of attention to detail and organization. We were also from out of state and upfront said the things we wanted to do at our wedding…we got the thumbs up for them to only say no or make it very difficult and stressful later. Lindy their in house florist is amazing! Her flowers were stunning and affordable. She was a pleasure to work with. If you choose this venue know that anything custom they do not accommodate, when you bring in a cake (they don’t offer making it in house) you are not allowed to store it in their fridge, you will need your own coordinator to help setup/clean up as well as keep things in order. They also include in their paperwork that the nearby hotels offer a shuttle to their location, but that is outdated because they no longer do. Also, uber does not pickup from here because of its location.

The coordinator Nicole is an absolute godsend and took care of every detail, including making sure we had drinks and food in the bridal party suites prior to the event. Phenomenal option for an one-stop venue - they have decor, catering, and florals on-site with options to take care of favors as well, and their list of recommended vendors is deep. There's no problem with bringing in your own vendors for anything else, either, which is not always the case. Their catering and floral teams are the real deal - honestly no reason to look elsewhere. It's a great price for a great product. Not far from Atlanta with easy access from I-85, and SO SO SO many fantastic locations for photos both inside and out. At this point my husband and I basically planned three weddings to get pandemic married, but if we had to go for a fourth round, it would be at The Carl House.

Nicole, Lindy and Brianna were all so helpful and flexible helping me with all the details remotely. The day of the wedding was OUTSTANDING. I could not have made it through the day without Nicole's guidance. Lindy helped bring my decor and floral dreams come true, and it was even beyond what I dreamed. We were so impressed by everything- the food, the florals, the decor, the coordination. Anyone who does not choose Carl House for their wedding is seriously missing out!

From the rooms that we’re getting ready in, to the bathrooms and of course reception area and the entire backyard full of flowers and with fountains and a gorgeous gazebo. They also have an in-house chef who has a great menu, the drink selection was good as well. Nicole was wonderful to keep things moving and stay on schedule as much as possible. They also have an in-house decorator who can make any dream vision come true with flowers and linens. We also appreciated the staff that brings food and drinks during the first look photos to us to make sure we still eat and can enjoy their appetizer. We really appreciated David’s help throughout the planning stages. Carl is a quiet place between Winder and Lawrenceville and was easy to find for all of our guests. I would definitely recommend Carl House for your future event.

. When we got there, we both fell in love. We loved how simple The Carl House made it. Everything was laid out right in front of us. The only thing we needed to worry about was photography, videography, cake and the DJ. Nicole was also AMAZING. She made sure all of my questions were answered and helped everything go so smooth. My bridesmaids and groomsman especially loved her ability to always keep a drink in their hands whether before the ceremony or during pictures. I could not imagine our big day with out her! Finally, Lindy, the in house florist was amazing as well. I brought in a lot of my own decorations but she helped with florals and making sure my vision came to life. They cut out numerous parts of our wedding and amenities and made our experience extremely stressful and upsetting. It has been almost a month since our wedding day and we still find ourselves extremely bothered over what occurred. From shortening our event the day of, to not providing the signature drinks, outdoor heaters, valet parking, and the list goes on, we felt we were taken advantage of. Oh and one more thing. Due to Covid, our numbers had shrunk considerably. Because of this, David, the owner, told us that because we were saving money by having smaller attendance, we should have no issue paying extra for the things we were previously promised! We couldn't believe it! Customer service and integrity are dead. For the record, we did attempt to reach out David at the Carl House by phone and email and received no response. We were left with no other option than to share our poor experience here so others can be aware. We do not recommend

She always made sure myself and the wedding party had drinks in hand. This was especially appreciated after the ceremony and before pictures. She handled the coordination with my outside vendors (which was only photography, DJ, and officiant - Carl House has in house staff for just about everything else). The food was exquisite. I was an absolute mess planning my wedding amidst Covid but Nicole and the team made me feel completely at ease. My day was absolutely perfect! The only thing I would have changed was adding extra time to my reception!

I didn’t have to make a single decision or think about anything, because it had already been handled by numerous Carl House employees. They work as a team to truly get the best job done. The owner is apart of every wedding making sure that everything runs smoothly and that the bride and groom are truly happy. This venue has a family vibe, and I would get married here over and over again from the love and support they provide their couples.

This was the only place we looked at and I was so happy he loved it as much as I did. Carl house truly goes above and beyond to make your dreams come true. Their team is unlike any other. They have everything you need, and will do anything to keep the stress of wedding planning at a minimum for you. The food was phenomenal, though I didn’t get to try the queso dip I hear it was good as well lol. Nicole was a dream come true. She truly was someone I didn’t know I needed. She was quick to respond to emails and phone calls even with a busy schedule, she made you feel like her only priority. It was never an issue when I changed the ceremony from outside to inside just days before our wedding due to weather. The day of Nicole truly made the stress go away by about 80% lol. But in that moment where is was just me, and I was about to walk down the stairs to my husband, I thought for sure I would burst into tears at any moment but she helped me through it, however there were still a few. Honestly the whole team just made my dreams come true. It was the best day of my life, there is nothing I would’ve changed. It was absolutely perfect in every way.

Nicole was amazing at herding our crew around and making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be and when. My new Mother In Law had to take someone back to the hotel shortly after the reception due to illness, so she missed dinner. They made sure to have plates prepared and warm for her when she got back to the reception. They were so amazing, and so good at what they do, they make it seem flawless! Thank you again to the Carl House team and especially Nicole who I would not have been able to make it through the day with out (thanks for the Champagne to help with the jitters)

first time, I immediately knew The Carl House was the one. One of the best things about the Carl House is that so much of the major things you need - catering, florist, day-of coordinator, décor - are built into the package cost. As an out of town bride (I live in DC and got married in GA), that aspect of Carl House was a life saver. Everything was phenomenal. The food was good, the flowers and décor were beautiful and exactly what I wanted (thank you, Lindy!), and it was all packaged perfectly in to the southern-style, estate home feel I so desired. Carl House management has thought of everything a bride and groom might desire for their wedding, including two fun photo booths (highly recommend!) and elegantly decorated respective bride and groom suites for getting ready/dressed. The staff was amazing also. Before the ceremony began, the staff took the beverage orders of the wedding party/family and had drinks ready and waiting for us after the ceremony and then passed hors d'oeuvres to us while we took pictures during cocktail hour so we didn't have to miss a moment of our day and all that we planned for. It was truly the perfect touch of added service that puts Carl House above other venues. To top it all off, Nicole, the day-of coordinator, is excellent at her job and helped keep the entire day and evening flowing smoothly. I was SO glad to have her overseeing the entire event because it took a huge weight off my and my family's shoulders knowing we had someone we could trust. I could not be happier with selecting the Carl House as my wedding venue and highly recommend their services.

The grounds are intimate, quiet and much more expansive than you would think just from viewing the house from the road. The entire property makes for gorgeous pictures from every angle. But Carl House is more than just a pretty location. It’s a business that is ready to make your wedding perfect. The event team is absolutely incredible. You get a dedicated wedding director, who will walk you through every fine detail of your day. I also recommend using their onsite florist, Lindy — her ideas and creations will stun you. Then they have an incredibly service-oriented wait staff that will make a delicious meal to impress your guests. No one will leave hungry, that’s for certain. So with all of this talent, you’d expect to deal with some attitude, right? Not here. I’m actually sad the wedding planning is over because I’ll miss everyone we interacted with. Everyone was so incredibly friendly, to the point it felt like I was planning my wedding with my best friends. At every turn, they wanted to make sure we were happy with how things were shaping up and would bend over backwards to make it work. And that’s with them running several events each week! I just can’t get over how well they treated us, which is why I recommend this venue over others. I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention that my wedding was a same-sex wedding. Honestly, we were a little nervous about getting married in a small town and that the staff might be a little cold. As I have hopefully conveyed, none of that was the case. They were thrilled to plan our wedding and at no point did we feel uncomfortable. Carl House also works with many vendors, like photographers and DJs, that they can connect you with if you need. We needed to find a DJ last minute, and our wedding director, Nicole, connected us with a DJ service that really made our event come to life. On the day of the wedding, they have timing down to a science. While Nicole was our wedding director through the planning process (and she’s amazing), she actually had a wedding to attend the day-of ours, so she wasn’t present. Indira was our back-up wedding planner. We literally met her the night before at our rehearsal, and as expected in the same vein as everything else, she was like a longtime friend helping us put on the finishing touches. She knew exactly what we wanted and how we wanted the day to go. On the day-of, she kept everything on time with perfect direction but at all times making sure we were ready to proceed — it was our day from the first moment. She was integral in making sure it worked perfectly. I know there are great venues everywhere. But the value for the price we paid, the service we received, and the perfect wedding we had, I have to attribute most of that to the Carl House. I honestly couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else, and I highly recommend it to you for your special day.

She is very experienced, will work with you to make sure your big day is how you imagined, and makes sure you have plenty of food! Most importantly it felt like she was on our side. In the months before the wedding, her organization and communication made you feel like she had everything under control. Day of, she was actively managing vendors, setup, and timelines, so we could focus on enjoying the big day! Food/Drink: We went with the beef and chicken, roasted potatoes, and veggies for our menu. The food was delicious and they were willing to work with us to accommodate the gluten & dairy allergies we have in our families. We were very pleased with our dinner. Florist: Lindy is their florist and was well worth hiring! I couldn’t believe how beautiful my bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets, boutonnieres, and table centerpieces turned out. She over-delivered in comparison to what I thought the flowers would look like. Venue/Grounds: BEAUTIFUL! Old historic home that is gorgeous! The grounds have grassy areas, flowers, trees, gazebo, and more.

We had the wedding inside, and while appetizers were being served during the next 40+ minutes, the wedding ceremony room was magically transformed into a dinner/reception room. The food was absolutely delicious, and our wedding coordinator from the Carl House, Nicole, handled every little detail perfectly from start to finish. I can't give Nicole enough accolades. I could go on and on about how wonderful this venue is for a wedding, but I don't want to be repetitive. We used the Carl House florist, Lindy, for the flowers and they were over the top. This is a venue where the staff takes care of everything, and when the wedding day rolls around, you don't have to worry about one little thing. Thanks David and the Carl House staff.

I can't even describe how amazing our flowers were. The on-site florist (Lindy) is just a genius! I basically just gave her colors and some flowers I liked, and she managed to create the most beautiful bouquets and decor. I am STILL (almost 2 months later) getting complements on our flowers!

Nicole, the wedding planner, was fantastic. She took care of everything. I had no idea where to begin to start with planning a wedding. Nicole and her team took care of everything. Anytime I emailed Nicole, she responded immediately. She took care of all my needs and requests. She made the process so painless and enjoyable. Lindy from floral took my breath away with my bouquet. It was the most beautiful bouquet ever. She way exceeded all of my expectations. All of the decorations were breathtaking. The food, most important, was delicious. Everything from the appetizers, sides, and main dishes- I highly recommend the pecan crusted chicken and gouda mac!!! Indera the day of was amazing. She made sure all of mine and Nick's needs were met. Carl House staff and team were so amazing. All of our requests were met immediately, no questions asked. Sherrie, the bridal party host, really made our night. She made sure us and all of our wedding party did not go hungry or thirsty. Overall, Carl House went above and beyond and exceeded every aspect of our wedding night. We had such a magical night and loved every second. We are so thankful for every person who made our night so magical.

d. When I arrived on the wedding day I could not find my planner & the whole day was thrown off causing everything to be extremely rushed. I didn't even have time to get pictures with my parents, inlaws or the groomsmen. That was very upsetting for me because I will never get that time back. I would definitely have someone else in charge to run the show.

She kept me sane throughout the process and always had a smile on her face. So thankful! They have beautiful places for pictures all around outside which was one of our favorite parts. Breanna planned our rehearsal dinner and was such a pleasure to work with as well! She was quick to respond and so sweet always. Lindy is the in-house florist and she was also incredible. She was flexible, willing to work with us, and made our floral vision a reality. It was so nice to have everything at one place rather than having to coordinate set-up and take down of things on our own. If we could do it again, we would use the Carl House team over and over! roblem we had was that they were slow to return phone calls and the paperwork. The service provided on wedding day was phenomenal. Both wedding directors were actively making sure that everything went smoothly and made sure that my husband and I had everything that we needed. The owner is also very nice and accommodating.

Nicole responded promptly with any questions we had during planning and assisted so much with choosing a DJ and photographer since we planned our wedding in about 100 days. DJ Louie Productions did a fabulous job with the music and MC'ing and coordinated the photographer as well! The gardens and grounds provided a beautiful backdrop for our outside ceremony and photos. The Carl House Florist, Lindy, did an unbelievable job with the flowers and was VERY reasonably priced. The staff always did all they could to personalize anything we needed for our day. I would highly recommend The Carl House. It truly is a wonderful experience.

Our food for the evening was delicious – apple cider pork loin, squash casserole, and sweet potato soufflé. We worked with our wedding coordinator, Nicole, from the time we booked the Carl House up until our wedding day to make sure we were able to have our dream wedding. She worked constantly to make sure our entire evening went smoothly and was as stress-free as possible, and it absolutely was! We were told numerous times throughout the night that we “really raised the bar for weddings” and that it was “the best wedding they’ve ever been to,” so if you’re looking for a venue for your big day there is not a better place than the Carl House!!

but great things to say about our experience. Nicole was so great and she keep me (the bride) calm when I was having my moments. She assured me that everything was going to be great and it was. Our wedding was originally planned to be an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Due to consistent rain and stores the day of our wedding the ceremony had to be moved inside. I was not happy about having it inside at first but Nicole assured me that they would make it beautiful and it truly was. She was so professional and is so great at her job. I would recommend the Carl House to everyone looking for a great wedding venue. They really took great care of our wedding party the day of the wedding. The entire staff was very professional and it just made our wedding day 1000% times better than we had imagined. Do yourself a favor and check it out for yourself.

he most beautiful day. There was a cherry tree blooming in front of the house that looked so beautiful in all the pictures and matched our color scheme perfectly! The food was so delicious, and they made sure that we had time to sit down and eat everything we wanted to. They even brought out the food to us during cocktail hour when we were taking pictures. Nicole worked tirelessly leading up to the wedding and on the day of to make sure everything went perfectly and to make sure we didn't have to worry about anything. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue or an easier planning process, I highly recommend this place!

And the staff was also very attentive and you could tell everyone there loved their jobs and really wanted my husband and I to have the best wedding ever, and we did!!! I will be reccomonding the Carl House (Nicole) to every engaged couple I come across!!! There are not enough word to express my amazement and gratitude to the Carl House and Nicole!!
