Cassy was the most amazing wedding planner! We were hesitant to hire a wedding planner, but I am so glad we did. She made everything feel like a breeze and kept me on track every week leading up to the wedding during the last month. She was incredible to work with and I would consider her a friend at this point! I hope to work with her again someday! Everyone in the Detroit area should hire her, she's the best!
I simply cannot say enough good things about Cassy and the entire CRE team. Cassy came on early in our planning process and from day one, was the positive difference. Her expertise is invaluable and truly made the entire planning process so enjoyable. Cassy's knowledge, organization, calm demeanor and humor are unmatched. Whether you are looking for a full service planner (her taste is amazing and attention to detail unreal) or month-of-coordination (Both my Mom and I were able to turn off our phones on my wedding day and totally soak up every moment knowing Cassy & team had it covered), you truly can't go wrong with Cassy Rose Events !!!
Hire Cassy now! First she found an amazing venue that barely existed on the internet. She wasn't even slightly phased when the venue needed *everything* brought in -- bathrooms, lights, full catering kitchen, power generator, etc. On the day of the wedding, there was no parking and no cell service to do all of the coordinating. If anything went wrong we had no idea, and she must've fixed it before anyone else knew either.
Her vendor recommendations were great, and she was candid about what was worth splurging or saving on. Right away, she helped us build a realistic budget, and was focused on getting us what we wanted within that budget.
My requests, concerns, and thoughts were taken seriously at all times, but I was also told when & why I was freaking out for no reason. She was communicative, responsive, and easy to get a hold of, without keeping me on the phone any longer than I wanted to be.
On top of all that she planned everything from across the country without missing a beat. She's the best!
I just LOVED working with Cassy for my December 2016 wedding in the Presidio in San Francisco - she was invaluable. I highly recommend her services!
Pre-wedding, I was able to leverage her connections and recommendations to round out my list of vendors, and everyone she pointed me to ended up being phenomenal.
About 6 weeks prior to the wedding we kicked off our weekly Wednesday night calls, and Cassy is beyond organized on top of EVERYTHING. Each week she'd document our "homework" for each of us which made it super clear and easy to determine what the next steps were. She was incredibly proactive at being in touch with all of our vendors, and would ensure all their deliverables were met (contracts, payments, set up times, etc). It was so nice to not have to worry about any of it, and I just loved the consistency of the weekly calls to make me feel at ease. She also worked very closely with my venue and managed our final walkthrough with both the caterer and venue staff to get everything nailed down.
During the wedding week, I don't even know what I would have done without her! She is just calm, hilarious, and a total pro. She ran our full rehearsal, made our family and friends feel SO excited and comfortable (my mom STILL talks about her), and finalized everything with the venue. And then on the wedding day, she and her assistant did everything from hanging the string lights and getting the rentals set up, to putting on boutonnieres and keeping me calm about the torrential rain.
During the wedding and reception, they were present for everything but totally inconspicuous, if that makes sense. They helped everything flow seamlessly - kept the DJ on schedule with toasts, set out the favors, loaded the gifts into my dad's car, delivered final payments and tips to every vendor, and supervised the take-down. Basically, she ran the show and did it perfectly and with an awesome personality and sense of humor.
We contacted Cassy a week in advance of our wedding. She accepted the opportunity to do it with us in a week. She is goal-oriented. She makes sure things.
Cassy was amazing. We hired her to support our entire planning process. She has fantastic research, planning, logistics, and organizational skills. But what really made her invaluable was her ability to listen to us (specially me) and plot out solution plans that instantly made problems and challenges seems infinitely smaller. Throughout the entire process I kept telling people I would have elope had it not been for Cassy. I absolutely loved planning our wedding with Cassy's help!
Hire Cassy. She completely overhauled my wife and my last month of wedding planning, and I cannot recommend her enough. Looking back at the entire year we spent planning our wedding, and how different our process was during the final month when Cassy took over, I wouldn’t just hire Cassy to be our Month of Coordinator again … I would make sure I got her ENTIRE planning services. I was blown away by Cassy, and I will always sing her praises to anyone who needs a planner. It was one of the best - if not THE best - decision we made throughout our entire process.
Nothing seems to throw Cassy off of her game. From the very first meeting we had, Cassy took the weight of planning off of our shoulders, and we realized just how much we needed someone like her on our team. Cassy was a perfect blend of professional and personal: always keeping us on track during our most stressful period, but also always making us laugh with every meeting we had. She was extremely organized and detail orientated, and somehow always managed to inject new energy into us when we thought we were all out (and trust me, you will get to that point multiple times during the process!) Any changes we requested were met with a smile on her face, and any issues which arose were handled in a breeze.
Our day ran so smoothly, and it was all down to Cassy’s amazing professionalism, energy, and incredibly deep knowledge of the entire industry. She was exactly who we needed, and I’m sure she is exactly who you’ll need too.

My wife and I used Cassy for month-of planning as well as some monthly planning phone calls leading up to our wedding. She was phenomenal with helping us plan our wedding. It was a seamless transition when we handed off our vendors to her for organization and planning. Her organization helped us stay on top of everything and was needed leading up to the wedding with everything else going on in our lives.
As for the wedding itself, Cassy and her staff were nothing short of amazing. Everything was coordinated perfectly from early morning to the end of the night and they made sure the wedding went smoothly - from every aspect. Hiring Cassy as our wedding planner is the single best wedding related decision we made. We live in Denmark, so while my family does live in the Bay Area, it would have been tough to plan from such a distance. We spent many a night skyping with Cassy, who really did all of the hard work of the planning, taking a lot of the stress away. When one of the vendors seemed inconsistent, she checked with another vendor to see if they were available before stressing us out with the news. It meant we didn't panic.
We had a perfect wedding. Our guests have proclaimed it the best wedding they have ever been to. It's been a month since our wedding day and still our friends are talking about how beautiful the space was, how good the food was, how incredible the band was, and how much fun they had.
We cannot recommend Cassy strongly enough! Stop your search for a wedding planner now and just hire her already!
When my daughter decided to get married at our friends' home in Sonoma County, I knew I was out of my league as an event planner. My daughter and her now-husband live and work in Denmark, and their ability to be involved in the on-site planning was limited. In addition, planning a wedding at a private home, especially one situated up a winding road on a mountainside, is much more difficult than having a reception at a hotel or country club. Our friends had hosted their nephew's wedding a couple of years before, so I knew that everything - tables, chairs, port-a-potties, generator, lighting, camping tents (we set up a tent village for the wedding party and out-of-the-area guests), and more - would have to be hauled up the mountain and back down it again. And even if I had been capable of lining up the appropriate vendors and keeping tabs on them, I wanted this to be my daughter and son-in-law's wedding, not mine. The question was not whether we needed a wedding planner but who it should be. About 15 months before the date we identified some likely prospects, and my daughter and her fiance interviewed them by Skype. They immediately connected with Cassy and felt that she listened to them and understood the feeling of rustic charm that they wanted to achieve.
My friend and I met with Cassy at the property to talk logistics. Cassy is warm and lovely but supremely well-organized and knows the local vendors well. She quickly conceived of the "flow" of the wedding and how to use the various parts of the property to full advantage. I gave Cassy our overall budget, and from that point on my most important jobs were to offer an opinion when asked and to write checks. Cassy held frequent Skype meetings with my daughter and son-in-law, and they made one trip to California a few months before the wedding to meet the caterer and some other vendors.
Our guests are still raving about the wedding and reception, some calling it the best wedding they have ever attended. It was a perfect reflection of the bride and groom - beautiful and gracious without being ostentatious, and slightly quirky. The flowers were gorgeous, and the food, served family-style at long tables on the lawn, was delicious. Our only complaint was that the fog decided to roll in around dinnertime, catching even the locals by surprise. But the band kept everyone warm by serving up one danceable song after the next!
Especially important to me was that Cassy handled the inevitable hiccups with aplomb and managed to keep us all organized and on task as we chipped in to help get the property ready. The biggest potential disaster was that the tent rental company started getting cold feet about 30 days before the wedding. This could have been quite a problem, as we had people coming from 3 continents who were planning on staying in the tents, and all local hotels were fully booked. Cassy quickly reached out to another vendor. When she notified us that there might be a problem she had already identified the solution, and we didn't experience the panic that would have set in when we realized we had nowhere for our guests to stay.
I would recommend Cassy in a heartbeat to anyone planning a wedding. It would be hard for any wedding to be more complicated than the one we put on, and her sure hand at the helm kept it within budget and made it fun for everyone, including the parents of the bride.
We had a blast working with Cassy to plan our wedding! She was incredibly professional and organized from the start and consistently went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. She sent us tons of vendor recommendations throughout the planning process, always giving us options at different price points, so we could choose when to allocate more or less from our budget. We worked directly with Cassy - she was always willing to set up an in-person meeting or a call and work around our busy schedules. Because she was on maternity leave for our actual wedding date, she made sure we had a smooth transition to working with another planner (whom she recommended and coordinated with) and everything went flawlessly on the day of. We would highly recommend Cassy to anyone who is looking for a fun, down to earth, and super organized planner!
Cassy Rose Events did a phenomenal job for our wedding. From our first email and subsequent phone call, to our weekly conversations leading up to the wedding, and they finally the execution on the day of.
I am sure every person planning an event desires to work with a certain type of person or personality. I knew I needed someone who would allow me a voice in creating our perfect wedding weekend, but also knowing when to be a bit assertive or give me some pushback. All in a very intentional way for us to communicate and so she could really get a full picture of what Ryan and I envisioned for our wedding. Again, I think each person personalities in planning could be different, and I strongly feel that Cassy adapts her style to each client. Her incredibly organized yet flexible nature would allow her the ability to thrive with any client's personality. She is very intuitive and likely gets a read of her clients from their initial conversations.
The wedding was absolutely fantastic. It was a "destination" wedding for us since we live in New York and the wedding was in Napa. I knew I had to have someone on the ground for more than just the day of coordination. Cassy heard our vision for the weekend and came back with excellent stylistic recommendations, decor plans, vendors she thought we would like, etc. She was very open to any changing, feedback, criticism, etc. because she genuinely wanted to make sure she was "hearing" what we wanted. I truly think she cared about that and therefore, there was never any "ego" brought into our conversations or those she had with venders, which I would imagine often comes into play when planning some of these events.
On the day of, of course there are some things that will occur that weren't planned, and some that won't occur as according to plan. Just be ready for that, as a piece of general advice, it's inevitable. But being flexible in this process will make your experience with wedding planning one that is enjoyable and memorable rather than one of experiences you hear from some people who were on the verge of calling the whole thing off :). But, knowing that things could get a little funky, I felt 100% confident knowing that Cassy would handle things beautifully, tactfully and seemingly stresslessly if things went awry.
If you like organization, she is the best. If you like personality, great! If you want to enjoy the person you are working with throughout this process, she is the way to go! Also, what is notable is how other people in the industry treat her and talk about her. She commanded herself with confidence, intelligence and kindness in every situation dealing with other venders. I genuinely appreciated that and I know they did as well - they told me.

Cassy is amazing! From our very first meeting up until now, she did not miss a beat. She is detail oriented, organized, diplomatic and a joy to work with. She's flexible and stern at the same time. She kept us on track on what needs to get done leading to the wedding day and offered support as needed. She has a wealth of knowledge and vendor resources. We used all the vendors that she recommended to us and we are so pleased that we did. All of them offered the same amazing service and attention to detail as she did.
She's easy to get a hold of no matter what. She even responded to our email while on vacation which was a nice surprise. She offered great ideas and alternative options as well.
Our wedding day was perfect! Cassy anticipated any issues that might arise and discussed it with us to have plans in place. She handled all the vendor communications on the day of our wedding which is crucial! She went above and beyond the call of duty and even made sure all the wedding/reception stuff was packed into our designated friends and family's car.
My husband and I are so grateful for all of Cassy's work. She is hands down the best coordinator in town and our favorite vendor.
Cassy was the best! She was a super resource for all things wedding weekend. Her good humor, incredible logistics, leadership, flexibility, resourcefulness, confidence and super human stamina to run all over our wedding property for hours on end kept our two type A, overly organized and particular minds at ease all weekend long. Whatever we left in her hands was executed to perfection. Whatever we needed throughout the day magically appeared moments later.
In my opinion, there are a lot of wedding planners that approach the weddings from a decorators perspective and can help you make your event beautiful and Cassy can do that all day long but, what really sets Cassy apart is her background in logistics and organization from her previous career. She ran our event like a precision exercise in logistics or in other words a tightly choreographed dance. Each moment cued the next and preparations for other moments coming up.
I would recommend Cassy to anyone that wants to not have a worry in the world on their wedding day.

Cassy was wonderful to work with. We used her month-of coordination services for our April 2015 wedding in San Francisco. In the weeks leading up to the wedding she was enthusiastic, reassuring, and very available by phone or email. Every meeting we had with her was timely, organized, and useful. She asks the questions you haven't thought about yet, listens to your ideas, and works hard to get a sense of who you and your partner are. Our wedding itself went perfectly, even with multiple locations and busing our guests all over the city. Without Cassy's help, there's no way things would have gone so smoothly! On top of her being a super capable and experienced coordinator, she's also just a really sweet and fun person-- so easy to work with and a pleasure to be around. Early on in the planning process, my husband was doubtful that we needed a coordinator at all, but he was completely sold after our meetings with Cassy. My family was very appreciative of her, too. I should also mention that Cassy was available and incredibly helpful by email for many months prior to the wedding, something I really appreciated. She sent vendor suggestions when we needed them and helped us figure out tricky logistical issues as we planned. Cassy was worth every penny, and we highly recommend her! Seriously, you won't regret it.

The idea of hiring "a wedding planner" seemed a bit frivolous to me at first, but I starting having some anxiety as we began finding vendors and realized I needed help. I definitely had a vision for our wedding and felt comfortable securing vendors, but I didn't want to have vendor/other issues come up day of and not be able to enjoy my once-in-a-lifetime event.
Because I had a decent amount of experience planning events for work, I was so happy to find that Cassy had different levels of support and ended up hiring CRE for week of coordination. And it was SO worth it!!
Cassy really goes above and beyond to know you, your partner and your expectations and is able to pair that information with the confidence, organization and charm to execute your vision! She is dedicated to excellence - she even knew the names of our family members before our rehearsal! She was great with them and they were giving me her compliments days later -- not sure how many wedding planners have that effect!
I felt so comfortable and care-free on my wedding day (I know I was surprised too!) and that wouldn't have been possible without knowing Cassy was on it and had everything under control. I didn't realize I would need a wedding coordinator until I started ironing out the fine details. Then, I realized there was a lot of things the day of the wedding that I would not have the time to deal with. Cassy was amazing! She was in contact with all of the different vendors ensuring everything was what we planned. She took care of everything. There are always hiccups the day of the wedding. For example, I had a few missing center pieces and I knew nothing about it because she quickly solved the problem. I didn't have to worry about my nephews being in the right place to walk down the aisle. It was so reassuring to know that if there were any questions or problems she would take care of it and let me enjoy the day. I can't express how valuable she was to me. She ran the show for the entire weekend!
Cassy worked with us as a day-of coordinator for our July 2014 wedding. Since we got married on a holiday weekend, she wasn't able to get an assistant, but she handled everything flawlessly. She was very open to what we wanted, adding welcome suggestions when we were stuck. We felt very lucky to work with Cassy as she was starting her business, her rates were within our budget and the service we received was priceless. Cassy was an amazing resource to have for our wedding! From the first time I met her, she put my mind at ease, and helped me remain calm throughout the wedding planning process. Her approach to weddings was open-minded, creative, and knowledgeable. She rolled with any challenge we threw at her- from big families, to unusual traditions, to complicated schedules. I loved that she brought a wealth of knowledge about weddings to our conversations, but yet, she was open minded and dedicated to my vision. Though she was booked as my "day-of" coordinator, she really acted as much more than that, helping with generating ideas, planning, and creating the overall vision.
She was not only helpful to me, but also to my friends and family. They all raved about her after the wedding, which I think is special. It is not every day that your wedding planner takes the time to get to know and help your family and friends! Of all my wedding vendors, Cassy is the one I've recommended to all my friends- and a friend just booked her for her upcoming wedding!
First of all, I was not one of those totally helpless hands off brides. I like planning, I am good at it and was, obviously, very invested in how my wedding day was going to turn out. That said, I had heard horror stories and knew that I didn't want to be stressing on my wedding day. Originally, I booked Cassy for simply day-of services, but after our initial consultation, I knew that I'd want her expertise in a few more areas. She found so many little glitches here or there in vendor contracts before I signed off and has these CRAZY organized systems for tracking budget (I'm pretty sure that was husbands favorite part!!). I was pretty anal about my creative vision, so I didn't give her much of an opportunity to get too involved in the creative process, but I'm sure she would excel there too. All in all, I'd say that she is well worth the money and I'd highly recommend her to friends!
