I wish I had noticed that her favorable reviews were written 12 years ago. 2024 was not a good year for Caroline to take on this event. She should’ve declined, We ended on terrible terms with each other.
I hired her well over a year before the Rehearsal Dinner. I found her disorganized, slow to respond, unprofessional and disrespectful. She was often unavailable. She waited until the last minute to execute tasks and provide me with requested information. Early on, I gave her an “out” for our binding contract. She said she was willing and capable.
She continually said, I know I owe you this or that, but by the time she followed through, deadlines had passed. She also wanted complete control.
We had plenty of time to pick out linens, and by the time I initiated it, our options were limited. I thought she was supposed to help me create a look, but she did not help me pick out linens or tableware. I missed out on my first choice because I waited on her, and I almost lost a rain contingency plan.
She didn’t provide me with information I needed to create a seating chart until the week of the event.
She initiated contact with the alcohol sales vendor after the vendor and I had worked everything out. I had to call the transportation people to explain what we needed and to correct the timeline she had approved.
I questioned her twice about her approval of the number of wine glasses I was renting. I did not think there were enough, and I was correct. We ran out of wine glasses before the event was over.
She has a select group of vendors in the various categories that she uses exclusively. She continually stressed one caterer. I mentioned that I knew of others and would appreciate other quotes. It was like pulling nose hairs to get another quote from her. She gave us one option for transportation and was furious with me for reaching out to another on my own. When I asked for entertainment options, she sent me 1 artist at a time over a 3 week period instead of sending me a list to consider. I hired the entertainment on my own.
She told me she could handle doing the decor but continually put me off on providing me with a quote. Finally, 2 weeks before the event she gave me a quote with a Venmo request. I could not figure out how she came up with the figure because nothing was itemized. The document was vague and used the word, “etc. I asked her to itemize her lump sum figure before the event and after the event and she responded that I obviously did not know how to read a spreadsheet. Her spreadsheet simply listed items and ideas and a lump sum figure that she could not back up. It was impossible for me to know how much she spent. Was she intentionally vague? She would not show me any receipts. The last time I asked her about this fee, she responded, “I owe you nothing.”
Essentially she was there to set up and break down the party.
It was helpful that she set up and broke down but her execution of both were lacking.
At our request, during the event, she left the venue to retrieve our tip envelopes that we had forgotten. This was very helpful.
However, she was argumentative and unprofessional.
When I asked her about tipping, she requested a defined lump sum of cash in 1 envelope so that she could distribute tips to various people. I inquired several times how much she was planning to give and to whom, and I never received a concrete answer. I made my own envelopes. Honestly, in the end I tipped more to many and none to one.
Caroline was an amazing wedding planner and was definitely well worth it! There are so many things to think about as a bride and she thought of it all! She is creative and has an eye for style, but doesn't push her ideas - she takes the vision of the bride and groom and makes it happen. She helped with everything from flowers, to budget, to hotel blocks, and is experienced and professional. Would definitely recommend her to any bride!

Caroline was extremely easy to work with and very helpful for this bride planning a wedding in Savannah, GA all the way from Virginia. She navigated the process and helped me make great decisions. On the wedding day itself she kept everything flowing and super organized. She was great.
Let me just start by saying that my wedding could not have been better in a dream. Caroline is absolutely amazing, and was a blessing to have through our whole planning process. The very first day my mom and I met with her, I left saying "she just gets me!" From that day forward I knew my wedding was going to be amazing, and it was more than that! Caroline is so sweet, you feel like she is not only your planner, but your friend too. She is who I would say is the top planner in Savannah, and it really shows in her work. She works with only the best vendors, as she has been in Savannah for a while and knows who's who in the wedding world. I at some times felt "out of the loop" with my wedding planning, but I trusted Caroline fully to take my ideas and work with them somehow, and she did a better job than imagined. They day of the wedding was absolutely amazing, and could not have gone more smoothly. I had been prepared (as my dad had told me to be) for a least one thing to go wrong that day, but I was just going to go with the flow when it did. To my surprise, everything went smoothly and went off without a hitch! The biggest problem was that one of the guys boutineers broke off, but Cindy (one of Caroline's assistants) saved the day! Caroline had every last detail planned down to the T, I almost had to do no thinking that day (which was exactly what I wanted). All that was required of me was to enjoy the day and absorb as much as I could while it flew by. As my dad would say, "just show up and look pretty", and that was exactly what I did! Caroline provided all of us (parents and wedding party) with a timeline for us to follow that day, and Matt and I were cued by Caroline personally on each thing (at the wedding and reception). The day after my wedding, my husband and I were on cloud nine, and a couple of times even cried just thinking about how amazing and perfect our wedding was. All of my guests only had positive compliments, and I truly believe each of them when they say that our wedding was the most fun and beautiful wedding they have ever been to. Caroline and her team get full credit! I will never be able to thank them enough for what they did for us!! I just want to relive that day again and again! Trust me, you will not be disappointed with Caroline Carter Events... your expectations will be exceeded!!
I used Caroline as a day-of coordinator and I can not say enough good things about her and her team. Our wedding was even better than I had imagined it in my head for all of those months of planning, and that is largely in part to the fact that Caroline and Kim executed everything SEAMLESSLY (and there were a LOT of vendors and details)! The fact that I had to literally do nothing but “get married” on our wedding day is a testimate to what fabulous coordinators Caroline and Kim are. Can not thank them enough for giving us the gift of being able to truly relax and enjoy our wedding day, and I will gladly recommend them to every bride-to-be in Georgia.

Caroline and her staff were just WONDERFUL! I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding (besides the obvious - getting married!) because she had everything completely under control. She was great on the planning end too - working with my other vendors, family, making suggestions and helping to keep everything organized. I HIGHLY recommend her!!
My daughter was married in April 2009 on St. Simons Island and Caroline Carter was our Event Planner. I will be forever grateful to my friend, Allison, for suggesting Caroline to us. She was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. She made the planning seem fun and stress-free. We depended on her for suggestions and she came up with fabulous ideas. The wedding and reception were everything we dreamed of and more. Caroline was always available to answer questions through the planning process. The day of the wedding she and her staff were right there for us, taking care of us, and overseeing every detail. We could not have done this without her. She is not only talented, but a pleasure to work with! She's the best!
Caroline Carter Events and her tea are flawless. True professionals all of them. I was recently married in early August, and I wish I could do it all over again. I want to re-live our wedding day over and over again, primarily because it was SO fun and SO beautiful and all of our guests commented on how it was the BEST wedding they had ever been to. Caroline knows everyone, and made my vendor selection, my planning, my budgeting, all of it super easy for me. I loved everything about our 10 month engagement working with CCEvents, especially the wedding day. Thank you, thank you for everything!!
Thanks to Caroline and her team, our wedding was perfect! Caroline created the wedding that I had always dreamed about. C.Carter Events came up with such wonderful ideas and the wedding day ran absolutely perfect! Thanks to them, I was able to just be the bride and enjoy the day! Caroline Carter Events was AMAZING! I used their services for everything and could not have been more happier. I told Caroline ideas that I had about my perfect wedding day and she made them all come true. She has incredible relationships with vendors and responded within a matter of hours when I had questions for her. Caroline and her staff were extremely professional and got along great with everyone. I would highly recommend her services to anyone :)
My husband and I feel like we had the BEST wedding thanks to the help of Caroline. Not only is she exceptionally detail oriented but she has amazing style and design ideas. I can admit I am not always the most decisive when it comes to making these big decisions and she brought the best ideas to the table. In addition, she helped me budget and cut costs significantly because of all her vendor relationships and ideas. She truly made the wedding process enjoyable and hassle free! I'd recommend her 100%!
I was very pleased with my services with Caroline Carter events. I only used them for the day or the wedding. I only briefly met Caroline, but her assistant Ashely did a wonderful and professional job. I gave them my ideas of what should have happened the day of the wedding and they followed it and gave me tips along the way. My poor cake melted (that is a separate story about my bad caterer) and Ashely discreetly asked me if she could make a few changes to the timeline to cover up the blunder. It all worked out smoothly! The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5, is because I did think it was a little expensive, but that seems to be the case with everything related to weddings :-)
Caroline and her team were so helpful in planning my wedding and I would recommed her to any bride looking for a full service event planner. She was very professional and her organzational skills were a life saver! Her design style and creativity made my wedding absolutley beautiful!!
As a bride who lives in Colorado, I felt I needed to hire an expert in Georgia (where we were hosting our destination wedding). I thought that hiring a planner who was experienced and lived close to the venue, that things would be handled professionally and without error. I hired them to do my "Day of" planning and my event design. As far as "Day Of", they sort of met my expectations - however, they were rude to me and my guests, after clearly instructing both the planner and the musician, I did not walk down the aisle to the song I planned to, and they rushed us through all components of the reception, even had the itinerary for the wedding party incorrectly timed to end an hour early.
They did NOTHING for event design at all. A waste of $750. Do not hire them for this if you expect anything proactive. I did everything, and good thing I did because nothing would have happened.

Caroline and her staff were good to work with up until the actual wedding day. The day of my wedding she started making executive decisions/changes about certain cermonial and reception items without asking myself or my husband. She was also rude to some of my family members and friends. And, to top it all off she left my reception early and left her inexperienced assistant here to help with the rest of the night and our departure. Well, the assistant completely screwed up the departure and when we went outside to have our grand departure nothing was ready! It was embarrassing. The next day, Caroline would not take any blame for what had happened. She is also expensive and I would not reccommend her to anyone.
