Casa La Femme was a vibe!!! What better way to celebrate my birthday than with Casa La Femme? The food was top tier, and not to mention this was my first time trying Egyptian food. Also, the added belly dancing experience to enjoy while dining added an authentic touch to the atmosphere and this being an Egyptian restaurant. The staff were all courteous, professional, and stellar. Someone definitely needs to kiss and tip the chefs and bartenders because omg!!! The belly dancers are absolutely beautiful. This was definitely an experience to remember.
What a unique venue! As a planner, I’m always searching for interesting spaces that fit my clients’ needs and was so happy to learn of this one for a Wedding this last July. The food was wonderful and the staff that was on site that day were all kind, helpful and accommodating. I would be happy to plan and design many more celebrations there in the future.
I had the most beautiful wedding at Casa La Femme. The space is incredibly unique, location is perfect for a Manhattan wedding, the food is delicious, and it is very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend asking to work with Medhat.
Beware, this place isn’t as it seems. The owners and management are extremely sketchy, unprofessional and rude. They run the establishment more like used car salesman than restaurant owners. I have worked in the service industry for 15 years and never experienced service quite like I did at Casa La Femme. I would recommend booking your event elsewhere.
We were told when we booked our party that it was a premium, top-shelf open bar. The owner told us guests would be able to drink anything they like. Three hours into our wedding, a guest ordered Bombay Sapphire and tonic, and was told it was a well party. When I asked the manager what was going on, he told me that I had bought a medium-shelf open bar, even though my contract specifically stated premium open bar. I was specifically told many times that my package was premium open bar, and my contract stated that as well. At my wedding, my guests did not receive the premium open bar we paid for, the received a medium-shelf open bar, which left me embarrassed that my guests were being told they couldn’t order certain things that were displayed. After we found out, guests were being told “no” about certain liquor, our best man removed them from display. But, they shouldn’t have been told no at all. I feel like I should receive a refund for this, because not only was the manager extremely rude to me, at my wedding, I did not receive the service I paid for, which was a premium open bar.
When we booked, the owner, Anastasi told us that our booking came with a free DJ. This was not something we expected, but we were fine with having a free dj for our event. The owner, Anastasi would not stop talking about how great all of the DJs he worked with were. He literally would not stop taking about how amazing they were. We specifically told him that we wanted to meet with the DJ a couple weeks before our event because my now-husband is a professional musician, and I really like music. 10 days before our wedding, we go to Casa La Femme to meet with the DJ, we sit with the DJ and Anastasi for close to two hours discussing the specific details for our wedding music. It is apparent at that meeting that Anastasi never met this DJ before, didn’t have the DJ come to the meeting 10 minutes early to meet him first, and also didn’t tell the DJ that he would be working a wedding and not just a regular party. I am a wedding photographer. Weddings take a lot more work than a regular party and you expect to be paid more to do them. Later that night, Anastasi emailed us that DJ wasn’t going to work out, and that he would subtract $500 from our balance, but would no longer be providing a DJ for us. So now we needed to find our own DJ, 10 days before our wedding in peak wedding season, when people book DJs years in advance. On top of that, you can’t find a DJ for a wedding for $500, so we were completely out of luck. The DJ we found on short notice was absolutely terrible, and ruined the vibe of the wedding.
The owner, Anastasi, cannot apologize or admit he is wrong, even thou he was wrong so many times in the planning process. I completely regret booking my wedding at Casa La Femme. When we first booked, I thought it would be sweet to go there every year to celebrate our anniversary, but now I hope to never go there again. These are just a few examples of how the venue is slimy, but there are many more. I know the place looks beautiful, but I would highly recommend not dealing with these people. Buyer, beware.
It was an absolute DREAM to work with Anastasios and Amir and their staff from start to finish. During the planning process Anastasios was extremely helpful with suggestions but also open to our ideas and came up with creative solutions to make them a reality. He truly went above and beyond - from little things like finding us a tarot card reader and finding an amazing DJ for us. Also the food and signature cocktails they created especially for us were incredible. Also the vegan/vegetarian dinner option is an actual delicious dinner and not just the sides from the meat dishes plated as dinner.
A big thank you to Casa la Femme and the whole team for going above and beyond for us!!!!
