Casey has done photos for us 4 times now, and every time I am absolutely blown away! She first did our engagement and wedding photos. At my wedding, my mom was attempting to zip up my dress, and it was a bit snug. She made a snide comment about gaining weight. I don’t know if it was intentional, but in this moment, Casey swooped in and finished the job and zipped me up. She has no idea how much this meant to me. It felt like she was trying to protect my wedding day bliss. She also did our maternity photos, which were, to no surprise, stunning. Just recently we did fall photos with our 8 month old daughter. Since having a baby, my body looks different and I was nervous for how I would look in the photos. Nevertheless, Casey’s photos still made me feel beautiful!!

Choosing someone to capture the most important day of your life (as well as the events leading up to it) is something I don't take lightly. When we were looking for a wedding photographer, we wanted someone who matched our style and could rely on capturing our personalities. I was certain that I would book someone that I already know, but I came across Casey through our venue and began scrolling through her portfolio and instagram. I really enjoyed her style and flare, so began reading through reviews and from what I saw and read I knew it was worth reaching out. We met for coffee and after a few minutes I knew we had to lock her in. The package we purchased came with an engagement session as well as a bridal portrait session, so between those two alone Casey made us feel extremely comfortable and confident. We received sneak peeks within the day, and we were just blown away. It was instant confirmation and relief that we made the right choice! Having those two sessions alone BEFORE the wedding gave us the opportunity to connect with her and ensure that capturing our big day would exceed all expectations! Dont walk....RUN TO CASEY!!!!!

Casey has the true gift to capture magic that happens all around us in pictures. Casey is unbelievably kind, makes you feel so comfortable and beautiful in your own skin, knows how to help photo-newbie’s like myself to pose in ways that look natural and timeless, and is so incredibly hardworking. Casey is dedicated to every couple she works with and helped bring my wedding picture dreams to life. Casey also photographed our engagement photos and we felt so strongly about her photography work we didn’t even need a videographer- she’s that good!! Casey goes above and beyond expectations and truly delivered us photos that capture our love in a way that is so true to us as a couple and even our guests were raving about her work and asking how we found her! 10/10 recommend Casey- a photography artist!

We hired Casey for wedding photography, and I firmly believe there’s no one better. Her stunning photographs speak for themselves, so I will speak to what it’s like to work with her. Casey is warm, organized, responsive, and innovative. Her creativity knows no bounds. We did an engagement session to get to know her prior to the wedding, and I walked away from the experience confident that our day was in expert hands. For the wedding itself, she captured everything we wanted - to the point that I wondered how she and her assistant photographer managed to be in so many places!! I would hire Casey again with no hesitation.

Casey was a joy to work with. As soon as I saw her work, I knew she'd be the perfect photographer. I fell in love with her bright, airy, and candid style of photography and felt that the pricing was incredibly reasonable. We met up to do bridal portraits about a month before the wedding and Casey made me feel comfortable and beautiful throughout the session. She is great at giving guidance and instruction while still capturing authentic moments. I couldn't believe how many beautiful shots she took in just an hour and was even more excited for the wedding! For the actual wedding, she and Megan did a great job wrangling our large wedding party and families together for the group pictures, while still allowing plenty of time for couple shots and first looks. I often forgot she was there while the moments were happening! She had reached out to me with a questionnaire a few weeks before where I listed out all of the picture combinations I wanted as well as a timeline for the event. I had to reach out once afterward to make a change to the schedule but she adapted quickly and everything flowed smoothly. She made my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera as well and again knew just what cues to give to create the most stunning moments! I would say the *only* downside is that it took about 12 weeks for us to get all of our pictures back which was a little longer than the 6-10 weeks we anticipated. We received our sneak peek within 24 hours after the event with SO many great shots so we really appreciated the quick turnaround there but would've liked a heads up saying it was going to take a little longer, rather than us having to reach out to check on it. That said, we realize it's a busy time of year and are just so happy to now have the full album back with so many stunning shots. Would definitely book again!

She has such an artistic eye for beautiful moments. She is beyond dedicated to her work AND her clients. Casey never fails to not only look your best, but really feel your best. From engagement photos, bridal portraits, and wedding previews, she hasn’t failed to make me speechless. It has been such a privilege to work with Casey and get to know her; she makes you feel like you’re having a photoshoot with an old friend. I will cherish my photos forever. I highly recommend her photography skills for ANY occasion.

Casey and Megan did an absolutely beautiful job taking my engagement and wedding pictures! Not only is the finished product incredible, but the process was a lot of fun! Casey avoided the cheesy staged pictures and found ways to help us have fun and create natural, intimate moments with one another! With how amazing she is, she is often really busy so at times it can be difficult to get in contact with her, but that is truly the only negative. I would absolutely hire her again and I can't wait to receive all of my wedding pictures from her! P.S: She is incredibly quick at getting those sneak peak pictures back to you! I had my first round of wedding pictures on my wedding night. She is honestly so excited about her work and that shines through in everything she does!

Casey was absolutely amazing during our wedding. Her time management and communication with each and every other vendor working to make our wedding day the best it could be is amazing. Casey made sure we had enough time for our pre-ceremony photos, bridal portraits, detail shots, and wedding party getting ready shoot without any feeling of rushing. Casey and her assistant communicated seamlessly to make sure not a single piece of our day was missed. We received a ‘sneak peek’ album that same day filled with various parts of the day. Casey even had photos of the groomsmen pre-ceremony playing on a laptop for guests to watch as they were waiting to be seated. Casey and her assistant were extremely easy to work with and made everything seem natural when posing. Casey was such a joy to work with and super flexible. We are located in Northern Virginia and she came all the way from NC to take our engagement photos, then back again for our wedding. My now husband and I were so nervous about the engagement photos, but Casey made us super comfortable and coached us through the entire experience. We've only just received a preview of our wedding photos (married on 5/11/19) and we are so impressed! She captured so much beauty from our big day and we can't wait to see more. She made sure to capture every photo from our must shoot list and she even had the preview on a slide show during the cocktail hour on her laptop, so guests could view it- how cool is that?! Overall, we were so pleased and impressed with Casey (and Megan)- we 100% recommend them.

Casey was exceptional in capturing our photos, starting with our engaments to my bridals, and finally our wedding day! She is the sweetest person you will ever come across. Casey is amazing and so sweet. Her work is incredible. She arrived on time on my wedding day and was such a huge part why my day was so amazing. Her setup made family pictures go smoothly and quick. Making sure they were able to enjoy cocktail hour. My husband doesn't really like to get his photo taken. She did an awesome job at making our time taking photos fun and enjoyable even for him. Before I left the venue that night she had sent me a link to view some of my photos. They were amazing! I am very excited to see all of them. Casey was extremely professional, sweet and organized. Casey has been nothing but wonderful with us for our whole wedding experience. She helped create the start of our timeline, and helped us really envision our day before it even happened. Casey took one of the most precious moments of my life and captured it so tastefully and exquisitely, I couldn't be more proud. My children and grandchildren will have record through her amazing photos, of the love my husband and I share. Not only are the photos of us exactly what we wanted and more, but they were so fabulous that they were published in a high-end bridal magazine, Muna Luchi Bride. Our photos are also going to be featured in a local Charlotte Magazine. When your photographer is so incredible, that magazines want to publish your photos...you've clearly chosen a winner. There is no one else I will recommend to friends or family who need a wedding or boudoir photographer. Casey is simply the creme de la creme of wedding photographers. Casey is simply amazing! She stepped in to take our photos after our original photographer decided to photograph another wedding on the same day. She took beautiful pictures of our day (as well as our engagement session) and helped our day go so smoothly. We could always rely on her, especially when our original photographer held our photos hostage for over a year after our wedding. I still don’t think Casey has ever been paid from that photographer but we will forever be grateful to her for stepping in and giving us beautiful photos of our day. I always tell people she took our photos and always recommend her whenever I can! We still get people every day who comment on how beautiful our photos turned out and we couldn’t be happier that Casey turned out to be our photographer in the end.

We purchased a wedding package from Casey Hendrickson photography to shoot both our engagement photos and spring wedding in Charlotte. We were incredibly disappointed in Casey from almost the very beginning. Her communication is severely lacking and we received all sorts of excuses for this throughout the wedding planning process - email issues, traveling, “office hours”. We thought communication would improve once we got closer to the wedding but her response times and “email policy” still seemed unreasonable in terms of actually being helpful with planning. When we did finally get responses from her, she came across as either too busy or just disinterested in giving us useful feedback about any aspect of the wedding related to photography. We were clearly not the only clients who felt this way because she actually sent out an incredibly lengthy email to her clients about how we should be more patient with her response time and returning wedding photos because she was only 1 person running her very busy business. She even said in the email - “I know we live in a world that feeds off of instant gratification, responses, and results, but what I do is art, and that takes time.” You can imagine what it felt like to be a client who had paid thousands of dollars for her services to receive an email like that. We ended up terminating our contract with Casey right before our wedding (after we had paid in full) and finding a new photographer because trying to deal with her really made planning out the wedding day much more difficult than it needed to be. We had the full support of our wedding coordinators in that decision. Attempting to work with Casey was frustrating and put a huge damper on our wedding planning process. She takes amazing photographs but her customer service and assistance with planning was a huge disappointment. We loved all of our other wedding vendors and did not experience anything like this with anyone else related to our wedding day.

Casey doesn’t just take photos, she makes art! I have over a thousand beautiful memories from my wedding because of Casey. She was my “splurge” item, and everyone is in agreeance she was worth every penny! If photos are even slightly important to you for your big day, I would tell you to check out Casey. She has an eye for love, and that shows through her photos! She was always up to do something a little outside of the box (Harry Potter wands!), and always made us feel special. I can’t wait for my next excuse to have more photos taken from her. She’s amazing!

Casey was absolutely wonderful and I LOVE how the photos turned out—and I've only seen the preview album so far! Casey is super down to earth and very kind. She's a little difficult to get a hold off at times but her work is so stunning! She photographed our engagement shoot, my bridal portraits, and the wedding and I couldn't be happier!

Editing is beautiful but communication and execution were lacking

Listen to me, Casey is amazing. We had a hurricane to deal with and when we had spurts of no rain, she was ready to go and she had a system. She was fast and was able to get all the shots without us getting soaked. She takes BEAUTIFUL pictures. I would book her again and again and again. And on top of that she's just an awesome person. Photography doesn't get any better. Not possible. I'll be using her for the rest of my life.

Casey is an amazing person and an amazing photographer. We found her through another friend's wedding and fell in love with her work. She works so well with lighting! Unfortunately my husband and I had already done our engagement photos before we booked Casey, but I was still able to work with her on 3 different occasions- boudoir, bridals, and our wedding day. She works closely with another photographer- Roman, who is also great! She works so quickly and gets your photos back to you before any other photographers will. She is also genuine and will work completely with you and will always take into consideration your suggestions. She is fun and professional all at the same time! Without a doubt I would hire Casey again to photograph our wedding! Lastly- she travels!!! And at a great rate. Her rates are so great that in most cities, you could get the same, if not better quality for her + travel expenses at the same or less the cost of most photographers in big cities!
